61  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: DAO to Countermove against Attacker. on: June 20, 2016, 10:44:06 PM
Brilliant. It's amazing and proof positive in ETH how all the Ethereum community are pulling together to counte move against those that attack it. DAO is not dead yet. Tomorrow I will be buying more DAO and ETH.

Looks like you are one of the bag holders, pumping up the price before your exit.
62  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ETH price soaring. Are you going to move some BTC into ETH? on: June 18, 2016, 06:32:03 PM
There are numerous exchanges that support ETH / USD.  Even BTC is only a drop in the pond compared to traditional banks and financial exchanges.

Looks like you are one of the ETH whales holding the bag for buyers.
63  Economy / Speculation / Re: Unnatural Bitcoin Price Growth Cannot Be Sustained Indefinitely on: June 17, 2016, 07:23:10 PM
It's relative term regard the growth is "unnatural" whatnot. Do you know how fast is the fiat press printing going? It seems perfect normal growth according to the current value.
64  Economy / Speculation / Re: Oldtimers, how does this rally make you feel? on: June 17, 2016, 01:50:29 PM
Recalled that back in April 1st, 2013, the price on bitcoinity passed $100. And it showed a joker photo. I thought it was a joke for few seconds.

1000 ant then moon

Mt. Everest then?
66  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin in 2020 on: June 16, 2016, 05:30:29 PM
The next production era (#3) will yield total of 2162500 coins by 2020, so little bit over 2.16 million bitcoins within 4 years. It can be easily consumed by few hedge funds based on today's value.
67  Economy / Speculation / Re: If u don't buy now you will regret it for your entire life on: June 03, 2016, 02:01:08 PM

Economic collapse can bring financial ruin if you don't hedge against it by securing your wealth by moving it into gold silver or Bitcoin.

Ask the people in Argentina, Cyprus or Zimbabwe how save it is to keep your 'money' at the banks.

Completely agreed with hedging. Just want to add that you also need to stack up guns and ammo, water, food etc.
68  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is trading just a form of gambling? on: June 02, 2016, 01:22:54 AM
Just to put this here: http://goo.gl/OKQGNb

Eventually, it's about how much exchanges get the profit from traders, house always wins.
69  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: May 02, 2016, 04:15:30 PM
I smell that the '2020 Trust Account' is the intention to keep the price depressed for the next 4 years.
70  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BREAKING NEWS: SATOSHI FINALLY REVEALED! on: May 02, 2016, 01:54:07 PM
Wonder if anyone has informed the Australian Taxation Office about this...

I'm sure Mr. Wright already planned out how to deal with the ATO, what kind of manoeuvre he's playing out with the government is more interesting in the coming days.

As he proclaimed to be the one, he can also claim that he lost all his keys in a boating accident. What kind of taxation consequence would he face?

Amount below 10 and above 1 should be "bitcorn expert". In honor of Dr. Mark T. Williams, the bitcoin expert and the expert in bitcoin.

LOL, really like the bottom one!
74  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Microsoft stops accepting Bitcoin in Windows Store on: March 14, 2016, 03:39:04 PM
Microsoft grew too big that there are always politics involved. Some staff has vision, some don't. It could simply be that majority of MS shareholders never have patience for anything to mature. Always short sighted for immediate returns.

Name any of their recent product that were decent. I cannot think of any. Even for things they wanted to innovate, they often fall short:
- Bill Gates first commercialized tablet, the Compaq one used by Tom Cruise in Collateral Damage, anyone still using it?
- Windows Mobile, anyone still using it?
- Windows Phone, they made v7 hardware incompatible with later versions. Why would anyone still buying those?
- Acquisition of Nokia, where is it now?
- Silverlight, they promoted heavily for Olympic Games, it's dead now.
- XBox One launch, "Fortunately we have a product for people who aren't able to get some form of connectivity, it's called Xbox 360."

Microsoft hardly able to make any bold move for a long time. This one is no exception.
75  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Butterfly Labs loses Lawsuit... 39 million on: February 20, 2016, 04:30:17 AM
Since Josh is working as a trainer at iFly, if an old BFL pre-order dude show up just to see if Josh still have a straight face would be great, hahaha!
76  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Hackers demand $3m bitcoin ransom from hospital to unlock vital files on: February 17, 2016, 05:40:32 PM
Healthcare industry is lucrative. Hackers demand ransom in bitcoin or not is not important.

On the other hand, companies like Oracle is ripping off this industry for quite some time, legally: http://goo.gl/Wmki5h If you search for Oracle licensing regarding healthcare, you won't find anything specific, but the pricing is very different from other industry.

Whoever in charge of this hospital's IT should be sacked.

78  Economy / Speculation / Re: Janet Yellen talking NIRP in USA on: February 11, 2016, 08:24:57 PM
And no response from Bitcoin?!?!?!

What the hell is wrong with Bitcoin?  Not good.  This blocksize issue is killing it.

Luckily I hedged myself with Ethereum and they seem to be benefitting from a rotation out of BTC and into ETH. Cool

What makes you think that ETH is a hedge? Given its complexity, once its price reach to a point, political infighting is inevitable.

Vitalik did not bother to extend features based on bitcoin, instead he started something from scratch. What prevent those ETH developers to not start their own coins based on their history?
79  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: January 08, 2016, 03:39:07 PM
I hadn't thought of asking my friends to pay for the meal then pay them in bitcoins. I usually have enough cash from localbitcoins for that.

That's not really living on bitcoins though. It's not really different from what you're doing with localbitcoins and may piss friends off.

Well, I've finally talked my landlord into accepting bitcoins for rent after a year living there. It's not like I come out of nowhere with it. I show them how I can live on it, give them the benefits but don't try to sell them. I just lead by example. Most of my friends think Bitcoin is a good idea but just say they wish they'd gotten in early (like there is no point to it now that the price is higher). My landlord invests in gold and oil and stocks so he likes the idea of being able to invest with the rent I pay him. And he travels to the US a lot so he likes the idea of being able to use Gyft.

Congrats! This, the grassroot movement is essential for a slow and steady rise.
80  Economy / Economics / Re: If bitcoin price is $10.000, will fiat be worthless? on: December 15, 2015, 08:07:32 PM
We should use a gallon of milk or a loaf of bread, or a pizza to measure the value. Which would always hold relative value to be meaningful.

Using fiat as the measure is just an asymptote approaching zero on the long term, eventually they will be worthless.
