anyone have any problems with the miner not hashing any shares. It did for a few days but now, just shows new blocks. No change to my bat file and I've tried all the miner software (cpuminer/cgminer/bfgminer). They all produce no shares, but also, no errors...
Any suggestions would be great.
Thanks!

Just posting because this thread is much too quiet.
May as well ask: any word yet?
Also, with merge mining, how does that work for me, the miner? If it all goes well etc, will I still be able to mine at pitythepool or? and, um, no, that should be enough to confuse me for now.
won't make any difference to you but most pools won't be able to take advantage of the merged mining. At least any of the pools that run on MPOS as it doen't support merged mining. NOt really sure what happens in that situation, like... even though the pool frontend doesn't support it... do the merged coins still get generated and collected somewhere???

I have a few questions: How noisy are the fan? How hot do they get? - do fan need to run at full speed? If not overcloking and running scrypt only
If you have a lot then it gets NOISY.... I have 2 and on one the fan made a lot of noise, i cutted it out and inserted a new 80mm fan. Now it is silent and works great. As someone already said, if it is for scrypt only you don't need then fan and it gets only warm to the touch... for SHA you have to have the fan.. regards, P. interesting. I'm only using scrypt so maybe I'll try dropping the fan off.

You don't need the fan at all for scrypt only. really? I do find them fairly loud compared to my cubes. Would be nice if you didn't need it on....

Were these for the scrypt mining? I got a payment but I thought I used a different address as it came in on the antminer gb address. I put it all in one payment, didn't see the new address you wanted it sent to in my hurry. Will use the right one next time, sorry about that. NO problem. You see the other address though right? Let me know and I'll send it again. I just like to keep them separate so I know how each GB i'm in is doing. Just got my 5chip online today

I got an email back saying I got refunded however, bitcoin-qt conveniently started up today saying I need to re-index. pisses me the fuck off. Bobsag3 knows what I mean. I'll find out next week sometime when it gets finished unless someone else has some sort of trick to speed this shit up.
what is the address I can look it up for you. send me a pm with the btc address you gave bob I will look it up and send you a screen shot. I right, forgot I can do that (1Hk8wAWTf3F3JT5t5pBNUwZMdZAZBqs6DB). Looks like it has been sent. I'll get it someday when my wallet it back in sync.

Would you guys prefer faster blocks and quicker difficulty adjustment or merged mining with BTC?
Merged mining would ensure the best network security, and is the route I would prefer, but we would need to find someone to help us put that in. I think it's the best solution to keep the coin supply where it should be, but also increase network hashrate and get it somewhat stable
How does this merged mining work? It is compatible with the pools? Yea, you might have to do a few tweaks, but pools are capable of it. Basically you mine Bitcoin and the merged coin at the same time with the same hashpower This would let the network do what it wants to do, but give it the needed hashpower to push forward without changing the coin itself. It's going to be the best option for the situation we are in. However, I will need to find someone that can do this right since it will be a fork and we have a lot of pools and exchanges to get updated If anyone has any experience putting merged mining into an already launched SHA coin, please contact me The software I use doesn't have merged mining capabilities...
