5861  Economy / Services / Re: Up to 0.035 BTC weekly for YOUR SIGNATURE *New rules on: April 26, 2016, 04:58:36 AM

Well as best as I can determine I'm still down 25 posts....I seem to have got 6 posts back when I re-did the signature (with the same legendary above signature I had before)

so whats up ..are those posts lost? (kinda annoyed) Sad

Also this thread will NOT allow me to quote is that intentional?  Also any new posts here are not showing up on my new post watchlist.

Someone told me if a thread is moved this happens often...was the thread moved at one time?

anyway it seems to be counting posts now...but I'm (as far as I can determine) exactly 25 posts down yet....so anyway

others?

will also pm this to the OP.

5862  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Litecoin is officially dead on: April 25, 2016, 07:17:18 AM

hardly encouraging....been that way for a month....hope it comes back...started a thread with a poll

Take the poll see if you think it is gonna come back up or not. (hope so) Smiley

5863  Economy / Services / Re: Up to 0.035 BTC weekly for YOUR SIGNATURE *New rules on: April 25, 2016, 05:42:48 AM
Changed the sig from the LAST message above mine saying to do so. Big whoop. NOT like you announced a signature change till after we lost our posts

(I'm currently down 32 posts completely from this fiasco)

So now I show still 0 posts (big whoop) but my signature says it is now ok)

What is the plan to get some of our posts back? Or are you just gonna go with you did not change signature (in which we were given no prior notice)

By the way I'm using Firefox. I changed my signature to the one you recommend and it comes up the same as always below. I did re-sign on. But does not

look like the previous poster. Again it does say that my signature is now OK but still at 0.

This thread will NOT let me quote. Says what I'm trying to quote is not viewable by me and or deleted....this is for any msg in this thread.

AND this thread when I do a post does NOT show up as me posting anything on it in MY posted messages area. All other messages show up on my posts but this one.

When a new message to this thread does show up ..I am not informed of new messages on this thread

I also un-watched and re-watched this thread with the same result.

This seems a lot of issues on this thread.

Inform us wth is going on please OP. also pm'd this

5864  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: LISK price speculation on: April 25, 2016, 05:32:15 AM
A fully functional LISK with delayed launch is better than an imminent launch of a faulty LISK.

Yeah if they have further problems and have to postpone say for another month after that thou...would be 'catastrophic' imho Sad

I have 1 btc in this so...hardly a big deal but perception that you can't even nail down a date and may 24th would be almost 2 months late

from original timeline.....well to say that would suck and muck up their 'successful lisk' plans out of the dock would be an understatement Sad

They had better nail it down tight and it works on that date or folk will pass this project by....as 'amateur hour' ) and a big 'ho hum' if when they ever did launch....

This has always been a concern that they could not get a decent enough team in place fast enough for the project..this would just 'fan the flames' that this

was true (even if it was not that again imho would be the 'perception')

5865  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: April 25, 2016, 05:19:14 AM

I understood that the lawyer want another payment from all participants in the case lol Cheesy. This is expensive as shit!!

So glad I didn't get involved in this nonsense.

was that in the previous posted link...or somewhere else...if not the one above re-post or point it out please

I can't believe the class action lawyers are asking for MORE money

if so not looking good...with the 1500 each put down for the law firm to take this case against knc (think it was 1500 bucks)

AND if you LOSE you pay KNC's legal fees and any judgements against the class action folk losing.

how a Swedish Class Action works ......kinda sucks....also if you lose..knc's law firm likely is not cheap

the class action folk could be out as much as 6k MORE with fees etc and a judgement against them.....and you are so screwed....

hell it could be more....you had to sign something I was told to that effect..thus 1.5k fees plus say another 1.5k fees not refundable

you figure 3k for knc min for law firm (likely more) and that is frigging 6k right there ..hell it could go higher if you lost and that is

again from what I remember PER TITAN OR NEPTUNE ...sheesh

but again looks like IF the law firm of the class action is asking for more $$$ to continue....they are covering their ass as those $$$ are non-refundable

and hell if it is that bad will probably settle with knc and just walk away with the fees.....gathered in both instances just take the fees and  with maybe a puny $$ amount

from knc to .....drop the case...or knc would pursue a 'settlement' of more $$$ on top of $$$ to law firm if they class action tanks...it would be puny like most

class action settlements..by the time the lawyers were paid you'd be lucky to break even on fees already spent...win/win for law firms....you'd be like why did i bother Sad

what the hell ..the law firm has (100 in the class action i think they had) 150,000 if they get more to say 200k to walk/settle/split fees and a big screw you

The other reason I never got into this class action is the point KNC always made ...if we by buying any KNC  miners you are a BUSINESS

under Swedish law...business transactions under EU consumer protection are NOT protected in any way....a big frigging black hole loophole imho.

