61  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why is the price of bitcoin so high on: July 15, 2018, 05:43:46 PM
It is not, go and make one and then you will find out. Why is your wage so high?
62  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Litecoin $ 1.000,00 this year on: July 15, 2018, 05:42:05 PM
It wont go anywhere near it until the next block reward is cut in halve in a years time.

This is like leasing or buying.

XRP you will never own, just like a casino chip will always belong to the casino so does xrp always belong to Ripple.
LTC if you in control of the private key it is 100% yours, you own it.

Do not be afraid to sell bitcoin

What an inconsistent mess of numbers. Don't drink-and-trade!
It seems he have a wexing to deal with. Almost 8k for a bitcoin on wex.nz something is not right on that exchange.
Is the renamed BTC-e (wex) the oldest bitcoin exchange at the moment?

................BTC is really only meant to be used  as a store of value and to transact with large sums of value. So scaling is not necessary. The wealthy do not mind paying the high transaction fees to move large sums of value around. Also, according to his arguments, the wealthy elite don't want some platform that is going to constantly be changing. They would prefer something that is immutable and demonstrated to be secure. When changes are constantly introduced, it is possible to have some insecure vulnerability be introduced and have some black hat exploit it..................
Thats more or less how i see it. Do away with the banks but use preloaded visa, mastercard cards, topped up once a month or whenever desired from your own bitcoin bank. Use existing infrastructure and scaling issues done away with in in instant.
Most likely it will work out like this by default anyway as inflation intensifies and more people store wealth on deflationary bitcoin.

What should I buy, the trezor https://amzn.to/2NdhnKE or save some money and get this keypay wallet https://amzn.to/2ulIMmQ ?

Have you considered the minimalist Digital Bitbox. Without inbuild screen, looks like a ordinary usb stick.

For something to be considered an investment the total available must be know otherwise its a gamble.
Makes a difference if i buy one Mona Lisa or one from a thousand.
69  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Top 3 coins in 2020? on: July 11, 2018, 05:50:23 PM
Its just amazing how many still completely clueless about crypto-currency.
Crypto-currency is to be 100% in charge of your wealth and not rely on others like banks, exchanges, company's....
Whoever has the (private) key is in control of the funds.
Most fail to even differentiate between a coin and a token. The question is top 3 coins in 2020 and the amount of token responses is just crazy.

One thing is certain, the two lines will meet again.
Either red line moving up, which would be a slow tortuous process, or orange line goes for a quick kiss and meet, or a combo of the two.
Take your pick

why do you think the growth is linear? here is a curve I have created. This curve is very primitive of course (I spent 2 min. for it) but it is very clear that the increase of the price is not linear. r^2=0.886 by the way

I did not say growth is linear.
I am willing to take any bet that at some stage the two lines will touch again.

72  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Uneducated people join Cryptocurrency? on: July 11, 2018, 06:37:09 AM
I guess as long as you not understand the importance and are in charge of the private key you are uneducated about crypto.

Why is crypto making the world go crazy?
As long as you hold the private key, you in charge\control of your wealth. Also Bitcoin and a few others are deflationary (supply halving every 4 years) and not lose part of your wealth to inflation.
74  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: RIPPLE OR LITECOIN on: July 11, 2018, 06:15:33 AM
Crypto is all about be your own bank.
Be in charge of your wealth by holding the private key and not relay on banks, exchanges  or other shady people on internet.
The very essence no-one else can stop or run away with my funds for any reason.
75  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Long Term Invests on: July 06, 2018, 04:32:19 AM
long term, whatever your definition of it is, check coin emission rate for that time must be well below fiat otherwise your done.
main reason to be in crypto is to escape inflation  loss of 2% or more of your wealth annually.
by 2030 or so bitcoin has 0.4 % or something like it, coin emission rate.
76  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: July 01, 2018, 08:00:12 PM
So far this has been the longest downward period
77  Economy / Speculation / Re: The end of worlcup 2018. BTC will be down to $ 2k. on: June 28, 2018, 05:14:49 PM
No it will go to $4xxx before prolonged side-way movement.
78  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Litecoin on: June 28, 2018, 05:12:39 PM
I am not optimistic about the future of the Litecoin token.
So for now, I will not invest in this token.
Its a proper coin and not a just a token. It helps to get at least the basics right.

OT: Here's video of a cute market analyst talking about the current Chinese stock market.
https://www.bloomberg.com/news/videos/2018-06-28/are-china-markets-having-a-2015-moment-video

Notice that through the entire short video, there's absolutely no discussion at all of the actual underlying Chinese economy itself and whether the market accurately reflects it or not. Just a bunch of blather about possible de-leveraging and the Chinese government's ability to manage the markets effectively or not.

Point? Fake, propped up market completely decoupled from reality.
Yup, thought she was a 7 at first, but then she started talking. 6/10 would not invest.

Every year China financial analysts bet each other on the 2nd and 3rd figures in the growth figures to be announced. Obviously it's gonna be 6.8something percent, but what exactly? 6.811%? 6.873%?

also ot: a great if old report on China consumer https://twitter.com/3747S_14458E/status/1012295079996764161
China, double figure grow at any price, yes thats right no room on bicycle way because of bicycles.

Lets not even talk about the cityes build in some remote place and can house millions
