Seems there are a lot of idiots talking here, and they don't even understand shit about crypto currency.

Judging by their reaction to those VERY GOOD NEWS, seems they are blindly investing money into something that they don't understand even remotely.

FFS ppl, stop asking stupid and retarded questions, and stop crying..."uuuu...dev, you should ask the community (which ofc don't understand a shit about crypto currency), before planing such "hard to understand" thing (good things)...

Please, start to read a bit before asking stupid questions...

You are one pathetic human being.

You are the pathetic human beings, doing things without understanding shit...

You think like a child. Anyone who has a different opinion from your own is an idiot and stupid.  Roll Eyes

Now fuck off.

First of all, Its not about opinions here...
And yes, anybody who talks shit before trying to understand what he is talking about can be called an idiot, ignorant and stupid person...

Dude, you sound like the king of all these anybodys.

I have been following the Fibonacci thread for a long time and i have to say that i didn t like the way Fibonacci , i.e. Jasinlee, was communicating with his customers. I hope his "take it or leave it" style will not have any influence on the way XC team is communicating with its community. It s just not professional. These new developements with Cache are a little bit dubios in the light of the large loss of value Cache has taken and the fact that Fibonacci accepted them as payment for their products. Cache has so much to win from this fusion maybe it is even vital for Fibonacci. I d like to understand what is on the winning side for XC and its supporters. So far, it feels like it s "take it or leave it" time for XC, a lot of stuff happening with the XC crowd standing outside waiting for answers. To me, XC felt better a week ago.

I have been running an xnode for two days now, but until now nothing has happened. I configured everything like it was told in the HowTo and in the forum. Could it be because there are so few people using mixer? Xnode running fine for anyone?

Perl++ s manner is not acceptable and harming the community. His posts are in no way contributing to the thread but only sowing discord. Furthermore it s obvious this account was just made for this purpose. I really urge the moderator to not provide this guy a voice anymore since it is absolutely corrupted.

Affirmative! But we could already start collecting. that would be a nice teaser. Smiley

Team, please setup an official donation adress for the bounty that will be paid to anyone finding the sender adress. I think, we should make it much more than 1 BTC to attract more ppl with the potential to crack it. I guess there are a lot of people willing to donate including me.
67  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][XC][OFFICIAL] X11/PoS/Privacy on: June 11, 2014, 11:34:41 AM
It might be the pumpers that already set up there 2,5k sell walls starting shortly after 160k. Take care. Hope the drop won t be that rude...
Actually i hope it s just some random large bagholder selling off and not the pumpers.

...don't think there is an outstanding design in the submissions.

+1. I don't think it's a good idea to design a logo without first creating a brand identity and narrative.

its 2014 only way to make a logo is make a bounty and whack it up at http://99designs.com/
get the professionals to compete...

i think solid and cryptodruti are at 99designs level, they just haven't put it in 3d or iron or something. but the arrangement is great

Guys, is this not a cart-before-the-horse scenario? Getting a logo hastily and without a cohesive brand strategy will just come across as patchy and unprofessional.

don't overthink this, its a cryptocurrency with a bad logo and it needs a nice new one , thats it, the  brandof xc is beeing best in fundamentals and beeing visionary in new features imo, the logo just needs to look cool in webshops, ranking sites and merch. and it just needs to be up to standard

I'm all for a bare-bones approach. Totally. What I mean though is that the role of branding, PR etc. is to clearly communicate the fundamentals. I'm sure you'd agree that they've been mostly obscured by FUD lately. We need good communication, and it's not hard to do properly. (In fact I've suggested to the Dev that I take it on.)

Check my posts, me and some other guys have been begging for a professional approach to the brand identity so many times. I just gave up. I m holding because of dev, but the PR has been a total desaster and there is no willing to change it so far. It s just sad to see such great developement with such a shoddy marketing. Hope that changes soon. There is no real winner in this logocontest for me too.

The reason I am aggressive is because seriously, you have a hundred kids here who have probably never worked a real job in their entire lives, still live with their parents, and they are arguing that someone who is extremely accomplished should answer to them just because they speculated on a project if his.

