Coming from Labcoin-Thread where everyone screams to call the SEC and seeing the ActiveMining Thread were everyone hates the SEC and wants to get rid of them... oh the irony... Smiley

I dont like the pricedrop i see in my asset so far...

@kslaughter... Whats the status of the mining farm?
5802  Local / Trading und Spekulation / Re: Bitfunder ohne US Bürger+Verifizierung für alle on: October 09, 2013, 08:23:11 PM
5803  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Klondike - 16 chip ASIC Open Source Board - Preliminary on: October 09, 2013, 08:20:11 PM
Is there no one that lives near BKKCoins and can check his place? Maybe a subforum will help when his details are known. Or is there no address?
Its really strange...
5804  Local / Biete / Re: [Gruppenkauf] Avalon ASIC Chips (SebastianJu) Batch 6 bestellt (geschlossen) on: October 09, 2013, 08:15:51 PM

5805  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [Open] CoinCraft Desk (1000) Shares - Escrow by SebastianJu *Updated W/New Miner on: October 09, 2013, 10:13:16 AM
I will provide Escrow here. The Escrowaddress is:

When the needed amount is reached i will order the Miner with the target address provided by SolarWindMining.
5806  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Work in progess] Burnins Avalon Chip to mining board service on: October 08, 2013, 04:34:36 PM
So my chips from Zefir which have been with you for over a 10 days now have not been even sent to production?

Guess what buddy, it's not only your chips.
There are plenty of people waiting for their remaining boards to be shipped, including me.
You are free to take your business elsewhere if you are not satisfied with the service provided.

Sincerely,
Go cry somewhere else.

I know other peoples chips are there as well, asshole.  It's not crying when my problem is completely legitimate. I just voiced my discontent because we were promised a board production capacity of, and I quote burnin:

"Timescale:
Usual Processing time for on order: 5 to 10 Days after receiving the customers chips.
Production capability ~1000 modules per week.
"

Did he overestimate his production capability? Probably, but then he shouldn't have promised something he couldn't even meet even 50% on. I have heard barely a peep from burnin, and only received half-assed responses to a couple of the several emails I have sent him since August. Did he overwhelm himself? Probably, but, it shouldn't be at our expense, HE is the one who claimed to be able to meet the demand. I very much applaud him for his time and effort, and I doubt he is making much money on this project, but that is a risk he took, as is the risk I (and everyone else here) took, to give him money to pay for a service he claimed to be ready to do.

Granted hes busy building them, and I very much commend him for his time and effort into this, but between the Avalon chip debacle, the delays with burnin's production, and then the fact that it has to be shipped internationally to me (and many more of us), we'll be lucky to have paperweights by the end of October, given that difficulty is increasing 20-30% every 10 days. Problem is, I already have a sunk cost of 240 chips from zefir, and the fact that burnins production rate is significantly slower than originally claimed is incredibly frustrating.

If me voicing my very much valid concern is 'crying' to you, then feel free to hit the ignore button. That's what it's there for right?

Its different than before this all went to waste. Firstly... he only can afford to pay one assembler now since the amount of boards that will be built are way less than anticipated. That lowers the speed. Next thing is that the assembler without noticing burnin started to mainenance his placement machines. Another result of the late time the chips came in. And the next thing is that zefirs chips came even later than mine. Which means bitfury boards were already in production in the meantime. So the bitburners for zefir now got a place in line again.

Everything result of the late coming of the chips and the small amount of boards to be produced now.
5807  Economy / Securities / Re: [BTC-TC] Virtual Community Exchange [WINDING DOWN] on: October 08, 2013, 02:21:56 PM
Shouldnt trading have stopped? I still see trades in labcoin history.
5808  Local / Deutsch (German) / Re: Breaking: Silk Road geseizet, Betreiber verhaftet on: October 08, 2013, 01:59:25 PM
As long as the drug trading is forbidden nothing good comes from connecting bitcoins to drug trading. This only would lead to stupid old mans screaming that bitcoins has to be forbidden. Even though bitcoin cant be forbidden so easily it would hurt the bitcoinprice very much. And a currency that cant be used to buy many things it not really useful in the long run.

The only way i would find it ok for bitcoins connected to drugs is, when drugs are legal. The war on drugs in lost and when america tried to forbid alcohol it had the same effect it has today. Criminals took over the business.
5809  Local / Biete / Re: [Gruppenkauf] Avalon ASIC Chips (SebastianJu) Batch 6 bestellt (geschlossen) on: October 08, 2013, 12:29:20 AM

5810  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [Group Buy] Avalon ASIC Chips (SebastianJu) Batch 6 ordered (Closed) on: October 08, 2013, 12:26:00 AM
I called him today. He told me that all of our boards are built, a couple of them are still tested at the assemblers place and burnin is packaging and shipping boards each day. Though of course he couldnt tell me when all will be done.
5811  Local / Deutsch (German) / Re: Breaking: Silk Road geseizet, Betreiber verhaftet on: October 02, 2013, 10:10:40 PM
Wink

Gold, Euros, Mining Equipment?
5812  Economy / Securities / Re: [LABCOIN] IPO [BTCT.CO] - Details/FAQ and Discussion (ASIC dev/sales/mining) on: October 02, 2013, 10:07:34 PM
If not a scam, and if they had the chips, and if those chips hashed, Labcoin would still not be able to compete with real ASIC companies due to having an obsolete chip.

Maybe you should ask friedcat why he ordered again a big batch of the oldest asic gen.
5813  Economy / Securities / Re: [LABCOIN] IPO [BTCT.CO] - Details/FAQ and Discussion (ASIC dev/sales/mining) on: October 02, 2013, 10:04:19 PM
Fail logic.

