61  Economy / Reputation / Re: NicNacCoin account has been sold on: June 04, 2023, 02:05:13 PM

@NicNacCoin, Do you have anything to share that proves you are the owner of this account from the beginning? Such as Wallet address or other things proving you are the owner?
See I as a Bangladeshi did not work as any investor share in the project. I just worked for them as a community member and so to speak I worked for free. When the project became completely worthless I kept the account to myself to work on the bitcoin forum as a community member of the project, basically to earn some bitcoins, this required me to change the password because all community members had access to the account.

I was an insignificant community member only not given access to any address or wallet to exchange any project dollars or bitcoins. Because I wasn't on their core team, I was just an insignificant community member and as a creator of this account gave me little responsibility in the community at the time.

I don't think anyone is going to believe you after this statement. You said you were one of the core members of the NicNacCoin team. Indeed, everyone from the team does not have access to the wallet. Three wallet addresses were posted in the forum from this account in 2017 and 2018. This is reasonable that you might not have access to those wallets. But the other excuse you're provided doesn't seem reasonable to me. You just said you were working for them for free?

Did you say your role was a community member / AKA Social media manager or similar position? Do you think any project will hire a community manager who is not fluent in English? The community manager is supposed to communicate with everyone, and they must be good at English. As you said, other team members can access the account; I was giving you the benefit of the doubt. So, you had to change the password once the project was declared dead. I know some projects hire team members with broken English if they have some special skills. But, A community manager or Social media manager or you name it position cannot be given to someone who is not fluent in English.
62  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: topman21 scam my 40$ help me on: June 04, 2023, 01:50:53 PM
He is very suspicious. Besides he didn't want "big money" back, he made all this show first which looks very strange. If we'll look at the transaction he provided for proof of the payment it is a payment from an exchange account (what is clear from the screens as well), so we can't trace his own address. If we'll look at the chat correspondence we can see that he asked to refund his money not giving an address — to where did he want to get a refund? To an exchange address? Looks like a staging. And when he finally gave his address here for a refund we see that it is a totally new address not to be traced.
Yes, he is. Look at his posts. Do you believe he is a newbie in this forum? Someone is a newbie who wants to buy a Forum account from Topman21, which has been inactive for almost two months. I am curious how OP knows that Topman21 was selling a Full member account when Topman did not create any sell thread. Topman was not in the forum for the last two months; how did you get his telegram account? Let's say you got his telegram from his bounty post. @OP, How did you know he is selling a full member account? Don't tell fairy tales!
Looking forward to hearing from you.

Moreover, You said $40 is big money for you. When Yahoo suggested, you give your Bitcoin Wallet and get the money from LDL. You denied it and said you don't want the money back until this is solved. What was the issue here? The issue was someone scammed you for $40. Now it is found that $40 is in LDL's wallet. If you were a real victim, you should be more than happy that you are getting back your Big Money! If you get the money back, the issues should have been resolved. But, it seems this wasn't the primary purpose. Or was it?
63  Economy / Reputation / Re: NicNacCoin account has been sold on: June 04, 2023, 01:23:34 PM
Now I ask you, the community: which do you think is more likely, that the account was handed over to someone who writes worse English or that NicNacCoin suffered a brain injury in 2017 so severe that when he recovered in 2021 he began writing posts like a typical shitposting bounty hunter? I'd like to hear NicNacCoin's take on that.
Hey, The Sceptical Chymist, I am not here to support NicNacCoin. I am not saying whether I believe his story. But look at the point he shared.

But as I create this bitcoin account, I take ownership of it later. And feel the need to change password/email for security of my account. The main reason behind this is that I had access rights for multiple members of this account and everyone could publish announcements from this account.
According to him, other team members had access to this BitcoinTalk account, and they might be used the account. So, could it be possible that The posts you shared were made by one of his team members? Nah? I am not sure. But there are possibilities! Do you think the evidence is strong enough to conclude that the account was sold/hacked? Usually, you take time and look for solid evidence to tag someone. I mean, that's how I see you so far.

