5921  Economy / Economics / Re: Can cryptos destroy the invasive marketing? on: January 31, 2018, 01:51:34 PM
I love marketing campaigns. However, in order to do this, it is necessary to undergo training and learning. Most people are ignoring this step and working massively. This can be annoying to the people around them and making them not like it. Therefore, it is necessary to filter and set reasonable standards for everyone to do the job well

Do you really think that you need to undergo training just to avoid spamming around? Do you need to study how not to send adds to people that don´t want them nor need them?
5922  Other / Meta / Re: Merit broke my life on: January 31, 2018, 11:01:22 AM
Hello everyone!

When only merit entered on the forum, I started testing - I sent various amounts to different people (I tested the functionality). The next day, c ;Domrade actmyname lowered me to the trust with the words:
"Gave max merit to a post that clearly did not deserve it.
Likely alt. ".
I maintain my account from 2015 persistently. My account is my work and life. I wrote actmyname, but he ignores me.
Can tell me how to proceed? Yes, I am guilty, but not so much :-(
I sended PM theymos too, but he is silent too.  Embarrassed
why this attitude towards people has become on the forum?

You gave 50 to a single post that didn't deserve more than 1.. what did you expect to happen?

Yes and no. I would definitely not give 50 to a single post unless Satoshi himself was giving me the keys for the forgotten accounts of the early Bitcoin (and I guess not even then, as merit cannot be sold).

But the fact is that the merit is highly subjective and there is no specific rule on how much to merit a post.

For me, it would be:

  • No merit to "promo posts", off-topic or just making statement without support (i.e. "Buy XRP because Monday is going to pump").

  • 1 merit for a post with relevant information or helping someone, well written, with sources if required.
  • 2 merits for posts that are "curated", that is edited with the comments and on topic (because it saves lots of time to readers to have all in one place).
  • 3 to 10 merit to extraordinary posts, that take knowledge and effort to write and address a problem that is widespread, helps many people and is appreciated in the community.
  • more than 10 merit based on the story of previous posts, that is, members that consistently post high-quality, non-commercially abusive content and generate interest in the forum.

But all this is highly subjective. For example this post would be between 0 to 1 merit for me, but hey feel free to merit me 50 if you want  Grin Grin Grin

5923  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Mintia, supplier of Bank of England to issue Gold backed token - A crypto-refuge on: January 31, 2018, 10:33:56 AM
I just read this post http://cointia.com/post/2612 and though it was too good not to share:

“We already sell physical gold through our Royal Mint Bullion business and we sell coins and bars. In this sense what we’re doing here is simply making that a digital business and allowing for our clients to be able to hold gold for the first time on a Blockchain basis.”

We are talking here of a reputable institution that is issuing a gold backed token. The immediate use case is using it a refuge during the Bloodbaths and Red Weeks. I would appreciate if anyone can confirm this news, as it is very relevant for traders and hodlers alike.

For those that don't get the picture, Bitcoin and gold (and Alts) will now be mutually tradable once these tokens hit the exchanges, so you can potentially protect yourself from big dumps.

5925  Local / Tokens (Español) / Re: [ANN] ICE ROCK MINING - Bringing Bitcoin Mining to the investors-PROFIT FOR LIFE on: January 30, 2018, 09:46:38 PM
5926  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / How will this influence BTC Samsung to produce Mining Equipment for BTC & others on: January 30, 2018, 02:05:57 PM
I just read this article:

https://www.newsbtc.com/2018/01/30/samsung-south-koreas-largest-company-manufacturing-asic-chips-bitcoin-
mining/

Apparently Samsung is entering the ASIC production marketing. How do you think this will influence Bitcoin mining? Will it become (even) more centralised? Will Samsung take over the market?

“Samsung is operating a foundry that supplies a Chinese cryptocurrency mining firm with mining equipment and ASIC chips. Since Samsung has just begun its cryptocurrency mining venture, it is unsure of the revenues it can generate from it,”

5929  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Bounties (Altcoins) / Re: Rating of bounty managers on: January 29, 2018, 05:42:39 PM
Is there any rating of bounty managers available? That could be a great resource to see who is most experienced and best.

