5841  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Influence of Bounty Participants on: November 07, 2018, 12:49:24 PM
Yes, bounty hunters can greatly influence the new ico project. On the one hand, it’s good that there are a lot of participants and there will be strong marketing, but even that can scare some away. But there should be at least some restriction, because at the end of the bounty there can be very small payments and many will simply not be satisfied. There, the bounty manager must find a middle ground for everyone to win.
If bounty participants have not been a major influence in the success of ICOs, I am sure by now, no team with new projects will even be bothering themselves with any bounty campaign at all. One thing with something is that there will always be an advantage as well as disadvantage, but in a way, when the advantage is far more than the disadvantages, I am sure, no one will not just prefer to discard the disadvantages and focus more on the advantage, which in this case, having a cheaper way to advertise is one thing that will always work for the team.

With respect to dumping, it should be noted that it is not only bounty participants that are the culprits here, whale investors tend to get huge bonuses as well and they try to dump it all for the weak hands who want to be selling at loss, and those weak hands in this case are even some of the bounty hunters who are always busy selling far below the ICO price.
5842  Economy / Economics / Re: 2018 the year of correction? on: November 07, 2018, 12:08:33 PM
If this year is allocated for bitcoin and crypto corrections, then so be it. I know the advantage of correction brings to cryptocurrencies. If that is so, i expect an inflation of crypto prices in the coming months.
This is just a short term thing as we are not even close at all to mainstream adoption, which I solely believe will bring a huge increase in value in the long run. One thing a lot of people find pretty hard to wrap their heads around is that corrections are normal for long term and sustainable growth.

If the market just keeps moving up without some slight corrections or big corrections we are seeing now, it will never turn out well as this is when we will get to eventually see a huge crash, but for a steady gradual growth, over time, it is always sustainable and that is where I believe we are headed.
5843  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I wonder how many people have heard of TRX, DASH or IOTA? on: November 07, 2018, 09:40:18 AM
DASH and IOTA rank top 10, while TRX ranks top 11 by matket capitalization, but it seems that they are not as famous as the other altcoins. Too weird...
Just speak for yourself bro, the truth is that if you have been in this space for a long time, and you have not heard about those coins you have mentioned, then it is possible you have been hiding in a hole ever since for you not to have observed what is happening in the space you are in.

These are projects that have gained huge ground and most long term investors that have been here and even some new investors who have spent some few months, one way or the other, must have come across these ones that you have mentioned. So the fact that you are saying they are not as famous as the other altcoins, is even the weird thing here.
5844  Economy / Economics / Re: Cryptocurrency - future? on: November 07, 2018, 07:59:41 AM
Cryptocurrency will develop further in the future, many people use cryptocurrency as a medium for payment, because cryptocurrency provide convenience.
I believe that is something we will most definitely get to see in the long run as there is simply nothing that will stop that. For a while now we are already seeing most governments rather than trying to fight the space are beginning to gradually embracing it as an alternative for payment, knowing this is something that will be big and would be a new way for doing things.

So, I will not doubt the fact that one way or the other, they will be able to come to terms with the idea of at least looking for a way to keep benefiting from it as long as it does not pose too much threat for fiat.
5845  Economy / Economics / Re: Government should implement blockchain technology to prevent corruption. on: November 02, 2018, 12:41:57 PM
Corrupt officials in some countries will not go for the use of blockchain technology, but European countries with low levels of corruption are likely to integrate this technology into their structure and further reduce the level of corruption. But this is just one example of the use of blockchain technology in the economic structure of a country.
Anyways if you look other side your opinion is good since it will reveal the truth  what government is doing with our money. If the government is corruption they never use it and i know almost all governments are doing corruption.
I am sure a lot of corrupt settings in the world where corruption has dug so deep, will find it hard to implement blockchain technology into the system to prevent corruption. In these places, the level of oppression due to the fact that some are just extremely rich looting funds that belong to the whole country's development has been going into their own pockets.

However, as time goes on, we will get them being pushed and forced one way or the other, but unless there is some enforcement and there is a leadership serious enough to bring development into the country, nothing will change much if it is never utilized effectively.
5846  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will Cryptocurrencies rise or fall on: October 31, 2018, 10:10:11 AM
Will cryptocurrencies continue their downfall or enter a trend reversal? What is your chart study and identified key indicator.

the indicator can change according to the situation and it seems that for this year there is no significant change for market growth, I think the downward trend still dominates in the coming months, but you can still speculate especially for trading
That is even a question that sounds pretty vague. We all know that this is a market and every market is always bound to rise and fall, and asking if cryptocurrencies will rise or fall is more like asking us, what we know will be happening tomorrow.

