61  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: REAL WORLD PROBLEMS AND BITCOIN on: November 07, 2018, 10:44:13 PM
What real world problem is bitcoin solving rn? and to what extent?

I can say categorically that bitcoin/cryptocurrency has really helped in solving the global problem of unemployment and financial/economic recessions. I know quite a lot of persons that got a boost through the help of their involvement in cryptocurrency. If not for the present dips in the bitcoin, quite a lot more would have been helped out of penury.
62  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin too difficult to understand? on: November 07, 2018, 09:38:55 PM
So I was watching "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon" and I came across a video where Jimmy is talking about Bitcoin's Birthday  " Thank you, Bitcoin for turning 10 years today this week which is the exact amount of time it takes for someone to explain it to me what the hell Bitcoin is".
Also, I know it was meant as a joke but don't you think this explains facts in a humorous way!
I feel like the biggest problem with Bitcoin is the "understanding" of it.
What do you think?
If you want to watch the video, here's the link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i3Hma8DKXS8&t=100s
(0:53----1:07)

Bitcoin isn't had to understand but I believe a lot of persons were introduced with a misconstrued understanding of what it fully entails. I believe many came in with the full notion of just earning money with it's investment before realizing that there are other uses to it. I believe that understanding the bitcoin goes along having a clear understanding of what the whole concept of cryptocurrency has to offer and the future of digital currency.
63  Economy / Economics / Re: SEC November 5th on: November 06, 2018, 11:15:33 PM
SEC will close the comments on CBOE ETF on November 5th, after this day they can reject, postpone or deny the ETF, in your opinion what will happen? if the ETF is rejected BAKKT will be able to push the prices up?, we have to keep in mind that the SEC is still analyzing all rejected ETFS again, is that a good sign? The next 3 months are the most important in the history of Bitcoin and it can start a new Bull Run, I'm almost having a stroke with this novel, Bitcoin more than 10K until December? share yours thoughts.

I am also very optimistic about the bitcoin and cryptocurrency market bull run. It is about ten months already in the market dip; the bull run is very much around the corner! The bitcoin can possibly hit the 10k$ mark in no time by December.
64  Economy / Economics / Re: Economy going up and up everyday on: November 06, 2018, 10:59:48 PM
This is very typical to our economy here in my country as things are getting more and more expensive day by day. The ones that have increased have not found their way back. The rise of the cryptocurrency can and will help to ameliorate the decaying global economy.
65  Economy / Economics / Re: No Crypto Taxes Until 2030: Proposes New Ukrainian Bill on: November 06, 2018, 10:53:32 PM
The bill that has been introduced in the Ukrainian parliament which proposes a halt on cryptocurrency taxation of any nature in Ukraine until the end of 2029, would definitely be something all crypto people would get behind. The questions is, how does cryptocurrency taxing work? And is there a fair way around it?

I believe the withdrawal of tax on cryptocurrency is a very good one by the Ukrainian government. Going by the poor/static trend if the market trend. I believe this is fair enough to encourage more cryptocurrency Investors. Answering the question of how a fair taxation can be achieved, I believe a certain percentage taxation fee can be placed on cryptocurrency transactions made which will be very convenient for Investors.
66  Economy / Economics / Re: If you had 10000$ on: November 01, 2018, 11:45:20 PM
If you had 10000$ where would you invest it?  I'm hoping for 10x in about 2 years, how would you personally split that money? There are so many altcoins that I dont know which to pick, I remember the top 5 altcoins from years ago and  now they are all gone, so should I only invest in  BTC end ETH or others like NEO, ADA and EOS?

