61  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I invest only in ICOs on: June 01, 2018, 05:42:16 PM
Hi guys , I am a begginner in the crypto world , after a long study of the market , rules and regulations research. I am ready to start inversting . First stop that catched my interest is orbis https://orbistransfer.com . Because it has paypal and card purchase . No kyc and country restrictions so I can buy it from US. $500 dollars allocated .
Any other promising icos ? What do you recomend.

Update. btt link for who wants to review my first choice : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=3844192.0

Be very careful if there are no KYC restrictions. Either the project is fully compliant with local regulations, which I don't think is even possible now, or they will be sitting behind the bars shortly and your tokens will have no value
62  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: will Altcoins Survive on: May 27, 2018, 07:25:26 AM
Of course, Altcoin will be persisted. This Altcoin and I think it will also follow the growth of the Bitcoin. And being Altcoin is also very prevalent because they are easily able to benefit from the growth of Altcoin.

they surely will. Now you see even fully regulated banks introducing altcoins, so it's not about whether altcoins will survive but which altcoins will survive, as there are too many.
63  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Ukraine Steps Forward To Legalize Cryptocurrencies on: May 24, 2018, 01:55:50 PM
Ukraine is preparing draft legislation to legalize cryptocurrencies, according to a post by a member of the Ukrainian Parliament

The document notes that the legislation aims to create a “free and transparent” digital asset market in Ukraine, outlining rules for storing, using, and exchanging cryptocurrencies, digital tokens, and smart contracts at a state, entity, and individual level. It proposes regulatory measures for preventing the use of crypto for money laundering, terrorist financing, and other criminal activities.

Source: https://cointelegraph.com/news/ukraine-to-legalize-cryptocurrencies-invites-citizens-to-comment-on-proposed-regulations

we're yet to see what the regulation will look like, but all the news showing that governments are really looking into regulating and using blockchain mean that the future is very bright for all crypto.
64  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin SCAM! on: May 24, 2018, 01:54:54 PM
I was invited by a friend of a friend to invest in Bitcoin last year. He told me that if I invest 5000 in our currency it will be doubled in a month's time. He also promised me that I will get referral fees and override from every person I introduced to Bitcoin and that prices of Bitcoin are expected to increase. To make the story short I did not join because I believe its a pyramiding scam. Truth to be told I did my research on Bitcoin after that and it turn's out that Bitcoin's price was really on rise unfortunately I did not invest at that time. Currently I'm learning more thru this forum and I thank my friend for inviting me here. Just last December I heard from one of my friends that the company they joined was in fact a pyramiding scam and the money they invested in just vanished out of thin air together with the people who invited them. We should be wary of people offering investments and opportunities to us. Do your research. Opportunity comes with risks as well as the rewards. If its too good to be true, it might be a scam. Bitcoin is not a SCAM but there are people who uses Bitcoin to SCAM other people. Good luck to us and more power to Bitcoin!

if someone tells you to double your bitcoins in a month, then there is something very fishy. The rule number one in life is that if something sounds too good to be true, it probably isn't.
65  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How do people get their bitcoins? on: May 23, 2018, 01:41:11 PM
Hey everyone,

I was wondering how most people here receive their bitcoins? I personally handle in virtual items in video games. (CS:GO, DOTA 2, PUBG) I sell these items on a marketplace and receive BTC for them I also join a online casino now and then to try and make some easy BTC!

Do you guys just invest in bitcoins and not touch them? I personally use mine on a daily base for purchases / trading etc..

