61  Economy / Reputation / Re: Likely low quality poster alts. on: May 10, 2024, 11:04:27 AM
Good catch. Even though similarities in writing patterns aren't solid evidence to prove that they're multi-accounting, they're reasonable enough to raise attention. Not to mention that all but one account features the number 7 somewhere in their nicknames. Despite all that, I don't understand the reason someone would create a handful of alt accounts that are never going to rank up; even if they weren't caught, with such posts, I doubt they'd even reach the member rank, and even if they eventually do, they won't be accepted in any campaign.

Is there any possibility there's something greater behind fruitless hopes of joining a signature campaign in the future? One thing is certain though, they're flooding the forum with gibberish threads and replies, to the point that trashing them altogether doesn't sound like a bad idea.
62  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What are the importance of this non_ custodial wallet? on: May 10, 2024, 09:02:41 AM
I'm still new here so whenever time I see people talking about non custodial wallet I don't really understand what they are talking about so that is the reason why I choose to ask this question so that you guy's can enlighten me more  about non custodial wallet. that is why is very good to ask questions in any area that you don't understand I always ask questions if there's anything I don't understand I don't care what people might say or talk about me, I'm not that type that always keep quiet even if they don't understand they will just keep quiet and pretend like they know exactly what you're talking about when they don't even have any idea of what they are talking about, well thank you so much for making me to understand what non custodial wallet means.
No need to apologize; no one was born knowing everything, and we also took our time learning even the basics. There's nothing wrong with asking questions, and the majority of users here are actually helpful and friendly. It's quite rare to encounter someone harassing you for simply asking a question, although, there are quite a few threads and guides on this forum mentioning it already. Trust me, if I'd made this thread or had bothered to search a few years ago, I would have saved some of my BTC, which was then in online wallets. It's always best to prevent a mistake; although it wasn't a huge amount, I never managed to recover it. Online wallets seemed easy and beginner-friendly back then, but if only I had known any better.
63  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Attempting to turn 0.05 BTC into 1.7 BTC on: May 10, 2024, 08:40:15 AM
Nothing we can contribute here but wishes mate not unless others are willing to Donate as he have indicate
his TIP Address things that gives me soem doubt about the purpose of this thread , is he really actually doing this
challenge or he is hunting someone to tip him because there is nothing he provided from the op aside from that
Image so yeah we can only pray and wish luck for him.
I wouldn't go ahead and mention what he could have done differently with the money—his money, his choice. However, since he's posting on a public forum, everyone is free to voice their own opinion, whether we like it or not, gambling is not an ideal method of investment. I'm only stating that he took an unnecessary risk by betting half of his bankroll already. He's motivated, at least; I'll give him that. I don't think the OP's goal is to accumulate tips; he's a newbie, and it's unlikely anyone is going to tip him these days.
64  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Eurovision 2024 bets on: May 09, 2024, 08:18:31 PM
To be honest, I haven't watched the Eurovision song contest for years, I didn't know you could even bet on it. I randomly opened the TV and encountered the last few songs for the semifinal contest. There are a few good songs, such as Belgium's, Czechia's or Croatia's.
I am watching the second semi final now and every song so far is very good. Talented artists and good songs. Marina of Greece kinda fucked up on some parts but hopefully people are still going to vote for us. Czechia is unexpectedly good I am surprised they weren't higher in the odds. Albania also. So far 5 songs in I'll be sad if one of these doesn't make it to the final.
We haven't had a decent song in years, and this year isn't any different. This is probably one of the most kitsch songs I've ever listened to. I don't understand why there's such a huge hype about it.
65  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: attempting to turn 0.05 BTC into 1.7 BTC on: May 09, 2024, 12:48:18 PM
To win 2x in gambling, it is a chance of 50% but which is reduced to like 40% because of house edge. To win 34 odds, the chance is less than 2.948%. Is he going to win that amount? I will say NO. The chance to win it is very small. So I will say he should not just waste his money. It is not a matter of if he is going to win it or not.
From my understanding, the OP is planning to slowly build his way towards accumulating 1.7 BTC, he never mentioned that happening in one go, that's impossible.
The next bet is crucial as losing another bet would wipe out the entire bankroll.

