I think they manipulate the market when they have to, like when price went from $10k to $7.7k last month that was manipulation if you ask me, however after the price dropped to $7.7k then they didn't had to manipulate.
No one is manipulating the market. It's just the fact that the market has turned full bearish, which automatically translates into inherently bearish formations to have an even higher tendency of breaking down. There also isn't a central group that manipulates Bitcoin. If there was, that group would have a damn hard time steering the market into a direction that directly trades against the rest of the market. If we fall down like we have in the last couple of weeks, it's just an indication of lower demand. No point in blaming manipulators that aren't there. I wouldn't say it's 'losing value'. Inflation is a very normal thing to happen and just because it's occuring doesn't necessarily mean our dollar is worthless.
For example, some countries have the lowest inflation rates occuring right now and just because there are more bills in the economy, doesn't mean the economy is worth less or more.
I reckon we'll see cash being obsolete in a couple years and fiat and mobile payments quickly replace everything for several years.
I think OP is using the wrong words, not losing value or losing worth, because that is also experienced by every commodity or currency. Fiat losing of usage will be far more real. I myself the most anti person to save fiat for the long term, we know how prices of "goods" will getting more expensive in the future while fiat rates will always go down. while gold has a much more stable rate, and is safer as a long-term deposit, Also for bitcoin are getting more popular, in my opinion fiat will lose its usage over time. Our power is limitless as a citizen who pays taxes, we can't assure ourselves if the taxes that we are paying to the government is being use on its true purpose, it is exasperating because we want to do something about it to make it right but we can't do a thing since we are just normal citizens that is under the authority of the Government, we could shout our opinions and emotions about the taxes that are being stolen by the corrupt government official by rallying, however we can't make them to do the right thing if they are fools and trying to play being deaf.
I don't agree to what you said that we cannot do anything about it. We can really do something to the government officials to avoid experiencing the same thing from corrupt officials and that is to not vote them in the next election. It is us who put them on their position and for the next voting, we should be wise and just vote the candidates that are responsible enough to get the position and that is how we are going to make sure that everything will be alright.I don't think that's going to be that simple. I would argue/doubt that other citizens will agree to you, just because you said something. Don't forget that politicians are not the only corrupt, sometimes (most of the time) the citizens are the ones who corrupt themselves by voting a corrupt candidate in exchange for money.
