601  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If you are buying BTC in 2019 because you think it is Bitcoin, you are being foo on: February 01, 2019, 03:32:32 PM
You should never buy BCH but only the original one and only BTC. You have a lot of reasons to do so instead of investing into sh*t coins:

Bitcoin allows you to have money almost instantly instead of waiting 3–5 days minimum and paying fees for bank transfer. It allows you to pay anyone no matter where they live. This help people sending money back home without ridiculous fees from middleman like western union.

Bitcoin allows refugees or immigrants who lost their paper to pay for goods and services due to war conflicts.
It allows people to raise fund for startups projects much quicker. Startups creates variety of better goods and services which we pay cheaper than what we currently pay. Old products and services are expensive and slow. For example: education system cost load of money such as $30k to $200k debt -> online degree = 20k debt -> blockchain startup selling courses by working directly with professionals = $50/month subscription fees. Middleman can’t use your hard earn money to build their skyscrapers.
602  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: IS BITCOIN ATM PROFITABLE BUSINESS ? on: February 01, 2019, 03:25:03 PM
Btc has potential to remain profitable in the future because of its deflationary character.

It allows you have option to opt in and opt out of the world fiat currency in which everybody has to play it. The rule is simple. The fiat currency mechanic is deflationary currency which lose its value on Day to day basis. Bitcoin mechanism is deflationary currency, it has limited supply, no one will be able to print more money. In the world of fiat currency, everytime you woke up, you are poorer because the fiat currency value less. You see goods and services raised every year, its not the fruit you buy that cost more, it means the fiat money such as US dollars, euro, yen, etc… lost its value...
603  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Whats your most common uses for cryptocurrencies? on: February 01, 2019, 03:20:03 PM
Here you have a few of the most important uses of crypto (Btc mainly for now):

- Bitcoin allows people to pay one another without opening a bank account.

- Bitcoin allows money to be transferred from one country to another. Have you wondered why some country restricted you from leaving the country with large amount of your money, even though you indeed proved that it’s yours and have claims to back it up? The reason is because the government does not want their money to leave the country.

- Bitcoin solves double spending problem. It’s a hassle to reverse a payment if you mistakenly click twice to pay something online. Time is more valuable than spending it to call the bank to solve it.

- Bitcoin allows you to have money almost instantly instead of waiting 3–5 days minimum and paying fees for bank transfer
604  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Reasons why ICOs fail on: January 31, 2019, 02:28:09 PM
The biggest mistake ICO owners do is to invest too much in marketing instead of focusing on having a working product.

This way investors are willing to sell all their tokens for a quick profit.
605  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Lessons from the fullest dip on: January 31, 2019, 02:24:35 PM
The crash will teach alot of people a bitter lesson and they will learn from it,
they will learn the following

1. Never to love a coin

2. Never to be greedy

3. To cashout on profit always

4. To stop following hype

5. To know that what goes up must come down etc

I would add another one: Never invest more than you can afford to risk/lose, specially during dip periods, as you might be driven to panic sell and lose a lot of your investment. Patience is the key when you invest in crypto. You need to keep your head when market goes crazy.
606  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Future of Bitcoin on: January 30, 2019, 05:39:20 PM
Bitcoin's price is strictely relates to adoption rate. When adoption rate will increase, btc's prive will raise, as well.

However, to have a bright future, the dominance of the total market cap needs to be kept at below 50%
607  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin investors now moving to gold on: January 30, 2019, 05:35:41 PM
If we are patient enough, Bitcoin will become in the next couple of years a virtual gold. It just needs some time to arrive to maturiry, then btc will bw even better than the "classical" fold.
608  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: There too many coins to buy the dip. on: January 29, 2019, 03:43:20 PM
I believe in a few coins ATM. Tron btc grin. Currently they r dipping. I don't have enough money to invest in all 3 coins. Only 1 coin can be bought up.

From this 3 coins the only one I would recommend you to invest in is Bitcoin. I don't see a bright future for the other 2, except if you want to buy them for short-term speculation.
609  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BITCOIN: This Bubble is Different on: January 29, 2019, 03:37:27 PM
I've lived through a few bubbles in my time. The first was Dot Com, where I didn't know what was happening but I learned what a bubble was.

The Irish property bubble which burst around 2007/08 with the financial crisis was the big one. From having seen the Dot Com bubble burst my spidey sense started tingling round 2005/6, I was thinking "Hmm, this all seems a bit familiar".