Thus there is a REASON Swedish law allows this loophole..to get around EU consumer protection rules.

....thus I had a hard time believing the Swedish Legal System would over throw this business loophole and precedent and rule

against KNC......just saying KNC always acted like their ass was covered in this (Hope I'm wrong)...always said they would never have to pay on anything like this because of such.

But we may witness yet ANOTHER instance where knc screws over a bunch of folk in one last FU moment.....

again hope I'm wrong....but where my mind tends to tread hearing that the law firms are asking for more $$$$ (if true) on top of $$$ already ....

that would NOT inspire me with a lot of frigging confidence....if I was part of the class action...I'd be freaking out Sad

still hope those guys win....

5866  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: RIP Litecoin on: April 25, 2016, 04:56:42 AM
That's funny....RIP LTC

While LTC is getting a boner.  Cheesy

Exactly, +8% in 24 hours?
This happened last week as well. Good signs?

Just going to get better with up coming news losh11....I'm glad you're in litecoins corner

well mining ltc at my end at 730mh titans...is every 50c rise in LTC price is 110 bucks a month profit after electric

go baby go

(still wondering when/if to move some to btc)

but hey its a parade (jumps on float and hope it is going down a highway not a dead end street)

5867  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: April 24, 2016, 05:55:42 AM
Ok....you get a very small train....you wait for it to grow up......slow and steady 1% a week (lol) Smiley

(don't be tempted by the dark forces of sideways BTC resist!)

5868  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Litecointalk.org Is STILL Down. Is it coming back or gone for good? (poll) on: April 24, 2016, 04:58:43 AM
Does it even matter whether it is coming back or gone for good? Doesn't really seem to make much of a difference.

Well I WAS with my somewhat 'dubious' status on the litecointalk site ABLE to find scypt equipment. Can't find sh*t on bitcointalk.

So it was a more specific type and smaller community to LTC thus able to get more info on tech stuff and sales etc. From people I at least had interacted with outside of sales of stuff.

Then again the admin account (the top account you can have on the site) one of 4 of such ..Carnth was hacked and I was duped by such

(hey I mean really the #2 guy's account is hacked on litecointalk....wtf....sheesh..I can't even beat myself up on the 110 ltc loss..its like the asic gods conspired to screw me!)

So hell ..litecointalk was run by LTC/BTC whales maybe it is just not worth the effort to revive it anymore. They never seemed to be on for months at a time anyway.

so anyway ...probably not worth the time for the original folk (now that are ltc and btc whales) to bother is my guess

that and the fact imho the hacker ..having god powers over EVERYTHING when found out ..probably flushed the site ....

thus what to bring back up...with such security issues...what to use for forum software etc ...a big pain in the ass...

so anyway my bet is its likely down for good at this point in time....simply because we hear nothing from anyone that it IS being worked on...thus imho they don't care

enough to post problems with the 'revival' there is probably not gonna be one Sad

5869  Economy / Services / Re: Up to 0.035 BTC weekly for YOUR SIGNATURE *New rules on: April 24, 2016, 04:47:36 AM
Yep same for me had 25 posts for sure probably a few more. Looked yesterday and they were there and signature was OK. Looked today after my ONE post (which does show up)
but my 25+ posts are GONE and my signature is NOT FOUND ...same as last week.

So maybe here on bitcointalk the MODS are messing with this stuff making the bot notable to do this anymore. IE you need a human it seems.

Curious if any other signature campaigns use such bots and if they are also having problems on bitcointalk due to whatever mods are trying to limit on bot use.

Anyway IF this gets resolved....thanks ...if not ....well hell dump the bot and do it by hand....can't be that hard to find someone to do so on here as an OP for such.