Well, if I had 10,000$ today I would probably split it into half and do more of investment in the altcoins as I have noticed quite a number of them have been making some subtle leaps into profit; this can serve as a short term investment. The other part can go into the bitcoin and ethereum for a long term investment.
67  Economy / Economics / Re: LETS KICK OUT POVERTY USING BITCOIN on: November 01, 2018, 11:42:08 PM
Maybe kicking out poverty was originally part of the bitcoin/cryptocurrency agenda but it has since been impeded by the current hold/setback placed on the growth of the market. We have a lot of issues militating against the future of bitcoin but somehow, bitcoin has held its ground till date and I am sure it will get back on track again
68  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What do you think only the rich can make profit from Bitcoin? on: November 01, 2018, 11:19:12 PM
A few people thought that Bitcoin investment is intended for just the rich to make the additional reach. That isn't true. Bitcoin can be utilized by either the rich or poor to make benefit. It requires smartness, patience, and less greediness both make a good profit from Bitcoin.

True about the bitcoin profits for all but at this time when the markets have been down, it is more of those who are rich that makes the more profit compared to those who don't have. The smartness of few has kept them afloat in the cryptocurrency game and some few with light knowledge and high greed do help feed/fuel the market with their losses.
69  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin has 54% of the cryptocurrency market on: November 01, 2018, 10:40:36 PM
For those of you that think that Bitcoin is going down this article proves that it's still the strongest in the cryptocurrency world. Not since December 2017 has Bitcoin been such a dominant part of cryptocurrency.

Full article here: https://bitcoinist.com/cryptocurrency-market-54-bitcoin/

A major tie/connection has been given to bitcoin to lead in the cryptocurrency market and also have a major influence on the other tokens. As much as the altcoins have hope with future realistic plans, so also, the bitcoin has its relevance and a stake in the growth of these altcoins too.
70  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: EXPECTATION Vs. REALITY Bitcoin in the Eyes of the People! on: November 01, 2018, 10:03:37 PM
This picture speaks louder about the misconstrued way people have accepted bitcoin/cryptocurrency and have neglected the crux of the whole technology approach and intent. I for one, would have loved in full details of the extent the blockchain has gone at the moment; the exploits it has done in different segment of the economy.
71  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Problems with banks you have faced on: November 01, 2018, 09:55:39 PM
When people talk about the benefits of bitcoin over Fiat money, one of the biggest advantages is that bitcoin is more secure and the bank has not control over your money. Generally, people talk about the lack of 3rd party.
Give some examples of the problems with banks you have faced that there wouldn't be if cryptocurrencies existed that time.

The major problems as regards the banking system that I have complained of and similar with those around me is the issue of payment transfer confirmation; network issues! This usually happens most times when one is the heat/peak of urgent transactions. This affects one's credibility when transactions/payments are not made immediately with clients.
72  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin adoption for better life in future . on: November 01, 2018, 09:12:43 PM
Well, every one want to be a millionaire, this is the dream of everyone, no harm in it. Henry Ford did not make a conveyor for the man he did to produce cheaper cars.Innovations come from attempts to bypass competition and win.
Although this is partly our own mistake. You can not always blame others. For example, I mentioned that we can not spend bitcoin to buy what you want. The question is, did we really see if it's impossible to buy this thing using bitcoins or are you making a guess? Because I've seen a lot of people who just assumed they can not afford to waste their time, but they could.but also we know bitcoin adoption as a currency is not yet great,, is also part of our error. For example, how many times have you asked the seller you are using bitcoin? We need to start with ourselves and insist on acceptance, and then expect others to follow

This is the dream of many pioneers and enthusiasts for ,long run, , but  it will be near-impossible to get the coin into the
mainstream economy short-term,but with time it adoption will increase.Even I, who started late in the game , wanted to see the Bitcoin as a currency of work, and not just some speculative assets.