At this point, we all know that the market generally is oversold, and in such cases, there will always be a chance to see reversal, but that depends on so many factors, with a lot of it being channeled towards bitcoin movement. Best we can just do is to always take advantage of the dips, have plans both for the long term as well as anything going wrong, and deal with your strategy.
5847  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will dogecoin pumped in 2018 ?? on: October 27, 2018, 07:55:55 AM
it seems that doge coin is still unpredictable, sometimes the price of dogecoin can rise higher or can drop dramatically. now dogecoin is still the favorite coin that many traders have even though the price is in a low position, so maybe doge will continue to grow and we wait for a surprise from doge.
Doge is always unpredictable but I would not consider it as a coin I will want to be holding for so long, but would rather just keep seeing it as a coin to just be trading based on the movement.

This is a coin that lacks development, and it is a more of speculative coin with nothing much to expect from it in the long run. So, in this case, I would not see doge as a coin any one should even be considering as something to be holding as an investment basically, while waiting for a moon when there are likely other better projects with product that are not classifies as jokes one can invest in.
5848  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: December is coming no real growth for alts yet... on: October 25, 2018, 12:14:59 PM

People in the world of cryptocurrency are all hoping, expecting, praying and also wishing that come the end of this year -- December 2019 -- there can be a bull run for both Bitcoin and the rest of the cryptocurrency market. Sadly, things are not yet picking up and I am not seeing big signs that we can have it this year.

I am concerned that if there will be bull run (even a mild one will do) this year, we can be starting the year 2019 with a gloomy mood setting up for the rest of the year a bearish situation. Of course, not unless maybe there can be that ETF thing approval from SEC maybe that can be the big difference.

If you keep hold your coins, it will become hard pressure into your mind and strategy. Down trend still running and every news can't create speculation to raise higher price action in significant value, everything look's empty for me. I'm not suggest you to cut loss but think and do realistic is need to be done. See again your strategy and fix it, good luck to you.
The way a lot of people are always in haste to experience something is the main reason why this market is really speculative driven most of the time. Sometimes, I wish people can actually get to listen to themselves when they are saying certain things.

We are still in quarter 4 and it has not ended yet, but one thing certainly is that when it comes to huge growth and bull run for altcoins, it does not have to take couple of months to see them achievable; it is all about patience and how far you are able to take advantage of accumulating now.
5849  Economy / Economics / Re: Poor Internet Services Could Cause Hamper Crypto Adoption in Africa on: October 25, 2018, 11:28:14 AM
Well here in Africa, Nigeria to be specific, the number of people who have access to internet is more than the whole population of some European countries.
And currently Nigerian is the 5th largest country where bitcoin is traded! ...The only thing that could hamper the growth and adoption of crypto and blockchain in Africa is the skepticism of the people towards the technology. Which can be easily resolve with good amount of educational programs,
crypto and blockchain conferences will also do a lot of good in the space.
I guess I can say the same over here as well. I am not a Nigerian, but I have been to Nigeria, and even though I could say I was just in some of the major cities here on some philanthropic mission, I would say it is not very bad to the point at which a lot of people put it generally like Africa is just some bush with no one having an access to internet.

It may be low when compared to the population in general, but it is not that bad when comparing the statistics of those who have access to internet in Africa and in the global space. Like you said, with good educational programs, and more exposures, this is something that can easily be adopted by a lot of people in this part of the world.
5850  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Chilean Study Shows Only 39% Have Heard Of Cryptocurrency on: October 20, 2018, 12:28:41 PM
Chilean Study Shows Only 39% Have Heard Of Cryptocurrency

A recent study performed by researchers in Chile shows that of their subjects, only 39% have heard of cryptocurrency…

https://www.trackcoinmarket.com/en/crypto-news/34226/chilean-study-shows-39-heard-cryptocurrency
Well, that is just only a study applicable to Chile, but really, to look at the statistics and the fact that we are still in an early phase, it is not a bad one at all. 39% as far as I am concerned is a pretty good start and I know as time goes on, there would be more people who will want to be a part of the cryptocurrency space both in Chile and in the whole world entirely.

For most part when we are looking at the global space entirely, it is still a little bit low and I am sure we are not even close to 5% globally, so which means we still have a long way to go, but we are going to get there.
5851  Economy / Economics / Re: Bullish news: Fidelity made it easier for hedge funds to invest in crypto on: October 19, 2018, 12:47:46 PM
we hope this is could be main trigger for bitcoin and cryptocurrency price movement.so all price could be recovered soon while it launched.
Well, it could be a trigger or not, but one thing is certain, news like this is a pretty good development for the space. Fundamentally like someone said, news are tending towards the positive direction these days and this is actually some of the things that always end up bringing about some bullish moves in the market.

