Let me give u some advise:
Change the algo to an cpu or gpu algo (power2b or x16rv2/x16rt, an example) and enable POW function.
Fix the chain as at the moment as soon as u close the wallet the chain get corrupt
Give the transactions at least 9 confirms (at least 6 confirms with pow OR pos OR MN), this prevents u a lot headache for double spend attacks.
Example: a transaction need to be confirmed with 6 pow blocks and 3 pos or mn blocks. Make it more cool: at least 3 pow blocks, 3 pos blocks and 3 mn blocks.
Do with this what u want, its a simple advise what can be worked out very easy. It will do this coin a good favour.
Thank you for taking the time to answer me. I am facing strong opposition due to taking on YT but that only makes me stronger. I will pass on your suggestions to our developer and see what he says. Honestly I am a miner but I am not liking the energy wasting part of it much myself anymore. I am going to start investing into masternodes from now on. I think we will just cut the mining part out rather than rework the blockchain at this time with a new algo. Its wasteful anyway as I said. I understand ur point about electricity, my point about pow: more coin distribution, more safety to the network and so on. How do i get pos rewards at the moment? I get pos rewards while having 0 coins? I need to tumb up 100000000 video's to get a coin to start staking? This is more my point why POW should be added |

your website seems to be cool, nothing wrong with that. the POW fase is doa.. It seemed to be a safe chain with a hybrid pow/pos/masternode. Besides i dont slap anyone in the face, as i said the video site can be an interesting thing as soon the content kicks in. You must be mistaken. This is the first project I’ve created. Planning on it being the only one as well. It’s a part of why we are choosing to confine things to a single enclosed ecosystem. I feel that a lot of what goes on with CryptoNote clones is bad for crypto in general. We don’t need more copy coins. I think that if one is going to do so, there should be an expectation of it being made known that the developer has multiple projects... and I think that they should be confined to the same ecosystem, in that event. But this is just my personal ethical compass No more trading volume in altilly dev? What is happening? But there is a long list of buy and sell orders though. I checked this to see if I can cpu mine this coin because the price is not bad as compared to other cpu mineable coin. However, I want to check the current difficulty but your explorer is not up :  explorer is working here? |

It is really strange that mine one day for 0 reward.I'm used 32 threads of E5-2650 total 10 computers.Maybe BALLOONUM is not proof of work cpu mining,only proof of mining address whith a centralized network.  So check your speed and check the network speed, maybe just some asics active? |

My laptop is quite old and I may need to discard it sometime soon. So mining 2-3 hours a day, just for fun isn't going to cause any harm, I guess. Hiring VPS is a good option. But with just 100 coins, the mining reward is going to be much lower than $5 per month. I am trying to increase the size of my holdings. Once that is done, I'll consider getting a VPS service.
Even your laptop is old, I don't think you should use it to try staking. Because such old devices are less-efficient operating, so it will somehow decrease staking performance. There are obviously so many other factors that affect staking performance, staking weight (total coins use to stake); staking chunks (split threshold you set to split your coins into chunks and stake each chunk); network difficutly, and so on; but if your devices can not operate smoothly, staking process will be affected too. OK. I will just try it once, for one or two hours and then get a VPS if the rewards are good. Since I have only a small number of coins, the staking weight may be very small. But still I have big expectations for Veil and small mining rewards can be significant when the coin undergoes a bull run sometime in the future. I have studied Veil over the past few weeks and I am very excited about this coin. Hey 1. i would not use VPS or any other extern ''provider'' what host you wallet files.. 2. with 6k coins u have an estimated stake time of 1-2 days for 1 stake. |

I will be on the move a lot and my Mac doesn't have much of storage left right now so is there any plan for you guys to release a lite version of the wallet that doesn't require us to synch to the network?
Hey Yeah storage is an issue, ofcourse the dev's will be take care of the blockchain size At this moment its not a major thing, at least, not as a bug. But for sure its on the roadmap! |