@NicNacCoin, Do you have anything to share that proves you are the owner of this account from the beginning? Such as Wallet address or other things proving you are the owner?
64  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: topman21 scam my 40$ help me on: June 03, 2023, 09:44:50 AM
What's happening in the forum? Every day you wake up and see new drama on the reputation board. We end up fighting each other and criticizing others for their opinion. At first, It looked like LDL was guilty of doing something. There is no proof that Topman is LDL. I am curious how OP contacted Topman. How did you find his telegram? Did you give them his telegram handle in the forum PM? If so, Share a screenshot, please. I have some questions.

1- Why will someone nearly a Hero member rank scam someone for $40?
2- The address topman telegram account gave to OP was publicly posted in the forum. If it was LDL, Why would he give the same address to an account buyer? I guess he spent enough time in the forum to know that anyone can search for the address and check if this address was used in this forum. It's easy to find the address owner through Ninjastic.

40$ is very big amount for me.

Op said $40 is a big amount for him. But, When LDL offered him back his money, He denied it and started asking questions.

I will not take the money back now. Until we get a clear solution to this problem. I have some personal questions

Huh? It's a big amount and now you don't want the money back until someone ruin his account. What was the purpose of creating this thread? To get your money back? Or something else? looks like he was ready to accuse LDL and waiting for someone to figure out this is LDL's Address. How does a newbie with one activity before this thread know where to create a thread and not make any mistake quoting everyone perfectly? He might be sharp-brained and understand everything very well.

I feel OP is part of the scamming group and trying to ruin someone's account.

I hope I am wrong.
65  Economy / Reputation / Re: Did NicNacCoin account get sold or hack? on: June 03, 2023, 09:16:06 AM
This account is a official account of NicNacCoin project was a USA project. according to nicnaccoin Twitter page Nicnac company is from San Diego, SA which is a place of USA. check the Twitter page - https://twitter.com/nicnaccoin
But now Nicnaccoin posting on Bengali local board for exchange merit to each other alt account.
https://ninjastic.space/search?author=NicNacCoin&board=11
So you are saying someone must be from the same country to work on some remote project? I don't think theymos is from the same country as Satoshi, Cyrus, or other ex-admins and moderators. Anyone can be from any country and work on a remote project if they have skills. You should know why some projects hire team members from 3rd world countries. You can pay them way less compared to those who live in US or Canada. I am not here to say whether this account was bought/hacked or not. But, your point makes a little sense to no sense.

I don't want to say anything about changed hands or not. I have seen many accounts hanging around, and it looks like those accounts were bought or hacked. But until you have some solid proof, You shouldn't accuse someone of doing wrong. Let's say someone is innocent, and I accused him of doing something just because I suspected him. If someone tags him, but he is innocent, I am the one to blame for the damage. This is just a bit of friendly advice and opinion.
66  Other / Meta / Re: Finally! Satoshi Nak-AI-moto told me why he handed over the forum to Theymos on: June 03, 2023, 05:17:11 AM
~Snip~
The first line of the answer was, "I handed over the Bitcointalk forum to theymos because I wanted the community to take control of Bitcoin" Cool. Well, Bitcoin has nothing to do with the Forum. The Forum was created to discuss Bitcoin. Every forum user is not Bitcoiner. I do believe there are a lot of users who do not own Bitcoin. Some of them are altcoiners, and some are no coiners! The forum community cannot control Bitcoin. It's created to be decentralized and will remain the same even if this community doesn't exist anymore or theymos decide to shut down the forum. Bitcoin will remain decentralized. Is it enough explanation to back my claim that Bitcoin Decentralization has nothing to do with the BitcoinTalk.org community?

I feel suddenly every user here is getting obsessed with AI. Either we are trying to detect AI content or we are using AI to create a topic based on our expectation & experience with it. I mean there are other things to discuss why only AI? I understand that the AI trend is here to stay but how can someone compare an AI bot with a human mind is out of my understanding.
This is the craze AI Created these days. Content creators started relying on AI, and they teach others how to use AI and how their life can be easier. Just imagine someone becoming a Web developer using AI and building a website. Now, when he needs to change something and check the code, he doesn't know where to check or understand what to do.

