61  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why are so many people against bitcoin? on: December 11, 2017, 09:53:02 PM
I'm trying to understand why are so many people against bitcoin?  is it the innovation that scares them? the feeling of staying behind? the fact that that money will go to the wrong hands?

I do not know exactly why do they really hate bitcoins, maybe they work on a banks and bitcoins are ruining their jobs. Or maybe they have been a victim of a bitcoins scam they lend money into some bitcoins scam then they loses it. The thing is bitcoins do not have investment thing, if you wanted to invest in bitcoins probably buy bitcoins then just hold it in your wallet and that would not be a scam. Or if you are investing in some icos you better watch out for those non legit projects that will just only scam your money. We need to be picky to avoid scam do not hate just trust

In my case, people I know are generally very financially conservative which means they don't really comfortable with high level of risks. I kind of understand them as most of them grew up like that.
62  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Should I buy BTC? on: December 11, 2017, 09:05:40 PM
why would you think that it is too late to buy btc? In my opinion, i think that it is the perfect time to buy btc and hold them as many time as you can,if you want your investment to raise 2x or 3x  Grin

Totally agreed. Whenever it increase, people start to think if it is a right time or not because they think it is too expensive to buy. just think like this, if you would know it will be 100K usd a bitcoin in few years, would you still think that is expensive now?
63  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to explain bitcoin to teenagers or children on: December 11, 2017, 06:47:38 PM
Bitcoin is difficult to explain. I also felt difficulties in understanding bitcoin for the firs time. Let's share how to explain bitcoin to children of teenagers. In My country I can say 98% children don't know bitcoin. In fact, bitcoin can be future money. If the children not familiar with cryptocurrency or bitcoin, how can they face the digital era in the future.
It is true that bitcoin is hard to explain especially to teenagers and children because the idea of bitcoin is very complicated. Maybe, explaining bitcoin to teenagers will not be that hard because they can listen to you and understand what you are saying to them about the idea of bitcoin unlike in children, they will not focus on you and ignore what you are saying because they dont want that kind of topic. They only want to play and have fun with theirselves.

I actually disagree. Do not confuse new generation with us and older. They are very sharp when it comes to understand new things. At least my kids didn't have any difficulty to understand crypto currency market.
64  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Should I Wait or Invest On Bitcoin? on: December 11, 2017, 06:29:21 PM
Actually I just joined into bitcoin, I heard from new neighbors and I was interested to join, then I tried to create a bitcoin account and started to open the site "Bitcointalk" after I tried it well enough to invest, I chose to start from now.
Suppose, even if I do an analysis, who will say that it is true. And you are ready to entrust the man your money, which you do not even know. I can only advise you to think with your own head. Here months are needed to understand and you want everything and immediately.

That is very wise advice tough. You should listen your insights mate. Everybody will say something else here. If you will make a mistake, let it be your own mistake!
65  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I have money , but thinking about best return of investment on: December 11, 2017, 04:50:57 PM
if you have a lot of capital, you should invest to ETH or BTC, because the two coins can be said coin is a small risk to go down, besides investment in altcoin is very risky

If you really think about return on investment I would divide money to half half. I'D invest btc and eth with half of the money and I'd invest alt coins with another half of money.
66  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are Airdrops Profitable? on: December 11, 2017, 04:33:03 PM
Hi everyone. I've tried participating in a couple of airdrops but haven't gotten any coins yet. For those of you who have, how do you go about making anything out of airdrops? Is it worthwhile or just the usual pump and dump?

I'm actually surprised at first but they actually do, some airdrops raffles an amount of token which you can earn just by participating to their airdrop. But most of the airdrop give a few amount of tokens but in the end it all depends on the market value of that token.

In my case I never had any profitable airdrop. Maybe someone else was lucky and they had good profit but I really don't believe that airdrops are profitable!
67  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Poloniex stole my bitcoins on: December 11, 2017, 03:32:05 PM
Day 12/08 I received 0.37116609 on my Poloniex account. I made some trades and I only got 0,35646401

Today, I tried to create an order of 0.35646401 for U$ 50,000, but the order and the bitcoins are gone.