With your BOT in rebellion......not looking good. (SKYNET ACK!)

edit

so looked again and now the bitmixer.io bot has dumped me back to 0 again with the no signature found yet message...so going back I'm down about

28 posts probably more ...but 28 for sure....anyway ...it is still 'reseting' itself.....in that it showed 1 for a bit then dumped back to 0 ...so whatever is

causing this is still happening...so folk probably need to keep track of their post counts tlll they resolve this in the future ...assuming they are gonna make good on such

5870  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: RIP Litecoin on: April 24, 2016, 04:33:50 AM
Patience will get rewarded. Quote me later.

Well I'm sitting on 900 LTC from mining. No Clue. My previous mining has been moved to BTC.
STILL pumping out 225 LTC a month (not taking out electric) ....so still filling the 'tub' so to speak... At around 1000 LTC I usually move to BTC if the ratio is right.

(The ratio imho sucks 0.00740 ltc to btc)

So ..sitting on hands ..hoping BTC will pump and like Yoshi to Mario...LTC will tag along at a better ratio then above and I will likely move/some to BTC MAYBE.

So I'm a fence sitting here on wtf may happen with BTC and LTC due to the halving...so LTC put some moves on me or I'm gonna drop you as my 'mistress' to BTC Smiley

Whatever....posting this on here ...so people can call me CHAMP or CHUMP after halving on this.

One or the other ..I see no in between.

5871  Economy / Speculation / Re: Do you think bitcoin will reach it's $1000 mark again? on: April 23, 2016, 04:52:28 AM

All market prices eventually reach their all time high again. The catch is if they survive and you wait long enough. IF BTC survives (like say FORD stock in 1929 crash)

it will 'eventually' hit 1000 usd....this includes regular inflation and other factors.

that's the catch......will BTC survive and long enough to get to that 1000 buck mark without it being like 2035 or some such

all depends on 'faith' and 'holding' and 'adoption' imho

again there's the rub Smiley

5872  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: RIP Litecoin on: April 22, 2016, 02:20:25 PM
https://twitter.com/cryptodemedici/status/723274322324893696

totally dead. yeah. just look at that pathetic volume.

well perhaps we should change the argument....if LTC has this NICHE with BTC to LTC ratio and its use as such and hell it is kinda sorta working say and stable....

Is this enough to survive long term? What could be added/done to improve LTC while keeping this connection with btc and ltc volume intact and stability?

anyway again clueless ...so not a slam...just asking Smiley
5873  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Innosilicon's A4 Dominator, 1.2W/Mhs 14nm ASIC and miner, open for Partners on: April 22, 2016, 02:15:37 PM

Likely imho they will just be a 'token' amount of these A4 miners (like sfards did) just to show the flag on a unit or two. The main push will be their own data center (did you see that i said data center not data hall) and the uphill fight of selling bulk chips would be their next hurtle.

Last time I checked Innosilicon doesn't HAVE a "data center" or "data hall" or any significant mining operation at all.

They seem to be the only Cryptocoin Mining Chip/Miner manufacturer that doesn't do a lot of mining themselves - probably because they were a well-established Chip manufacturer before they got into Cryptocoin chip making (and still ARE a manufacturer of lots of other chips).

Unlike every other manufacturer AFAIK making cryptocoin chips, Innosilicon doesn't rely on cryptocoin for most to all of their income, much less most to all of their profit.

I won't talk about some of their DEALERS (and likely partners) that DO in fact mine *cough Zoomhash cough*....

OK I'm confused....what was the IPO money for then? I thought they had the mask etc ready to go and needed IPO $$$

I find it hard to believe that they are betting all on others using bulk chips sales at $3.20 per LTC say or the price of scrypt to carry the load

you could be right ..but spondoolies WAS not as big into data centers but they are now ...;perhaps innsilicon has also gone the way of knc etc in the old 'me first' camp

but I don't know.....you could be correct ..but now I'm really confused .thought I had a handle on why at these low prices they were 'pushing scrypt chips'

perhaps they are into this as the 'equiv' of home mining ...just for the frack of saying they can make a 14mm asic scrypt chip (not sure why thou)

5874  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: {BFL} Here's a LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOK at your Monarch! on: April 22, 2016, 02:08:18 PM

BFL website looks to be gone now.....error 404 LMAO!!!!!!!!!!  Cheesy

I swear if I am ever in the area of the BFL former corp I'm gonna piss in their parking lot and post a pic here Smiley

I'm still pissed and I got a refund. (Then again had victim guilt and felt like an idiot for 1 year and 20 days and got lucky and was refunded because FTC was a coming)

Perhaps it is Surviver's Guilt because I got DAMN LUCKY Sad

More likely (if anyone wants to look) it was Josh Z. in BFL chat FLAT OUT lying when the court documents showed at the same time he knew they would be months late

after August of 2013.