I am afraid of AI.
Elon Musk talked about this day which we are seeing now. He has a dedicated Video titled "I Tried To Warn You" - Elon Musk LAST WARNING (2023) in His Youtube channel. I don't know if I like him personally. But, I agree with him on many things. At least he doesn't talk shit.

In that case, I would like to add an additional 5 mBTC to the prize pool (on behalf of MixTum).
I am a bit curious. Does it mean the 5mBTC will add to the prize pool next year? Or do you mean this year?

However, I am forced to withdraw the prize provided by MixTum.   Tongue
I Just Noticed this one.

Same here @John Abraham
The submission and Image for @Gaza13's pizza entry are incorrect
Correct submission link: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5247383.msg62327719#msg62327719
Thanks for finding this mistake. I understand why it's happened. At first, I did not check double entries. When I submitted them on the Discord server, and there was a mismatch, I had to double-check the entries. Then I noticed Zainmalik75 submitted his pizza twice, which was not the same. That means he made two pizzas and decided to post two times. According to the rules, A user can participate once. If someone makes more than one pizza, they must submit them simultaneously. I did not get why people submit multiple entries. Maybe you know what I am thinking. During the checking, I found his double entry. Then I replaced his entry with Gaza13"s entry, but the Image remained the same. That was the mistake. Thanks again for finding this.

I have ordered all entries to find any entry easily. if someone want to vote any specific entry then this list will help you.
No offense. But I don't think this is necessary. This will help people voting some specific pizza without seeing other pizzas. This is not fair. When someone wants to vote for pizzas, they should have seen all the pizza and see which is the best and deserve a vote.

Hey Wo Guys! It's time to vote for your favorite Pizza. Make sure you check all three channels to check 113 Submissions.
The Contest Is over! It's Time to update the Pizza gallery.
** The Gallery Format stolen from ChiBitCTy

Thanks, fillippone for sorting out the first column issue.

This is all 113 Submissions in one Gallery. I skipped some Submissions, and the reason is explained in this post. Feel Free to check the detailed explanation. Everyone is Supposed to submit their Submission On the Discord Server. But, Some of us didn't. So, I worked with Cyrus to gather them all On the Discord Server.

Note From Cyrus: Due to smashing our previous 50 pizza record from pizza-day-event-2022, we hit an arbitrary Discord limit of 50 pins/channel. Thank you to everyone that participated and to theymos, Betnomi, @John Abraham and, of course, Laszlo for buying those pizzas!

Please check All three Channels of the Pizza Day event 2023 and vote.

I think the voting system should be changed as it's really funny at the moment (because some of the pizzas on display are culinary arts). But at the same time, these pizzas did not receive due attention. I see that in the discord all pizzas got 1 vote each while two pizzas got 10 votes each (to be honest I think someone texted friends or something like that).
Yes. They did. The Irony is that they did not ask their friends to review other pizzas and vote if they liked them. In such a way, Voting can be manipulated. But, As long as I remember, asking your friends to vote for you is allowed. Last year fillippone posted in the Wo thread and invited WO Bros to vote, if I am not wrong. That's more acceptable. But, when you ask your friends to vote for you in private, people with the worst pizza with a big friend circle could win the competition.

Quote
It's not about the prize at all, I just wanted to speak out because I think that the organizer of the competition should have chosen, say, the 10 best pizzas (in own subjective opinion). And then put them to a vote. I am sure that in this case sponsorship contributions would be much more significant and I also took care of it.
Well, This is the fourth year, and the the last three seasons were fair (If I am not wrong). I don't think the organizer expected that much submission or exposure this year. Since everyone was doing fair, he might think this year it will be like those as well. I think asking your friends to vote should not be allowed because they will vote only for you. But, the problem is you cannot monitor it. You would never know if someone asked their friends to vote for them. Your Suggested Idea is not bad. But, then other participants may get disappointed because they might think their effort wasted.

I guess I've seen poll voting system in either Pie Baking contest or Pumpkin Curving contest. How is that worked in your opinion?

As you can see the reporter don't want his profile to be in public so respecting that I am posting it on behalf of him.

Accidentally you exposed the reporter. You removed his name, but it forwards to his Bitcointalk profile when someone clicks on the quote link. You may want to remove his UID as well.

