581  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: KSI vs Logan - Which website ? on: August 19, 2018, 10:29:28 AM
I don't know of any sites that accept BTC that are currently providing odds for this, but if there is further interest then it may be worth reaching out to a few reps on here.
582  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: [Project] Alagoria.com - Buy anything on Amazon for 10% Off Using Crypto on: August 19, 2018, 10:19:49 AM
Purse's default discount where they fulfill the order is 5%. Anything above 5% and you have to wait for an "earner" to fulfill. This can take weeks and can cause a lot of headaches. Our business model is a tad bit different. It's 10%, we handle the fulfilling of the order and there is no waiting.

Any recommendations of what you would like to see to illustrate that better? Maybe one of those comparison tables? Personally have never been a fan but am open to any specific recommendations.

Ah. I wasn’t aware of Purse only offering the 5%. They advertise on their site that you can make savings of 15%+  insinuating that 15% is the minimum discount.
I’ve also noticed that there is no current support for international Amazon sites. Is this something you’ll plan on introducing in the future or is it not cost effective? (Purse only has limited international support so this could be something you could tap into).

Yeah the 15% is not the minimum and not the norm.

International is a bit tricker because of the way gift cards work, but we're working on it.

I’ll keep looking then. Another option would be to have a reshipping service integrated that would allow for US orders to be shipped to the buyer hassle free. Just a suggestion and not entirely sure if it’s possiblr to have a business account with multiple forwarding addresses but just another idea...
583  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [Project] I.C.O Crypto Millionaires on: August 19, 2018, 09:36:25 AM
If you are all self-made millionaires having previously invested in crypto, why do you need other people’s money to keep hedging? I’m sure your bank balances are big enough to sustain your magic 8 ball trades.
584  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [INFO] Topps Allen & Ginter Reference Thread on: August 17, 2018, 05:26:16 PM
Well that's me out Cheesy - Maybe I should consider myself lucky that they don't have something like this on my end of the pond. Great job compiling this @hybridsole. Given the way that this has turned out and how their 1/1 auction is proceeding I think we'll be seeing plenty more crypto related cards coming out of Topps HQ.
Are total printing numbers ever disclosed for something like this? (I'm talking the standard cards).
585  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: FreeCash - the first casino that has a winners-only policy! on: August 17, 2018, 11:17:45 AM
I. Just. Had. To. Click.

Website is down. But checked out the stuff on Twitter and concept's pretty neat. No risk of own deposits. "Browser mine" crypto and use it to gamble.

if you think about the mentality of most of the forum users who would do anything for $0.05 in crypto, and who're willing to take fractions of cents worth of faucets just to "strike it big", you just might attract the attention of hundreds of willing users all mining and losing their satoshis at your casino. Possibly brilliant.

Burning question: why do you need an ICO for this?

This. (Website is running for me)
The concept is good and there is definitely a market for this (thing Swagbucks but with better technology).
If you have a MVP then finding funding shouldn't be too difficult and getting devs on board won't be as much of a challenge.
The only thing that I'd recommend is offering slightly higher rewards than traditional faucets and the like as you need to convince all those that are on the edge about gambling their rewards to use your site.
I think you are definitely onto something here but I too don't understand why there's a need for an ICO...
586  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Beginner's Luck on: August 17, 2018, 10:55:13 AM
Can confirm beginners luck is real. One of the first times that I went to the casino I managed to recover my losses and turn a nice profit by placing my last chips on the roulette table. I've seen it happen time and time again which is effective at getting noobs to come back so long as they cash out before they get greedy  Cheesy
587  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Best time to start cryptocurrency exchange platform like binance on: August 17, 2018, 10:49:56 AM
Almost anyone can start an exchange but it's more likely to end up like Cryptsy than it is to end up like Binance. Kudos for the aspiration though. Getting to the top takes time, perseverance and dedication. Remember that for every successful business many many more fail.
Building a trusted exchange is no simple task especially given the fact that you bare responsibility for everyone's funds that they've entrusted in your exchange.

590  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: [Project] Alagoria.com - Buy anything on Amazon for 10% Off Using Crypto on: August 17, 2018, 12:16:52 AM
What measures are you taking to ensure the GC sellers aren't using carded GCs? I don't know how Purse goes about it but then must be some protocol enabled to prevent this.
In terms of your site design, it seems too similar to the Purse site. If you're going to compete with them then it'd be advisable to try and set yourself apart. Changing the UI/layout may be a good place to start.

