61  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Quit your job to promote bounty campaigns fulltime: unrealistic???? on: July 09, 2018, 09:53:27 AM
Last night I had a discussion with a friend if it's possible to quit your job and make a fulltime living of promoting bounty campaigns.
My friend thought you need to promote a lot of bounties at the same time (100 per week), to compensate for the
uncertain number of bounties that will never to lead to any income (coin cannot get listed, withdrawal fees of exchange is too high, scam, etc.).

So the question is: do you agree with this statement?

do not quit your job to do bounty. You will be stressed and fully reliant on market prices and when ICOs pay you your stakes. Better to have other solid income and do bounty aside.
62  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why every coin dumping now? I am losing huge money on: July 09, 2018, 09:52:13 AM
In times like that simply sell your portfolios and buy USD tether which usually fluctuates very little then when everything starts going green, you can buy your portfolios back and still make some cool profit.I also lost a lot of money from the dump.Gradually prices are recovering now.

the way you just describe you had to lose money, as you're buying when the prices grow and selling when prices decline. The way to make profit it exactly the opposite...
63  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Investment on: July 09, 2018, 09:51:20 AM
Hi, I need help on buying.  I am new to crypto industry and I want to invest right now as market is very low.  Suggest me any 3-4 good Alt coins to invest???

Ayesha I really recommend you not to rely on what people write in this thread. They usually have stake in promoted currencies. You will do the best to do your own research before investing
64  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Tezos: A Self-Amending Crypto-Ledger on: July 07, 2018, 07:38:17 AM
how is this progressing guys? I have heard a lot of negative reviews lately, but given the nature of crypto community, I don't trust those comments. But I'm not a command panel guy, so I guess waiting for gui is the only way for me to find out
65  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: SLeepless nights doing bounty campaign is it worth it? on: July 07, 2018, 07:35:35 AM
I know that there are other members here working day and night doing bounty campaigns. But i think that doing bounty campaigns is not worth it especially if you had a lot of work during the day. Some are just boasting on their bounty campaign earning wherein fact maybe because they are lucky to receive those awards but somehow do not wish that you could be like them because some of the ICO project that you will going to work will not give bounty rewards and some of it will fail, or just pause. So no reason for sleeping late at night.

then enjoy your night sleep and don't you bother sharing your opinions here without relevant experience. Based on your message, I see you have never tried any bounty, yet you decided to start this thread. amazing
66  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin has no competition on: July 06, 2018, 09:31:50 AM
there are no competitors for bitcoin, with etm I agree! but for me personally, this is very bad! the whole market and all the crypto coins look at the rise or fall of bitcoin! it is because of this that other projects can not move forward! and with the fall of bitcoin, somebody even dropped to the deep bottom of the wall! we need competitors, if there are at least 5 competitors with a large capitalization, that's when the market will not pay attention to the cost of bitcoins! And all the other crypt coins and projects will start to develop faster!

yes, the days like that are coming. Ethereum is already getting there, we will see more currencies like that pretty soon. But it's not catastrophe even the situation we can see nowadays.
67  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Maybe BTC wont last because NO ONE really profits from it... on: July 06, 2018, 09:26:21 AM
I look at BTC as the greatest thing for our world.  We need digital currency.  It makes sense.   But,  we live in a world where we are driven by greed and profit.   So with that said....

If someone creates a ALT coin to compete with BTC for first place, I think eventually that ALT coin will get there.  Because at the end of the day, if that 'ALT COIN" makes enough money they can continuously push their "ALT COIN to surpass BTC.

I dont see anyone financially backing up BTC.
I see Bcash and their owners making deals.
I see Ripple making deals
I see pretty much everyone else making deals
And pretty soon those deals that these "ALT Coins" are making will eventually climb them into the #1 spot

PLus, people are shorting BTC all day long.  It sucks, because im the "buy during the dip" guy.

my opinions only.... im ready for the backlash

bitcoin is not supposed to make people millionaires. It's here to cut the centralized banking systems and bring the money back to the hands of regular people. Obviously you can't understand that
68  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you listen to analytics? on: July 03, 2018, 01:27:42 PM
not every analytics but some of them say rigth things when you read some analysis you should check before investing. some of analytics are cheater they want to promote own tokens.

