61  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: How bad is other altcoin value on: February 13, 2019, 05:29:49 PM
Critically observing the rate at which bitcoin value is low at this time, I now imagined how low other altcoin will be by now, even with bitcoins superiority. What is your view?

Price of Altcoins mainly depends on BTC and this trend will continue in 2019 also. Since the price of BTC itself is very much down, same pattern is followed by altcoins. There are only few altcoins that have the potential to go up, rest majority are useless coins.
62  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What if the bull run started and ended in one night? on: February 13, 2019, 05:15:54 PM
I know it is basically impossible but what if, while you slept the bull run commenced and the price of Bitcoin climbs to $50k and then goes back to $3k just as you wake up. Then you see the charts for confirmation of what went down while you slumbered. What will you do by then? I want to hear your thoughts on this.  Grin

I don't think BTC will climb to 50k and came back to 3k in one night. But there are runs like we saw last week when BTC jumped 3400 USD to 3700 USD in short span of time and is now steadily coming back. Such runs are very common with BTC.
63  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: 🔥🔥🔥🔥 [ANN] TowerX.co : A crypto currency exchange by TowerBee (TBE) 🔥🔥🔥🔥 on: February 12, 2019, 05:41:00 PM
We recently concluded our ICO and we are moving forward by focusing on further development of TowerX exchange. We invite all projects to our exchange for listing by community voting process.

Can you please share the statistics of your ICO?

We are seeing too many crypto exchanges coming up every month. How is TowerX unique among all these new exchanges or is it just the same.
64  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Time to buy? on: February 12, 2019, 04:40:22 PM
Do you think it's time to buy tokens now? the market seems quite low now, or should wait?

It's far better to buy a wonderful company at a fair price than a fair company at a wonderful price - Warren Buffett
Today's price of BTC and Altcoins are really attractive, risk involved at current investment is also very low. Rest decision is up to you.
65  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to distinguish between good and bad projects on: February 12, 2019, 04:19:59 PM
How can you quickly distinguish between good and bad projects and even being invincible in the bear market?

This is one of the most common and yet very difficult to answer question in the cryptocurrency world. You have to do some rigorous search like going through the whitepaper, seeing the team behind the project, token structure, project idea (whether its feasible) etc.

68  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] ICO ⚡🚀🔥🔥 ✅ RowanCoin ✅ RWN Token ✅ ROWANCOIN ICO ⚡🚀🔥🔥 on: February 10, 2019, 06:55:18 PM
As far as I know soft cap means minimum amount of funds raised for project to start. If soft cap is not reached, investors (can) receive their money back. But you say that the project will continue anyway, even if soft cap is not reached. What is the purpose of soft cap then?
Anyway, idea is interesting, in my opinion the important part of Rowan Coin is free distribution to environmentally conscious people as reward, and not so much the fundraising part, so I don't understand why you need minimum $500,000.
69  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will 2019 be the year of Altcoins ? on: February 10, 2019, 09:47:14 AM
The Alt coins are still tightly bonded with BTC and rise and fall of BTC value controls the price of Alt Coins. In my view, same will happen this year and we see a hike in the price of Alt Coins only if BTC price is gowing up. Crypto market also needs to get rid of hundreds of useless coins that have nothing behind them but still capturing huge capital of market. As investor you have to see which alt coins have the potential to rise and such coins are not many in number right now. Shit coins are cheap in value and attract new investors that want profit on there little investment.
70  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why do you have to take risks. on: February 10, 2019, 09:29:28 AM
It's a famous saying "Take risks, either you will win or you will learn". Risks are more involved in the unregulated cryptocurrency market as compared to regulated markets like Equity trading. In regulated markets, we have market analysis tools (like charts) that work very well most of the time. There are ICOs that give so much return to there investors like Ethereum and filecoin, on the other hand, there were ICOs that stoled investors money and never appeared again New Study Says 80 Percent of ICOs Conducted in 2017 Were Scams. So risk is the biggest factor that you have to swallow while investing money in cryptocurrency.