We are the ones who facilitate the transaction. So we are the ones who purchase the amazon accounts / codes from sellers. We go through an entire checklist to make sure everything is good and there is no foul cards. All purchases are covered by our $10k guarantee: https://alagoria.com/guarantee

It seems the majority of online retail goes via the same format. Search bar -> Info -> Top selling items. Open to see other retail examples that could be a better alternative. This is V1.

I never saw the guarantee so kudos to you for that. Glad to see you've got that part covered.
What I meant about the site UI is that its too similar in the sense that nothing is really setting you apart from Purse. I (as the end-user) need something on your site that would appeal to me more than Purse (considering the equal discount and current difference in reputation).
591  Other / New forum software / Re: New feature request: a "Report merit abuse button" on: August 17, 2018, 12:11:34 AM
It'll be too difficult to moderate. Just think about it. Some threads that are reported are left unhandled because a moderator cannot determine whether or not it is deemed necessary to move/lock/delete a thread. When it comes to merit abuse there is a lot more work involved as is there a greater degree of subjectiveness. Personally I don't think the moderators have enough time to dig through posts to determine whether or not that merit post was an abused use of the system.
592  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoins and a country's economy on: August 17, 2018, 12:02:30 AM
No country is able let alone ready to simply switch over to a fully digital based payment system economy (such as Bitcoin). Society will never allow it (for the time being) and there are far too many obstacles preventing it from happening in a long time.
One great example is Iceland's attempted release of Aura (Auroracoin) which failed miserably (albeit for more reasons than one). Regardless, the world just isn't ready for something like that just yet. We can hope but it'll take quite a long time before we see something like that happening.
593  Other / Archival / Re: Do i need a license if i want to create a crypto gambling site? on: August 16, 2018, 11:56:44 PM
This question has been asked multiple times on the forum so doing a forum search may bring some good results.
IIRC, , (in-short) there are a few countries that are more lax about the rules and licences one needs to obtain in order to operate a Gambling site. I'd focus my attention on Finland, Gibraltar and the Cayman Islands if I were you.

596  Economy / Goods / Re: BUILD AN EMPIRE: The Last of the Recovered Cryptsy Coins! [1.5 BTC] on: August 16, 2018, 06:05:23 PM
Can you provide proof that these were indeed purchased from the seized assets (if there were any?). It seems like an incredibly good offer at 1.5BTC for the lot unless they are encrypted in which case the chances of recovery are extremely slim.
597  Economy / Services / Re: Bounty Managers Rating on: August 16, 2018, 05:39:38 AM
Recognise a few names on there although can’t say that for the most part. It may be worth creating an updated one in English although saying that it’ll probably take quite some time is an understatement.
598  Economy / Goods / Re: [WTS/Interest Check] Genuine Cuban Cigars on: August 15, 2018, 12:43:40 PM
You have my attention!

Can you clarify the shipping process? Will they be in unmarked packages or at least "Not" include the word "Cuba"?

And are you talking singles? or can you do a full box?

Basically I'd be happy with whatever type you can come up with but I would ultimately love to have the Bolivar or Cohiba.
I can already see the dream - a strong drink while puffin' on a cuban. My mouth is watering...

Let me know. I would probably try a single first and go from there

Bolivar and Cohibas are both available. There are no singles but full boxes (10 or 25 depending on type - LE etc) and small boxes of tubed/singles (between 3,4 and 5 depending on brand).
In terms of shipping, they are packed discretely and shipped worldwide. There are various additional options available for shipping including having the cigars vacuum packed, nitrogen packed or packed reguakrly with or without  for when shipped including vacuum packed, nitrogen packed and with/without a humidipak.
599  Economy / Reputation / Re: User Cubic Earth - Merit farming between alt accounts on: August 14, 2018, 04:22:25 PM
Move this to the scam accusation sub if you believe theses accounts are farming merits.
DT trust members will intervene if they deem the proof to be valid enough.
600  Other / Meta / Re: Allowing Mods to Delete Scam Threads (Marketplace) on: August 14, 2018, 04:20:40 PM
But why ?

That is exactly what I have just explained. Moderating scams gives the perception that the forum is taking responsibility and that will lead to people blaming the forum when they get scammed by something the forum didn't lock or delete.

I understand your point of view but there are alternatives that won't give such a perception. For example, general rules that don't allow new members to lock new topics in the marketplace sub. I'm just trying to brainstorm here with idea that work for all.
The marketplace needs a big tidy up IMO and I thought that this would be a good place to start.
