61  Other / Off-topic / Re: Best Anti Virus Now on: March 29, 2017, 03:49:14 PM
Bitdefender Antivirus Plus is definitely the best in the antivuirus list ,as it not only keeps your computer and essential information secure but is also very light (meaning it will use very little resources) in it's functioning.
62  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is Binary Options The Same as Trade? on: March 29, 2017, 03:43:15 PM
Binary options is nothing but gambling at its best - scamming people for their money since there is no regulation. So there is plenty of crap out there and I would recommend to stay away from this. If you think there is something legit ask them for an audited statement.

While trading allows you to learn and how to trade instead of gambling. Education and practice is key as there is so many strategies to master. Unlike the binary option where there is a time limit ( on FX) there isn't and if you wish to hold a position for a long time.
63  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: did you place all your funds into bitcoin? on: March 29, 2017, 03:31:54 PM
Investing all of your money in one investment is a bad idea. Even with well established financial tools like stocks and bonds. With bitcoin there is a greater risk. The only advantage bitcoin offers is a steady supply, and a slowly growing demand. This leads slowly but steadily in price rise. Price crashes will occur, but that's how markets function.
64  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: there don't seem to be great Bitcoin alternatives on: March 29, 2017, 03:19:31 PM
There is no real competitor to Bitcoin when it comes to cryptocurrencies. Currently Bitcoin has 12M+ market cap. The closest competitor is Monero which has a market cap of only about 100K.

The reason for this is that Bitcoin has by far the biggest network effect. Additionally, the Bitcoin network continues to grow at a much faster pace than other cryptocurrencies. The Bitcoin project continues to attract developers, investors and users whereas other cryptocurrencies pale in comparison in each of these areas.
65  Other / Politics & Society / Re: How society works on: March 29, 2017, 09:31:31 AM
Because judging others is easier than fixing your own problems.

It's something many of us do, even when we don't think we are.   Most societal norms include specifics of what to do or not to do, and by sneering at the people who do not do what is specified we give ourselves a false sense of superiority.

What we should be doing is trying to make ourselves into better people, so instead of looking at people who are different from us and judging them we can acknowledge their differences and appreciate the many ways diversity makes our world a better place.

Unless they're just plain weird.  (jk)  Grin
66  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin saving on: March 29, 2017, 09:06:02 AM
I think you should try out 52 week money challenge with fiat. This way you can ensure that you are saving some definite amount. Bitcoin is volatile and will not serve this purpose. And I would say the 52week money challenge is very effective ONLY if you have cultivated a mentality for saving money to begin with. I started saving by putting away 10% of every paycheck from my first job.

To do this I convinced myself that the money I was saved was being paid to a corporation (myself Inc I like to say). This is the same way someone would  pay their rent/cellphone bills. This simple trick helps you understand that paying yourself first is important, easy to do, and eliminates the need for you to dip into your savings because have I'm sure no one has ever heard of a corporation giving you back your bill money?!

I used the 52 week challenge to take my saving to the next level by saving the amount 6 times over every week. So you start out by saving 6 dollars the first week and about 312 the last. If you do the math you will see that it comes out to a lot of money at the end of the year. Also, it forces you to think of how to can tweak your budget to allow for paying yourself more. Once you do this you can recognize the things in your life which you don't necessarily need but impulsively spend money on.

I hope all that made sense
67  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Money laundering via BTC on: March 29, 2017, 09:01:56 AM
It turns out that bitcoin is a terrible tool for money laundering. The trouble is that all bitcoin transactions are tracked so if they want to catch you, they can go back into the system and figure out who you are.
68  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will Bitcoin be replaced by another cryptocurrency? on: March 29, 2017, 08:58:01 AM
We have witnessed many new crypto-currencies and new DLT (Distributed Ledger Technology) stacks arising over the last 2 years. It seems that the market is heading to multiple technologies working together. Most of them provide different feature sets (e.g. smart contracts) and are addressing some market needs. We see that these stacks complement each others and I think we will continue to see more coming in the market. There are multiple initiatives that aim at connecting various chains together which demonstrate the tendency to go to a multiple chains market, where private, public and side chains will be inter-linked to provide a large offer of services. Bitcoin and Blockchain will probably stay the generic names since they’ve been there for a while and highly publicized by the media.
69  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I think the potential of BTC is over on: March 29, 2017, 07:05:23 AM
Other currencies surely dilute the market for Bitcoin. Some people use Monero over Bitcoin because it suits their needs better. In my case transactional privacy was very important so my money went into Monero. Some people want digital on chain contracts, so they invest in currencies allowing that.

