65  Local / Mining (Nederlands) / Re: Publieke P2Pool in Belgie on: November 16, 2012, 06:46:04 PM

66  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: Flexible mining proxy on: November 15, 2012, 09:09:57 AM
Thanks for the release!  I'll dedicate some time to pulling and installing it tomorrow, and pass that money along once it's up.  After all, a promise is a promise Smiley  Thanks again.

Cool, thanks!  Hope the software works for you.

If you run into any trouble, let me know.  I intend to support the software I publish.  (That goes for everyone.)
Hi cdhowie,

Maybe i'm missing something, but after i installed the database and changed mysql parameters (login&passwd);
When typing the url in my browser http://127.0.0.1 i get the apache login window, askin for credentials, but whatever i try, it keeps coming back and i'm unable to login.
I tried changing the credentials in the config file, but even with default 'admin' + 'changeme' it does not work.

Is there anything else i should check or do before i'm able to login/use this software?

Any help would be great!

PS: i'm testing this on the most recent stable release of Xampp.

70  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: OpenCL Mining 0 khash/s on: November 11, 2012, 07:33:43 PM
That was supposed to say 60 mhash / sec, not khash.

I've been using those parameters and getting about 85 mhash / sec.
Maybe you can test with bfgminer with config settings just as mine, and test what you get in poclbm (guiminer) after you have used bfgminer with these settings.

It was only after i had used bfgminer that i had these settings. its like before=88.4Mhash/s, after=112.7Mhash/s
71  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: OpenCL Mining 0 khash/s on: November 11, 2012, 07:19:43 PM
Update: For some reason, guiminer works and I'm getting 60 khash / sec... why won't other miners work?
Not quite shore how to get it fixed with guiminer, but i'm runningt this card at 112,4Mhash/s
By default it wass running at the same speed as yours, then i set the correct settings for this card in guiminer it was running faster, 88.4Mhash/s with extra flags -v -f 1 -w128.

Now after testing with bfgminer i set my core speed to 866Mhz (default maximum is 675Mhz) i get 96Mhash/s.
Out of curiosity i opened guiminer again and i see that i now have 112Mhash/s still with extra flags -v -f 1 -w128.

So, i need to find a good way to define the core speeds without using bfgminer or Ati Catalist OverDrive.
Hope this info helps you getting your card running faster.

Is there anyone interested in "testing" Terracoin transactions? What I mean by that is = I have BTCs and I want TRCs. Any offer?

C'mon people, I don't wanna be stuck on just one yacht!  Grin
How mush do you offer for 20TRC?

Are you buying or selling?

If selling, .0001 BTC.
If buying, 1 BTC   Grin

I'm hoarding until there comes a good use for these.  I have faith in them.

haha, at that rate, i'd rather keep them for a while  Grin

Hello MasterX,

I guess the first idea is better. Just Moving codes up. I am also thinking about recovering codes, that already had been deleted. If you delete a still  valid code, it is kind of cumbersome to log in your MtGox account to get this deleted code back. I am thinking of a list and only part of this list is visible.

code_-2
code_-1
code_0
code_1
code_2
...
code_10

code_0 to code_10 are visible and the rest is not. This means deleting for example code_1 moves this code to code_0. The user is able to move codes up and codes down. So moving down the list you can get code_0 back. Just in case you deleted it unintentionally.

The idea with exchanging codes is inferior.

code_1
code_2
code_3
code_4

Now the user wants to have code_3 on top of the list. Just exchange these two codes.

code_3
code_2
code_1
code_4

I guess this would be much easier to implement.

But I want this feature that a user can recover a MtGox coupon code deleted unintentionally. I still have to think some more about this new feature.

Hello Andreas,

Thats kind of what i had in mind.

Btw, i just tested the 1920x1080 version.
I think it depends on wich os  the end user uses, but as i test it, it hangs over my task bar (using windows7).
The window buttons (min, max, close) are not completely visible, only like 2milimeter is visible of the upper window side.
For now i use the 1600x900 version on my 1920x1080 screen.

Cheers,
MasterX

Hi Andreas,

What do you think? My idea is to move all following MtGox codes up, if one of the MtGox coupon codes is deleted. So you can use them one by one.
Sounds good to me.

