Theft would be a strong word to use. Well, taxation does do us good too. A lot of things get fixed like roads and stuff. The question is, are we being taxed appropriately?

It's actually more common for a student to attack his teacher than the other way round.

That is why the educational standards are falling now in many of the Western nations, especially in the inner city areas. The students have no respect for their teachers, and qualified people don't want to enter the teaching profession.

Yeah, the student must respect the teacher because they are someone who teach us and pass knowledge, and teacher wont hit the student without reason though. But idont like teacher give punishment too mean when warn the student though

For me, taxation is not theft. It just a process of giving back to our society and government. We know that the taxes that were paid are allotted for government projects and etc. It should be called theft when taxation is done with corruption.

In general, in a good way, of course you need to pay taxes and sleep peacefully. But now there is no assurance and guarantee that this money will go to improve the country.

I wouldn't say so. Sure, I live in a country with very high taxes, but on the other hand it feels like the majority of my tax money goes to good stuff.

I have access to free healthcare, free education (heck, I even get monetary support from the state while studying) and I feel safe walking around any part of my town at any time of the day. Also, I do not have to worry about becoming homeless as we have a social security net.

Sure, there are both cons with taxes and problems with my country, but in the end I actually think I benefit from the high taxes.

Before we speak of corruption in the government it is better if we check and understand how a country makes its budget. People who are not working in the government does not see how it is hard to finance and fund any projects and all they do is complain but never verify how the funds of the government is allocated. Though we cannot deny that there are some corruptions in the government but let us not all blame to the government since even the citizens do not pay the proper taxes and other does not work and just rely on the governments welfare and services.

It depends. If government uses it for common interest/health etc its ok. But when they use the taxes for a groups interests its theft. For example if government use the taxes for building churches or mosques its theft, if they hire more officers than needed and pay with taxes its theft. It should be optimum.

As long as arson is free to live somewhere else, whether in a society with different taxes more to their liking, or out in the woods, then you can't complain too much. But some people view taxation more as a law enforcement issue and a way to control people or inflict their ideas on them. It is unfortunate that exactly the people who should not work in those kinds of jobs often are attracted to that work and cause harm to others.

"Helping" someone must be voluntary. For example, if someone is refusing to work and is applying for unemployment benefits, why should the other working individuals support that person? Also, if the government want to import third world immigrants to the country, why should the tax payer bear the expenses for the same?

Direct taxing is fine in a civilised society I guess. Bureaucrats need to get paid too. But indirect taxing is ridiculous so either tax income or tax what we buy but not both.

This is one of the core things about taxes that people don't understand and they feel their money is just going to the greedy people up in Washington (or whatever country you're in) and is just going straight to waste. But the people are unable to see the Police, Fire Department, Security, and so on that if they didn't have these services it would just cause the anarchy in a country to occur.

But one of the things that does bother people about taxes is the amount of money that is wasted by the government on things that the people really don't want to see nor do they feel is going to be worth the usage of their money on, this would be things such as controversial as Foreign aid (to certain countries), Supporting things such as Abortion / Anti Abortion, and so on.

People just want to see oversight of the money in which they work hard for to be in the government, it's simple and it's something the government is going to have to do.

No! Technically you're in debt. So you owe them because government paid for your education, which clearly was money wasted since you say absurd things like ‘taxes are theft

You are probably right but its still helpful for the government to make roads, infastructures, and other necessities of thie country. It still depends on the person on the government who wants to make theft. He should realize that is not stealing from the government but otherwise he is stealing from his countrymen.
