Looks like your GPUs are stalling/crashing which causes the watchdog to jump in. typically too much overclocking, undervolting or similar which causes your GPUs to crash.
62  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: 8 card limit on Windows is Removed! on: March 11, 2018, 11:20:50 AM
Hey guys just wanted to let you know this works in Win10x64 LTSB so you don't have to use the bloated Pro version.

I've moved on to HiveOS though and love it much more.  But it's worth noting.  Also to get afterburner to see it just reboot the computer after the drivers are installed for 9th card.  Same as you have to do with less cards.

I'm formatting my drives so here's a pic while I can for you pic people. Wink  It does work.

I don't know if the special upgrade included in the fall creators pack was included in some smaller update, LTSB doesn't gets loads of updates like other windows versions or if it matters on the kind of adapters used.

I'm using these adapters: https://www.amazon.com/MintCell-Adapter-Mining-Ethereum-Monero/dp/B077F4VCHR/ref=pd_lpo_vtph_147_tr_t_2?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=MTJPG2N52QZ5TRC0J5YY

It made more sense to me to use those since each risers still gets individual power vs the adapters that share the power.

I use win10 64 1709 pro debloated. Asus B250 mining expert with 13 RX580 GPUs. Virtual mem. set to 80 GB on my SSD. Output with claymore 11.3 on nanopool is 398.5 mh/s and phoenix 2.7c is 396-397 mh/s. no faults or errors. just stable mining. However profits are dwindling fast it seems. All altcoins constantly going down compared to the USD.

Hi all, testing 11.3 for now it is great...3 1070 nvidia, 3 rx550 and 6 rx580 all fıne and +2 mh total..thx for the good job guys

What is your total hashrate? I am running a rig with 13 RX580 cards and output on nanopool with Claymore 11.3 is 398.5 mh/s.... Phoenix 2.7c miner output is 396-397 mh/s.
64  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's Dual Ethereum AMD+NVIDIA GPU Miner v11.3 (Windows/Linux) on: March 11, 2018, 10:02:07 AM
Hello,

i am mining with claymoreminer ETH only, mining works fine but i do not receive the ETH in my wallet.

Do you see any mistakes here?

BR Cryptmaniac

Most pools have a min. payout hurdle.... I am on Nanopool and there for example the min. payout is 0.2 ETH. Could that be the reason?
65  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: PhoenixMiner 2.7c: fastest Ethereum/Ethash miner with lowest devfee (Windows) on: March 11, 2018, 08:22:53 AM
I'm on W10PRO, latest drivers, etc... everything uptodate.
Of course I tried to lower OC and so on, without success.

What's in common with those 2 RIGS: having RX580 NITRO+ with HYNIX memory  (1st rig with 12 of those cards, the others with 6 of them + 6 GTX).

Quote from: Omg9500
Well I am on Win10 1709 and my Rig has 13 RX580. Running at total 398 mh/s on ETH/nanopool flawlessly.

Please enlighten me on how it is you were able to break the 8 AMD GPU barrier in Windows 10? Huh Huh

There is no such thing as a barrier in WIN10. That used to be implemented in the drivers. You need upto date win10 (1709), latest AMD drivers (18.2.3 Feb. 2018) - install ONLY driver!, compute mode switcher (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2815803.0), a max number of 13 similar cards and a mainboard with enough PCIE slots. Then you're good to go. My rig with 13 cards works flawlessly and the output is close to 400 mh/s on ETH/nanopool. no probs at all.

The 13 card barrier is because of the BIOS of my mainboard (Asus B250 expert mining). Power draw on the wall is 1750 watt for the rig including monitor (my rig is like an open cube built with aluminum profiles, with wheels and inside with 3 rows of cards on top of each other).
66  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's Dual Ethereum AMD+NVIDIA GPU Miner v11.3 (Windows/Linux) on: March 11, 2018, 08:13:48 AM
I'd say that largely depends on the maker of your cards and the memory brand being used. you will find a good source of VBIOS mods and the necessary tools for many cards over at anorak.tech

For example I have 10 sapphire nitro+ SE RX580 SE 8GB which perform at around 31 mh/s each (Hynix and Micron memory) and 3 MSI ARMOR OC RX580 8GB at 28.8 mh/s (Hynix). Rig performs at 398 mh/s on ETH.