About this matter. This is a shitty thing people do. I guess he did it to reach the maximum post limit to get weekly from the campaign. I have seen he received the bonus multiple times. It's not easy for someone to write over 90+ posts each week. Maybe he decided to get help from AI. I suggest he delete all his AI posts before moderators punish him.

Edit: I've Checked some of his posts as well. It doesn't seem AI-Generated. Some AI Detector tools giving false information, I guess?

I don't think you need community feedback about this matter. You already mentioned this in your campaign thread;

To prevent AI domination effective from today we are introducing an incentive for forum users. Find AI written posts on this campaign
and report to me either in public or in forum PM, please be sure you have enough reference to support the claim. For successful report
the reporter will receive the weekly payment instead of the accused campaigner. The campaigner will be removed immediately.

Unfortunately, this is a problem. It was stated and repeated that the contest is taking place on Discord, like in previous years. However, this is not the first time it happened. If you look at the pinned messages in the #pizza-day-event-2022 channel you will see that I posted the entries for the people that did not post in Discord.

I'd really appreciate it if someone has the time to help out with that this year!

Understandably, some of us are not here to compete against pizza legends! But the effort is worth participating in the contest. I won't mind posting them on the Discord server since you asked. We have almost two more hours to go. Let's see if we see more submissions from members. I will update the pizza gallery and post it here once the time is up. Then I will start posting them on the Discord server. Since you asked, Can you help me clarify one thing?

What if we got submissions after the mentioned period? Should I submit them on the Discord Server? Or should I be strict with the rules? Let's say you answered submit them as well, how long should I do it? People may submit all day!  Cheesy
73  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Duelbits, $500,000 scam alert. on: June 01, 2023, 07:12:04 AM
It's nothing new anymore where a paid shill willing to do anything to promote the competitors, like creating a fake story where there's a victim claim he has been scammed on 1xbit and he announce if 1xbit returned his money, while everyone knows if 1xbit is scam casino.

Do you think OP is here to promote Duelbits? At first, accuse them of scamming a significant amount and then say they released his withdrawal. You did not mean that, especially when wearing Duelbits signature and Avatar. I do not think Duelbits will promote their casino in such negative ways  Wink

Or maybe you want to say that either Stake or Rollbit hired him?

@OP, it does not look like you are in minus at all. It seems you have withdrawn over $2.1 Million and deposited less than that. Also, I am not clear what the support said to you. He was asking you to wait, and they will update you. Since the decision is not final yet (They did not block or freeze your account), You cannot say if they scammed you.

It might be a security check-up because you have won a lot. It is common for a casino to investigate user accounts when users win significant amounts. They want to ensure the user is not taking any unfair advantage to win. So, give them some time and wait until they finish their investigation.

What's wrong with his statement? It seems perfectly reasonable to me. He might be right. He might be wrong. We will see.
You seem to want to vouch for Roger Ver. no? It's not reasonable at all. Yeah. We will find out.

Quote
BTW, have you noticed how more and more people are referring to Bitcoin transaction fees as "gas"? That should tell you something.
If someone is stupid enough not to understand what Gwei and Satoshi are, That's their problem. It's not mine. By the way, Do you have the statistics on how many people refer to Bitcoin transaction fees as "gas"? I did not find it harmful. They are basically ETH people trying to learn Bitcoin and referring to it as "gas". Or maybe not. Who knows?

Quote
Anyway, loyalty to a cryptocurrency is stupid.
I don't expect anyone to be loyal to a specific cryptocurrency. But I love to see people use the right coin. Why would I vouch for a centralized coin with no proof of work? They can create an infinite amount of coins out of thin air. Did you forget what happened during the Terra Luna Crash? They Increased their supply until it became zero. Why would I trust Vitalik?

The Fun Fact is, His forum.bitcoin.com has no post in 2023. The last post was made in 2022.
Another Fun Fact; I have never seen a active flag which theymos opposed which Roger Ver has ; https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=trust;u=10310

I agree with you but the word "pizza" does not need to be defined as it does not need to be defined as "water" or "coca cola" we all know how these drinks are. If I order a pizza, the waiter must bring me a circular pasta cooked in the oven (preferably wood-fired) with a layer of tomato on the surface up to half a centimeter from the edge covered with mozzarella. This is the basis. Finally, you can season it with some ingredients such as ham, mushrooms, peppers, salami, artichokes, etc... but any type of strange dough cannot be defined as pizza. For the dough you need water, flour and yeast. It's that simple and I don't expect a regulation to define what a pizza is if the contest plans to cook one.