Anyways, you seem to think your an investor? Your not, no one here is. Until an IPO is launched, we are all speculators riding a project he is creating. So the whole boardroom argument goes out the window. We don't pay his wages, we don't own a share in a holding company he is employed by, no money was raised to fund this project, he is working for free. And as such, we are not investors anymore than me buying EURO's give me a say in what happens in European Parliament.

Anyways, If we want to speculate on the success of that project that is our right, but thinking this has any relation to the real world business hierarchy is beyond nieve. We are not investors, we are speculators. As I said before, until we pay him personally, or buy a share in a holding company that owns the rights to his development, we have zero rights, and people need to seriously start respecting that.

I frankly am tired of all this shit, I'm not saying your one of those kids, but they are everywhere. BTT has turned into an absolute joke

+1. losers are keeping pressure on devs, who is working hard to make a real deal soon.

Kids - adults, FUDers - supporters, losers - winners, dump or stfu. I wonder if you guys realize that u just sound like our politicians: Putting everything in white and black so it s not getting too complicated for people and easy to fight off criticism. You are behaving just like them... bitter irony at its best.
71  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][XC][OFFICIAL] >> Mandatory Wallet Update (01/06) - X11/PoS/Anon on: June 04, 2014, 08:22:15 AM

You make some fair points, although in a pretty unnecessarily aggressive manner.

However you miss something important. The value of a coin is based on market confidence, market confidence generates buy orders, market fear generates sell orders, and these affect the value of the coin. Owning coins is more akin to owning shares than buying Euros, as someone who owns a lot of coins you are similar to a major shareholder.

When the major shareholders get nervous they unload their investment and the price tanks. The actions of the board (see dev) are a lot to do with what instills confidence in the market.

I am sitting back, I am relaxed, I haven't unloaded anything other than a small amount of my XC and I don't intend to.. but the attitude of who are we to ask questions of the dev is not one I support, questions will be asked and the answers, or lack of, will affect market confidence. I think ATCSecure has done a great job on the whole, and no one is perfect. I do wish he had been able to put this one to bed a long time ago though.
+1 Let s keep it clean, a superior dev and product don t need to hide behind glorification.
72  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][XC][OFFICIAL] >> Mandatory Wallet Update (01/06) - X11/PoS/Anon on: June 04, 2014, 08:16:10 AM
Seriously no one can explain to me why XC dev gave bitcoin to loljosh?

You know why.

You know why when there is 12 minute block times.

Seriously, ATCSecure hired him to do some of the leg work. It would make sense that arguably the best dev in the alt currency world wouldn't want to waste his time building the base when he needs to focus on the much more technical stuff. No doubt he has vetted it all and it's all fine. Now he's focusing on making this the most anonymous cryptocurrency.

Nothing shows fear more than bashing the competition.

Please, for the love of god, look at his CV. If you think someone like that lets loljosh near anything apart from the basics you have no idea how these people think. You don't get to where he has by paying other people to do the advanced stuff, you build that yourself.

When you guys have world firsts in technology development and worked for companies such as IBM, come discredit his way of doing things then.

loljosh's code underpins the entire coin - would you try and put a ferrari engine in a shitbox. No because the chassis, brakes, suspension would not be able to cope.

You want quality - you start with quality. Doesnt matter what whiz bang features the dev promises.

Bullshit. When you've worked in a string of Fortune 500 companies you'd understand. Aslong as the basics are there, people don't waste there time on shit like that, it's not worth their time. Loljosh's coding skills are excellent, and have been proven many and many times over. Arguing his coding is shit is absolute crap.

Gotta hand it to you Mike, you do make sense

Well I've been fortunate enough to work with people with CV's like ATCSecure's and trust me, you don't fucking argue with how they do things. People like that are the sort that build magic that revolutionises industries, you give them space and let them do what they do best. You start pegging them down with useless bullshit like building base code and your wasting their talent.
I understand your point and you are right about the hierarchy that is needed to be innovative and the fastest but the way you are going leads to an ensuing loss of power of judgement for the people following the dev and for new investors. As you have been around in cryptoworld for quite some time i guess you should know better about the transparency needs of every new coin coming up. It s essential no matter what genius created it.