But, aren't you a bit late to the show bearing in mind that mining income is dwindling?

Have you tried bumping the clock to 1220 or 1225 on the 2220 mhz ram cards?  I find a ratio of 1.81 works best but like you said that depends on the card. From my limited testing that ratio seems optimal.

I have indeed but then the temp of my cards goes beyond 70C which I don't feel comfortable with as it may affect durability...

The settings in overdriventool or MSI afterburner also depend on the modifications made on the VBIOS level.

a) it does not seem to be possible to mine directly into your nicehash wallet using claymore
b) using nicehash miner forces a restart of claymore every minute
c) no reply from nicehash concerning these problems
d) nicehash deceived a lot of people by lack of security and being hacked
e) using nicehash you are getting less money
f) instead if using nicehash miner you could also use awesome miner
g) it is more profitable to mine any altcoin directly

Hence why use Nicehash?

Omg9500 and Dragonizer:
I mine directly to nicehash wallet using claymore 11.2, see his threadhttps://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1433925.0 for download link.

Starting miner using start.bat:
Code:
setx GPU_FORCE_64BIT_PTR 0
setx GPU_MAX_HEAP_SIZE 100
setx GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1
setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
setx GPU_SINGLE_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
EthDcrMiner64.exe

Config.txt
Code:
-epool stratum+tcp://daggerhashimoto.eu.nicehash.com:3353
-ewal WALLET.Riggname
-epsw x
-esm 3
-allpools 1
-estale 0
++ settings for undervolt.

I have claymore 11.2 and followed your example precisely. same error "socket was closed remotely (by pool)". Starting claymore through nicehash miner no problem. starts fine. But every minute a new claymore window starts and old window closes....
71  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] NiceHash.com - sell & buy hash rate cloud mining service / multipool on: March 04, 2018, 09:57:13 AM
Try claymores nicehash example, page 1 in his thread. Edit your config
Also use setx GPU_allocate blabla in start.bat (as mentioned in thread).

I did that and follow the decription....

EthDcrMiner64.exe -epool stratum+tcp://daggerhashimoto.eu.nicehash.com:3353 -ewal <mybitcoinwallet> -epsw x -esm 3 -allpools 1 -estale 0

all I get is "the socket was closed remotely (by pool)" and it is not possible to connect.
72  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] NiceHash.com - sell & buy hash rate cloud mining service / multipool on: March 03, 2018, 03:16:58 PM
Download claymore, mine directly to your nicehash wallet

Tried that but always getting error message socket closed by remote pool.
73  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] NiceHash.com - sell & buy hash rate cloud mining service / multipool on: March 03, 2018, 02:48:29 PM
Hi.

I am using Nicehash (claymore is added as 3rd party, version 10.6. EthDcrMiner64.exe).

The problem is that the claymore miner seems to be restarting. The window closes and a new one starts.
My rig is 13x amd radeon 570 gpu (only timestrap). (24.9 Mh/s, no modding on oc and undervolt etc).

What is MAX cool time exceeded. RESTARTING ?

Hey, new miner also. Mining for 3 weeks allready have 11 sapphire nitro special edition 8gb. Stable 30.2 MH without modding bios. Dont have power meter, but seems my cards taken lot of electricify on globalpowertune 5. Trying to set 3. Stable for few hours now. How much mh i can reach if i flash bios? I'm useing core 1250, mem 2290 on ethos

You need a powermeter to determine your total consumption on the wall. It is not expensive.

I got 13 RX580 with mobo, SSD, monitor, etc, power draw from the wall around 1700W so I suspect 1 card will be around 110W on the wall... Without modded VBios this can jump up to 180 Watt and your cards will get HOT!

So... what would you choose between Samsung and Micron memory? (Sapphire nitro+ 8gb).

Problem is usually that  you don't know what memory you get as you can't  check the cards before you buy. But it does not matter in my opinion. I have 14 RX580 8GN cards with Hynix and Micron Memory and all are giving around 30 mh/s per card with modded BIOS.