Where is the guy on here that kept saying if he ever saw him, he'd punch him in the dick and post a picture (man I miss you or I should say I want such a pic yet)

anyway just got to let this go I guess, but man what a bunch of pricks

5875  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: April 22, 2016, 02:01:31 PM
One more time ladies,

The controller hardware is the same for everything.
Some controller boards do not have 6 ribbon cable connectors installed though.

For early Oct merc, sat, jup you had to have October firmware loaded.

When November was first launched you needed November specific firmware and it was not backwards compatible.

Eventually they released firmware that worked with both OCT _OR_ Nov (not both on the same controller)

The nepturd firmware can run OCT28nm, Nov28nm, _OR_ nepturd20nm.
You could plug in Nov28nm _AND_ nepturd20nm at the same time but it will run the nepturds slow.
In other words don't ever mix GE and Ericsson DC/DC converters on a single BTC controller.

Same controller hardware for scrypt but different firmware.
I don't think the tit firmware works with any of the BTC ASICs.

YMMV
Smiley

yep. My Titan clone bridge on a Netune board with the replacement raspberry pi B+ 512mb works like a champ. Any BBB controller (pre-titan) works dandy on Neptune's as well I've been told from others also.

as to my Titan work around for the bridge....well again asking for input Sad

Again can ANYONE tell me an equivalent chip for the tiny chip in the titan bridge board. I ASSUME it is a clock chip. IF that could be found out a guy could

just use a protoboard for the pi and some leads and spaghetti solution to all this ...but need the proper LARGER clock chip (if that is what it is) to pull this off that would work

would look ugly as hell but likely would cost all parts including SD card for this Titan hack LESS THAN 50 bucks.

Just would find it immensely satisfying to run a Titan cube on ANY FRIGGING KNC CONTROLLER ever made using the above hack (again knc techs had told me it
could not be done .back in the day on knc forums.ie lies) this with the gen tarkin software (which knc techs also told me most of the stuff it does could not be done) would be a hoot.

but that's about it ...trace the leads on the titan bridge board....find out an equiv large enough to use clock chip that would work in this.....get some spaghetti pi
protoboard leads (10 bucks for 20 ebay last I looked) and a pi B+ equiv protoboard that uses such leads (say 20 bucks with shipping last I looked) and an SD card and ASSUMING
most of you geeks could front the cost for a raspberry pi B+ 512mb on top of this (hey its a toy if it don't work) Smiley and viola a done deal.

It is the frigging (again I assume clock chip) very small chip in the traces of such on the tian bridge that I find as my roadblock to trying this on a Jupiter board.

A beagle bone black firmware solution would be more 'elegant' but that seems a dead project now from what I can tell. Unless someone can make bridges for a lot less then 1/2 a btc
kinda stuck.

anyway my 2 satoshi's worth

5876  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Innosilicon's A4 Dominator, 1.2W/Mhs 14nm ASIC and miner, open for Partners on: April 22, 2016, 05:20:43 AM
My guess is that the A4 units will come out at around $2500, though I'd actually prefer you to be right and they show up closer to $4000 (fewer sold = less hashrate increase for a while = my A2s pay off more before they hit unprofitable).

I do love how I can just ignore my A2s for literally months at a time (I've got one that's been up for 4 MONTHS right now no issues - reconfigured my home to "summer mode" this week, and moved the other A2 units, so they've "only" been up for a few days as of right now - they HAD been up for the same 4ish months prior to my moving them) and they just keep hashing.....

They won't sit on a shelf if they aren't selling, inventory will be mining or they'll drop the price they won't just let them collect dust.

Likely imho they will just be a 'token' amount of these A4 miners (like sfards did) just to show the flag on a unit or two. The main push will be their own data center (did you see that i said data center not data hall) and the uphill fight of selling bulk chips would be their next hurtle.

Anyway it seems that is what asic equip makers of scrypt and/or sha-256 do now. Much more profitable to chase NEWBIE IPO big $$$ money that wants to flow into crypto then those NEWBIE HOME miners with less $$$ as was done in the past.

