One word... CATCOIN! Invest in CATs! I'm still waiting for Turtlecoin. The slow one always wins the race. Haha, turtlecoin is a great bad idea. Block target of 20 minutes, etc.

This is what I sent him, and what I believe.
Hello --
Wanted to break the ice, since I noticed you left some negative feedback for me due to have created dogecoin. I was hoping it could be removed, but it does not have to be if you believe it is a scam. I hope you can hear me out and I am hoping I can change your mind.
First of all hello, my name is Billy Markus, I'm an avid supporter of cryptocurrency and have been since I found out about it. In no way did I create dogecoin to compete with bitcoin or to make fun of bitcoin. I personally don't believe any altcoin is going to take over bitcoin, and I believe they are completely dependent on bitcoin for any of their value, so I don't believe dogecoin is in any way a threat. I created it because I wanted to make something that would make cryptocurrency appeal to a wider audience.
Dogecoin wasn't premined, and the altcoin scene right now is so bonkers right now -- you can see the circus that is the alternate cryptocurrency forum -- that the coin caught on extremely quickly, grew extremely quickly, and I actually believe is very well distributed. I'm not sure if that matters to you or not, but the coin had no scam intentions. The coin has grown far beyond anything I could have predicted -- in no way did I believe I could 'get rich' by throwing a doge meme on a coin. I do understand that a lot of the new people who have come from places where it is more acceptable to be obnoxious, and I apologize for that. I believe that will calm down, though it remains a bit of a circus right now.
The one way in which I believe altcoins support bitcoin, though, is that they allow newbies to 'dip their toe' in cryptocurrency and become involved in the community. In that way, dogecoin has been very successful. The amount of new people who were never interested in cryptocurrency before and are now into it from mining dogecoin is a very high number. Therefore I believe dogecoin is good for bitcoin in the long run, and I believe that having this dogecoin user listed as a scammer will scare away newbies from cryptocurrency. I think this would be a missed opportunity to get more people into cryptocurrency, which I believe is good for bitcoin in the long run.
I hope you will consider removing the scammer tag from this id. Thank you for hearing me out.

PM him. It's possible that if you provide a reasoned explanation of why Dogecoin isn't pre-mined or at least engage him in a civil manner he'll reconsider. I don't find 4chan or SA members usually very civil, however, so I'd be VERY impressed if this trust rating could be removed.
Well, I'll give it a shot.

not a single one of you answered my question.
instead you offered up some trite anecdote about 'never using an online wallet'. Fact is, people use web wallets and will continue to.
Who is responsible for this?
Can anyone even name a single person behind Dogecoin? I named two. Jackson Palmer and Billy Markus. If the prize is doge then don't bother thanks. neither of us had anything to do with dogewallet. to my knowledge, no one knows who was behind dogewallet in the first place -- http://www.reddit.com/r/dogecoin/comments/1toxc4/psa_dogewalletcom_was_a_scam_not_a_hack/

Looks like OP owner dislikes me. He is not listing my P2pool nodes... a seed nodes... Some pools listed in OP are dead... wow http://doge.gotgeeks.com:9555http://doge.dtdns.net:9555Both 1% fee, location: EU Use DOGE address as username and anything as password cgminer --scrypt -Q 0 -o doge.gotgeeks.com:9555 -u D00ge -p wow -o doge.dtdns.net:9555 -u D00ge -p wow
This way if one fails (restart or anything) you will still mine on another node. I added them. Please PM me if you want stuff added. I can't keep up with everything.

Where do the transaction fee's from the wallet go?
also who sent me 0.529 and why?
Transaction fees are added to the block reward. When bitcoin/other coins mine out, the expectation that miners will continue to mine to get the transaction fee reward.

It appears that the user "Chaang Noi (Goat) ช้างน้อย" has left a negative trust score without any actual trades taking place, purely out of malice.
Is there a way to get this cleared up?

Folks, please update your clients to v1.3 as soon as possible.
This will raise the transaction fees to 1 coin, generally. Sends under .01 coins will also no longer be recognized by the blockchain.

|
|
LOL! Linux? git pull make That all (Jackson here) I'm tired and my brain isn't functioning properly hahaha. Still, OSX binaries would be appreciated.
|
|
|
The 1.3 update is mandatory, please make sure you update. Windows release can be downloaded at: https://github.com/dogecoin/dogecoin/releases/download/v1.3/dogecoin-qt-v13-Win.zipTo address dust issues / microtransaction attacks, a minimum transaction size of Ð1 has been introduced to prevent spamming and dust gathering on the blockchain, and a transaction fee of Ð2 applied for transactions under this amount. A Ð1 transaction fee will apply for all other transactions. Issues may be experienced if you do not update. Pool owners, please update to the latest dogecoind ASAP.If anyone can compile to OS X and share here, it would be greatly appreciated. Github repo @ https://github.com/dogecoin/dogecoinThanks all!

Of all the recent coins we've seen, at least this one isn't too far fetched.
it should be named fork coin

Managed to buy 12 million back in the 80s and early 90s, and still have 5.5 million coins mined. Will buy more if the price drops below 80 again. Also removed all sell orders , going long term with this coin now. At least 3 months Haha for a second I thought you meant the 1980's and 1990's

Well, as much as I don't want catcoin advertisements in my own thread, I really don't want 100 more "cat" coins, and I don't think anyone else does either.
So, I declare catcoin the winner and official rival of dogecoin or whatever. Alright, lets move on xD

Everybody can settle down about dogecoin.org - it was never officially affiliated with us and now a troller has bought it from the original owner. dogecoin.com is the official website