Or another idea would be, that users can exchange two of the codes. We have to think about a good concept first and then I can implement it.
Not shore what you mean by "users can exchange two of the codes".
You mean like 2 different users, or "one" user can change 2 codes --> like move them to another input field?

Cheers,
MasterX
78  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to mine namecoins? Help!!! on: October 31, 2012, 06:44:23 AM
The namecoind.exe runs as a daemon.
If you're running windows open another cmd window and navigate back to the namecoin folder.
Than type 'namecoind getinfo' if your conf file is setup right you should see it spit out your address, balance, block count, etc.

As far as mining is concerened it's the 'same' as bitcoin. You just need to get you payout address (which may be a bit trickier)

To get a payout address from namecoind, just open another command prompt and type:
Code:
namecoind getaccountaddress ""

This will give you the address of the default account.
You can ask namecoind for another address by issuing the following command:
Code:
namecoind getnewaddress

If you want to see how many blocks are downloaded, just type:
Code:
namecoind getblockcount

If you like to get some more info than just the block count, maybe you can try:
Code:
namecoind getinfo

If you want to check the complete list of commands type:
Code:
namecoind help

With this you should be able to get started...

Hello MasterX!

I already did the 1600 x 900 pixel window version of BTC-Trader. The others will follow. Take a look at the Download area.

Please note, that your screen resolution should exceed the one of BTC-Trader, if you want to use the window version.

Best regards

Andreas

Much better!
I like it!  Smiley
80  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoin Businesses and Developers, Let's Get Started! on: October 30, 2012, 12:27:19 AM
Hello MasterX!

Thanks for your reply about BTC-Trader. Well using different MtGox keys would be possible. Lets say you have 4 different API keys. I can change BTC-Trader to use 4 different password protected 7z-files in order to handle several API-Keys. Each key will be saved in another 7z file. For example: user01pw.7z, user02pw.7z, user03pw.7z and user04pw.7z

Then one user can handle several different API-Keys or you can even have different API-Keys for different users.

About the window mode:
Personally I like this fullscreen mode, because this way you will have maximum space for your objects on the screen. This mode is best, if your screen resolution is equal to the one of BTC-Trader. However it is sometimes annoying, if you have to tab out of the application several times! And if your screen resolution is higher than the one of BTC-Trader a windowed version of BTC-Trader would be desireable, because this small screen inside a large one looks kind of poor.

It's not a great effort to compile a windowed version. Lets start with one test-version. What screen resolution would you prefer for your windowed version of BTC-Trader?

About the charts:
Well, I don't exactly know yet how to implement charts into BTC-Trader. It may be some effort. What charts are you thinking about? Something like mtgoxlive.com/orders ?

But I also have another idea regarding the Bitinstant arbitrage: I use an Excel file to calculate if a Bitinstant transfer from MtGox to BTC-e would be profitable. I would like it to have this kind of calculator function integrated into BTC-Trader. This is my idea about a new function in BTC-Trader.

Regards

Andreas
Hello Andreas,

I do use most of my programs in full screen, but windowed full screen.
I would suggest to build a 1920x1080 version, as that's the version i use mainly.

As for the "self made keys" i meant, the mtgox key, as in "redeem key" or "withdraw key", not the api key, but multi user support would be nice also now that you've mentioned it;
Like for example to store the last 5 or 10 mtgox keys until they become invalid after the have been used.
Now when you generate a mtgox key (withdraw) it stays in the upper text field.
The idea is when opening that page the next time, or when generating another key, the key would move on tho the next text field, so it wont get lost and saved in the ini file under "MtGoxCode02=" instead of overwriting "MtGoxCode01=" with the last key generated.

For charts, i would suggest to choose for the most common chart type used in forex trading, "Chineese Candle Stick Charts" or eventually "bar charts" for example:

But i suppose therefore we need to store tick data somehow, could be on a server or local.
I was thinking about local data in the first place.
Wish would mean that chart data will not be available when starting up the application for the first time.
This i think, could only be accomplished if we let the application run 24/7, we would have gaps and false results if we close the application often, the data would be unreliable.
So i suppose the only option left is to have a tick data server wish serves as caching proxy for the data pulled from mtgox.

As for the idea about the excel calculator file, i saw you using it on one of the video's, that indeed would be nice to have it integrated.

Regards,
MasterX
