Add Hawaii. Thanks!
Add Hawaii. Thanks!
Yes please do so I can mine something with 390's being for some reason I no longer get 30mh mining eth
62  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][DCR] Decred - Community Governance | Bitcoin Devs | Lightning Network on: December 22, 2018, 02:32:23 PM
The price of staking tickets should be lower it's almost $2000 to buy a ticket how exactly is this decentralized it looks like a rich get richer type of staking
63  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's Dual Ethereum AMD+NVIDIA GPU Miner v11.9 (Windows/Linux) on: December 19, 2018, 01:41:52 AM
Is anyone still mining with r9 390 if so what are your hashrate I'm only getting 25 which I could swear I was getting 30 awhile back, maybe I'll switch back to blockchain beta drivers
64  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: WHALESBURG SMART MINING POOL on: December 18, 2018, 04:34:07 PM
Hi I really like your pool and just registered but I have a question I have a rig with mixed 3gb and 6gb 1060's also with a few 1070's now etc can't be mined with 3gb but eth can and all my other rigs are amd with 4gb ang 8gb so is there anyway to have one rig mine everything else but etc

EDIT: Didn't see above that you would be releasing a update for 3gb card miners

Hi!
We are going to launch a new port for 3gb cards soon. So you could mine coins with compatible DAG-file size with no disconnections.

Whalesburg Support Team
Awesome thanks I've been mining on your pool for a few days and love it I'm also going to buy some WBT tokens how do we add them to our account just hold in the same wallet that's linked for payouts
65  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: PhoenixMiner 4.0b: fastest Ethereum/Ethash miner with lowest devfee (Win/Linux) on: December 18, 2018, 11:58:27 AM
I use phoenixminer 4.0b and right now I can't mine ETH with 3GB of VRAM (GTX 1060) on Windows 7 anymore. I'm going to switch to Ubuntu 16.04 immediately.

That will just give you 2 more months...why not immediately switch to something else?

2 months is enough to sell those gpus and replace it with a bigger vram.  Grin
Thankfully I only have 2 1060 3gb I'm either going to sell and upgrade or maybe buy some more to add to the 2 and mine something else

I no these are dinosaurs but anyone try r9 270/280 on x22i
67  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [ETC] Ethereum Classic: Immutable Smart Contracts on: December 15, 2018, 02:19:00 PM
I think right now the best coin to mine and hold is ETC because it will most likely go up ICO's are scared to use ETH now because it dropped so much most of the projects are now going to be bankrupt so new projects will be looking for another chain for their tokens not to mention ETH's switch to POS most project's that use pos the only way to make any profits is to have a large amount to stake and DPOS I think is centralized only a handful of nodes will be able to collect mining rewards, SO like I said ETC will only go UP

Edit: Also if no one thinks that Dan Larimer didn't run a year long ICO just to collect as much ETH than try to sink ETH better think again he couldn't face the fact that Vitalik Buterin built a better project

69  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [AMD/Nvidia/CPU] FinMiner on: December 14, 2018, 12:00:25 PM
If running finminer in hiveos how can I gpu mine one coin and cpu mine pasc because your only allowed to run one instance of a miner in each flight sheet is there a command I can put in additional command section or would I have to run a different miner for gpu mining and finminer for pasc

If you mean this https://drive.google.com/open?id=1bcW4xlRn7BfjtfKv-SsF6iNn88O2A5mk
You need to use Finminer from mainline for PASC and custom miner (also FinMiner, but the version 2.4.0) for other coin.
Ok thanks I forgot I could choose the finminer in custom miners for eth, but I'll say I got better hashrates with finminer than claymore or phoenixminer

71  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Acorn M.2 FPGA based GPU Accelerator on: December 11, 2018, 07:18:55 PM
those who bought and kept them knew the risk when we rolled the dice. and the dice are still rolling. software will come out. as for roi, if i lose 99% of what i put in, oh well. it was an amount i was willing to lose. annoying for sure, but nothing to lose sleep over.

Definitely agree it's a bet to have the ultimate hedge, and at even $~$300 it was a cheap bet. It's at minimum a great tool to learn as we all can see the writing on the wall, fpga is the future of most mining. If this just teaches me how to load bitstreams and configure them I much rather do it on $300 hardware before I do it on $5000+ hardware.

agreed. i think fpga, with or without gpu assist, is minings future, and fpga are different beasts with different rig requirements. and if/when the next bear run occurs, those that understand how the tech runs will be ahead. $300 for an acorn to get in the game now and start learning is a no brainer to me.

last bull run gpus were almost impossible to get. and thats with nvidia and amd shoveling them out the door as fast as they could. if this happens again.. well there are a lot less fpgas to be had than there were gpus. having a few fpgas and knowing their limitations, strengths and needs will make a big difference. try building a good fpga or fpga boosted gpu based system without knowing what they need or how they function.. have fun. sure guides for noobs will come out but too late for many.
Ya but what about the fact that most coin dev's are doing what they can to keep asic and fpga's off their chain fpga's will never be a decentralized miner until one come's out that don't cost $4000-$5000 especially right now once they start flooding the chain profits are going to be shit and it'll take 10 years to ROI
72  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: DIY FPGA Mining rig for any algorithm with fast ROI on: December 11, 2018, 07:11:34 PM
And here's the crazy part they are just getting delivered and now the coin devs are doing what they can to make sure fpga's and asic's dont mine on their chains so the fpga's are going to be fighting with asic for profits
73  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's CryptoNote AMD GPU Miner v11.3 on: December 10, 2018, 01:50:35 AM
What gets me is he asked before the fork if anyone new of testing pools myself and a few others gave pools to test and here still nothing

It's probably because the crypto prices fell further and he figures there won't be much demand for his software.