Just as specified, it is bitcoin for the future not really for the now. This should be a respite for the newbies in cryptocurrency and also those who are just in for the quick money. By the time the full adaption of bitcoin comes to being, we will see some real values added to the bitcoin than what it is today.
73  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Why not make the most of your time with other tokens? on: November 01, 2018, 07:43:29 PM
I see that quite a lot are complaining about the bitcoin dips currently being experienced in this year 2018. Well, don't just sit on one spot nagging, there are other tokens that have been birthed (due to the existence of bitcoin) that are still making people some worthy cool cash. I witnessed about 2 of them this week that made good leaps - Etheera and Trident group.
74  Economy / Speculation / Re: Today`s bitcoin market is pretty quite slow! on: November 01, 2018, 07:33:50 PM
The market has been everly slow this year and has really beaten most analyst's projections! It has really beaten a lot of people hands down in real shock. I am not that expectant myself as at now so, not perplexed at the current slow pace at which the bitcoin moves back and forth.
75  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Peak get lower and lower, and dips get worse on: November 01, 2018, 07:20:53 PM
Peak - 16 Dec: 20.000$

Dip - 30 Dec: 12.600$

Peak - 6 Jan: 17.100$

Dip - 5 Feb: 6.900$

Peak - 4 Mar: 11.500$

Dip - 7 Apr: 6.600$

Peak - 5 May: 9.800$

Dip - 28 Jun: 5.800$

Peak - 24 Jul: 8.400$

Now we are at 6.200 going down to the next even deeper dip

This is the long and slow death of Bitcoin as there are not really anyone new who wants to use it (let's face it, there is no use at all, only "investment"), and as current Bitcoin-believers are slowly becoming fewer and fewer, the price will continue this long slow death-spiral

The bitcoin dips have being maintained/sustained for a particular period in this 2018. As much as this isn't good news for most of us, there are still other avenues of making real cool cash still in this cryptocurrency markets. Just within this week alone, I have seen some tokens that made a leaps of +289% and +1130% increase! Imagine having a reasonable unit with you while the increase happened... You won't definitely complain much about the dips of bitcoin.
76  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Blockchain or Banks: Which has a Better Security for Financial Transactions? on: November 01, 2018, 07:14:19 PM
Blockchain or Banks: Which has a Better Security for Financial Transactions?

By now, it’s highly likely that most of us understand how Blockchain technology has dramatically changed and how the world operates considerably. The Blockchain system is an openly distributed digital ledger technology behind the cryptocurrency industry. According to Alex Tapscott, the co-author of the Blockchain Revolution, the Blockchain technology is changing the concept of banking […]The post Blockchain or Banks: Which has a Better Security for Financial Transactions?

It is definitely blockchain over the banks! A friend complained bitterly as regards the poor mode of operation of the banks especially when he had some very crucial transactions to make; really made him have some losses. I overheard his groanings and out of concern too, I just told him that it's high time the banks switched their modus operandum to that of blockchain! This will of course curb a lot of hassles being presently experienced.
77  Economy / Economics / Re: The basis of being a poor- how little or how big? on: October 31, 2018, 10:13:20 PM
There are environments where some people have found themselves in that has contributed to their being poor. Most probably, a change in environment could enhance their level of livelihood. In an economy that isn't well set finanxially, most of the people's stautus will tend towards being poor.
78  Economy / Economics / Re: Tax on the crypto currency! What do you think? on: October 31, 2018, 09:39:42 PM
The tax system can be effected in areas/regions/countries where things are functioning effectively. Most areas in Africa where data compilation has been flawed time and time again will find it impossible to derive tax from cryptocurrency earnings. Some real homework will need to be done to set things in order before proper taxing can be effected.
79  Economy / Economics / Re: 2018 the year of correction? on: October 29, 2018, 10:09:15 PM
I actually haven't been able to place the real cause of the sustained dip of this year 2018. I have heard several speculations and all have not actually aimed right. If you now say it is a price correction, I wouldn't fully agree as a lot of the token prices have been devalued really below their real prices.
80  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin will be stronger this time on: October 26, 2018, 12:13:33 AM
The ETF allowance is still being awaited as at today; several shifted dates/postponement. The stronger time expected at this time is a major one as a lot have bought into the cryptocurrency with some immediate expectations which hasn't been met yet.
