What kind of garbage! In last release wallet impossible to send money! Error in wallet after send transaction: Error: transaction <a35a8fe80ca96cf1de2908369151e9858236580c063831b124876711456b73e5> was rejected by daemon with status "Failed"

WTF would you use a coin with incapable devs ? They copy past other coins fixes but they do it so badly that it happens to crash everything else. Oh and a side note; this coin has NO demand. Only 6 buy orders! I'd advise you to move to another coin. I wont even mention one. There is no need. Any coin you choosse is better. Well maybe not Auroracoin as it has a lot of similarities with BCN. RUN! The time you spend on this thread tells us all how you value it

Bytecoin is no longer with "** Significantly Premined" status on coinmarketcap.

I prefer developers over speculators, so Bytecoin is my choice Do you really prefer Darkcoin situation or Bytecoin situation? Developers should have credit. Forks count show it all. I don't think there will be clear winner tho. BTW nobody knows anything about Bytecoin coin distribution. It's anonymous coin, remember Any premine statement about how many people have those 80% are just nonsense.

Is there still need for Mac OS X build? PM me.

I like the new design. The thing that stunned me is why those efforts are made when the site is not mobile friendly? Not using bootstrap will force you to recode it in near future.

57.7% of all Litecoins are owned by 26 addresses (0.01%) 46% of all Dogecoins are owned by 58 addresses (0.01%) 39.8% of all Peercoins are owned by 31 addresses (0.14%) 39% of all Blackcoins are owned by 11 addresses (0.05%) And I can show you that all crypto currencies have this "problem". Do you really think premine, if any, is really such a big problem?
Also, I clearly see 2 hash rate spikes (one in September 2012 and one in August 2013) that convince me this coin is not premined. It is premined only if you define "premine" as "not mined by Bitcointalk community". And I think this is what drives crazy most of the guys here.

Is this coin mined mainly by botnets? I see the biggest pool has only 1.5% of the network hash rate. Where is all of the hash rate coming from?
This is the biggest pool which has about 50% of the network hash rate. http://moneropool.com/Didn't knew that one Thanks

I just received the letter from the developers. They say the issue with fresh start and "bytecoin" folder has been resolved.
There are updated binaries on the website.
I wrote to them yesterday It's a pretty fast reaction. And it's Saturday. Respect!

It's actually done in just 1 step. Just create the .bytecoin folder:
C:/Users/%Username%/AppData/Roaming/bytecoin - Windows ~/.bytecoin - Linux and Mac.
Cool Thanks for correcting.

Major Bytecoin update Bytecoin source code has been largely updated. 1) The block chain has been moved out of RAM, which cut down the usage from 4 GB to 850 MB. In the next releases it is expected to become as low as 350 MB. 2) The block chain file is now unified across all platforms. When you run the new binaries, the daemon will automatically convert your old block chain to the new format. Your "blockchain.bin" file will be split into 3 files: "blockindexes.dat", "blockscache.dat", "blocks.dat". Next week there will be another significant update! P.S. BCN devs would like to thank all the beta tester from the community that helped them launch this release. https://bytecoin.org/news.php#news1There is a huge bug in this release. Only users with downloaded blockchain can use is. Users with no downloaded blockchain will receive an error and daemon will not start. If you are a new user follow the following steps to get a working wallet:1. Download binaries 2. Create .bytecoin folder in the appropriate folder 3. Download the block chain into the .bytecoin folder 4. Start bytecoind 5. Start simplewallet Enjoy 21YR5mw5BF2ah3yVE3kbhkjDwvuv21VR6D7hnpm4zHveDsvq5WEwyTxXLXNwtU5K4Pen89ZZzJ81fB3 vxHABEUJCAhxXz2v

The domain is gone. It seems that whoever was in charge, didnt renew it on time .....
It is renewed at this moment, but the site is not opening. I am willing to help with this coin. Is there enough interest for a simple GUI Mac OS X wallet? If there are some bounties on iOS apps I can do that as well.

How to merge mine with the new binaries on Mac OS? Do I need to compile it again? Also, I don't see any improvement of my hash rate. I am getting 30 h/s with the daemon miner, and I can only start 1 thread. It's the same as before. For comparison, I am getting ~100 h/s with cpuminer-multi (mining MRO) and I can start it with 8 threads.

people say monero has the best/most active dev team
Would you consider it the best team who created a fork? Or the team who created the original coin? +1 Great coin, hugely undervalued.

Hi, I tried to use the binaries for Mac OS X on Mac OS X Mavericks and I got the following error: -bash: ./bitmonerod: Operation not permitted
I recompiled the source and it works now. My compiled binaries: https://mega.co.nz/#!pIB1RRQS!7iYg8YWRSXC_RyVSv-kb8MfMpJsLZEE_XtbQ86Ew56UMRO: 48UPv7XmJmzgruH7jnY59e1jdVCBHy3gfBBL6Epn2GJV7R7EgSc3k4qWMWkgWM1aueMyqUVw7ncwsWD EHHnusM3xVb5YAHa

I'm new here, and it's only my second day of mining QubitCoin, but isn't this a little bit strange:
Gen Est. Found Valid Orphan Avg Diff Shares Est. Shares Percentage Amount Rate Est. All Time 23,001 12062 11953 109 867.8552 1327804645 5339039 0.40% 24479842.51012 52.44%
Those are the stats from the pool I mine with. It seems like almost all coins are generated below expected share rate. In fact, on observation, <5% are generated above the expected rate.