Let me know i'm interested!  Grin

Tom / Yaking

people usually buy them in the first place. Then there is another group who works for bitcoin, that is surely the minority though. It's nice to see you're spending your btc, thumps up Smiley
66  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: People are joking about Bitcoin on: May 22, 2018, 09:57:05 AM
In recent times, some new ICO companies have been kidding about Bitcoin on Twitter, Facebook for their ICO promotion. I think this promotion way is very negative for Bitcoin. They showed that Bitcoin will be destroyed and their token will become number one. They have presented it in such a way that the price of Bitcoin will not rise anymore. I think this type of promotion is  very negative in the market.

it's their marketing strategy, let them do whatever they feel is right. They should alays give credit to bitcoin, as without it they wouldn't be doing this. But if their project is better, let them prove it
67  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ⚛️ [ANN] Bitcoin Atom - Fork 1:1 of Bitcoin - Atomic Swap Powered ⚛️ on: May 18, 2018, 04:38:08 PM
The only way for the BCA to create a truly decentralized exchange such as EtherDelta and promote their popularity...

Atomic swaps are more decentralized than decentralized exchanges as they don't require for you to visit their domain in order to perform the trades. So BCA will be better than any other exchange.
68  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why Is Getting Bitcoin "Accepted" As A Form Of Payment So Important??? on: May 18, 2018, 02:17:42 PM
That seems to be the general consensus around here at least, is it not? That we need to focus on making bitcoin an accepted form of payment at as many institutions as possible. And ASAP.

Gold is the world standard in terms of holding a value.

But nobody can take their bar of gold to a store and buy a pack of gum.

Most everybody's gold is held in a vault. You rarely get to touch it. But you don't have to. You know you can't take a bar and go buy a car. But you don't care.

These qualities of gold are quite similar to bitcoin and it's intangibility.

I think we need to start thinking about catering to a more... swiss-bank-account-holder-type so to speak.

Let the world know that you can securely store your net worth and access it at anytime, for the cost of an average banking transaction fee and I would assume that investment into the bitcoin platform would skyrocket.

Why try to change bitcoin from what it already is? A store of value.

I think it would be a much easier and saner a goal to achieve first (making bitcoin an accepted store of value), before we strain the community too much in trying to tackle an incredibly competitive payments market. I mean... those companies work on margins of fractions of a percent. They have ties with big banks and government, most of whom most likely won't want to deal with us - at first at least.

Besides, we need people to have money invested in bitcoin in order to spend it first, right?!

Bitcoin is meant to be used for transactions, therefore it's absolutely crucial in long term that it starts being used as a currency. Right now it's used mostly for speculation purposes, which is not really that great
69  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: MYTHS OF ICOS on: May 13, 2018, 06:19:21 AM
Have you noticed the huge amount of ICO myths spread by some individuals.

The reason for them is very simple and will be revealed at the and of the article.

https://medium.com/@filip.poutintsev/myths-of-icos-f0457d31f294

the problem is that we have so many unreasonable people in this community who simply can say word scam either with exclamation mark or question mark. We need more educated people instead
70  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: HODLing will get you nowhere on: May 13, 2018, 06:18:31 AM
The past week, as I've been looking to invest in recently finished ICOs since most of their prices are way below ICO price, I noticed the same thing mentioned over and over in their telegram channels.

People screaming: HODL!!!  It will moon someday!!!!

Another one that is common: When BINANCE!?!?! If only we were on Binance!!!

This makes me laugh inside.  Crypto is not a magical place where all coins will eventually rise in value if you just hold on to them.

Most ICOs did very poorly the last 3 months.  The ones that did the worst were the ones that started in January
Now, a lot of these startups are underfunded and could only list in low volume exchanges and seeing their prices crash to ridiculously low prices.
And everyone is crying on their Telegram.

Listen very closely yo: The price will never rise if everyone HODls!

Prices are boosted through supply and demand and if a vast majority of people who own the coin are not trading it, than you are severely cutting in to that chain.

Instead of Hodling, you should be buying and making strategic trade choices.

people investing in ICOs are investors. These people need to do the needful to help and support the project. You're right, if you see the behavior in the telegram groups, the people are just out of their mind. It's normal that price decrease after the ICO. If you want to support the project, then the ICO makes sense. Without successful ICO there won't be a post ICO trading..
71  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Crypto will be mainstream in a few years on: May 13, 2018, 06:16:44 AM
Since now smart money is in, they will make us need crypto currencies in the future.

So you can HODL! And you will have a nice life. Enjoy!!

