Are you saying that stadiums, through their audio systems, imitate crowd and cheer sounds? Like fake applause during tv shows and laughter during comedian tv-series? Never though about that. Why would then even do that? If pro athletes can not perform well without motivation from the crowd, they should be kicked out. The crowd should not be manipulated by that also. When I watch sports event live, I am already involved in that. I dont want to be forced to shout or show other emotions, because "the rest of the crowd to that" by themselves or by fake sound.
I quite understand when such a soundtrack is used during the coronavirus when the stadium is empty, but the use of such a soundtrack on a permanent basis really raises questions. Anyone who has been to a stadium at least once knows the sound of football fans shouting and the real cheering of the crowd. Emotions received by spectators due to the cheering of fans can not be replaced in full measure, so I think that such sound accompaniment makes little sense and it rather makes watching matches not very comfortable.
