61  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][POOL] Mining Pool Hub - Multipool. Multialgo, Auto Exchange to any coin. on: February 01, 2018, 08:29:45 AM
Does anyone know if you get affected by PPLNS system if you mine to multi algo switch port on MPH? It counts as mining on one pool or as mining on different pools, and hence switching undermines your payment due to PPLNS?

yes, you will, it is a bad implementation of multipool.

for xmr-stak:

nicehash_nonce : false
use_tls : true
tls_secure_algo : true
pool_address : europe.cryptonight-hub.multi...com:17024
wallet_address : username.1
pool_password : x

where 1 is created hub worker with default job and password x
62  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's ZCash/BTG GPU Miner v12.6 (Windows/Linux) on: January 29, 2018, 02:21:22 PM
for some reason one rig cannot mine zen or btg on multipoolhub and equihash on nicehash, zcash and zclassic works fine, -allpools 1 won't change, gpu load is flat line and miner says 20s work time out, tripple checked ports' numbers and tested on another.

Well i finally figured out how what others were saying about payout worked.

Then i thought about how Zpool was out of coins and then the payout scheme didnt make sense until i actually calculated a buy sell on Bittrexx and noticed the amounts to be the same.

So here is What Zpool is PROBABLY doing.

You mine 1 coin of A and get paid in .8 coin of B,
the coins are similar but with fees and all that you get less. The fees seem to not add up though.

So what i did was actually sold coin A and bought coin B with btc....
And guess what??? the coin bought was practically the same amount.

So Zpool has both coins and when you get paid in a coin they hold. They are CHARGING you the fees for if they sold what you mined and bought the coin you want payment in..

Which they are not doing as is clear by them being out of coins. So basically they are keeping the buy sell fees for themselves on top of the 2% they clear. Oh and i guess on top of the Dev Fee they now put in their
miner.

LOL

Greed is what gets you caught.

the LOL part is when you expect someone to donate you those coins instead buying them as if it was you...

zpool's API has some kind of limitation on it. If you poll it too quickly it returns nothing.  Thus, appearing down.

If my miner has just polled the API, and then I restart it, 9 times out of 10 the API return is blank.  Yes, it's very annoying.

1 query every 10s is the limit.

it is obvious that your retries are exactly 10 seconds apart, make them 15-20 and it will work fine most of the time.

I Am new to mining and using Nvidia cards GTX 1070 total 4cards i want to ask
whether Nvidia cards software version affects the hashrate? because mine is updated version 390 while in zpool website i didnt see anyone using this version
also please help how to calculate daily profit for the currency i am mining example CRC coin which shows (0.45790) what does this means?
thanks

Driver version can have an effect on hash rate. Though from personal experience, it's usually negligible. I'd guess the reason you see older versions in the benchmark data is mainly that it doesn't pose any benefit to do frequent driver upgrades. It'd just be wasted time. Especially for a rig which has many GPUs and a weak CPU. Upgrading can take a long time in certain cases. And then there's the risk that the newer driver will be buggy or introduce new problems.

"If it ain't broken, don't fix it."

As for neoscrypt profitability, multiply 0.45790 by your hashrate in MH/s, and the result is the value you would receive after a day of mining if that profitability estimate holds true, measured in milliBTC or mBTC. If you're being paid in something other than BTC, you'll get the equivalent amount of that coin when it's added to your balance.

thanks for the feedback

for neoscrypt mining using Nvidia 1070 (4 card) i am getting 3080.4 kH/s. Is it good enough? also which miner will you recommend for these nvidia cards.

on top of pool page, there is a benchmark section, check there, also click on miners then on algo, you'll see types of miners connected and versions.

Anyone knows if ETN is working for auto-switch on cryptonight? Only monero shows a port.

it won't switch, because cryptopia is not one of the three exchanges that pool uses.

[2] send from same address to same address 0.0001 BTC, then check their ub explorer, then import private key(after you secure BTC to another address)
[q1] yes, if you moved funds to another own address, you can claim by sending some back to original address
[q2] they will send ub to same address with ballance @ #498777, you will have to import private key to get them

if for some reason you had transaction between Block 494000 and Block 498777, which returns change to sending address, you already have ubtc, check ubtc block explorer

m7m MAGi taken offline as it looks like they have some chain issues now.

can you set api to show 0 when you shutdown coins, otherwise algoswitch got stuck retrying to connect.

read yaamp topic, code was written to be protective towards small coins, what you preffer put all that Gh/Th on one coin, so other would die till 0 difficulty then whale that Gh/Th on those coins and produce mass fork and kill them one by one or keep them alive with marginal % of your total hashpower and hope for better day, just check % of total hashrate put on those small coins.
71  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][POOL] Mining Pool Hub - Multipool. Multialgo, Auto Exchange to any coin. on: November 14, 2017, 07:53:01 AM
As pool is using PPLNS system for payouts, the 17xxx ports will only switch to the most profitable when a block is found on the currently mined one. This is to prevent users losing their shares submitted (losing credits due to early switching) and it is considered to be a smarter and better way of mining.

Maybe MPH has a plan to add coins in the future, maybe he just doesn't want to in order to save on the storage bill or keep the server loads low, who knows? We have an almost endless list of good coins waiting to be added for months, some of them are requested over 6 months ago. You can request them here but don't expect them to be added any time soon.

The pool indeed has a very limited set of coins for each algo. I guess, we either try to manage it here or find another pool or set of pools. After many years of being a vocal and loyal user of MPH, I had to realise that this pool is stalling out and despite my kind warnings to MPH, this pool does not want to keep its relevance in the game. I, for one, am switching between a few pools and this one now depending on profitability. It is not ideal, requires extra manual work but at least the payouts are much better. Sorry MPH, I am not going to lie, you will slowly lose your users. 90% of my hashrate is already somewhere else in average.

miners will lose credit when they return from mining another coin - first rounds will be paid less, PPLNS on multiport is DONE WRONG, it should sum shares on all equal algos, not like it is now on individual basis.

just wondering, can we be paid in USDT Tethers, those are convertible into BTC with low fees, that will cut you tx costs too, but will increase counterparty risk because of questionable issuer/bittrex/

The BTC Airdrop of 50%

There are some confusions about our incoming BTC Snapshot and the following airdrop of 50% for every bitcoin.

1. We recommend EVERYONE to move the btc from the wallet before you redeem your privkey for Bitcore.

2. Read it exactly; you can claim your Bitcore a LIFETIME. So, if you dont feel comfortable to pick up your BTX directly after airdrop, so why not in one year?

Greetz

Your Bitcore Team

you can send rest, not claimed by signing one week later, this will save us from having to spend hundreds of inputs on our bitcoin wallets!

you choose algo, pool serves you coins to mine, you can only pick in which currency to be paid, if you want to mine only OZC, find another pool or mine it solo yourself.

best payout option is in BTC.

why its not a fork?
BTC hardfork will produce BGOLD. Its all over the news.

Too many projects parasitize on bitcoin and his fork. And all of them looks scammy.

The number of bitcoin hard forks is starting to get a little ridiculous. That being said, I have been saying for a while that Bitcoin isn't the end all to be all and it is far easier to create anew than to constantly battle inevitable changes. It almost reminds me the continual fight in congress to increase the debt ceiling. It keeps coming up and to me this is the same with cryptocurrency and scaling. That is why bitcore is so nice because there will be no scaling issues for the forseeable future since it can currently handle 22.2 billion transactions per year.

bitcore has built in tx fee, which may become a problem when price rises, I don't see a problem why you can't send 0 fee transactions with those empty blocks...
