At what point does it move from advertisement to blatant scam attempt?
A post with contact details and a bunch of hardware way below market pricing clearly trying to lure in people who don't know better.

Tired been cutting trees, pulling roots and stumps. laying weed block and a gravel bed with 4x4 pressure treated wood border. I am prepping for a nice shed so the gravel bed needs to be ready asap. I did everything except cut the really big trees. I simply could not hire help. So I am going to be too sore to finish moving the gravel tomorrow. I will clean and test the three units tomorrow. Easy work I can do on the bench. We can cut the deal then, as I want to be sure it is all good before I shop it to you. Sounds good. Around where are you located? Too much humidity where I am to be outside working that long in this heat! A bit North of you Howell, New Jersey. Yeah I can work from 2pm to 7pm as it is in shade. I tested 1 unit it is working fine. I should have this all ready by 6-8 tonight. Okay picked up the 'good' mini L3 these are 1/2 power of a L3+. they do about 225-260 mh. Very Nice gear and quiet. they burn 400 watts a good space heater. So I have 1 good one and on that is not so good. see screen shots above. I sold more L3+ hashboards on Ebay So I only have 4 full L3+ miners with ant miner apw+ psu left. this ebay seller wants 1130 with an best offer option and a psu free shipping https://www.ebay.com/itm/174838991973?this seller wants 1000 with a best offer option and no psu 55 to ship https://www.ebay.com/itm/324726663664?I would beat either one over 800 under 999 for one with psu.......... make an offer for it over 700 under 899 for one with no psu....... make an offer for it. I may be in the wrong here, but I reported this post as spam because it's realistically an advertisement that's pretending to be a post here.
A post with essentially a faux inventory list and repeated mentions to external contact methods moves this into the advertisement realm for me.
If the OP included pricing, information on escrow / payment handling, or where the devices are listed I would view this differently.
I'd be interested to hear what other members think.
Eth Mark, you should at the least attempt to prove your legitimacy here.
Edit: To be more clear, I get that anyone posting here is "advertising". But a business dumping data and moving on is different.

It's highly unfortunate that you concluded base on your opinion that this seller is a scam without proper investigation ,i am highly disappointing in (ncsupanda) but not surprise, he did not tell the forum our conversation on Telegram ,this assumption is total blackmailing , this guy told me that he is going to use escrow for payment and his going to release the money after receive and test which i agreed and i told him that i don't have money to pay DHL he should do the shipping from US and i agreed to sent my location but he refused to do so and ask me to do the reverse
I got shipping cost from DHL $770 for three miner and psu .Unfortunate .
We never spoke on Telegram to my knowledge; you asked for my contact info then stopped responding. What you are describing is how escrow works. You would have to put up the money for shipping them first, with the knowledge that the cost of the device + shipping is being held in escrow by a reliable third party. It's a sad scam attempt, but don't try to drag my name through the mud. Cheers. |
