601  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Which do you prefer anonymous developer/creator or well revealed person? on: May 06, 2018, 10:27:25 AM
You can't compare bitcoin with ethereum because bitcoin was the original and first to market so it will always be king. There are many scams these days so having a founder that is known to the public will increase confidence in the project.
602  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: FUCK TRUMP COIN on: May 05, 2018, 07:14:22 PM
This is not the correct way to voice your opposition to Trump. There is the trumpcoin and rather than copy the abbreviation of feathercoin you should make something more media friendly like anti trump coin. Not that it will succeed, but better than the current  f t c proposal
603  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Roger Ver to be sued for defrauding bitcoin newbies. on: May 05, 2018, 07:10:50 PM
He should be sued for a shed load of bitcoin cash and see if he still tries to shill it. The same would happen if i created a new phone called iphonne that was identical to the iphone, and redirected all the apple drones to the iphonne site. This is wrong and ver should be penalised for tricking newbies
604  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bounty/Signature on: May 05, 2018, 07:07:14 PM
The first thing you need to do is post more on this forum as there are not many good signature campaigns that allow newbies to join, and if they do then the rewards are very small. When you get to Jr Member then there are a lot more opportunities. Just keep posting and you will get there
605  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Banknotes Debut in Singapore on: May 04, 2018, 04:16:36 PM
I guess this is more like a voucher than actual bank notes as they can only be used once unless you re-credit it with more bitcoin. Good for newbies but it should come with instructions on the back otherwise people may try to hand them to a cashier as it is who can then rip them off
606  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Where do you keep your private keys?? I need good ideas!! on: May 04, 2018, 04:10:11 PM
USB stick with hardware encryption. Doesn't have to be military grade so the cheaper ones are sufficient, unless you have a sticker on it saying bitcoin keys! If by chance it get's found someone will simply format it for re-use rather than try to hack it.
607  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The new usage of blockchain in China. on: May 03, 2018, 04:37:52 PM
One way of publishing this type of content is to use deepvault by deeponion. Virtually free to do and the information is forever embedded into the blockchain. The other benefit is that is uses technology that can bypass the great firewall of china so everyone can use it https://steemit.com/deeponion/@soldier100/deepvault-a-deep-onion-innovation-first-in-the-industry
608  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: This address has $18 billion... on: May 03, 2018, 04:34:03 PM
My guess is either an exchange or a very early adopter. Lets just hope that the owner of this wallet doesn't do a mt gox and dump it all on the exchanges. This would create another bear market and we're just recovering from one
609  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: There is no doubt that bitcioin will be replaced by another cryptocurrency on: May 03, 2018, 04:30:44 PM
There is one thing that is missing in your assumption (OP) which is brand awareness. For those outside of crypto they will only know bitcoin and won't bother to learn about all the benefits of ethereum, litecoin, etc.. They will stick to what everyone else is using and that will be bitcoin (original, not cash)
610  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: China plans closing Bitcoin mining. on: May 03, 2018, 03:59:01 PM
I don't think it would have much of an impact as the big players will simply move their operations abroad to countries with a lower cost of energy and loose regulations. Some are even considering renewable fuel as a form of energy (like soycoin), only issue is that China will lose out from the bitcoin boom
611  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Most cryptocurrencies will crash to zero on: May 02, 2018, 04:10:19 PM
I read a different prediction that there will be an influx of retail investors but that most cryptos will crash to the floor with the exception of the high market cap coins like bitcoin and ethereum. The others will be left to burn as interest dies and investors move onto to other projects.
612  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin too complicated for ordinary folks? on: May 02, 2018, 04:06:35 PM
Once you get into it then it is not so bad. However, the first part can be daunting - especially when you first log into the exchange and see all those charts and numbers. Not easy to use for a newbie, so there are other ways of purchasing like coinbase which is simple but costs more.
613  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why Is Getting Bitcoin "Accepted" As A Form Of Payment So Important??? on: May 02, 2018, 04:04:38 PM
You forgot to add the problems with transaction times. Bitcoincash has solved this problem, but it is confusing to have 2 currencies with the same name doing the same thing. If bitcoin becomes lightning fast then it can be accepted as a form of payment in stores as well.
614  Economy / Speculation / Re: where is the bitcoin price going? on: May 01, 2018, 04:29:54 PM
At the moment it is stabilising at around $9000 and most institutional investors believe that this is the new floor. Throughout may it will remain bullish and break the $10,000 barrier which will push it back up to the all time high.
615  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is rare on: May 01, 2018, 04:24:51 PM
Not just the fact that 4 million are left to mine, but many are lost due to non-believers at the early stages being careless with their coins. Also, satoshi has 1 million bitcoins locked up in his wallet - unlikely that those will ever move
616  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Paris street art work is asking for donations in bitcoin. on: May 01, 2018, 04:22:11 PM
It is the start of a new trend, in future people will not carry too much change around so they will use a QR code and donate in bitcoin instead. Sales for street items can also be bought in bitcoin, but it requires standing around while waiting for the confirmations
617  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How did you recover from your loss in bitcoin investment? on: April 30, 2018, 05:20:25 PM
You have to do a lot of research and find some good altcoins that will rise up faster than bitcoin. Look at the low market cap coins, especially the privacy ones, they have more potential to rise up more than the already pumped ones
618  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will you sell your Bitcoin at $100,000 or what? on: April 29, 2018, 09:02:14 AM
I will sell before that and i'm sure others will as well. It is difficult to predict when it will hit $100,000, could be next year or many years after that. I think it will hit $30k this year and maybe 50k next year. Who knows what will happen in 2020!
619  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If United states legalize Bitcoin? on: April 29, 2018, 09:00:00 AM
I doubt the United States will ever legalise bitcoin as it poses a threat to the dollar as the global currency. However, if by some miracle that did happen, then yes other countries will follow America like they always do. It will be another way to trade with a large economy
620  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Why aren't you buying SNM or RLC? on: April 28, 2018, 09:52:39 AM
SONM is definitely a good investment as you can earn extra tokens by sharing resources on a spare computer. It is impossible to mine bitcoins now so just rent out some free resources instead. Product will be released this year so getting in just before will give good gains.