1.  If Labcoin
had chips, and those chips hashed, and hashed at full speed, it could cook up moar batches & mine with those chips at cost.

2.  If Bitfury, KNC, ASICminer, Avalon, etc.
had chips (they do), and those chips hashed (they do), and hashed at full speed (they do), they could cook up moar batches & mine with those chips at cost.

See the problem here?

The problem? That you assume they dont have chips? I dont see another problem. They have chips that have a problem that has to be solved. Thats it. When this works they will mine and sell hardware. What else?

Everyone has better chips? You realize that this isnt for endusers?
Well yes I do realize that.
My point is that even end-users are going to have it better than Labcoin.
And again, you are completely ignoring that any delays are deadly. Difficulty is going to explode.

Right... diffi is exploding. But where do you have the idea from that endusers can compete with someone owning an asic design? I think THATS deluded.

Quote
Even Asicminer is ordering another big batch of the oldest asic gen.
Which is better than Labcoin's, is known to work, and probably costs a lot less now that they're used to make it. And they can sell it fast, too.

Quote
Simply because they OWN the design and can create miners at cost. Thats completely different than the competition between endusers buying expensive miners from companies. So no, these chips are not dead. You cant calculate with enduserprices here.
You are so deluded. What they "OWN" is a turd.

Did you read the chat? The chip design seems to work. So when they make another batch with better enclosure they have chips that will work fully.
Claiming that owning a working chip design is worthless... man, im not sure if i can take you serious.
5814  Local / Deutsch (German) / Re: Schweizer Abgeordeter beantragt Bitcoinverbot on: October 02, 2013, 09:54:22 PM

5815  Local / Deutsch (German) / Re: Breaking: Silk Road geseizet, Betreiber verhaftet on: October 02, 2013, 09:50:28 PM

5816  Local / Deutsch (German) / Re: Breaking: Silk Road geseizet, Betreiber verhaftet on: October 02, 2013, 09:32:32 PM

5817  Economy / Securities / Re: [ActiveMining] The Official Active Mining Discussion Thread [Self-Moderated] on: October 02, 2013, 09:21:03 PM
@kleeck... how certain is it that these miners are in hands of the miners on start of december? And even though i think the calculator you used it the best available... this website only takes a certain percent of diff rise per month. Even though its 126% per month now this 30 day percent constantly is rising. So i think the div will be maybe at 137% then 158% and so on the next months. So i think the calculation probably is too good to be true. On top the uncertainty that comes with preorders.

We don't truly know when products will be shipped from anyone. Could be end of November, could be the end of December. This is the best analysis I knew how to do.

The Genesis Block uses near-exponential difficulty rises from month to month. I think the projections are plenty realistic.

Yes, they user exponential difficulty. But thats not enough. Exponentially would be 30% each month. But these percent per month are rising exponentially itself. Thats even worse.
5818  Economy / Securities / Re: [LABCOIN] IPO [BTCT.CO] - Details/FAQ and Discussion (ASIC dev/sales/mining) on: October 02, 2013, 09:18:38 PM
Ok but you realize what Pankkake is saying is that. The LAST of the funds for Labcoin will be going into fixing chips that CANNOT be fixed. That is what Pankkake is saying. So when you run out of FUNDS and have NO working chips. What do you reinvest with? And with that, what do you reinvest in? there is no one on the team to design the chips anymore. That guy has apparently been gone for months.

As far as i read its only the package that is faulty. So simply use another package with the next production run and you can reuse the chipdesign. He did not say that the chipdesign is faulty.

This is not a normal Mining Company. This is a reinvesting mining company that owns their own asic design.
Ugh, I hope everyone here knows that already.
Here's the thing: it's worthless. Everyone else has better chips now and is planning even better chips. Why would they produce more chips… when they're the worst on the market?
They had a tiny window, and they missed it big time.

Everyone has better chips? You realize that this isnt for endusers? Even Asicminer is ordering another big batch of the oldest asic gen. Simply because they OWN the design and can create miners at cost. Thats completely different than the competition between endusers buying expensive miners from companies. So no, these chips are not dead. You cant calculate with enduserprices here.
5819  Economy / Securities / Re: [LABCOIN] IPO [BTCT.CO] - Details/FAQ and Discussion (ASIC dev/sales/mining) on: October 02, 2013, 08:37:23 PM
In the latest Q&A Labcoin did not want to do a refund but said he would spend the bitcoins he still has to fix the chips, as an excuse to not refund the coins left in the company. The chips are now way too late so even fixing them will not be cost-effective. Even if they are legit, they are doing something that will be less profitable for their investors than a refund... so... scam anyway.

This is not a normal Mining Company. This is a reinvesting mining company that owns their own asic design. With this it doesnt matter much when the first chips come online. They will reinvest and gain a certain amount of network hashrate. Thats completely different as mining companies that have a hashrate target in TH and then stop and its different from the average reinvesting security that has to buy for nearly enduserprices.
5820  Economy / Securities / Re: [LABCOIN] IPO [BTCT.CO] - Self-Moderated NO-FUD discussion thread. on: October 02, 2013, 08:14:37 PM
I wonder if this board can do much. I mean there was already TheSwede who should keep contact with Sam. It didnt work because Sam didnt inform him correctly. So why should this change now with 10 persons waiting? I dont really see it.
On the other hand... if these 10 persons really have knowledge they could provide real help to sam.

I dont have the skills for judging there, i would like to provide help though im not sure if i could be any help. But my main concern is if these 10 people will get a better contact than theswede.
