Hey Trillium. I'm considering CPU Mining on a few Core 2 Duo computers. is the diff low enough to reap any noticeable profits on them? Cheers.

64  Economy / Services / Re: Apple iPhone Factory Unlocking - Best Prices - Fastest Service on: February 03, 2014, 07:23:30 PM
You should update the title to also mention the samsung galaxy S unlocks

This guy has been gone for AGES. The service has shut down since Apple + ATT killed off all unlocking.

So everyone knows, Nope, you cant unlock your ATT iPhone anymore. Absolutely not.

So, uh, is this worth messing with at this point? I don't want to mine it if the  block chain will just be reset and my earnings will become worthless.
66  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Bitspend on: January 26, 2014, 07:42:15 PM
I was right all along. Knew it. Nobody ever believes me.

Except you aren't. Nothing from this scumbag still.
I'm afraid you just might be right... Quite sad. Scam or not BitSpend could have made /so much/ honest money, throwing away that opportunity to steal user funds is just dumb.

And, here I sit in freezing Illinois doing my damndest to get the following banner into the hands of a fellow Bitcoiner attending Super Bowl XLVIII next weekend to wave it like a motherucker so that FOX can capture it, showing it to their 100M+ viewers.

Awesome! Long live the revolution of bitcoin! I'm sure some day in the future words like that will be written and it will look like the fancy sounding Latin on the top of the coin there because of how much language has changed. Cheesy

Personally I'd get those banners and graffiti post them in random places as much as possible. (if graffiti wasn't illegal, but at least it'd be useful graffiti for once)

This community is dead?
 Cry Cry Cry

No, there's just not much to say. Primes are flying out of CPUs, that's it. It doesn't get any more exciting. Unless a CPU somewhere mines a dragon. Gotta watch those CPU dragons:: very exciting  Grin
that's the most creative thing i've heard on these forums.

This thread has surprisingly small activity. How many people are expected to attend?

I'm hoping I can attend.

Hasn't been any replies for a while. Is this service still running and performing well?

Hi Smiley,
We are working full steam ahead :=).

We did run into a small inconvenience last week when one of our main credit cards was cloned, so until early next week when we receive our replacement card, we can only place PayPal orders. After we receive our new card we will be placing credit card orders as normal again :=).

Please let me know if you need anything at all.

Pablo.
Cloned? Wow. ouch.

Good to see you're still up, didn't get bitspend'd!

Some of the plots I have posted here (as PNG files) appear truncated on this site.  Like this one

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=178336.msg4556363#msg4556363

https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.ic.unicamp.br%2F~stolfi%2Ftemp%2Fworldcomm-closing-price-log-extrap.png&t=536&c=WA3sNDQidG_reA

However they are OK when fetched directly:

Is there an image size limit?  Could it be a server speed problem?

I see no difference between the two images.
77  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: http://mybitcoinjob.com/ Very suspicious site, May be password stealing on: January 18, 2014, 08:17:35 PM
You have to download some program to get your btc ("btc")...

So - wallet stealer or some virus?

It is too small for botnet...

Most likely a wallet stealer, then.
78  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: http://mybitcoinjob.com/ Very suspicious site, May be password stealing on: January 18, 2014, 06:23:43 PM
Have a look at the whosamungus ticker i managed to dig up.

http://whos.amung.us/stats/bitcohacker/

Unbelievable amount of activity on the site. A bare minimum of 100 visitors at any given time.. This could be harvesting SO MANY user passwords and attempting to implant viruses on so many computers. It could even be a botnet.
79  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: http://mybitcoinjob.com/ Very suspicious site, May be password stealing on: January 18, 2014, 06:01:59 PM
SCAM

login: test
pass: test

Dont waste your time with that shit...
I thought so also. Definitely a scam.

I've looked up the whois, and I find this.

Registrant Name: WHOISGUARD PROTECTED
Registrant Organization: WHOISGUARD, INC.
Registrant Street: P.O. BOX 0823-03411
Registrant City: PANAMA

Through their abuse forms, i have found it was registered through NameCheap, so I have now sent abuse reports to both the whois guarder and the namecheap abuse and legal department. Such a disgusting thing. Hope it's taken down..

http://megastoon.com/ It seems to be a plain copypaste of this site with some things changed to say BitCoin instead.

Edit: Found something else.

http://whos.amung.us/stats/bitcohacker/

Look how many people are visiting that site!
80  Economy / Scam Accusations / http://mybitcoinjob.com/ Very suspicious site, May be password stealing on: January 18, 2014, 05:25:51 PM
A certain respectable forum member around here pointed me to that site to investigate if it was real or not. I registered, and after registering I realize that the whole site is basically static files with the only actual server sided code being the login form and registration form. All that the site contains is a "refer other users for free BTC" form.

It raises large suspicion for being a scam, in the form of a password stealer that may be used to try and compromise web wallets and, especially, since they ask for your BTC address, Potentially even blockchain.info wallets.

http://mybitcoinjob.com/

Anyone know anything about this?
