5881  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Old good airdrops on: October 15, 2019, 09:33:44 PM
Why are still people dreaming of 2017, wake up guys, as much as we wanted to see airdrops that could give up huge profits like 2017, I'm sorry but those days are over now. We are still in the bearish trend so obviously those projects don't have the necessary funds to give huge amount of money for airdrops alone. Besides, those airdrops today requires you to deposit some sort of money for gas, LOL, sounds very scammy to me. So let's move on, airdrops are no longer profitable this year and I don't know if we're going to see another good rewards in the future as far as airdrops is concern.
5882  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Guides for trading how to check if your token not performing well on: October 15, 2019, 09:07:58 PM
I usually just use coinmarketcap to look at the trend for BTC and Maybe ETH in the [past few hours or days. The top gainers and losers are not so accurate sometimes. You could find there shitcoins with low trading volume just making up to the list of top gainers yet in actual sense there is some wash trading in the back scene just to create the hype for the token or coin.

True, I quickly glance on those biggest gainers/losers and then say to myself, just another pump-and-dump scheme going on that coins, LOL, the next day you will see some magic numbers +100% gains then the next next - 70% losses. Although I would agree that I ride some waves early in 2018 on one gain and gain a lot of profits in like 3 days, sold off everything and didn't bother to look at what happen to that coins. If you know how to ride with them, then do it, but you have to quit when you reach your goal, because you don't want to be trap.

Yeah, if we will just pretty much do regular back-ups and then not clicking on suspicious links, there could be less victims here.

@coolcoinz - that so called porn malware or whatever they call it contains a secret crypto mining injection to any hardware that it can inject.

5884  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: globalbitcoins.eu - new P2P trading platform on: October 14, 2019, 11:57:21 PM
Just a suggestion, if you want to get a wider audience and get exposure, I would suggest you open a thread in this board, Services. You can create a ANN (Announcement) thread there and it could be used as a single point of contact if members here have questions on your new trading platform. Best of luck!!.
5885  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: October 14, 2019, 11:31:45 PM
Match on-going, Medvedev taking the first set 6-4, it wasn't a breeze though as Zverev was able to hold the score 4-4 until Medvedev took the last 2 points of the first set.
Daniil Medvedev played an incredible match, i missed the initial set and thought about wagging a bet on him considering his form this year and i first noticed him when he made a big mess when i waged a bet against him this year where he defeated Andy Murray, Milos Raonic and Wilfried Tsonga and had a really tough match against Rafael Nadal where Daniil Medvedev challenged him till the end. Congrats to the new champion.

As I have said in my many posts here, Medvedev, amongst the top breed of young players of today, has the chance to really break into the top 3. He is really on a Final streak, his last 6:

Events:                    Results:

Washington, D.C.    L to Kyrgios
Montreal                 L to Nadal
Cincinnati               W against Goffin
US Open                 L to Nadal
St. Petersburg         W against Coric
Shanghai                W against Zverev

He just need to break and win a Grand Slam next year to cement himself. I thought that there will be a 3rd set, but eventually won in Zverev 6-4, 6-1 in just over 70 minutes.

That was a dominating performance by Medvedev and now he will move even closer to Federer for that number 3 ranking which will be a huge achievement if he is able to overtake Federer. I agree he now needs to win a Grand Slam to really show that he has taken that next step to becoming a great player like the big three.

True, just by looking at his last 6 Finals appearance, it's not a easy feat to accomplished, just imagine if he won the US Open against Nadal this year. That's why next year will be a big test for him and the rest of the young and upcoming players to really put pressures on the old guards here. And if he wins one Grand Slam next year then there's no doubt that he is the on the rise and give the big 3 time to contemplate.

@TravelMug - True, women's side is very unpredictable, no single name pops up in the last 3-4 years. Lots of name in the horizon so let's see how it pans out if Gauff has what it takes to be on top.
5886  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Over 2000 Projects Reviewed – 640 have not published a single Code in 2019 on: October 13, 2019, 11:22:03 PM
Lack of funds is actually a problem (Funds mismanagement is the root) . Not all those ICOs peaking in 2017 exit-scammed. Most just didn't manage their funds right. They got caught up in the whole ico-frenzy and used up funds raised to the extent that there's no money to psy the actual platform developers (I'm an aspiring developer so I know this and if developers aren't paid, they leave) and then everything falls apart. This is a major reason why most startups failed - Crypto funded (ICO) or traditional businesses/startups.

True, and before they know it, funds are dwindling that's why are early as May 2018 there are reports that projects themselves has to dump their ETH in order for the project to survived. And this is one of the reasons why ETH suddenly went on a downward spiral. I guess, no one really anticipated the long bearish trend. But we can't blame them, there was no ICO prior and most of them born during the last bullish run so no one really knows how to react or at least long at the long term.