They are not in the OPEN ORDER, they are not in MY TRADE history, they were not WITHDRAW from my account, they are not in USDT. Where are they?

There are no different acess in my account. Poloniex system disappeared with my bitcoins. What to do?

I open a Ticket, #569575, but dont have reply.

I think you need to wait for their official reply on this, I think the matter will be solved by them, you just need to be patient. They are a renowned company, with many bugs in their system and shortage of support staff, so something like this happens quite often there, but eventually they do sort it out most of the times. Lets hope its a similar case with you.

PS. Do share once the problem resolves and you get your funds back.

Yes. Please let us know if your problem resolved because I was considering if I want to use Poloniex or not. I'll decide after your problem.
68  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Sell your house for investment in btc. on: December 11, 2017, 01:03:08 PM
I grew up really poor but saved a lot of the money I made in high school. I invested 10,000$ into btc when it was at 220 / coin, just sold for 75Gs. Buying a property for me to live in, first one in my family Cheesy
edit: I'll look into paying the dang capital gains tax, jeez.
Edit 2: Also sorry guys the price tanked when I sold Sad

Should have only sold as much as needed for minimal down payment. You will do better holding bitcoin than dumping it into a house.
That will be risking to another level. The idea of living in the street is scary for me. I will use another strategy may be sell the hose and use small part of the money and invest while the remaining part will be used to get a temporary accommodation.

I really don't think that is a good idea. First of all we need to learn doing risk management. If you lose everything then what will you do without home?
69  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Where do you find interesting ICO ? on: December 11, 2017, 10:33:46 AM
Bitcointalk forum and kickico are two places I find ICOs info

Kickico is a good place to search for solid ICO projects. And of course here at bitcointalk you can find almost all possible projects ann thread.
70  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum is so slow on: December 11, 2017, 09:25:02 AM
I'm not really informed about Ethereum but I've seen a lot of threads circulating here discussing the Crypto Kitties DApp (decentralized application) that slowed the network down. It might be still the case or maybe even more DApps got released? The attention in the media for Ethereum also could have been  a cause for the slow network as this also results in more traffic on the network.

The main cause to the slow network is the CryptoKitties DApp, this Dapp is responsible for a bit more than 10 % of all transactions!

This is very upsetting that one coin can occupy %10 of network communication. There had to be some limitation.
71  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Hackers are active these days. on: December 11, 2017, 09:11:11 AM
Some bitcoin users told me not to do transactions in these couple of days because hackers are active these days. I want to know is it true? or some kind of rumor? Anyone here who have faced such problem?

I do believe that Bitcoin transactions are secured and nobody can hack it. But I don't really know that. I haven't heard any report that they were hacked using Bitcoin transaction.

I don't think so. I see that hackers want to hack more because price increased very fast.
72  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BTC Mining vs Buying on: December 11, 2017, 08:56:00 AM
I prefer to just buy bitcoin. Mining bitcoin is not a lucrative way of having bitcoin nowadays because of its high difficulty. Back then, when bitcoin is just fairly new, it was a great way of acquiring it and just hold it to have a good profit. Not to mention the cost to build mining rigs specially the graphic card which is very costly, and the high electricity cost it consumes just to mine. If you are going to just buy bitcoin, you can avoid this upfront cost. You just need to register in exchange sites and you are ready to go. It depends on you if you are going to hold or trade it to gain more bitcoin.
According to me view buying bitcoin is more easy and profitable job then mining bitcoin because mining is very difficult and costly job and also mining is very risky because you need to spend more money to buy mining devices and other installation system.