the truth is that why would good analyst reveal the information if he could make the money on his own if he was so sure? Unless he's a real charity person, who also don't work in financial markets very often, there is something else behind it
69  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ⚛️ [ANN] Bitcoin Atom - Fork 1:1 of Bitcoin - Atomic Swap Powered ⚛️ on: July 03, 2018, 01:25:12 PM
Schedule and price now look very interesting and attractive price to buy coins. But the exchange, where there is a coin does not inspire confidence. Will the coin be added to new exchanges in the near future?

community paid for Vicex listing, which is a new exchange from Roger Ver I believe. Also dev team is in touch with major exchanges, let's hope we get some large listing soon enough
70  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How risky to invest in cryptocurrency? on: July 03, 2018, 01:22:31 PM
Determine the time for monitoring the market, I think at least 3 months, during this time you can imagine how to act on the crypto market and not go bankrupt.

I don't think that even 3 months are enough. If you were watching last three months, all you could see was a steady decline in prices. It's good to have the experience of sharp growths, declines and also stagnation.
71  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Monero a Good Investment? on: July 03, 2018, 01:21:32 PM
Yes in fact monero is one of the best altcoins nowadays in coinmarketcap.com rankings so basically if you are investing on this coins you will get you want in the near future especially if you know when to buy it and sell it at the same you should hold it also like what others did on their BTC holdings. Anyway if you are still longing to invest on it then go ahead there could really be no problem with monero.
Monero is a tested coin, the ever increasing number of users and the Monero community is certainly the most powerful indication that Monero is a very promising coin.

monero has been doing well so far. As long as the community keeps growing and remains with the core devs, there are only reasons to get better in terms of product and coin value either
72  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: an example of a year of signature's campaign on: July 03, 2018, 01:19:44 PM
Hi everyone,
i would like to share with you my experience of this year of signature's campaign.

I've decided to not sell the tokens i earn in 2018 before 2020.
Maybe i will use a different strategy with the token earned in 2019.

I will update this thread in the next months.

Until now, this is the situation:

token           start date    end date           n° token   initial values           current values        loss
livetree   08/01/2018    20/02/2018   8920,51   not listed anywhere   not listed anywhere   //
midex     20/02/2018    01/04/2018   7237,87   not listed anywhere   not listed anywhere   //
saifu            02/04/2018    22/04/2018   1383,576   not listed anywhere   not listed anywhere   //
xyo           23/04/2018    10/06/2018   628961   $4.701,48                   $1.459,82                -68,95%
jimbi           11/06/2018    running

until now it doesn't seem a good situation, but i really believe that in the next two years those projects will really grow up.

Salut!

edit: i'm sorry, i don't understand why the table is not formatted...

don't you worry, it's like that almost with every campaign. As long as you chose the good project, the value will surely reflect the product stage and adoption. Just hold to your tokens Smiley
73  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin will survive in "cashless society" ?? on: July 02, 2018, 10:31:02 AM
Being cashless for almost a year now, we were able to survive. Honestly, in my opinion its much more convinient no need to fall in line to an atm or bank to withdraw your money. All we do, is scan and transfer its so hassle free. Though you need to double protect your ewallet since its stored online. Alot of hackers are doing just anything to steal your funds so better be extra careful who you transact with.

extra online safety education needs to come with it. Bitcoin is an essential part of cashless society, it's a great option for people to fiat, I'm sure they will both exist hand by hand
74  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto currency in five years! on: July 02, 2018, 10:29:42 AM
It is really hard to predict bitcoin five years from now. This Cryptos movement is too quick for the economy to adopt. Only certain parts of the world will be using it daily. As for the USA I don't think it will replace credit cards. As for me, I'm all Cryptos. Would use it everyday since it acts like my saving account.

quick? no its not. cryptos adoption isnt quick for the economy to adopt because if it is quick then why there arent still countries that doesnt legalize bitcoin?
and also , bitcoin doesnt been used in most stores offline. bitcoin adoption is too slow because bitcoin did existed for over 9 long years but still few people are only aware with it.

Quote

of course bitcoin wont replace credit cards or anything , not only on usa but almost on all country. bitcoin is just happily used by people as an alternative to fiats and any other payment method.

cryptos in five years is still cryptos but i guess that their base value will rise because of the added adoption.

people can be very quick to adopt new technologies, recent years are showing for enormous progress. If it's taken care of slow transactions, high tax fees and regulations, people will embrace it fast
75  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin will kill itself on: July 02, 2018, 10:27:12 AM
We all know this, but could not deny the positive values that bitcoin brings. It's difficult for the Government or the Bank admitted. But the organizers as well as blockchain is the future.