I was right in the middle of that one, lots of people round my age got caught up in it.

So when crypto came along it was like history repeating to me. The similarities were stark.

However, there are also opportunities to be had during the crash.

There is the saying that "the time to buy is when there is blood running in the streets."

I'm sure you could have picked up lots of good tech stocks for pennies back in 2001/2002. However there were a lot of shit stocks that were worth nothing then and still worth nothing now.
610  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Reasons why ICOs fail on: January 29, 2019, 03:31:12 PM
Most of ICOs fail as they don't have a real and useful product/platform/service behind.

In 4 or 5 years 99% of these Alt coins will be worth zero! Even if the technology of the ones that survive gets adopted, there is very little use case for many actual tokens!
611  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Investing decision on: January 29, 2019, 03:28:45 PM
The truth is though. Nobody really knows what the future will hold for cryptocurrencies. It's all just speculation at this point.
612  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BITCOIN: This Bubble is Different on: January 28, 2019, 03:53:30 PM
Bubble or not, bullish and bearish periods are cyclical, even if sometines some trends (current bearish trend) don't seem to ever finish.

I've been in this since the drop at 233. Watched it go up to 1k, drop, watch it go to 20k, and drop again. Cycle continues, but emotions tell you that it shouldn't.

613  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Tired of waiting? on: January 28, 2019, 03:41:38 PM
When you feel tired of waiting, just remember that everything in life goes in cycles.

How long until the new bull run hits? Nobody knows for sure. Could be 10 years out. I think it's at least 2-3 years before we see it again. And yes, by that time, hopefully all the shitcoin / scamcoin projects disappear.
614  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Stop Hodling Coins!!! on: January 25, 2019, 04:14:10 PM
Your proposal is easy to say but difficult to follow. Imagine that you traded a lot in 2018. It's not a matter of buying wih 1000$ and selling wih 5% more, when all what happened during the entire last year was price decreasing with 5%, then another 5% and so on. Your plan works better in a bullish market, but not in bearish periods.
615  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Too many speculators in the cryptospace? on: January 25, 2019, 04:08:54 PM
Seeing the usual conversations in this forum and in others related to the cryptocurrency issue, as well as the groups on Facebook, Telegram and others, it seems that most of those interested in this field have no other interest than making easy and fast profits.

And I think this is something that has negatively impacted the market, because it has driven the high volatility in the prices of cryptocurrencies, regardless of how serious each project is: investors are always willing to sell their tokens at the first opportunity, instead of supporting the cryptos as a technological development with long-term potential.

Do you agree with the speculation without limits?

It's sad that people sell their tokens at the first sign of getting a small profit. I agree that this is nothing more than pure speculation.

However, each cryto investor has a threshold in his mind and when price goes above it it's difficult to keep holding instead of selling. I think the best option is to never sell more than half of your holdings, no matter what. This way, you will be satisfied in both scenario if tokens price is going up or down.
616  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The cheapest Altcoin. on: January 24, 2019, 07:35:50 AM
You should not buy a coin just because its price is cheap. It can be cheap because the project behind has no future and team stopped developing the project. You should focus more on finding projects with high potential, utility and good dev team behind rather than coin's price.
617  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Don't quit investing on: January 24, 2019, 07:31:53 AM
Nobody knows for sure when a bottom dip is to buy or when the highest price is to sell.

The best strategy to reduce risks is to keep investing frequently but no more than funds you can afford to risk/lose.
618  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will SEC approve BITCOIN ETF ? on: January 24, 2019, 07:28:38 AM
If SEC will approve Bitcoin ETF, this might be a good sign for a bullish trend change. Otherwise, I'm afraid the long bearish period will continue for the next few months at least.
619  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ripple will Die on: January 23, 2019, 05:49:47 PM
I was never a fan of ripple first of all because it is a centralized coin and this is not what cryptocurrencies supposed to be. If you want to stay centralized, you have banks, why would you need ripple?
620  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: are ICOs really dead? on: January 23, 2019, 05:47:30 PM
The truth is that ICOs got a bad reputation after all things that happened last year when most of the ICOs became scam or tokens lost more than 90% of their value.

However, there are and there will always be good ICO-based projects with a huge potential. (If you're interested in a good project, you can have a look at Micro jobs project - details in my signature).