I'm still very little involved in the bounty companies. But a friend who participates for a long time, said that he likes sylon, Colorless, Avirunes of Course it's his subjective opinion.

Lately there many projects run with by AmaziX. They are very strict with the rules and some of them a bit harsh with the bounty hunters. I would say the get the job done.
5930  Economy / Economics / Re: Can cryptos destroy the invasive marketing? on: January 29, 2018, 05:40:29 PM
I am in favour of marketing campaigns, but I am not in favour of harassing people at every corner. It seems that the marketers have become quite wild. Could decentralisation help with this?

I am too is not in favor with invasive type of marketing strategies being implemented by many companies online or offline. The best marketing will always be permission marketing where both sides know the parameters of what they are doing and there is no coercion whatsoever...convincing people has to be based on merits and not on hypes. Now, we already have some marketing companies about to use the blockchain technology for their platforms and hopefully there would be a new day dawning for the marketing industry -- with the help of the blockchain, that is. I am not a good marketer but am always fascinated with marketing strategies that work and of course those that don't so we can learn from them. Block chain as applied in marketing will be a new frontier and I understand there are some ICO projects along this line...let's see how things will be developing on this as we know that marketing industry is a huge one and definitely one of the industries we can't help but experience everyday.

Exactly! There are many ICO projects out there in at least two spheres that affect the marketing. Firstly, the tokenised add payments, and secondly the identity services. I think that these can have an influence on invasive marketing. I would like to hear more views on this, as I deeply dislike it for promoting useless comsuption.
5931  Local / Altcoins (criptomonedas alternativas) / Re: We need a language translation for a new Token. on: January 29, 2018, 10:49:53 AM
Thanks for your interest.
With Waves; over 200 tokens were produced in world stock exchanges. There is no reliability problem. All processes, such as the same Ethereum, can be monitored. Waves also provides a stable environment for us.

The expected value for XLD is 1 USD. The reason is that the lottery tickets and prizes are paid by XLD. We give 1 XLD a 1 USD purchase guarantee. Our 30-year official lottery experience in the Middle East and Cyprus is progressing steadily.

I am not questioning the technical suitability of the WAVES platform, just the type of projects I see on it. I am not going to check the legitimacy of the project, the people behind, etc.. But just pure business logic:

As for the rest, your answer does justify the value of the tokens as they are convertible and backed up by your business. However it raises two questions:

a) You are pre-selling 100 million USD of future tickets. What is your current revenue / sales per year?

If your ticket costs 1 dollar and is convertible in 1 dollar (backed by your business sales)

b) As an investor I want to make profit. Why would the token rise in price? Why would I not simply use my dollars, which are a solid fiat whenever I want to buy your tickets?
c) How do you ensure the convertibility? Is it just your word or will you have a deposit certificate?

5935  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin's High Volatility on: January 28, 2018, 11:21:55 AM
As far as i know bitcoin has a high volatility given the fact that it is in demand in the market but i did not expect hat it is so high that it can really go from 1-100 and 100-0.
I want your insights about this voatility of bitcoin.

Perhaps the problem is that the whole crypto systems has been built from the top to the bottom. We have created currencies before the market, and markets before adoption. Now is time to build the foundations.
5936  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: views on Arcblock on: January 28, 2018, 11:18:32 AM
The arcblock project prides itself as helping to develop the blockchain 3.0 frontier. More specifically, it is inherently an OPEN CHAIN ACCESS PROTOCOL, a set of rules which allows the creation of an abstract ops/processing layer to enable interoperability of applications across blockchains. This reminds me of other cross-chain projects such as wanchain or aion, which have garnered a lot of attention recently. Any views from the crowd here?

Not a bad one in terms of hype, the project seems fine. I think that it is worth putting a bit into it. I believe that whitelisting will be freezed at some point, so don´t delay your decision.
5937  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Cashing out as a UK citizen abroad and taxation on: January 28, 2018, 10:54:04 AM

You can't unless you become a Danish citizen.

You don´t have to be a citizen, you just need to be resident for tax purposes that is, while the UK remains in the EU, after that you may have more difficulties settling. A quick way to do so is find a job in Denmark, even if it is shitty.

As per most international agreements, you can be resident for tax purposes by living in a country more than half of the year.

Graciaaaaas