I agree, crypto is expected to go mainstream in upcoming years. It's something new, better thatn the system that were before and still relatively unknown to majority of the people.
72  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: why do people insist on comparing bitcoin with unrelated altcoins? on: May 09, 2018, 12:02:22 PM
if you hand around bitcointalk for at least a week you can see the most common newbie created topic here is about bitcoin versus some other altcoin which usually does not even have anything in common with bitcoin!

for example the most common one is ethereum which is a token with an unlimited supply and dark future.
some examples

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=3525529.0
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=3240520.0

all newbies.
is this the new way of advertising it? like they used in early days when they spammed our inboxes about it?
are they having trouble pumping it again?

because they don't know anything about the bitcoin and altcoins, they simply have some very basic knowledge about crypto in general, knowing it's supposed to make them rich. Without the knowledge, they will be posting bs like this..

74  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ICO With fixed Fiat or Crypto rate? on: April 22, 2018, 02:16:40 PM
So guys like the title that I write I want to ask or discuss about this, Do you think it's better / safer to follow ico with fiat or crypto? regardless of project scam or not, for example:

Coin A is sold on ICO with fiat fix price with a rate of 1 USD = 1 COIN A
Coin B is sold on ICO with crypto fix price with rate = 1 COIN B = 0.001 ETH / 0.0001 BTC

What do you think are better guys? And what are the factors that affect it. Thanks and sorry for my bad english.

I don't think it matters too much as people will be always comparing the performance of ICO against both fiat and crypto. The actual results are what matter and if the the product is delivered and marketed properly, the gains are really attractive.

76  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: When is the best time to buy Altcoin? on: April 22, 2018, 01:29:07 PM
I noticed that there are many investors who likes to participate during ICO because of the huge profit but its very risky as well.

When is the best time to buy Altcoin?

ICO stage?
From Exchange?
Wait for the dip?

recently it seems that ICOs tend to fall in prices after they are listed on exchanges. But if everyone bought at that stage, they wouldn't have reached the soft cap and there would be no listings. So I recommend to support companies through ICOs.
77  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: give your best advice on: April 21, 2018, 07:10:10 AM
I would like to ask for your advice, I have $3000 USD. and I am confused, what should I do with my money?I have an idea, I will participate with ico, and I will invest each $200 USD in each of the ICO.What do you think? is it a wise choice? or better I invested all my money for one ICO? I would like to know your opinion on this subject

it is good idea to split your portfolio, that is for sure. But choose a project after very thorough research on team and the idea, then be patient if the price drops or doesn't grow, hold for a 2 years and see what happens.
78  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are cryptos doomed on: April 21, 2018, 07:08:19 AM
Maybe the crypto markets will never develop.
It is a possibility!
I don’t want to be gloomy but this industry has a lot of negative media and big investors do not take it seriously.
In addition, Most of the ICO’s are professional cons
www.bitcoinfuji.com is a bitcoin alternative on the DEX and makes sense

this industry has some large investors investing, you can just google some funds and names, not a difficult job to do. Also there are media who support bitcoin, so also that is not correct
79  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can blockchain change financial industry? on: April 20, 2018, 08:43:42 AM
Blockchain is new technology which change a lot of things in the world. In nearest future a lot of things will be based on it.

Here is an article: https://icoguide.com/en/blog/blockchain-in-the-real-world-industries-it-can-revolutionize-and-change-everything

Author claims, that blockchain will be able to change financial industry. What do you think? Do you agree?

I believe it's already changing the financial industry by making the networks more decentralized and transparent. The attitude of regulators can clearly prove that in my opinion
80  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ICO rating sites on: April 20, 2018, 08:39:58 AM
Good day, about ico rating/listing sites, are they legit? do they evaluate truthfully? do they really have have experts? or they rate an ICO depending on their payment to them?  Sad

I wouldn't rely on them at all. They're often being paid by ICOs to increase their ratings and provide the reviews. Only safe way is to perform your own research on each project you consider to invest in