Hopefully we even get to see this move made by Fidelity to support the ETF decision in the long run but whichever way, for those of us who are here now, we are pretty much on the right track and there is so much happening in the long run in terms of growth and development in this space.
5852  Economy / Speculation / Re: What the price of Bitcoin will be reached in 2019? on: October 13, 2018, 02:08:24 PM
If ETF gets approved price goes above 100K USD, if ETF rejected price 4500/8000, there will be another global crisis larger than 2008, many money from stock market will migrate to crypto reaching trillions of dollars, but for btc reach the moon and beyond we need regulation.
Do not deceive yourself mate, the truth of the matter is that even when ETF gets approved and the market start moving up, it would have moved up even without ETF approval eventually. ETF would just usher in more money into the space and probably we get to see some maturity of the market in the long run, but things do not just happen like that all of a sudden.

What the price of bitcoin would reach by 2019 is something that would remain a mystery but only if we have to be optimistic, there could be chances of seeing it doing pretty well and maybe we would have started seeing some uptrend recovery gradually by then.
5853  Economy / Economics / Re: Today is 10/10/18, the rise of the Phoenix according to The Economist on: October 13, 2018, 12:55:38 PM
Interesting! I didn't knew that there's one that was published earlier than what I know which was around 1998. There's no significant movement if its for the market but only a dip.

These conspiracies are really interesting if its coming into reality.
Yeah, there was which I got to know on this thread some few weeks back anyway. It is just that with the way things are, bitcoin or will I say Satoshi probably beat them to it.

It was just a proposal then anyway, it is not like they really had anything plan and all they were probably busy looking at was to have a centralized country that is just controlled by a single body and I wonder how that would have worked actually, considering that most countries are independent and could make their own decisions as they please. Bitcoin however, is gradually filling up that space anyway, being a decentralized currency.
5854  Economy / Economics / Re: Can be done? on: October 11, 2018, 01:15:28 PM
"Innovator" with no successful startup is just want repreneur in this world. I can have a million ideas and I have actually been a part of two companies that made over 3 million euroes so far yet I do not call myself "innovator". Without a proof of how great you did in the past noone in their right mind would give you the help you are looking for.

You are not a coder, you are not a designer, you do not have the money, you are basically asking others to make your dream come true for free and to make you super rich just because you have come up with an idea. Just the idea will never worth a single damn cent. Either learn to code or find a source of income that will supplement this idea.
5855  Economy / Speculation / Re: How is future looking for Bitcoin in 2019? on: October 10, 2018, 12:43:43 PM
No one can predict what happen in bitcoin in the next year but if we look at this year , we are seeing that this year was a major bear market like it was back in 2015-16. And there is still a chance that we will end this year at low price.  So I am hoping that in 2019 we finally will get to see rise in Bitcoin price.
Yes everyone was waiting for the rise in the prices. The prices fluctuated a lot this year!

I think bitcoin has a bright future because 2018 has sucked so far and I do not think it can go on forever like this. I think the price of 20k is a question mark but if we check historically what happened I have couple of ideas. Either this will go up and stay there for a while like go from 6 to 9 or 10 and stay there for a while and than do these swingy moves there, like go to 8k and 11k constantly and so forth.

Or it will go down even further to 4k or whatever even maybe lower and stay there for a while and go back to 5k-6k range and stay there for a loong time before going back up again. I do not see 20k in the range anytime soon tho.
5856  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: My luck is very bad for crypto trading 😞 on: October 09, 2018, 12:19:21 PM
I think my luck is very bad. I can not earn good profits on cryptocurrency trading any day. An example of this is Doge coin. I invested in Doge coin probably 2 months ago. Which I bought 39 satoshi and bought a total of 126000 doge coins. It was almost 2-3 weeks, I did not check the price. But when I check price on coinmarketcap a few days ago, see Doge coin 100 satoshi cross. After that I was very happy. But when I login into exchange, for selling Doge coin, I was shocked, seeing that my coins were sold in 49 satoshi. I did not remember when I had a sell order. After seeing that I was upset. That was not the first time, before several times, I could not sell many coins at a good price 😞

But finally, an education has realized that if you buy a coin for long or short time, then you should check price minimum one time every day.
Sometimes I experienced the same way as you did. I feel so upset and very frustrated when I already sold it and then the price will go up like that. This was very bad for a trader or holder but then this will be a big lesson for us that we should become more careful next time.
You are not in a bad luck while trading, you are unfortunately in the biggest bear market in the history of bitcoin (well maybe not) and it has taken for over 10 months now closing to 1 year full circle of prices staying low or dropping. Which means there are few people who make money and everyone else loses money in bitcoin. Now if you think it is your fault that you are losing money in trading than I can suggest 3 important things to do.

First of all never trade on a rush, just take your time and decide what to trade carefully, buying and selling on news and things you hear is bad. Second is keep some of your bankroll and invest with some part of it, never go all in. Third and last one is invest in stuff you know deeply, never invest in something you do not know by heart.
5857  Economy / Economics / Re: Will Yale’s Investment in Crypto Lead to More Institutional Investors? on: October 09, 2018, 11:20:00 AM
Will Yale’s Investment in Crypto Lead to More Institutional Investors?