Agreed. Now it is much easier to make money by investing comparing to the mining. Maybe it was better 5 years ago but now your mining expenses are very close to your earnings.
73  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Am I late to the party? on: December 10, 2017, 09:14:32 PM
yeah i was also late! i hear about crypto was just last year.. Cry Cry
Don't be discouraged. Not too late. Pay attention to the coin Ethereum. It's only a year old and growing. I think everything is still ahead

That is a good message. Don't be discouraged. As you can see in the price graphs, everyday there are a lot of opportunities in many crypto currencies. so when you feel like, enter.
74  Other / Off-topic / Re: Bitcoin community is rising. on: December 10, 2017, 08:29:23 PM
Rising of community its not bad but this rising is not normall its very fast and it can be very dangerous for example transaction start to be very slow now..

I also think the rise could also lead to someone finding a solution for our many problems associated with not being able to use bitcoin on a daily basis because of slow confirmations and high transaction fees. Maybe tech savvy giants will intensify their research together with the core devs in trying to find a solution when they see the  community growing.

This is a progress and as long as we keep this community making stronger, more people will drop in. This will also enchane our knowledge of bitcoin by sharing it to others.

this is very much expected as bitcoin price was rallied, community also rise in the same speed.
75  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin money? on: December 10, 2017, 07:11:58 PM
Bitcoin money is a digital currency that can only transact through online can not go through offline and used to buy something when you can buy something then it will definitely be a form of money.

that is right. it is a digital currency rather than governmental currency.
76  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BItcoin end or destroy in this month?? on: December 10, 2017, 06:41:30 PM
There are way too many naive people in Bitcoin who panic at every little dip or panic everytime they hear negative news.

Bitcoin was $17,000 earlier and now it's $15,762.. STOP FRIGGIN SELLING PEOPLE!

Exactly. Some people is behacing as if bitcoin price hits to 5k usd and worrying so much. It was just a retracement and now it is on his way to moon again.
77  Economy / Speculation / Re: When will be stable Bitcoin Price? on: December 10, 2017, 06:34:48 PM
Bitcoin price will never be stable, it's not functioning that way. Volatility is something that can't be avoided and it's connected to Bitcoin. There were and there will be periods when the price will stick around certain value for a while but that isn't stability.
Some think volatility is a bad side of Bitcoin and it is in certain sense but on the other hand volatility is something that traders make profit on, so what would Bitcoin be without volatility.

I also think same. Bitcoin price should not be expected to be stable. It will always be volatile as long as it exists.
78  Economy / Speculation / Re: how to predict bitcoin price increase or decrease? on: December 10, 2017, 06:12:56 PM
From what we have monitored from June 2017, the price increases by 100% based on a trajectory with a 30days span.
e.g if the price is at 7000USD within 30day it hits 14,000USD. Now we fore see it making the 100% leaps in shorter periods from 2018, when the financial juggernaut of Wall street begins to dable into Crypto. And guess the crypto of choice for them all..yes! Bitcoin.

There is nothing we can do to predict price. It is all identified by those big whales who is managing the market.
79  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Major benefit of bitcoin? on: December 10, 2017, 04:25:11 PM
I can answer my question by saying that bitcoin has what others don't and that's being the pioneer in the crypto markets. Which is why everything is priced in bitcoin But really....what does bitcoin do better that any other alt? What's the intrinsic value of bitcoin that I can't get with other alt? Transaction fees? No. Fast network? No. scalability? No. A functional product? No. Full anonymity? No. Descentralización? No. So? The markets are priced in bitcoin, and being that base of value is pretty important, but...is that it?
We can do a business here and it's good also for past time, that's the benefits to me of crypto.I think everything is here in crypto we only have the problem of it's volatile price, all you want like to earn and to learn is here you only need here is how to read because the key here in crypto is knowledge to earn bitcoin and also an altcoin

Right. You can actually make your life and even take care of the people that you are responsible for.
80  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are you surprise by bitcoin price now? on: December 10, 2017, 04:09:07 PM
I expected that the price will raise but i never expected that it would be this fast. Its just like you slept and then after waking up it became 15k. haha  Grin

same here. we were all expecting a sharp rise but no body expected such a rally here.
