62  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is it a double top? on: July 22, 2015, 04:04:46 PM
Double top matters in progressive uptrend.

"With any reversal pattern, there must be an existing trend to reverse. In the case of the Double Top Reversal, a significant uptrend of several months should be in place."

this.

Hi Luc (and fellow BTCers),

What course of study would you recommend for a novice analyst with less than one year trading experience? I'd like to make trading my full time job but the amount of information out there is overwhelming. It's often hard to separate the wheat from the chaff (lunar cycles anyone?). Any advice would be much appreciated.

honestly if you are asking that question, you shouldn't be trading... especially bitcoin. best way to lose your money. 95% of the people who think they are smarter than the market lose money trading it....
get a practice account for forex and try strategies out until you get one that works.
For bitcoin, just buy and hold.

if that cartoon was made based on the history of bitcoin... it would be the opposite way around  Tongue

Where did you get these time frames from Ryn? EW is never good with timeframes...
66  Economy / Speculation / Re: Analysis never ends on: July 15, 2015, 06:13:43 AM
Without this thread I think I'd already was dead, because last bubble informational and emotional pressure put me in deep hypertensive crisis despite I earned a lot of money.

Sorry to hear that Lucif. Know that you are not alone with the burden that comes with such an experience. Thanks for doing what you do.
67  Economy / Speculation / Re: Analysis never ends on: July 14, 2015, 08:45:37 PM
I have never saw so bullish Lucif. Looks like he has sold his account.
Roll Eyes I do seem to recall him being similarly bullish at one point - in October 2013 just at the very start of the bubble rise to $1200.

Yeah this was pretty spot on.

I reviewed masterluc's posts in oct-dec '13 and I have to say, it was like reading a crystal ball. Here is luc calling the top on Dec 4:

I think it should reach $2k-$4k in near future in a final push, especially if it will draw a triangle now 7-14 days long.

But I don't want to take a part in further market actions. I reached all my targets, dreams and so on. And now I cashed out for 80%. Thanks China. Thanks US Senate. Thanks uncle Ben, I like your Franklins in my hands.

I think selling in wave 4 of final historical 5 is not bad. I left 20% coins for final wave.

Ah, of course thanks Satoshi and community, but I am still here =) Next entering point for me is in 2016-2017 year.

Yes, it's once in lifetime epic event. And I am happy I was participated. Such stories live in generations.

I thought the end will have more epic start. Third day in a row I wake up, see charts and ask myself "Is this the end?" and third day in a row answer is "Yes".

This was indeed a great call from him, but...

Despite all the respect I have for masterluc/lucif and the great stuff he's taking care to share with us. You should know that everybody make mistakes and, like every of us, he already made some in the past like beeing a long lasting bear between december 2012 -february 2013[1] missing a big part of the first bubble of 2013 (i.e. short between 13 to 25$ and more)

I just wanted to remember that to the person who are blindly glorifying masterluc as the "chosen one" guru. At some point you could end complaining like this guy: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=131065.msg1521185#msg1521185

And yeah it's part of the game. Do your homeworks first !!

[1] Check the 35 first pages of the first version of this thread called "yet another analyst" started by lucif/masterluc.
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=131065

You will notice that I have been there since page 1 on his first thread and I'm still here listening to this guy. In fact, I have really come around to appreciating the fact that TA works because of guys like him. Noone is right 100% of the time, nor can they be expected to be. Having a slight edge is everything in trading and IMO Luc is one of the very few that have it.

pls make another thread if you want to promote your own ideas so heavily like this...
69  Economy / Speculation / Re: Analysis never ends on: July 12, 2015, 10:33:32 AM
I don't understand. I thought the next bubble would usually produce a new ATH of at least 3x the previous one. Since that was 1200, this one should be between 3000 and 4000. Care to explain ?

i could be totally wrong, but i think hes saying we're gonna get to that 3x bubble through a series of smaller ones (head fakes, the first being smaller than ATH).  i think he compared it to 2012: in summer 2012 the price ran from $5 to $16 in August (ATH was $32 at the time, but this was still a small bubble), then crashed to $6, then quickly recovered en route to $266 in the first 2013 bubble.

this is what i understood as well.

For those who can't read german, it says that germans can now buy bitcoin via an ETN.

Higher prices lead to higher prices  Wink

Doesn't seem like it is 100% going to happen.

nothing is ever 100%. As mentioned in the comments on that thread however there are plenty of fundamental reasons why it can and should push through

Triangle on the hourly.

the line running through it below is the bear trend
75  Economy / Speculation / Re: Analysis never ends on: June 30, 2015, 04:26:47 PM
Wouldn't we be closer to this point?

No, its more about a quiet uncertain time after one or more waves that have tried and failed to pierce the downtrend. I think we are on the edge of going back up again in similar proportions to that time period in question.
76  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: June 30, 2015, 06:42:13 AM

Its doesnt mean a damn thing cos that bullrun to ~270$ (61.8% fib) has been expected for a while, btw log downtrend's ceiling is around 290$ now. Buy if you want, dude, but smart traders do know whats coming next, buying volume is too weak noway it will break 270$ so there will be a correction to low 250$ atleast then maybe some bull attempts if grexit happens after 5th july. You people forget about huge blocksize problem and a massive fight between core devs about block size which is a huge threat to the whole btc project and no large investor will come before that issue is being resolved.

you have much to learn about the irrational power of bitcoin. if you think you can apply normal rules from other venues like forex and stocks here you are going to get burned badly.
77  Economy / Speculation / Re: Analysis never ends on: June 30, 2015, 06:19:09 AM

To me this feels pretty similar to the time when it was hovering between 4-5 after the 32 bubble. I think the waves are becoming longer in time frame as time goes on however which would account for the length of time we are seeing in this range vs 2012.

As said above, self quotes are the best quotes ^^

tvbcof, TPTB, iCEBlow, MOA, kazukiPIMP?

i know they gotcha on Ignore but that's beside the point.  the point is for you to help me generate even more views and keep the thread front and center so more and moar ppl can view the poll results and so you can reinforce my importance and this thread to the community.

get with the character assassinations you thugs.

Not to give an opinion on the merit of the above posters, but have you weighed the benefits of page position versus the harm to the signal-to-noise ratio from continual acrimonious/low-content bickering? Even the harm to the reputation of this thread as the easiest place to quickly (i.e., without having to sort through many pages of noise) get abreast of the actually important happenings and debates in the space? Due to the existing quality the good name of the thread will only grow, pushing it ever high on the page, even without all the noise. The noise certainly helps keep the thread near the top but at the cost of threatening to ruin the main selling point of the thread.

bingo. I stopped watching this thread as closely because he engages the trolls. Makes the ignore button worthless =(

How else do you think they foisted the lie of Man Made Global Temperature Change on us?

Ray Charles could see that it's fake. same size bids every $0.50

why is that fake? could just be an accumulation strategy...