Same angle but bigger pockets the big money newbie IPO folk have. (again imho)  (My thoughts of this is that they DID at 3.20 LTC or so scrypt prices manage to get enough IPO $$$ to build the chips in the first place..which from my view was quite a feat)

Anyway my 'guess' on how it will play out. Overpriced. Limited amount of units and maybe even like sfards did only available in bulk purchasing of 100 plus.

We will see I guess.( Assuming it is NOT vaporware. Always a consideration)

5877  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: RIP Litecoin on: April 22, 2016, 04:58:59 AM
Kinda related to this thread or perhaps a sign that if Litecoin is NOT dead, it perhaps IS on life support.

the thread below is asking if  the litecointalk forum is down for good or not....(also has poll on such)

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1446271.0

for those unfamiliar was an equivalent forum like bitcoin talk for litecoin talk. It got hacked is now gone but no real new info on any progress to revive it.

www.litecointalk.org (still down as we speak)

The poll is on if it is down for good or not in the above link.

It is NOT a good sign that we have NOT heard any real news on any effort/progress/etc beyond the initial announcement that the admins over there were gonna rebuild the site.

Hopefully some admin over there on the rebuild (knock wood) will reply on this or the above thread.

Anyway if the OP is correct on this thread could be another sign of his viewpoint that LTC is dead/dying.

(myself I'm a fence sitter no idea)

5878  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Litecointalk.org Is STILL Down. Is it coming back or gone for good? (poll) on: April 22, 2016, 04:51:04 AM

Well as the guy who got scammed 110 LTC from Carnth whose account was hacked. (one of the 4 top administrator accounts on litecointalk.org) for a Titan cube that was vaporware. Well when that came to light, they obviously had to pull th site in that account has GOD powers plus.

So it has been like 2 months almost I think or more since the account was hacked, a bit less since the site was taken down.

So is it coming back up or not? (See poll)

I don't mind the fact I lost 110 LTC I mean really.....if you can't trust the top most account on litecointalk one of 4 only  admin accounts well it is the frigging 'apocalypse' on the site in question. Live an learn I guess..but I mean really....sheesh....so I just put it down to 'fluke' bad luck and moving on.

But I'm kinda beginning to wonder IF it will come back up. Most of the top 4 admins are were not very active before the crash (thus my problem with Carnth's account ....he'd been a 'no show' for quite a while I found out after the fact) They seem to be all LTC and BTC whales of some note. So I kinda just wonder if they just said 'screw it' and walked away from the hassle of the re-build.

Anyway anyone with more current info the a month ago or a link on this revival being discussed and I just missed it ....post here.

Perhaps some administrator on the site will step forward and keep us in the loop. (or not) Sad

below is the current link still down

www.litecointalk.org

Be sure to take the poll on what you give for odds it is coming back up or not.

and of course post any current info you may have on this thread as well

Damn. Would hate to not have the site back I used it quite a bit.
5879  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Innosilicon's A4 Dominator, 1.2W/Mhs 14nm ASIC and miner, open for Partners on: April 21, 2016, 11:23:35 PM
What is a "data hall"? Have seen that posted on btctalk a lot. Don't you all mean "data center"?!

Google search did not come up with much..first result to "what is a data hall" comes back with this link: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Data_center

....so why do some of you say "data hall" when it appears it is really "data center"?

Sorry to hijack this thread but it has been buggin me for a while.

Well this explanation below (quoted from an above post on this thread) is as good an explantion of any I guess.

Just common in Minnesota (a predominately SWEDISH settled state in USA back in the day). So it all seems to fit.

But this is where I picked it up as an equivalent to data center I'm farily sure. So the below explanation is as good as any I think

ie probably more proper data center term..ie versus the off the cuff data hall....which again around here is used interchangeably.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1251930.msg14623426#msg14623426

So anyway imho that pretty much nailed it. Minnesota predominantly settled by Swedes........again my assumption a slang Midwest USA term

for the same.

5880  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Innosilicon's A4 Dominator, 1.2W/Mhs 14nm ASIC and miner, open for Partners on: April 21, 2016, 06:10:27 AM

they did reply asked me how many I'd like.....I said TWO (minnow that I am) ...likely this will be the last email I shall get Sad

But did ask them price as well...we will see...

If they contact me they will do so because they want a few of us 'asic cheerleaders' on here to pass the word on their product.

IF not..then they are just moving stuff ..kinda/sorta to 'show the flag the equip exists' for their data hall IPO

I'm guessing my emails are ...as we speak ..clanking around their 'spam bucket' after my big TWO units reply Sad
