Try to watch The Neon Demon, A Hologram for the King, Enemy (2013), 12 Angry Men (1957), Mad Max Fury Road, Green Book, Primer (2004), Upgrade, The Naked Gun trilogy. These are good movies with excellent cinematography and just good movies.
the Neon Demon was honestly kinda boring. The trailer made it seem like it was gonna be an interesting watch, but it really wasn't.
have you watch the movie?

Well thanks for saving my time looking for this one.
If you expect the Neon Demon to give the same action as the Transformers or the Avengers, then of course it will seem boring.

Another thing is that the film is not about that at all. By and large, this is generally one big statement on the topic of beauty. Real (the main character), half artificial, and completely artificial (those two girls). This is not just a commercial product, but cinema. There are no characters and events that are written according to the producer's guidelines.
The film works both at the plot level and between the lines. Plus, the visual are great. Almost every freeze frame can be set as wallpaper on your desktop. The music is excellent here. There is an incredibly thick atmosphere here that break any knife would .

And then there is the most unusual role of Keanu Reeves in his entire career.

For those who value high-quality cinema, excellently made at all levels, to skip this film is to show disrespect for themselves.
63  Other / Off-topic / Re: Do you know any good ways to promote a mobile application game? on: September 22, 2020, 08:44:39 AM
I guess the only working method is to flood all the media platforms with ads for your application. Judging by what can be seen, this method is still actively used, which means that it works. It is necessary to buy advertising from bloggers, also in various social networks. Show your ads inside other free apps.
64  Other / Off-topic / Re: Pirated Software: When and Why? on: September 19, 2020, 06:46:33 AM
I think WinRAR Smiley I think everyone understands why. Now that I have the funds, there is no problem in buying licensed software.

Nevertheless, I perfectly understand those who physically cannot afford to buy it and are forced to resort to piracy. The developer doesn't lose anything from this, because if a person does not have money to buy, then he will not buy the product in any case. At the same time, if this software was needed for work, then a person will be able to make money on it, and then thank the developers by purchasing a licensed version. So in this I see even positive for the developers, rather than negative.

In ancient times, even without the Internet, I bought pirated discs (wild times), but in the end, now all these games are now in my licensed Steam library, because they gave me a lot of positive emotions and brightened up the sad hours at that time.
65  Other / Off-topic / Re: Is there anyone here who goes to the gym? on: September 19, 2020, 06:34:51 AM
I don't have enough time for the gym. Usually, I train intensely at home with my own weight. As it turned out, even this is enough to keep yourself in good shape.
66  Other / Off-topic / Re: GTA V free on Epic games until May 21 on: September 19, 2020, 06:28:01 AM
Not a GTA V post but related to Epic games another good free game. Don't miss it.

--> https://www.epicgames.com/store/en-US/product/watch-dogs-2/home

Worth $41.99 game for free.

Thanks for the info. I took it. Not GTA V, of course, but the game is also quite good in its way.
67  Other / Off-topic / Re: Would you pay your sailing vacation using crypto? on: September 19, 2020, 06:21:20 AM
In my case, crypto is primarily an asset, not a means of payment. I think if I had a lot of coins, it would be quite possible to pay with them.

Perhaps the universe has ripened for life (in terms of the suitability of the planets) just over the last billion years, and life in all its regions has developed at about the same pace as ours, and therefore life in other regions of the universe is now about the same level as ours.
69  Other / Off-topic / Re: How to grow your business during COVID 19? on: September 16, 2020, 08:32:47 AM
The only thing that worked before and will work now is adaptation. For example, various cafes have added the ability to deliver food to their services so that people do not go out again. Cinemas place people at a distance from each other so that they have at least some opportunity to show films relatively safely. I think you get the point.
70  Other / Off-topic / Re: do you think Healthcare and College should be free for all in the US? If so, how on: September 16, 2020, 08:26:03 AM
Judging by the content of some of the posts, and what I see on Reddit, the quality of education is terribly low. Perhaps it is precisely because a minimal number of people have access to a good education.
I used free medicine and it was great. You know that no matter what happens to you, you will be cured, put in order, and at the same time you will not owe anyone half of your house.

How to arrange it? There is one simple answer to this. Soc****sm. This is a proven solution that has worked for decades. Of course, such a success cannot be viewed calmly from across the ocean, and therefore everything was sabotaged. You just need to study what it is and how it works carefully. Preferably in neutral and non-biased sources. Although, of course, no one will study this, because it is easier to pounce on everyone who mentions this word with poison, without even understanding the matter carefully.

Thank you for the lecture intended for primary school students, which for some reason ended up on a serious portal about cryptocurrencies for mature adults.

Automatic translation from Google in any case requires corrections. Relying on it unconditionally is a bad idea. Sometimes, such a translation can distort the essence of what is said and turn it 180 degrees. This option works well for translating short phrases.
73  Other / Off-topic / Re: lowest (and best) phone with Android on: September 13, 2020, 07:14:41 AM
I think Xiaomi would be a good option. Choosing completely unknown brands is also not always good. I once bought myself the cheapest android smartphone from an unknown manufacturer, and it turned out to be terribly slow and had an inconvenient and not intuitive interface.
74  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Try this whenever you feel depressed... on: September 12, 2020, 12:48:26 PM
Depression appears due to many factors at once. Food, sleep (from 11 to 3), sports, family, friends and the good things that surround you, and understanding why you are here in this world (who you are and where you are going). All this needs to be there, otherwise it will be difficult to maintain a good mood.
75  Other / Politics & Society / Re: It's time for EUROPE to become SOCIALIST on: September 12, 2020, 12:42:05 PM
Conflicts will continue in the world until we learn to live like People, helping each other, without splitting into groups.

Now I understand how hard it is to live when there is some obsessive thought in your head. I haven't thought about the virus since April (and in general everything around me). And it turns out that some people still think about it.
77  Other / Off-topic / Re: What time do you go to bed? on: September 10, 2020, 07:02:04 AM
Lately I have been sleeping between 2 and 4 am, to get up at 8. For the same reason during the day I am forced to take a nap, I cannot help it.
For some time I had to live in this mode. Those were the worst days that I have lived. Minimum performance, terrible health.
78  Other / Off-topic / Re: Xbox Series S for 299! on: September 10, 2020, 07:00:16 AM
I see no reason for myself to buy an X-Box when there is a computer that does a good job with its gaming tasks. Moreover, X-Box games will also be available on PC.

Perhaps this is a good option for those who have a weak computer and good Internet, because in order to confidently download 50-200 GB each time you need a very good Internet connection, and you will have to download often, because the S-version has only 500 GB of memory, which is negligible in our time.
79  Other / Off-topic / Re: Things should I take care of while selling my phone online? on: September 10, 2020, 06:53:42 AM
As far as I remember, restoring to factory settings deletes absolutely all personal information, so you can safely use this function and sell your phone.
80  Other / Off-topic / Re: What do you like to do in your spare time? on: September 07, 2020, 06:09:54 AM
I have already quite forgotten what free time is. In my rare free hours, I try to just relax.