@Op, if you want a tip, I think it's fine but only if you are helping us here win, but based on your bet, it seems like you don't have a good start which doesn't impress us here. I hope you'll win your next bet so you can start with your goal to turn this amount to 1.7 btc.
If he's planning to bet 0.025 BTC again, then yes, he's likely to wipe out his balance. Although his plan is very unlikely, his strategy so far isn't the best either. I don't mean to judge, but 50% of your balance in one bet is ridiculously high. The OP should slowly build his way by smaller bets, otherwise, he's only got one more chance before his whole plan is blown.
66  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Attempting to turn 0.05 BTC into 1.7 BTC on: May 09, 2024, 11:37:24 AM
What can I say? 0.05 BTC is a reasonable amount of money, and you went ahead and bet half of that in your first bet. It seems that this challenge hasn't started out the best. Although it'd be best to judge when and if the OP ends up losing all his bankroll, until then, everything is possible. Your expectations are too high, and you're already halfway through losing your money. I'd probably be a little more careful if I were you. I personally wouldn't go ahead and bet such amounts, nor would I expect gambling to be my investment, but that's your call.

Nonetheless, I wish you good luck.

Αν έχει τα κότσια η ΕΚΤ, ας βγει αύριο να πει ότι το 500άρικο παύει να είναι legal tender και να τα επιστρέψει όλα ο κόσμος στις τράπεζες μέχρι την 31/12/2024.

Δεν θα το κάνουν όμως... και ξέρεις γιατί;

69  Local / Ελληνικά (Greek) / Re: Cash fungibility... on: May 06, 2024, 08:35:34 PM

70  Local / Ελληνικά (Greek) / Re: Cash fungibility... on: May 04, 2024, 06:37:15 PM

71  Economy / Gambling / Re: BC.Game asking for KYC before letting me Withdraw on: May 04, 2024, 05:34:27 PM
I understand your frustration at this point. Don't worry, though; I highly doubt you'll lose your money. Unfortunately, chat support agents are either AI or script based, meaning they'll just follow the script, and you'll receive the same generic information over and over. As others already suggested, try reaching them through the forum (which you already did through their ANN thread) or other social media, and perhaps you could talk to someone who's able to escalate the situation to upper management.

Where are you from, if you don't mind me asking? I find it strange that your government ID isn't accepted (at first you said you didn't have one; did I understand correctly?). Our IDs in Greece are also outdated, and I've faced similar issues before where a passport was requested, but I don't have one. In the worst-case scenario, you'll have to go through the renewal process and re-attempt to complete the KYC process.
72  Economy / Gambling / Re: How Crypto casino market themselves? on: May 04, 2024, 04:12:48 PM
Google's ban on crypto casinos? I am now curious because this is the second time I am reading a thing like this. Maybe it is about different jurisdictions because nothing like that is happening in my country, and as far as I know, it is not happening in many countries as well. As we know of late, the EU, India and some other countries are trying to enforce some effects on the giant tech companies, which might be one of the reasons for this and could only affect those people using the IPs of those regions. On another thought, the VPN is a very good factor one should consider here because you might be in Asia and be using one of the EU's countries' IPs, which could cause that experience as well. But for me, I have never seen any Google restriction effect whatsoever relating to crypto casinos in my everyday Google activities and searches.
Google has banned cryptocurrency casino related advertisements, not the casinos themselves. To be honest, I don't recall seeing cryptocurrency advertisements in general, although if I remember correctly, some measures were eased quite a while ago. I'm using a private DNS to access most cryptocurrency casinos, I'm a little sceptical regarding VPNs, unless they're paid ones, because free ones are overly saturated and you run the risk of being accused of multiaccounting, due to your account appearing with the same IP as someone else.
73  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What will you do if you find yourself in a similar situation like this? on: May 04, 2024, 03:21:03 PM
Well, first things first, he has broken an important bond with his parents, they'll never ever trust him again, especially with anything that involves money. My first option in this case would be to work my ass off and recoup every single penny back. I believe it goes without saying that I'd stop any gambling activities, promise to never ever let myself go again, and even consider asking for assistance from a professional. Someone who recklessly gambles away all their parent's savings isn't in their rights mind, they're addicted.
74  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sports betting for reality not club affection on: May 04, 2024, 01:56:10 PM
I have a personal favorite team in football, and depending on who's playing against it, I'll make a bet. If the chances of winning are slim, I'd rather not participate, even though it's my team. Last week it was playing against a team I'd consider to have had a similar performance, so I decided to go for it. The match ended in a tie, and I lost my bet. My point is that when it comes to money, I don't have a favorite one; I go where there's money to be made.