The general thinking that Bitcoin is king and other currencies are leeches to its market is stupid. In the coming times there will be 5-10 currencies establishing dominance in market. Just like the USD isnt the only reserve currency
70  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin progress in 2017 on: March 29, 2017, 06:59:36 AM
Yes, this year and 2018 will be good for bitcoin and business of blockchain until technology do not hit a wall similar to Project Liberty Alliance. Bitcoin is gaining more and more ground which is good for bitcoin future.
71  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: In what to invest $2k? on: March 29, 2017, 06:54:53 AM
Buying liquid, investment-grade, short-dated bonds.

Or you can just stick it into bond ETFs which are essentially baskets holding numerous bonds with variable maturities.

Want a little more risk? (110-your age), then allocate your money into stocks and bonds (ETFs), rebalance every year.

Example: if you're 20 years old, 110-20= 90. So your portfolio should be 90% stocks, 10% bonds. Then as you grow older each year, rebalance your portfolio accordingly by selling one and buying into another (good if the market is strong for the one you're selling) or simply buying more bonds to make it 11%.
72  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is Holding Bitcoin a long time good way to make money? on: March 29, 2017, 02:24:10 AM
When it comes to long term profitable investment. it should not be your entire sum of savings because bitcoin is Volatile and when it comes to entire chunk of savings panic kicks in. If the market is crashing even temporarily we sell, incurring losses which we regret once the price rises again. Hence it's advised time and again to invest what you can afford to lose.

If you're gonna take my word for it, I suggest that you invest for a limited fixed time 5 years, 10 years, etc and withdraw your principal. Halving occurs ~every 4 years so you should see more unstable and usually high prices then. You can withdraw your principal once profit is sufficiently high
73  Other / Politics & Society / Re: What is real freedom in your view? Are you getting it? on: March 29, 2017, 02:15:27 AM
Freedom is being able to do a fair amount of what you want.  But never everything, because life is complex.

People want different things, and also have differing views on what should be suppressed.  Really, it is a subjective concept
74  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Do you think there is a world government. on: March 28, 2017, 03:49:39 PM
No I dont believe in a secret world government. The world is just too diverse and have such different views that a world government would be impossible, people are nationalistic what will be the dominate language? Will country's cooperate with each other.
75  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Is taxation theft? on: March 28, 2017, 03:35:44 PM
No! Technically you're in debt. So you owe them because government paid for your education, which clearly was money wasted since you say absurd things like ‘taxes are theft

Or I sometimes I say “Then keep your money and go live in a jungle, in a nice comfortable tree” because taxes are the price we pay to live in civilization with education, healthcare(unless you're America) roads, cops (who you gonna call when the tiger chases you) fire departments (your tree is on fire) and many more services.
76  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Just 8 men own same wealth as half the world on: March 28, 2017, 03:28:01 PM
looking at the 8 people at the top should restore faith in humanity. They are not royals nor having great hereditary wealth. Almost all of them built from scratch. They were all stories of entrepreneurship. All of them were first generation entrepreneurs [at that scale].

While Buffett and Slim were beneficiaries of business minded parents, the others were stories of great struggle of people with no business background building first generation enterprises. Some were sons of book keepers, railway workers, lawyers and dentists. Others like Bezos and Ellison [like Jobs] endured tumultuous childhood due to unprepared/unqualified biological parents.

They all depict human struggle and the will to overpower them. A large chunk of these guys are great philanthropists who gave away far, far more wealth than their critics had seconds in their life.

In short, there is nothing obscene or scary or wrong about it.
77  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: I want to learn on: March 28, 2017, 06:27:45 AM
Binary trading involves huge risks. For 90 % it wont be profitable, for 10 % it likely will but those are the people who would success with traditional market and has done so. When people compare binary options to gambling, they are missing a major fundamental difference; Casino, Roulette, Blackjack and Slot Machines, are games of chance and not skill. With binary options, there are outside forces, like market events, which cause price movements. A good trader, can interpret market information to know when odds are in his or her favour.
78  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: HOW MUCH YOU EARN/LOSE FROM TRADING on: March 28, 2017, 06:19:01 AM
I'm finding that bitcoin trading is part of my full time job, and it does not pay enough to pay for my living expenses.  This is fine because I'm an entrepreneur and I have some cash reserves to fund my living expenses.  I figure if I automate some things, and get better at trading, I will likely make enough money to cover most of my living expenses, and if some of my other projects work out, I might be able to live a decent middle class life style, but even this is going take a lot of hard work.

The thing that I don't think I'll *ever* be able to do realistically is get super rich by bitcoin trading.  I might be able to get super-rich by doing other things, but not bitcoin trading.  I might be able to make decent amounts of money, but if I wanted to maximize income, I never would have left (insert big investment bank).
79  Other / Off-topic / Re: if you could live anywhere on: March 27, 2017, 02:49:32 PM
It depends on the circumstances. Some countries allow for certain things others don't, but there are always drawbacks. Here is my approximate list of hypothetically great countries in which to live for me: Norway, Denmark, Finland, the UK, the US, New Zealand, South Africa and South Korea.