I do agree with above opinion. Giants like Airbnb, TripAdvisor etc do have there own censorship policies that are a big hurdle in bringing transparency.
72  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: One year celebration of my prediction!!! on: February 08, 2019, 07:17:32 AM
Markets always take correction after too much hike in prices and same happen with cryptocurrency. Correction was suppose to take place after massive hike that took place towards the end of 2017. But no one can predict how market will behave in coming days, it's all speculation.
73  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum Price Analysis on: February 08, 2019, 06:38:01 AM
Firstly, in the last Bitcoin fall it was impossible to get out of the injury. Ethereum is one of them, the price has reached an unexpected point. All I know is that '' constantinople '' hard fork has been extended to this month, maybe it can help a little price increase. Otherwise, if Bitcoin doesn't recover, it will be difficult to see a steady increase in others.
I think Hardfork is not the key to increasing prices, to be able to raise ethereum prices at least bitcoin prices should be able to rise first because the price of ethereum movements follows the price movements of bitcoin.
Not only ethereum but price of almost all Alt coins depends how BTC is performing and with current declining price of BTC it seems inevitable that ethereum price will further go down.
And it's good time to add ethereum in your portfolio, as its price is very attractive.
I can not disagree. And I am sure that for those who have long wanted to invest and did not decide how, now is the time to start doing it. But in small batches.
It's a famous quote from Warren Buffett
Quote
As an investor, it is wise to be Fearful when others are greedy and greedy when others are fearful
Those who foresee the future should take advantage of this decline in price.

75  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Tired of seeing the “Satoshi” value of my portfolio drop. on: February 07, 2019, 04:15:40 PM

Any thoughts on this? I bought 100 NEO at $14 saw it go to $200 than down to $8.

Whenever you buy any crypto, set a target value at which you will sell it. As none of us know exactly what maximum price that crypto will reach. HODLing a Cryptocurrency for an indefinite period of time is not good especially when it's at ATH. Buy at Dip and Sell when its high.
76  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Excessive confidence in cryptocurrency trading. on: February 07, 2019, 03:29:07 PM
Over confidence is never good in anything, not just trading. Cryptocurrencies market is not as easily predictable as other markets—no matter how bold you are, you will get flipped in fast fluctuations. Being confident, patient and calm is great for trading in general. Panicking and fear trading is the fastest way to lose your money.

And making profits in a highly speculative crypto market is also not easy, one may lose a major portion of his investment in one market swing. I would suggest to be sensible and patient while you invest, never be overconfident nor panick.
77  Economy / Speculation / Re: Can any analysis predict btc price for the next month? on: February 07, 2019, 03:08:12 PM
The current situation has caused me to hold huge sum of money that I intended putting into btc and altcoins. I know once btc jump, altcoins does same.
So the question is can anyone predict the price of btc for the next month? To enable me invest...

It's not possible for anyone to predict how BTC will behave in next week or month. Asking this from others on this forum is also not a wise thing. If you read this thread some said BTC will cross 12k in next month but it never actually happened. If you have money, DYOR before investing in any Cryptocurrency. As nobody will share your profit nor loss.
78  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I wanted to know if there is a hodler right here? on: February 07, 2019, 02:52:48 PM
surely there's many people being a hodler here during this bearish market, but as for being a hodler from 2017 till now was not a wise decision. the end of 2017 was an ATH that will surely hard to achieve again in this year.

That's true. Dec 2017 saw the ATH of BTC (around 19000 USD) along with many other ALT coins. Those who have bought CC by mid of 2017 should have sold their holdings by Dec 2017 for maximum returns.
79  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will the ETH reach $300 end of 2018? on: February 06, 2019, 03:56:00 PM
ETH is showing positive signs.
Will the ETH reach $300 end of 2018??
I've lost a lot of money, so when ETH signs of increased I comfort myself.

The time you posted this question Ethereum was going really good but it only manages to raise up to 150 USD. Ethereum is still the most undervalue cryptocurrency in my opinion and will surely surpass 300 USD, just HODL.
80  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Short-term or long-term investment? on: February 06, 2019, 03:44:35 PM
I want to invest with $ 2000, and I will choose 5 altcoins. Maybe one of them is Cardano. Is the short term more likely to gain profit or vice versa with the long term? Thank you.

Be it a stock market, cryptocurrency or any other market, investment is beneficial only if it is done for a long period of time. Never buy at one single rate rather buy in chunks and its good to have a diverse portfolio that has many cryptocurrencies in it.