My main goal is earning money, entertainment is important, but in these cases comes second.
75  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: trustdice.io closed my account after winning at casino roulette on: May 04, 2024, 11:49:52 AM
As the previous poster already suggested, this isn't the appropriate board; move it to the scam accusations to receive better responses as well. I used to use Trustdice a couple of years ago, but I don't remember and never faced any issues. I'm not implying that you're lying, but you need to back up your claims with the appropriate evidence, emails, screenshots, chat transcripts, or anything else you have. Then, we'll need to hear both sides of the story. Were you using a VPN by any chance? It could possibly be the cause of appearing like you're multiaccounting, provided that you're telling the truth.
76  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are Nassim Taleb's ideas useful in gambling? on: May 04, 2024, 08:47:43 AM
Yes, perhaps some of the ideas of philosopher and writer Nassim Taleb can be applied to gambling.
For example, one of Taleb’s most famous concepts is the “Black Swan” concept.  A black swan is an unexpected event that leads to great consequences in people's lives.  As a result of cognitive distortions, people consider the occurrence of such an event to be less likely than it actually is.
A gambler can take advantage of these cognitive distortions (which cause people to misjudge the probabilities of events), for example, in sports betting.
Searching for “Black Swans” is generally an exciting and very profitable activity!
He's not a philosopher; he is a mathematical statistician who devoted his work to problems of randomness, probability, and uncertainty, and if I'm honest, I hadn't heard of him before I read this thread. His views regarding probabilities are extremely intriguing, and I'd be interested in reading some of his publications, especially The Black Swan, which, according to his book, "focuses on the extreme impact of rare and unpredictable outlier events—and the human tendency to find simplistic explanations for these events.".

Personally, I could only relate to the "fooled by randomness" theory, which is something we've all experienced in one way or another, and it's often a topic of discussion about how we're being "cheated" when we wager larger amounts and lose.
77  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Which device do you prefer for gambling ? on: May 04, 2024, 06:47:47 AM
Some websites that were designed many years ago don’t really scale well on mobile devices. There are also newer casinos that are better optimized for mobile and have larger UI elements. There isn’t necessarily one device which is always better but it will just depend on which website you are on.

A phone or tablet gives you more freedom to move around so for convenience it is a better option.
That's true, but most major casinos have developed mobile-friendly websites that scale on your smartphone's screen; thus, the number that hasn't is probably minor. Phones are the leading devices now; tablets are out of fashion, and their audience is shrinking. They don't serve any specific purpose, except for being larger than a smartphone. I personally use my phone and occasionally my personal computer (a laptop in this case). We do pretty much everything on our phones nowadays; if you were to ask me 3 to 4 years ago, I'd probably say the opposite; I used to spend quite some time in front of a computer screen.
78  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Streamers using demo account on: May 03, 2024, 09:25:55 PM
Well, can I say that I'm not surprised? It's not unusual for streamers to be monetized by well-known casinos in order to promote them, and, to be honest, there's nothing wrong with that. However, using a demo account and tampering with the winning odds is not only immoral by the casino, but from the streamer who agrees to do it for money as well, it's a borderline scam.

This isn't something I've heard before. I'm not keen on watching streams; I don't find them entertaining, plus I don't really fancy all this promotion going on, but as I've said, I'm not amused by the news. Some people will go to great lengths for money, but this is completely wrong. You're playing mind games with your viewers, tricking them into believing that they can yield the same returns as you, but that couldn't be further from the truth.
79  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Be careful using Binance & Centralized Exchange on: May 03, 2024, 08:37:27 PM
As others have already suggested, you're lucky that you were allowed to withdraw the funds. I believed that people would have learned their lesson after having their accounts go under investigation when the whole mixer situation occurred. That's on you, not the exchange to blame.

Receiving funds directly on exchanges isn't advisable, and I believe you now understand why. On top of that, centralized exchanges have all your personal details, and receiving such amounts of cryptocurrency from unknown sources could raise red flags in your account, and you may also be subject to paying income tax if you were put under further investigation.
80  Economy / Gambling / Re: How Crypto casino market themselves? on: May 03, 2024, 07:48:58 PM
I dont know if its really been that changed or updated but based up on research this is the only information i do get.

Games that promote NFT wagering or staking in exchange for the opportunity to win anything of real-world value (including other NFTs);
Games that allow players to stake NFTs in exchange for other digital currencies, including the promotion of “social casino games” that reward players with an NFT;
Games that simulate casino gambling, such as poker, slots, or roulette that allow players to potentially win an NFT;
Games that promote “real money gambling” destinations, including gambling-related advertisements that appear on your game’s destination.

Source: https://nftnow.com/news/google-allows-nft-gaming-ads-updated-policy/

This might not directly talking about NFT related but basing up with that gambling related ads then it seems that they would really be needing up to comply something?
You're right, I can't recall what kind of advertisement it was, but it's unlikely that it was casino-related, but probably some kind of NFT. I tried to replicate it on Google and Facebook, but all the results are of all the major casinos known in my country, such as Stoiximan, Novibet, or Bet365. I am not sure if those are international or not, but they are permitted by the government and go as far as withholding a percentage of your earnings as income tax during the withdrawal process.

It's frustrating that even in this day and age, where cryptocurrencies are booming, many related services are banned for undefined reasons.