This week, CCN reported that Yale, the prestigious Connecticut-based academic institution, has invested in a $400 million crypto fund operated by veterans in the digital asset and finance space.

Coinbase Inc. co-founder Fred Ehrsam, former Sequoia Capital partner Matt Huang, and billion dollar crypto hedge fund Pantera Capital ex-employee Charles Noyes reportedly launched a new cryptocurrency hedge fund called Paradigm after raising more than $400 million from various investors.

The $30 billion endowment in Yale is led by David Swensen, who invested an undisclosed amount in Paradigm, following the establishment of the institution’s vision to allocate 60 percent of its assets in alternative assets by the end of 2019, like crypto.

Why is Yale’s Move to Crypto Significant?
Yale and Swensen operate one of the largest college endowments in the global market. For three decades, the Yale endowment has outperformed every academic institution within the US, allowing Swensen to beCOME the most-watched and influential figure in the market of institutional investors.

In June, billionaire investor told Erik Schatzker at the Bloomberg Invest Summit in New York that the entrance of a major institutional investor into the crypto market will lead to other major firms accumulating cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin and Ethereum at a large scale.
https://www.ccn.com/will-yales-investment-in-crypto-lead-to-more-institutional-investors/
Yale investing is not a huge news to us at all. Yale is a freaking university after all, we have seen proper financial institutions investing into crypto, we have seen wall street types investing into bitcoin as well.

Hell winklevii twins invested into bitcoin quite early on and they are as uptight as it gets in finance worlds. If you want to get excited about something for the future of institutional investors know that the new gp morgan ceo is a person who is pro-crypto which means they will take a look at the crypto space a lot more and when gp morgan does something all others of financial world will definitely follow.
5858  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Auto Trading Websites on: October 08, 2018, 01:20:35 PM
hey there, i tried to start to invest in bitcoin with normal wallets, to trade by myself if i see the courses move.
sadly you have to pay so much to buy and sell bitcoin, that its not really worth to do it.

i am looking for websites, that are doing auto trades. I've read a lot about them, but every website seems to be scam or not real or you have to invest too much to start.
I dont want to invest a lot if i first want to see if something is trustable.

do you guys know auto trading websites that are secure? do you use something like that too?
I do not trust any website that requires my api and secret as well I do not trust. I have worked with a lot of auto trading bots and never gave any of my info to any of them unless it was to download the bot to my own computer and make it work there.

Not that I do not trust the bot makers because if you are already making ton of money from your customers there is no need to also scam them and make money however if you give your secret to them than it means hackers will want to hack into that website and try to either get your money out and if your api is not "withdraw open" which usually is than they will pump a coin with all of your coins and get out with profits.
5859  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Give your opinion about the current market and future on: October 08, 2018, 11:52:06 AM
The market today is quite stable and Bitcoin closed above the $6,550 zone and rebounded to $6,630. And Ripple has taken over Ethereum on three occassions in 2018, these means ripple have a chance to grow more because of current events happened. I think need to buy some coin like Ripple, Bitcoin and Ethereum.

Ripple is based on speculation not on adoption and use. Do you know any cases of merchants accepting it? Have you ever bought something with ripple or paid someone?
Ripple attracts people because they like pump and dump schemes just like they like HYIPS and ponzis.

Current market is in the early stage of recovery. We're going to go up in the next 6 months.
I think right now the market seems like its slow and not doing anything but in reality market is just watching and waiting for a news. If there is a great news that comes the bull run with it. If we can hear something like "china now allows crypto and regulates it" or something than the price will increase insanely.

Asia is a big market and we need asia to get up and running, so far it has been banned and holding back. So the future is great looking to me because I am just waiting for a good news, with one great news the price will be going up really high, I am optimistic like that about crypto in general not just bitcoin.
5860  Economy / Economics / Re: China moves further towards cashless society on: October 06, 2018, 11:35:05 AM
So China will abandon all the people who don't have wechat or don't know how to pay through cashless format? I don't think this is appropriate manner they need to provide all the available payment method and leve it to the people to use what they want, imposing some system by arrogant commands will leads to lot of problems and hate against that system.
Grin China has just been doing freaky things over the years and I am not surprised that something like this would be coming up. There is just this thing about them and using force to want to do everything, well, I understand that is something that is applicable to their system of governance over the years anyway. It is really not appropriate to start putting things by all means on every individual.

What happened to choice? What happened to freedom of will? Honestly, it is just appalling and I wonder how the citizens really cope in this region, would have moved out long ago for greener pastures where I would not have to live the day thinking of the government coming up with some silly policies that will affect a lot as it segregates some set of people.
