Enjoy!
Nice we have 4 mining pools, now, all listed in the OP. You know why my XP wallet is not sync? [/quote] The issue is obviously specific to your PC. My suggestion, for starters, stop using an out of date, unsupported OS.

Report;
As far as I can tell, the magic numbers hard fork, was a complete success. All previous issues, with the client trying to sync with the LTC network, should now be permenantly resolved.
And and all issues with the GIL client, please let me know. If it is a problem with the client itself, I will fix it, ASAP. Please be aware, that not all issues you may experience, are caused by the GIL client. Some issues, are specific to your PC, and cannot be fixed by a client update.
Thanks

anybody can sync by V7.3?
Yes. All my clients synced properly. If your client says out of sync, its just because noone is mining GIL right now, so no blocks are being found. I'll be changing the diff adjustment tonight, and releasing a new client, to address this issue.

maybe like 5-10 blocks or something?
MST has a diff adjust of 10, and people exploit the hellout of it. They let the pool mine at higher diff, then, when diff drops, they jump on solo with high hashrate, and steal a lot of the easy blocks for themselves, rinse, repeat. Adjusting every block, is the bgest way to ensure that loyal GIL miners, don't get screwed out of blocks, by those types of greedy people.

If PSN can be hacked, and Sony brought to their knees, pretty sure, MCXNow, is not invincible.

So put 13435 as RPCport in your config file! What? RPC port has no affect on anything. It's the port you use, for your miner to comunicate with your wallet, for solo mining. It can be what ever you want it to be

Are there ways to earn this coin without mining, maybe by writing?
|
|

Use Cryptsy wallet for you main wallet, and use PC wallet, for charity wallet. Why are you over complicating things?

Is there a working block explorer for this coin anymore?
Better question, Is there a working anything for this coin anymore? ~BCX~ Client works, 2 working pools, and it is still trading fine, on Cryptsy. Do you offer anything positive to this community? Oh no, that's right, you try to brag about killing coins, while pulling your pud in mamma's basement.

FFS, you do not need to hard fork, to changed difficulty adjustment. Simple software update. Change diff adjust, once 51% of network has update, done.

You don't need a hard fork for this...
Who said it was hard fork? lol. Just update... Um, the friggin title of the thread??

What do you guys think will happen to the price after the next halving?
It will have to double, for the coin to stay alive. No, it does not need to double, but it will go up, probably with a slight lag after the halving to account for diminished supply. Also, those, who see it, have already started buying, so the price is edging upwards. Well, at 500 Block reward, the profitability floats around 100%. If reward halves, and price does not double, profitability will float around 50%, and noone will mine it. So, the price HAS to double, for the coin to stay alive. This isn't complicated. What happened when the block split from 1000? It wasn't on an exchange, when that happened In other words, people were mining prior to an exchange? With a higher reward rate? And continued to mine in greater abundance after the halving? Hm. Hashrate has greatly decreased. If reward halves, and value does not double, due to the per block diff adjustment, Hashrate with halve as well, for it to remain @ 100% profitability. And each time reward halves, if value does not increase, Hashrate will half as well. So, as reward drops, so will hashrate, and coin will fizzleout and die. Do I need to drawe you a picture?

you know the whole pretending to be somebody else routine is getting old.. if you feel the need to create a new account just pull shit like this i won't bother that's for sure.
if your actually new to the community and this is your first coin i would be utterly shocked to hell and back.
if i was actually motivated (and i'm not) i could probably figure out who you are and show case some idiocy but why bother after all you'll make a new account tomorrow and pump a new shit coin.
i'm almost speechless ..this is fucking stupid wow
have fun kissing this guys ass people.. don't swallow too much or you'll have to get your stomach pumped
Dear Spoetnik, in my opinion it's rather total disrespect for the netiquette that I consider "ban-worthy", but I'm no admin here. It's not like you were attacked in any manner, so you just come into a threat and for no apparent reason start throwing out obscenities. If you have a point to make about this coin, make it, and make it factual. If there's a point to your critique, that's a much better way to get it across. No one has attacked you here, so there is absolutely no reason for this behaviour. Kind regards Mike270 Spoetnik is a borderline socialpath

I'm not very happy with the Diff adjustment of GIL. My proposal, change it to adjust, every block, so it doesn't get stuck on a higher difficulty. I'll let the magic numbers switch take effect first. Any objections?
|
|
|
Client confirmed for syncing. Sometimes it seems to get stuck, but it just takes a bit to find peers I guess.. Also, the pool on http://gil.netcoin.pl/ is working perfectly, I get literally 0 rejects (intensity 16), so if you have a relatively low hash rate, but want to mine GIL, go there, it's a nice pool. Can you post some peers -- I resync'd but I also got stuck at block 100096 Delete your block chain and peers.dat, and try again.