And I think IEO startups are beginning to follow same part and It's not helping because there are legit/serious projects that can bring new stuffs to the table but no way to raise funds as the ico bubble has bursted and IEO trend seems to be coming to an end.

It's going to be cyclical I guess, if those IEO projects are not careful with their funds then they will suffer the same fate as their predecessors.
5887  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Piper Wallet v2 and possible remake of v1 on: October 13, 2019, 10:47:06 PM
Hey Dave, for the record though, it has been discussed here,

[ANN] Piper - A hardware-based paper wallet printer and so much more

Piper: The Raspberry Pi Paper Wallet Printer is now taking orders!

What do you think about Piper Wallet?

Piper Paper Wallet - Why are there no replies???

But if you are going to read most of the replies, almost everyone find it pretty expensive. Anyways, good luck with your experiment, if that's what you're trying to accomplished here.  Grin
5888  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Sugarexchange.io will ever come? on: October 13, 2019, 10:24:37 PM
Again, good to check the legitimacy on CMC or at least the price movement,

I don't see any anything here, it's just like the rest of the altcoin market, down by 90%

Sugar Exchange Statistics:

Sugar Exchange Price    $0.001801 USD
Sugar Exchange ROI    -98.01%
Market Rank    #1523
Market Cap    $81,115 USD
24 Hour Volume    $12 USD
All Time High    $1.37 USD  (Jan 08, 2018)
All Time Low    $0.000160 USD (Jul 25, 2019)

Just look at the volumes in the last 24 hour, so I don't know if they can deliver their promises of an exchange in the future. There are also lots of projects before talking about rolling out a live exchange but we all got is numerous delays and empty and false promises. So its up to you guys to decide here.
5889  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: VinDAX is number 1 exchange on coinmarketcap on: October 13, 2019, 09:56:32 PM
LOL, what happened though, today it was ranked 22? A few days ago it was the top exchange? It only proves that this is just a shitty exchange and just faking it's volume to look like that it was a look liquidity.

And just to be fair, those exchanges on top is as just shitty as VinDAX so I wouldn't trust them as well. Take for example on the list, BW 79.00%, I mean is that even real?  Grin
5890  Economy / Economics / Re: COMMODITY MANIPULATION: DEMAND/SUPPLY on: October 13, 2019, 09:31:30 PM

My question is this: what if we just crash the prices by increasing production, and ensuring other manufacturing sectors are running to balance human needs in the world?  Although this is different from currency.

I think you contradict yourself here, how can you balance human needs when you wanted to crash the price for example, crude oil? Economics of a nation doesn't work that way, that's why we can't just put people in the office who don't understand the real score behind, and if a certain nation has officials who don't have the knowledge, then it will spell doom just like what you mentioned, Nigeria. It is still based on supply and demand, if you have a abundant of crude oil and you put in at a exorbitant price, no one will even buy it and countries are going to look for other options that is cheap and has reliable supply. IMHO.
5891  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The launch of BitOffer's options will be one step ahead of Bakkt on: October 13, 2019, 09:05:35 PM
Yes, this is simply a Binary Options and sort of a gambling per se. And this cant even be compared to Bakkt future offerings though so I think the title of this thread is a bit misleading or OP doesn't understand what Binary Options is. And I doubt that it can have a significant effect as Bakkt is, although we haven't seen such impact in the price as of yet. And this Binary Options has been in the market for many years now and I think that BitOffer is kinda late in this game.

5893  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Pacquiao Vs Mayweather 2 on: October 13, 2019, 11:04:02 AM
Is Floyd running out of money now so he changed his mind already and just decided to fight Manny again? Anyways, this is a interesting turn of events, we all have been waiting for this after many years and hope that this time, Floyd is going to give us boxing fans the fight that we all have been wanting to see, a rematch so let's see if this is true or not.

LOL.. Floyd running out of money? He has earned more than $1 billion till now. Not even legends such as Mike Tyson and Evander Holyfield have earned anywhere near that amount. And perhaps that is also one of the reasons why he is very reluctant to commit to new fights. Dana White wanted a rematch between Floyd Mayweather and Conor McGregor, and Floyd was very cold to that idea. And this is despite the fact that this fight would have earned him somewhere in excess of $200 million.

True, I doubt that Mayweather is out of cash, he is one of the three sports personalities who have earn $1 billion, the other two are Tiger Woods and Michael Jordan if I'm not mistaken. Maybe he realised that there's no point of accepting exhibitions in Japan because that's not what fans wanted him to do. If he wanted more money, he can simply fight either Conor or Manny that's is. But the real money fight for him is obviously Manny Pacquiao.