Rightly said, we cannot leave medicines because of side effects. It is primary effect (or cure) that medicine provides that matters as it over weighs all the side effects. Same applies to crypto or bitcoins. People using it for illegal means is a problem and it needs to be strictly dealt with. This does not mean we should put an end to crypto.

he's just picking one problem which represents 1% of the whole network. Seems to be intentional fud to me. There are countries who banned it, but also countries that regulate it...
76  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Most Crypto investors are Cowards on: July 02, 2018, 10:24:17 AM
The answer is just simple, we all are cowards  Smiley. Everyone will like to wake up one day and find out that Btc has reached 50,000. All these people are scared to invest hugely in bitcoin but want to become  Crypto millionaire and Billionaire. You ask them why they are scared and they are like crypto is volatile and so on. This is the time to set the record straight make people realize what they are into. If you are scared then there is no need for you to join this amazing fraternity Smiley.

you're wrong, not everyone is. If you manage to get emotionally detached from the situation, by whatever means you choose, then you have no issues at all to make rational decisions.
77  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why we should not panic about the Bitcoin price. on: July 02, 2018, 10:23:22 AM
I took one step back this weekend and I spend some time, thinking of the reasons why we should not panic about the drop in the Bitcoin price and this is what I came up with, :

1.  The Bitcoin demand is still very strong and a lot of Merchants are still accepting it as a payment option. < I see more shops in my local area that started to accept Bitcoin >
2.  Bitcoin ATM installations are on the increase. < Also in Africa >
3.  Institutional capital has not even entered the market yet.
4.  The Lightning Network <Bitcoin's scaling solution> has not even been fully implemented yet.
5.  We are much stronger than we were last year. <Price wise>
6.  Facebook has reversed their decision to ban Crypto currency advertisements.
7.  Governments are not banning ICOs, but rather regulating it.
8.  Most long-term investors are still optimistic about the future of Crypto currencies.
9.  The Fiat system and the world economy is still struggling, so it is not just Crypto currencies.
10. We still see companies pushing innovation, by introducing new Apps & Games that supports Bitcoin.
11. The halving, the 50% reduction in block rewards on the Bitcoin blockchain, is only 2 years away. The reward for successful Bitcoin miners will drop from 12.5 to 6.25 BTC per block in May 2020.

So, looking at the positive list above, why should we panic? If you can think of more reasons why we should not panic, please post them here and I will add them to the list.

Let's focus on the positive things and forget about the dropping price. < Most of that is manipulation >   Grin

reasons like this are fine and nice, but the main reason why we shouldn't panic at all is because it's absolutely irrational and ridiculous. This is just the beginning of this stunning technology, of course the prices will grow
78  Economy / Speculation / Re: Those who sold bitcoin are in for a big loss on: July 02, 2018, 10:17:32 AM
I think it depends , maybe those people sold Bitcoin because they already have enough money that they want or they sold it because they are no longer to handle or manage it or they have some financial problems , but I think it depends on the situations .

it definitely does depend on the situation. Suppose if sell even with loss in btc, but you invest in a currency you consider more promising and it grows in price substantially, then you're in a great profit. So it really depends.
79  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Sell your altcoin and buys bitcoin pioneering says on: July 01, 2018, 08:13:36 AM
Start selling your altcoin and buy bitcoin says pioneering wall Street because bitcoin is very strong ,bitcoin is good for long term
And Bogart said that he will sell his all cardamom,Tron, iota and neo he would buy and hold Ethereum, ripple, bitcoin cash and EOC

if someone says something, it doesn't mean it's the truth. You should never blindly believe in other people. Have your own brain and opinion, make your own research and make the decisions accordingly.
80  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Real life usage of bitcoin on: July 01, 2018, 08:09:09 AM
What bitcoin is being used is useful? They are really good for us if there are many hotels and hotels accepting bitcoin or supermarket charges or bitcoin-paid fare is ours.

bitcoin is being accepted at some places, but you won't probably find it in supermarkets etc. Mostly it's the online shops where you can buy some tech, sooner or later it will be embraced more though
