581  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The power of Bitcoin on: October 04, 2017, 02:43:59 AM
The power of Bitcoin, $10,000 Bitcoin Investment in 2010 Now Worth $200 Million
The proof of power of bitcoin is not in the price, i guess... it's the resistance against Segwit, China, and Dimon. Man, 2017 is such a tough year. Lots of bad news came out against bitcoin but it doesn't kill it - it made it stronger, instead.
582  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: A day in the life of a Bitcoin Trader on: October 02, 2017, 06:13:08 PM
Define "Trader" for me, Please.
I am a newbie and have bought stocks for over 50 years.
Man, you must be old! ha ha ha! Anyway, the major difference between cryptocurrency and stock market is the government. Everything else is the same. Think about it this way - Ethereum is "McDonalds", Litecoin is "Apple Inc", Ripple is "IBM", and Bitcoin is "US Dollars" - and then Poloniex is "Nasdaq". So just like the good old days, you would pick a stock of your choice and then keep it on your portfolio, wait for the price to climb up, and then sell... and then wait for the price to pull down a little bit and then buy back. You see it is not very much different from the stock market, is it? - Though stocks and exchanges are regulated by the SEC; cryptocurrency on the other hand, is a punk - nobody regulates it. Verily, the only risk for you grandpa, is once those exchanges decide to go out of business, your coins go out of business too.
583  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: use Bitcoin to buy other cryptocurrencies ? on: October 02, 2017, 05:47:00 PM
the question is in the title. Is it possible?
Have you ever tried trading in your entire life? How do you think you are going to buy altcoins anyway? Sometimes you just have to research such topics in this forum and you will definitely find an answer. Anyway, let me give you something to ponder - go to this website https://www.poloniex.com and please do yourself a favor, create an account and then transfer your bitcoins to your poloniex btc wallet. After doing it, you'll surely figure out the answer to the topic.
584  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: When do you plan to sell? on: October 01, 2017, 10:02:01 AM
I honestly don't want to sell as much as I can. My vision is that someday bitcoin will be recognized globally as a peer-to-peer payment and I won't be needing papers anymore. My job pays me bitcoins and I haven't earned fiats for a while - believe me, I haven't been this financially liberated before. A piece of advice, don't sell your bitcoins too soon especially if you don't need immediate cash. Just hold on and let's see what will happen on 2020.
585  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What if China ban was temporary on: October 01, 2017, 09:02:55 AM
What if? - I honestly don't care too much anymore. About a month ago, I didn't know what will happen to my career since I had left my day job and focused on bitcoins and writing blogs. Currently, I am exclusively earning bitcoins and what happened a month ago had bring so much pain in my ass. However, after that catastrophe, I became more confident with bitcoins and realized that its not only China who plays this game that I am playing - I also have South Korea, Japan, and India. So if ever I read another news about China and Bitcoin, I wouldn't give a damn anymore. Price might pull down a little but as I have said, I became more confident with bitcoins now. No offense to the Chinese.
586  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Another Good Reason to Own Some BTC on: September 30, 2017, 10:40:44 AM
Its always could be some excuse to meet some local people as well. You have one topic to talk in common. Maybe its some nice girl that you were looking for and such.
This is the best answer that I had read so far. ha ha ha. Imagine yourself travelling in Australia and then there you see a very cute vegan-shaped Aussie wearing "buy bitcoin" tees. Man you just walk right next to her and ask if she's into bitcoins. That should break the ice.
587  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin finally legal in India on: September 30, 2017, 09:16:03 AM
I really don't know how they legalize or i-legalize such thing as bitcoin because you are using it with your own internet and computer hardware maybe they just not supporting it before but every citizen of India can use it no matter what happens unless their government issue a criminal liabilities in using bitcoin.