I got modded VBIOS for my cards from fellow miners over at anorak.tech

I would guess - not enough power to properly run the GPUs at max load.
Cryptonight uses less power vs ETH.  That may explain why it works on Cryptonight without issues.

Yes, you may have 3000 Watss in total PSU power, but you also have a nice mish-mash by that mix of few PSUs and 10 GPUs.

For starters try MB+ few raisers + few GPUs on the same 1200 PSU.   Do some math, leave 20% free capacity.
The rest on the second 1200 PSU , and may be 2 GPUs + raisers on the 3rd smaller PSU.
Check how much each GPU consumes on max, etc.  Eventually you can figure it out and be careful.

Well it seems one of my PSUs had a knack and also my mobo suffered (partly melted PSU connector... So I got myself a new PSU (Corsair H1200) and a new MOBO (Asus B250 expert mining) and 4 additional cards (sapphire nitro+ SE).

However the MOBO can only address upto 13 similar cards (mine are all AMD RX580.

I have
PSU 1 (1200W) 4 x RX580 + MOBO and 4 risers + SSD
PSU 2 (1200W) 5 x RX580
PSU 3 (750W) 4 x RX50

Total power draw from the wall (incl monitor) is 1700 watt

Hashing power is around 390 mH/s with modded BIOS and OverdriveNTTool at 1150/875 and 2150/875

win10-64 with AMD drivers Jan 2018 and compute mode by AMD compute switcher. 8GB RAM 228 GB SSD with, 80 GB set temp memory.

Cards are
6 x Sapphire Nitro+ SE RX580 8GB GDDR5 Hynix
4 x Sapphire Nitro+ SE RX580 8GB GDDR5 Micron
4 x MSI Armor OC RX580 8 GB GDDR5 Hynix
All cards are between 29.50 and 30.50 mh/s

Hi everybody,

I need some guidance/advice. I got
- MoBo Asrock H110 Pro BTC+
- 8 GB Ram
- 128 GB SSD
- 6 x Sapphire RX580 8GB Nitro+ Special ed.
- 4 x MSI RX580 8GB Gaming OC
- 2 x 1200W PSU Corsair HX1200 (Platinum)
- 1 x 750W PSU Chieftec (Gold)
- Win10 64 up to date (latest version),  no antivirus
- ATI drivers 17.11.4 (setting "compute" on all cards (all cards properly recognized)

main 1200W PSU powers motherboard, CPU, PCI slots, SSD,  all 10 risers
secondary 1200W PSU powers 6 GPUS
third 750W PSU powers 4 GPUs

The BIOS of all GPUs is modified and the settings in Afterburner (or in my case TRIXX) are 1150 core, 2150 mem, - 132 core voltage.

Running cryptonight algorythm the hashrate per card is approx 710 h/s and total power consumption on full load from the wall is around 1230 Watt (monitor excluded) . System running very stable.

However when I fire up Claymore with Ethash algo hashrate per card is approx 32 and full load on the wall jumps up to approx 1450 watt and system shuts down with a clack and reboots....

I have tried connecting the GPUs to different PSUs but no change. Cryptonite always stable and no matter what configuration Claymore shuts down my system as soon as full load is reached.

I can't be a question of lack of power because my PSUs provide more than enough juice for the whole system. Any ideas or hints would be greatly appreciated.

I can confirm this. Running 10 RX580s on win10 with drivers 17.11.4 without problems.

@Bakhtra
Can you give me your settings in afterburner if you are using this? afterburner not working for me as it does not recognize more than 8 GPUs and its not working with driver 17.11.4. Hence I am using TRIXX instead (similar tool from Sapphire instead of MSI afterburner).

change your bios and you should reach about 31ish.... https://anorak.tech/

Shh! I'm leaving it alone for at least a day!

I'm signed up on Anorak and modding the BIOS is definitely under consideration. If I was only going to get to 27-28 MH/s I probably wouldn't bother, but for 31 MH/s I am definitely game. Still, I'd like to earn a few coins with the card before potentially bricking it.

you wont brick it so easily. trust me.