It seems like you did not like the mashed potato pizza. Nor the salad pizza. This is the reason you started creating drama  Roll Eyes
Kidding aside, you will see more submissions next year as long we feed them with merits. They are not here to win the contest. They know they won't get a vote and did not submit their so-called pizza on the Discord server. All they want is some merits! I understand that everyone's creativity and ability to create are not the same. Maybe I made the worst-looking pizza. But, at least you will be able to recognize that this is a pizza. They were not looking good. Still, it's a Pizza.

Only 21 Hours left. We have over 90 submissions in this thread, while the Discord server has only 26 Submissions. I encourage everyone to upload their pizza on the Discord server's dedicated event channel #pizza-day-event-2023.

Why does there's a captcha when I'm only using my mobile phone to login here in the forum while there's no captcha when I login using desktop browser. I just notice it now when I browse using my company desktop for the first time.
I am not sure if you are using Captcha bypass unique link for your account when you login from your desktop. Other than this, You should have always see a captcha when you try to log in. No matter from what device are you trying to log in. You have to verify the captcha each time you log in. I never had an exception other than the captcha bypass link I use.

Quote
Sometimes the captcha on mobile keeps giving me a result to try again even though I'm sure that I'm choosing the right tile. Do you encounter this too on the mobile version? It's just annoying sometimes to captcha over and over on mobile because of the small screen.
I confirm I face this issue as well. It's freaking annoying. Sometimes Captcha sucks. It asks me to try again over and over even though I choose the correct tile. Not only on the mobile version, but I also face this issue on my desktop as well. I thought it was because of my internet connection. Maybe Google failed to get my data or something like that.

As someone already suggested, Do not share your Captcha bypass unique link with anyone. I also suggest not using the Always Stay logged-in feature. In case someone has access to your computer can access your account too if you use always stay logged in.
77  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: coinzino.io scam on: May 31, 2023, 09:44:05 AM
A priori, I cannot give an opinion with certainty, since we have seen in this section many complaints of fraud that later turns out to be proven to the contrary: it was the player who somehow cheated or broke the T&C, which is what they accuse you

In any case, I don't know if this is normal casino practice in these cases, but when you are accused of something they need to clearly explain what you are accused of so that you can defend yourself, and not say that you have broken the T&C without specify and without allowing you to defend yourself.

Let's say the player is guilty here. But, Casinos are supposed to answer them and refer to the T&C they broke. The Live support is for what? If they answer like they do not have further information, where is the player supposed to contact? I saw some casinos refer them to fraud team email and they take ages to reply. Isn't it better to practice that their support team will contact the fraud team and answer the player? The support has direct contact with the team while a player doesn't have any contact with anyone except for the live support.

I don't remember if have seen this casino before. I don't know why people choose unnamed casinos. Maybe because they want to take some advantage of those casinos? I don't know. If their casino team is here (I am not sure if I have seen them around), they should explain to the player why they blocked the player and what T&C they broke.

Edit: Just saw they are here in the forum. I suggest OP update your post with more detailed information. Follow the scam report format and invite their forum representative to this thread.
78  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Doing scam for Using AI Tool in Signature Campaign on: May 31, 2023, 09:14:25 AM
This is interesting, first the accused user exposed another user @Shan85 for double dipping in signature campiagn and now he's being accused of using AI to generate post to earn from signature.

This is irony. This is how the world going on. Someone exposing scammers doesn't mean he is trusted. He can scam someone else. Everyone waits for an opportunity to scam others. This should represent why you shouldn't give positive feedback to a scam buster just because he catches scammers. I have seen LoyceV's guide about the use of the trust system and feedback. I know some of us follow them and most of us don't.

