61  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Burst attack (message spam) Ideas to stop it. on: July 22, 2017, 08:42:42 PM
It's unlikely a time restriction could work. You can tell the wallet whatever time you want.

Also, people can easily have hundreds of addresses to spam so same address restrictions are also useless.

It seems to me that messages are simiar to transactions and we have transaction size limits, block size limits and transaction fees for the same reason - to combat spam.

Interesting.  What about a protocol built into the wallet that auto blocks/bans addresses that send more that x number of messages in y amount of time?  The spammer attacking Burst seems to not care about the cost.
62  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Burst attack (message spam) Ideas to stop it. on: July 22, 2017, 07:38:39 PM
Thread to post ideas for wallet update to stop the message spam attack on Burst.  I think messages should increasingly cost more with in a 1 minute time frame.

Maybe double the fee for every message sent in that time frame from the same address.  Allowing the blocking of certain senders might help as well.

Thoughts?

I'd take that 390x...whatever happened with those 7990's?

I still have this card (390x).  Getting lots of offers ATM.  The 7990's where sold as part of a "package deal" to someone here in the forum.

I will be interested on the downclocked s1, maybe only blades, controller and fans, it depends on your location, and it's only for fun.

I am in western NC.  Let me know what you want and your offering price.

What GPU do you have available?

Hi,

What I have is for sale is listed in the OP.  I might add more later but for now this is all I am selling.

Cheers!

I have already sold all of the 7990's.  I do however have a 295x2 that I would sell.

Anyone have one of these?

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=321091.0

I have two and could part with one.  Bought them along with 100 block erupters years ago.  Mine are in good shape and have original boxes.

How much would you be looking at for a single Terraminer cooler, and what model are they (assuming they're name brand, can't remember)? I need one that's not faulty or leaking for a PC build. Would also need the screws holding the cooler as well.

Hmm.  You mean the watercooling system for one card?  It is one big aluminum radiator and two pumps if I recall.  Have to look as to what brand it is.
71  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS] Nvidia and AMD GPUs and older SHA256 ASICs (PM with offers!) on: May 21, 2017, 01:09:44 AM
were you able to find that card?

thanks Cheesy

If you mean the XFX 7990, I still have it.  Can ship ASAP.

it's been difficult to coordinate a purchase from you this week Cheesy

but alas I just spent my weekly play money...I still want both those cards, might just be a little before I can take em...

Many apologies! Still Have all GPU's listed on first page.   Nvidia cards are not mine but owner indicates he might take $300 for both.

Do you have any mid-range cards for sale? My budget is quite tight at the moment, but my other rig is still using an old 5770 xD. Anything a step up from that would be welcome. If you wouldn't mind taking a look to see what you have in your inventory and PM me, I would appreciate it Smiley

I have 2 x 5870 1GB reference cards.  Also a 6970 2GB with an aftermarket cooler.  Will try to post pictures next week.

80  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: Looking for broken laptops/laptop parts (Canada) on: March 26, 2017, 02:33:35 AM
I have tons of stuff I can part with.  Most of the stuff I have is Core 2 and early I3/5/7 series stuff.  Got lots of ddr2 and ddr3 memory.  Most of this stuff our recycler just hauls off for about 1$ a pound.  They usually pay about $10 to $20 for complete laptops that post (no HDD).  Example would be a later core 2 (2009) that works.  Newer units are a little more but still not much.  I also have AMD laptops and "halftops" laptops with no lid or screen that work connected to an external monitor.

Shocked $1 a pound sounds good  Wink do you have a little lost of your inventory or should I ask for something specific?

If you have something in mind you want, I can look during the week.  I have alot of stuff and it comes in and goes out quickly so I don't keep a list.
