101  Economy / Speculation / Re: What are you doing right now? on: September 19, 2014, 05:18:06 PM
I'm thinking about the BFL customers who paid $4000 over a year ago to make $2 per day, when they receive their cards in maybe a month or two.

If these customers asking BFL for a refund in bitcoins as what they paid back then, do they double/triple their BTC stash now?
102  Economy / Speculation / Re: losing fait on: September 18, 2014, 05:32:18 PM
All I can say is that I'm not sure how long fiat will last to be a viable means of currency.

If you are looking to make a quick profit, bitcoin is not for you.

If you are seeking speculation advise on this forum, this is not the place for you.

If you want to enrich yourself in math, computer science and macro economics, you should first read what Satoshi has written, understand the fundamentals. Once you are able to form your own opinion, you will not ask this kind of question on this forum again.

Monero have been the highest trading volume pair for a long time over at exchange poloniex, it is very easy to understand why it is so fundamentally good, XMR could very well be the coin that gets used a lot in countries where BTC is forbidden or made illegal, XMR could shine in russia for example if BTC is going to be banned in russia by 2014 and it has attracted a lot of early bitcoiners as well, and by this I mean core developers who have taken a look at other coins with the underlying technology and chosen Monero over a lot of others.

Hmm, what if developers create an enhanced variant based on Monero source, with better features, development of alt coins is endless.

It's possible that aliens showed up on earth, conquered human and forced us to use some kind of inter-stellar/galaxies monetary system.

Question: what if the Federal Reserve starting to gradually increase the interest, say .5% per 6 months, what kind of impact on coins' price?
106  Economy / Speculation / Re: Where to invest? on: August 11, 2014, 04:31:57 PM
Having possession of the private key to your wallet is the investment. Else, you are simply gambling.
107  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Limit. on: August 08, 2014, 03:02:56 PM
i am worried of bitcoin because of so little inflation. With deflation people just hold, since they expect il be more worth tomorrow. and it loses its meaning to be money. Only solution for Bitcoin to last on longer time wsi to have strong inflation so its worth compared to fiat start lowering. Like this some other coin will take "net money" job and BTC wil be just some thingy to treasure your founds and never really go huge.

Tell the sellers on bitcoin exchanges stop selling then, not everyone is holder even it's deflationary, otherwise, we are already in thousands $/unit.

109  Economy / Speculation / Re: How many BTC do you own? on: August 07, 2014, 03:29:37 PM
Over 4300 in theory but 4200 or so are on gox so who knows really :S

Letter S indicates that you are being sarcastic I assume, otherwise, I hope you get them back eventually.
110  Economy / Speculation / Re: When will you sell? on: August 07, 2014, 03:15:16 PM
Will never sell for fiat. May buy few things after few years.

Be careful even if he signs the message with a wallet that used to hold multiple K btc. As I see people are buying private keys from emptied large btc addresses.
Why would anyone accept a signature from an empty address that previously held BTC as proof of anything?  That makes no sense at all.

Also as a side note what the hell does buying an old private key get you?  There is a market for these things?  I have dozens of old addresses that held thousands of BTC (when they were $1-$5 each).  People buy these things?  What on Earth for?  If they put any BTC in them I can take their BTC because I also have the private key.
I would seriously doubt that people would actually buy old private keys, although in theory they may be worth something as people may accidentally send BTC to an old address, although this is not very common.

The OP is clearly trying to scam people out of their money, or if not then is involved in something very illegal.

I'm guessing some people would like to use it to sign messages, brag about things, and scam people.

113  Economy / Speculation / Re: Poll: What can lead to the end of bitcoin? on: August 01, 2014, 02:43:13 PM
In a series of 51% attacks, bitcoin may loose confidence and this gives opportunities for future alt coins to out perform and taking over.
114  Economy / Speculation / Re: At what price are you going to cash out your BTC stash on: July 29, 2014, 06:58:35 PM
If you are talking about cash == fiat. Then I have no plan to do that, since holding fiat == holding the bag, why would I.

Argentina is near the tipping point: http://money.cnn.com/2014/07/25/investing/argentina-default/index.html?hpt=hp_t4

We need some actions in bitcoin land! Is there any chart that can be overlay on the bitcoin chart correlate to the world financial crisis?

Deeply corrupted China, keeps bailing out the rich: http://news.morningstar.com/all/market-watch/TDJNMW201407233/china-may-avoid-second-bond-default-thanks-to-bailout.aspx

400million fresh out of printers, that was easy!

I'd say time is near.
117  Economy / Speculation / Re: Dafuq is happening with btc price on: July 24, 2014, 06:32:42 PM

While I do not wish for it to happen, because too many people would suffer, a global financial crysis would put Bitcoin right next to gold and silver and potentially make it a New World Currency. But that would be a forced adoption in my opinion and I'm pretty sure we'll see lots of tears from the people that heard, used, speculated, mined or stolen bitcoin and never understood what's it's purpose. I'm sure that each one of us will regret of having even 1 BTC and not putting it to storage for a long time.

Sadly but wholeheartedly I agree, financial crisis will happen, it's matter of when. Just by looking at people around us, getting bigger houses, fancier cars, more power-trippers at work, increasing number of dishonest politicians, I'd be very very surprised not seeing one coming within 5 years.
118  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why the fiat price of Bitcoin is stagnant. on: July 21, 2014, 03:37:29 PM
Agreed, just waiting on one of the fiat to collapse. Argentina not showing any action yet, since USD still strong there.

Bitcoin not only needs merchants jumping on the bandwagon, thats one piece of the puzzle. In order for the price to move, it needs consumer demand. All the merchants in the world could take Bitcoin but if ur average consumer doesnt desire to use it for purchasing then theres no new demand behind Bitcoin for being used as a payment system.

I think people will need to hit "rock bottom" by a failing fiat currency around them, the dominant USD would be a start. Then, they will start taking alternatives & freedom more seriously. Till then they are all just sheeps being lead to the slaughter and dont give a fuck about it.

119  Economy / Speculation / Re: Would you pay more for clean coins over tainted? on: July 18, 2014, 06:19:06 PM
The more tainted the better.
120  Economy / Speculation / Re: Are be breaking long-term trendline? on: July 11, 2014, 03:29:59 PM
Once the World Cup is settled, people will pay more attention on their investments, hence I see a bull period coming soon.