If you are not a programmer that can tweak any template either free or premium and you don't have the capital to pay well for a veteran programmer, it is better to stay away from it. The security aspect is very essential, even the almighty binance was hacked and you are going o be dealing with people's data and money. You need to do a well-structured finding including the legal framework within your domain.
Yeah. That's a good point, all the free templates out there are likely ridden with bugs and backdoors and if you don't have anyone that's competent with code there's just going to be no point for you to run a casino - once any hacker sees your project, it'll just get hacked.

You can try raise money through friends and family and actually fund a good developer to work for you. Or get lucky and find someone willing to do it for equity.

Or he can make a bank loan, I think that will be a good start and if that doesn't work then go to your friends and families instead of looking for investors. Yes there could be angel investors out there but it will be very difficult because of the current (worsening) conditions of the market. I doubt that he can find partners or programmers who's willing to work for equity as these guys usually do one job and then go on the next.

He is now leading the second set 3-0 and I do think that Medvedev will take home the trophy here. He is playing superb tennis here so goodluck to those who got him in this Finals.
5896  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Libra partner drop out on: October 12, 2019, 07:12:23 PM
They already hire some lobbyist if I'm not mistaken, so it's a go by all means. Although companies dropping out of their support will have a negative effect on Libra, but I don't see Facebook will just stop their whole idea. They themselves have invested so much money, and I'm sure they just gonna say f**k off to those companies, LOL. There might be some companies in the back ground just waiting to grab the opportunity for all we know.

Obviously, one that easily pops out is Malta. And then the Tiger of Baltics.

Tax Treatment of Cryptocurrencies in Slovenia

Together with Estonia, Lithuania, and Finland, Slovenia is one of the countries-to-be in Europe for businesses dealing with cryptocurrencies. The Slovenian government aims to represent the country as a leading EU member state in the field of blockchain technology. This is done by maintaining publicity about the potential of the technology, encouraging entrepreneurship and investment in the field, and applying a preferential tax regime to cryptocurrency transactions.

https://www.nomoretax.eu/crypto-taxation-slovenia/

How about Singapore?

Quote
The Inland Revenue Authority of Singapore, the country’s taxation agency, has recently issued an e-Tax guide on “Digital Payment Tokens” on the 5th of July 2019 that is a proposal to bring an end to the ‘double taxation’ of transactions paid for by cryptocurrencies, from the beginning of next year.

http://disruptionbanking.com/singapore-to-end-taxation-on-crypto-transactions/

So as far as creating a crypto lending company, I think its doable specially if you're going to put it up on some crypto friendly nations above. Good luck.
5898  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoins accumulated by institutional investors on: October 12, 2019, 06:12:00 PM
I believed that institutional investors have been accumulating BTC for a long time, even pre 2016 and evidently in 2017 wherein we reached our peaked that December. Obviously, when you hold so much Bitcoin you have to split it in several wallets for security purposes. In a event of a breach or hack only one wallet would be affected. I guess it's a norm for huge bag holders around, or even average joes do that practice as well so there's no secret in there and could be considered as best practice in crypto community.
5899  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Making a bitcoin cassino on: October 12, 2019, 05:46:59 PM
Are there any normal bitcoin templates out there? I already have hosting and domain from previous thing. It seeems so damn easy and I feel like most of the time your losing anyway.

If someone could help point me in the right direction that works I will send them a gift, seriously!!!

Of course, there's a lot of templates out there, but the thing is you really don't know if there's some backdoor on the code specially if you are a non technical guy. That's why it is really not advisable to used free templates out there as it might give you a big head ache in the end. There could be some that offer licenses, If I'm not mistaken, to be able to used their build in apps and then you will just have to customized it. It's not that easy as you pointed out, there are things that you really need to take care of specially in the back end.
5900  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Private sale in China on: October 12, 2019, 05:04:10 PM
Chinese crypto market is clearly different and unique in its nature similar to the uniqueness of almost everything in China.
A few weeks ago I was on a China tour visiting numerous VCs to initiate the funding process of my crypto project.
I realized that the investors, regardless of their shapes and sizes, are mainly interested in one thing; The token performance. The idea and technology behind the project comes in second place - or maybe later.
However, I came back with huge learnings. As a tech guy I focused primarily on the technology. But obviously community build up and PR are key factors.
If the public are keen to buy your token your project is a success. Long term is not an option.

Very interesting experience you learn from your China tour and I guess that reflect the current state of crypto market today. Regardless of the fundamentals behind the project, people are just looking to make money out of it, whether it has real life usage or not. And that's why there are a lot of tokens that offers nothing in crypto space but you will be surprised that investors are putting money on them, or simply put runs a pump and dump scheme.

How has the market and investor apetite changed in the past few months in the USA?

Are there still angel investors in the crypto space?

Not sure though about the US but I will speculate that they have the same mindset as well (I might be wrong though.) I do believed that there are still investors here but it's hard to find them because of the current market situations.