I have seen a lot of users argue about that. Some forum members were actively looking to expose scammers (Which is good). But they intended to get DT inclusion and get some positive feedback from DT. I don't want to mention the name, but I have seen a DT member get more than 15+ Positive feedback just because he expose scammers. Which is not the correct use of feedback (In my opinion).
79  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / What's Wrong with Roger Ver? ::) on: May 31, 2023, 08:07:26 AM
For those, Who Don't know who Roger Ver is,

Mr. Roger Ver is An early adopter of the first digital currency, he integrated Bitcoin payments into Memorydealers.com, allowing customers to make payments in Bitcoin. By moving to collect Bitcoin in its earliest days, when each coin was valued at under $1, Ver amassed a total collection of more than 400,000 bitcoins by some estimates. In the process of spreading the word about Bitcoin, it's likely that Ver reduced his collection through payments and funding projects.

Ver's financial support helped a number of popular Bitcoin projects and startups launch. He was an early investor in the now-defunct BitInstant, the company founded by Bitcoin millionaire and ex-convict Charlie Shrem.

Ver was also an early investor in a number of related blockchain projects, including Kraken, purse.io, Blockchain.com, and Ripple. In 2012, Ver launched Bitcoinstore.com, offering thousands of items for sale with customers allowed to transact in Bitcoin.[1]

In 2017, Roger Ver Turned Into Bitcoin Cash.

Yesterday, This guy did not talk about Bitcoin Cash But about Ethereum. He said, “Even though Ethereum doesn’t have the biggest market cap compared to Bitcoin, I think Ethereum is the front-runner in terms of driving worldwide adoption.” [2]

Glad I was able to help you, just as someone helped me with that trick.
I was puzzled. Huh? What's wrong? What happening here? Then you came up with the solution. Thanks again!

Also, @mendace updated his pizza picture. Please update it the "hodl" pizza in the gallery!
I just updated mendace and LDL's new Pizza in the gallery. I intentionally ignored some submissions as they are not some kind of pizzas. I removed some submissions from the gallery as well. Some people do Photoshop, and some others download images from the internet and submit them here. So, I had to ignore them and remove a few submissions. I hope this makes sense in case anyone wondering why I ignored them.

There might be a need to list which ones were left out and the reason(s) why.. .unless everyone considers the leaving out of submissions is totally clear...

I do agree that there are some pretty crappy submissions that seem to be photoshopped, AI generated or not a product of any effort, yet it could still be better to point out the reason(s) that they are being left out rather than "ignoring" the submission......

Some look like they had little to no effort and hardly even seem to fit the definition of what is a pizza.. but it still seems if there is ambiguity in respect to something that was submitted and if it seems to genuinely submitted and with actual personal efforts to make it, then it may well be better to allow that one to be entered and to attempt to receive votes.. rather than completely leaving such a submission out of the contest...

so I think, as I am typing this, I am heading towards believing that it is better to include everything and to give reasons for why they are left out mostly in the categories of photo shop or seemingly low effort trolling.. rather than "that ain't no pizza"... ... but if the conclusion is that the submission fails to fit the "definition of pizza" then that would be better to state it, rather than to "ignore" it.

Well, I think JayJuanGee has a good point. But let me explain. Posting your Pizza in this thread is unnecessary to participate in this contest. Submitting your Pizza to the Discord server is more important than posting it here. Of course, I am not going to do it for everyone. I am trying to gather all the images in a gallery for a better view. Since you asked me for an explanation of why I ignored them, I will quote each of them and explain why I did not add them to Pizza Gallary.

Oh, oh, It seems like some of them deleted their submission  Cheesy

This is the Pizza from Mijanur_Rahman, which was also submitted for Pie Contest. You JJG Spotted that before me. So, I don't think I have to explain more about this.

This one was bought from a Pizza shop which he declared himself in another place.

Do we consider Smashed Potato As a Pizza?  Roll Eyes

Photoshopped Pizza. Deserve a Negative Tag Already for Cheating in a Contest.

Do you consider some salads as Pizza?

Another Salad Pizza?

Except for them, I still believe I've listed some low-quality/effort Pizza that barely looks like a pizza. Some of them deleted their entry, if I am not wrong. I hope my explanation makes sense. I am no one to judge if it's a pizza or not.
I am looking forward to hearing from you.