any law regarding bitcoin (legal or illegal) is always about businesses. they can never force individuals to use or not use bitcoin.
so they place laws regarding:
- trading bitcoin in exchanges (exchanges are centralized place, like a business)
- accepting bitcoin (again a physical shop or an online one is known)

if they make it illegal, the exchanges close and the shops stop accepting bitcoin.
and if they make it legal exchanges open or continue and same with shops.
Now that makes a lot of sense. Anyway, John Mcafee (my childhood idol) is backing up the development of cryptocurrency in India and it sounds good for me in the name of Bitcoins. India is adopting Bitcoin enthusiastically for nearly 10 percent of global cryptocurrency trades in May 2017 says thequint.com. 1 out of 6 people in this planet is an Indian, if China plays hard-to-get then let the Indians rule it. Now I'm starting to love Indians (but I still hate my boss from my previous company, his name is Sandeep, and he still sucks)
588  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is died! on: September 30, 2017, 08:01:51 AM
Yes, it did... especially when China and Dimon cried out loud and scared the hell out of the weak hands. It dies everytime the noobs sell their shares on bad news and the fags follow their lead. Anyway, bitcoin is not a vertebrate though, so it could die multiple times but it will resurrect just like the Mario Brothers game or like the Pacman. Yesterday I heard that South Korea is planning to ban ICOs so I expected another crash early this morning; but what have happened was the other way around. Anybody can talk shit about bitcoins but I don't care - it is only for the strong.
589  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bittrex or Poloniex. which one do you like to trade? on: September 29, 2017, 09:59:47 AM
We know that Bittrex and Poloniex are the most sought after exchangers.
But I want to know which one is best to trade? and I want to know why.
Thanks.  Wink
I choose Poloniex over Bittrex just because I like it's graphic interface. However, as far as I can remember back in June, when all altcoins are down in Poloniex there are green altcoins in Bittrex which had given me at least profit during the bloody nights. Another reason why I choose Poloniex is the Gunbot. I run a BTC/ALTCOINS algo 24/7 in Amazon Webspace, and recently added funds for USDT/BTC algorithm.
590  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: did you place all your funds into bitcoin? on: September 29, 2017, 09:17:34 AM
I am thinking .. to put all my money in bitcoin what do you think? is it a good way to grow my money? or it is risky or.. ?
Well, I did... please feel free to read my blog - https://thenoodlepunk.wordpress.com/2017/09/18/punk-goes-block-chain/ - Anyway, I don't have plenty of cash or paper money in my wallet nor in my bank account - I only keep as little as what I need for a week because my salary is BTC. Now, if you want to know the risk, or to see how your money grows - you must try it yourself - because your cost of living might be different from most of us here. Please be informed that your paper-money is also at risk, it is nothing much different from BTC anyway. Have you heard what is happening now in Zimbabwe? Read - https://cointelegraph.com/news/bitcoin-trading-at-85-premium-in-zimbabwe-priced-at-7200 - I know not everyone would agree, but BTC and FIAT are just the same (or shall I say the latter is better), it's just a matter of perception from the end-user. PS: Your financial decisions should not be directly influenced by somebody else's thoughts... don't make it a habit asking what do you have to do with your money because that won't bring you any good. If you want financial freedom, then do your own research. read, watch, observe, not ask... CAVEAT.
591  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: First China Now South Korea on: September 29, 2017, 08:44:51 AM
What should we do keep your bitcoin, sell it, or buy more?

now because I am a little skeptic, but I can see that there is no decreasing value of the the BTC... Huh
That is your money, my friend... I won't solicit an advise from just anybody if I were you. Anyway, I had heard the news about South Korea plotting ban against ICOs but I haven't read anything there about bitcoins or putting exchanges on cease. Here is my source: https://cointelegraph.com/news/south-korea-ico-ban-bitcoin-price-ethereum-show-market-not-impressed. Your profile indicates that you are new to this kind of bizkneez, and I assume that you are a weak-hand in the making. Now, moving on, I can only give you something to ponder about - anything that you cannot afford to lose, convert it back to fiat asap. However, If the bitcoin price goes to the moon, then blame the article on Twitter (which I assume where you had read the news) but at least you had nothing to lose. CAVEAT.
592  Economy / Speculation / Re: Are we in a bull trap? We’re forever blowing bubbles on: September 28, 2017, 03:32:49 AM
What is wrong with the bubble, anyway? People are slowly adapting bitcoin and it hasn't reached the 1/4 of the world's population yet. That's why I don't see any reason for you to panic about it being a bubble. As a matter of fact, everytime the price goes way down, there are new supporters coming right up... many of them are probably newbies who were waiting for a perfect entry price. The cycle will repeat, and repeat, until it hits the $10,000 mark - and then it might go down for a little bit of correction... then here comes the new set of supporters. I hope you realize how the market psychology works. Maybe yes it is a bubble, but not until the grandson of your grandson becomes a grandpa. But for the mean time, let's make money out of it... don't be too scared amigo.
593  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Stocks or crypto ? which has great future? on: September 28, 2017, 03:11:26 AM
i am kinda new to Cryptocurrency .
i am going great in stocks. its really technical and fundamental kinda investments
as i see Cryptocurrency its alot more easy to invest and forget
should i shift to Cryptocurrency and start investing without tension and stress?
I had become a huge fan of stock market trading for quite a while – when suddenly, I met a genius, he introduced me to the Bitcoin.
Bitcoin had given me a lot of options to make a living. After learning it, I have decided to leave the stock market behind and move all my assets to bitcoin.
- This is what I wrote in my blog about a week ago. Honestly, there is nothing bad in trading with the stock market but I just find it a bit slow-return-of-investment. Another thing that I'm not a fan of - stocks' prices can be easily manipulated by the mainstream media and the government. In fact, when they declared conflict with the Chinese, casino related stocks went down by 50% and that is not something for me to be happy about.