I've tried the alternate miners and they are a little different but they work at least. However with the recent price slump I just shut everything down together. And I am sure others have also.

I get it but some of us have seen this before with gpu mining I remember when I first started mining everyone was mining scrypt coins with their gpu's than asic came out and profits sunk than x11, x13 and other algos came out for gpu miners than asic came out for those now where seeing the same trend asic are out shiting on gpu miners only to have new algos and devs fork their chains to fight them the point is claymore can't make a shit load of money of us gpu miners than when shit hits the fan bail because once things pan out and gpu miners profits go up either because of the market or new algos expect to come back and have everyone jump back on board with his miners ppl will remember when shit got rough what devs stuck it out with them
74  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [ETC] Ethereum Classic: Immutable Smart Contracts on: December 09, 2018, 11:20:09 PM
Its crazy ppl are getting worried that etcdev through in the towel does anyone actually check out projects before they invest if they did they wouldn't be worried at all there's like what three other teams working on development for ETC
75  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: ✅✅✅[ANN] GIF [ANN]GIFcoin ICO - Gambling Investment Fund[LIVE] ✅✅✅ on: December 08, 2018, 05:48:50 PM
So is there any news regarding dividend or anything.

How is the betting office doing? Did they share any news regarding that?

if you want any info you should go to the telegram group. what i know this year is a very low dividend in eth/gif or if investors want no dividend so the team have more money for marketing next year.
Well the problem is a few months back gif team members stated that as long as you hold gif you'll receive profit share well the last few weeks a few ppl have asked about it and now it seems they dont want to answer the question not to mention their going to do another token sale next year I mean they keep selling and are supposed to have this great betting site what's the issue with profit share they also started that egold ico I mean really how much money do they need to me if they dont profit share to all ppl holding gif they lied and are pulling a scam
76  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: If BTC doesn't close this week above $3000 gpu mining is done on: December 08, 2018, 12:50:28 AM
Since I started mining gpu mining was supposed to die at least 3 times and I stuck through it why because to some of us we aren't here just to turn a profit we do it because we like to and believe in crypto and what it stands for also some people gamble, golf or some other hobby that cost money well I play with my miners
77  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Sia - Decentralized Storage on: December 07, 2018, 02:53:45 PM
Sia is a great project with a company behind it, institutional money will come in at some point in the future if they can act together

I'd say you were a great comedian, but you probably believe your own statement.  Brad: you will appreciate this -- it is coming up on the one-month-away from when I paid Obelisk for my SIA miner.  What do they send me in my email inbox?  An offer to buy an upgrade board for my miner, which has yet to ship.  Or, they will buy back my as yet unshipped miner for $300.  Swell, I'd love to light several hundred dollar bills on fire, what a great idea.

Because nothing screams we are really focused on getting the product you paid for out the door like announcing new products for the item that I already paid for and which STILL hans't shipped.  Clue #2 is the stale 'if you need support, come join Discord, yeah!'

Clue #3 is that it would be trivial to put a spreadsheet grid up on the Obelisk site that let anyone see which orders (by order number and order date) had shipped, and which had not.  I don't see anything like that.  I write to "support" and I am directed towards vague postings, vague promises about the end of November, and such.

Here is what I think based on the evidence to date:  they don't have their act together, it would take someone with the brains of Netflix to offer to buy them out.  Amazon is not Netflix.

Edit:  Another way to view this announcement is beta board v1 sucks. Doesn't make sense to make more of them.  So let's give the suckers who paid almost a year ago these choices:  pay MORE money for a decent board, the v2 board, or if you have really lost all patience, we will refund you $300, because we can take those unshipped units and give them to the hold-outs who want a miner but feel insulted that we want them to pay all over again for the v2 board.
I think this whole obelisk miner thing is bullshit they got pissed at bitmain for releasing a better miner faster than decided to screw over the miners who bought it by resetting the difficulty so there miners would only work if this is centralized I dont know what is

And did this with a hidden secret circuit makes you think what else do they have hidden in their asic miners, miners for years have said bitmain is able to track and shut down your miner if wanted well this proves one company can
78  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: NanoX version v1.0.2 amd scam on: December 06, 2018, 11:36:22 AM
This is the reason why anyone running a miner should do so on a dedicated mining rig with zero personal info so if a miner is later discovered to be a scam the scammer didn't get personal info and you can wipe the drive

Hi,

We have now opened registrations for our hash renting service called HashTap™ (https://www.hashtap.ca/) This service is aimed to be a spec miners paradise allowing you to rent hash on 40+ algorithms from the miners of zpool.ca.  Keep in mind, you can not rent hash from HashTap™ and point it at zpool.ca.  We're in the early stages so please, if you find any issues use the HashTap™ support channel once it's opened up.

Cheers
This is awesome and should bring more miners to the pool I no you have a profit section and I like the new look but I find it harder to figure out which algo is paying the best is there anyway you could add a spot or page that says the most profitable algo for amd and nvidia doesn't have to be a big list just the top 1 or 2 algos this way we dont have to go through all the algos with a calculator
80  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: WildRig Multi: new miner for AMD with multialgo support on: December 04, 2018, 01:20:45 AM
I'm running my gigabyte 560 4gb on x22i along with the rest of my cards but I'm wondering if you where thinking to add the new sia there's not alot of obelisk miners out there so I was wondering if adding gpu's on the chain could make a few coins