Fuck transparency. Seriously. Who are we to argue about the details?

Until anyone here knows even one tenth of what a person like that knows, they sit back and relax, and enjoy the fact people like this are working on a project like this. You name one other Dev in the crypto world apart from statoshi himself who has the credentials he does?

You don't argue, you don't bicker, you sit back and relax. I couldn't care what he's done, all I look at is the results he is producing, and time after time he has delivered. In less than a month he has done what took darkcoin five, and trust me, in a months time this crypto will look nothing like the rest.

Sit back and relax. You don't argue with your CEO and you definitely don't need to know what he's doing when he produces results after results.

who are we to argue about the details?

The investors who spent money to allow the coin to grow, that's who.

That's your problem. You think you are an investor. Your not. Your a free rider on someone else's project. If you want to put money into this that's your choice, why should he give a fuck about your opinion? Your not paying his wage, he's paying his own by developing a project, and people like us decide this project is worthwhile to buy coins.

Seriously, you need to get off your high horse. Your not an investor anymore than me buying EURO's gives me a say in what goes on European Parliament.
You must be sitting on the highest horse out of us all to see so clearly. Actually your post are the ones being most dismissive. I still think it s the best way to stay transparent. Of course that doesn t mean you are not allowed to build your personal high altar for the dev. Just don t preach it that aggressively. Thx.

+1. That's a pragmatic outlook; those who lack it most likely allow FUD to compound itself in their minds until they see all manner of scary possibilities in an obvious side-issue that can have no bearing on the value of XC's dev.

Secondly, the dev has responded already. Why press him for another response? It would be more reasonable to stop being afraid of the dark and just enjoy the quality of the dev's work.

Then for the sake of clarification, post the link to his answer. Some people just can t 24/7 monitor this thread.
74  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][XC][OFFICIAL] >> Mandatory Wallet Update (01/06) - X11/PoS/Anon on: June 04, 2014, 07:58:25 AM
I haven't sold any coins. I'm holding.

then you may want to check the previous thread of XC coin, and you will find the answer.

XC dev is a capable and respectable guy.

The question has never been answered.

Why did ATCsecure leave loljosh feedback for 0.7 BTC risked?

if it has been answered tell me.

I don't care personally if loljosh did some development for him, no man is an island,  but it will just keep coming back until answered.

Unfortunately those with bad intentions would use the truth (if it is the truth) to attack the coin so ATCSecure is caught in a no win situation now.
Transparency is always the lesser of two evils. We will handle the FUD storm, i even guess it will be weak and short. It s not good that this question became so important because it was not answered right away. That is something which should avoided in the future.

Stop trying to reason with these guys. Its like trying to teach a fish how to count.  use that magical "ignore" button and you wont have to read their crap anymore.

I'm not trying to reason with them. It's the most logical decision. It's what I'd do in his place. Why the fuck would I spend 6 months researching something when I can get someone else to do it for me? People like that don't waste their time implementing basics, they pay other people to do it for them.
Droberts question is justified. When we changed to this moderated forum we agreed that critical questions have to be answered. What i see right now is not what we agreed on. The more DRobert insists the more he is accused of FUDing. That s not the right way as it is clearly a relevant question for some people what works were outsourced. I couldn t care less if the dev outsourced the basic works but he should communicate it to avoid uncertainty by bringing transparency. Shouldn t be a big deal but it didn t happen. Hope dev will answer this question just to put this matter to bed.

I got a strange issue after the new update.

I got the new wallet, conf, and it's perfectly synced BUT i am missing coins now.

Looks like my oldest deposit is not showing in my balance?

Here are the screenshots:

try rebuilding.
Why are you getting paid with such a low number of coins, but others with thousends or tenthousends of coins in the wallet get none even after one week...i don t get it.

Where do you see him getting paid for staking?
I thought the crossed hammers symbolize income from POS. EDIT or income from solomining which shouldn t be the case here. (?)

Are there any benefits already for running xnodes?

Potential benefits currently include the fee's received and helping fine-tune the code logic

Is there any statement on how high these fees are? Sorry if i missed it. Because one has to calculate if it s more worth to run xnodes or just keep POS.