595  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Time management. on: September 27, 2017, 07:14:15 PM
Most of us have a daily responsibilities.
How do you manage your time in trading and in bounty campaign as well as researching for the news and updates of your favorite altcoin?

Every morning, I wake up and make 100 push ups to let my blood rush into my brain, then have a cup of coffee before opening my machine and start working with blogs and trade altcoins at the same time. It takes 10 hours of my day to deal with this kind of job, then the remaining 14 hours are for sleeping and other chores.  Grin

That's how boring my life is...
596  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: One more critic for Bitcoin. on: September 27, 2017, 06:42:40 PM
Its like hearing a mailman talking shit about lycos in the late 90s.  Grin
Anyway, I would probably find it weird if a banker says something positive about bitcoin. But you know what, I guess both of them had bought bitcoins on dip  Grin
597  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Another hard fork coming in October. New Bitcoin name is "Bitcoin Gold" on: September 27, 2017, 03:17:53 PM
Well, I'll keep my share as soon as the fork happens. I like the idea that my hard wallet used to support BTC alone but after the fork on BCH, they upgraded my wallet and became able to support the new blockchain. Now, it seems like I'll be getting another free set of coins.

Regarding BTC price, I guess there is no need to panic at the moment... if the price goes down then it's gonna be an opportunity to buy.
598  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Let's make ‘Buy Bitcoin’ Sign Appears Everywhere! on: September 27, 2017, 09:24:27 AM
I actually have a sticker at the rear of my car, and will soon wear a tshirt with "buy bitcoin" print on it... unfortunately, I don't go out that much. ha ha ha! Anyway, I would sell t-shirts soon, gonna post it here in the services section (I'm just waiting to rank up since nobody loves to deal with a Full Member that much). I need to earn money since I don't want to go back to having a day job anymore.
599  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin's Price Is Behaving Sticky on: September 27, 2017, 09:15:09 AM
I assume that the Chinese are on a solid HODL at the moment (probably because there is no easy way to cash in/out).  Grin
For a man who has been earning a lot from bitcoin, it is definitely hard to just let go, move on, and go back to fiat... I assume that most of the Chinese are looking for an alternate way in cashing out. VPNs + BTC-Yen-Yuan would do the trick if you know what I mean.
600  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Nexon purchased Korbit - the second largest exchange in South Korea on: September 27, 2017, 08:59:39 AM
an exchange is hardly the "bitcoin community"!!
the only reason they are doing that is because there is a good chance of exploiting and making a lot of money. if you check the Korean exchanges you can see how fake they have been and how many altcoin pump and dumps the exchange itself is doing!
Where the hell in the my post did I say that an exchange defines the bitcoin community? Your replies are damn too aggressive.

Quote
not at all.
the government has banned ICOs which we all know what a good move it was.
and also they have closed the exchanges but not at all trading. the volume coming from China is still big.
Hell yeah? can you share your source on "the volume coming from China is still big."?

here is mine:
Currently, the Japanese yen accounts for 47.3% of BTC volume by currency, followed by the U.S. Dollar with 32.52%, which adds up to almost 80%. China's share, which was hovering around 90% levels a year ago, is now condensed to 4.54%. While the South Korean won and euro are at 7.34% and 4.85% respectively, according to cryptocompare.
