HI guyz. On my 280x dual-x get 109k 4ch with 1020/1500 TRT 410-420 variable.
280x vapor-x 118k 4ch 1120/1550 TRT 375-390 variable.
280x toxic 122k 4ch 1180/1600 360-375 variable.
I think everything is good. Can I drop the memlock. What will be the change of performance ?!
You can drop it litle bit, but not needed, less oc means more stable running! Your numbers looks ok, no reason to stress it more, unless you are oc maniac! Happy mining |

Could undervolting make it slower?
I have normal speeds when scrypt mining unervolted like this, but cant OC as much as alot of others.
Then again, stability for long runs is more inportant than a litle speed increase.
So far for me, better not OC above 1100 core.
Stable with 1075-1100 core, so will not try to go above.
trt goes from 360-420 on the different gpus. 7970/280x.
Seems also cpu could be some botleneck?

I do give props that this miner does OC better than the other miner.
I'm fine with the dev fee, just that 10% does make a nice little side of spending cash...lol
I oc'ed to 1200 core/ 1570 mem with TRT at 331~333 with 136k 4ch/h on 20%+ powertune and 60%~75% cpu load. (MSI Twin Frozr III HD7970 OC BE with Artic Accelero Extreme 7970 gpu cooler)
Update: After letting the miner run longer, it settled down to cpu load range of 35%~50%.
Thats some good numbers... I cant go above 1100 core on any cards, i do also have exact same as yours. Could it be due to undervolted bios? If so, the juice will be turned up! |

i have two rigs with same hardware and 5x280x
one has 2gb ram and the other 4gb ram
in the 2gb ram i can set hc512 and it works.
in the 4gb i can't even when its in the bat file, it works automaticly with 248 hashcnt. when i set gpu alloc100 the miner doesn't even start
trt400+-
the performance diffrence is so big between the two? will there be a fix?
Try to enable alloc100 and set "-hc 320". can't enable GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT=100 with set, only setx works which makes me reinstall windows. the cmd says variable enviorment not defiend still hashct 248 Use it like this:set GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT=100 set makes the comand local, setx makes it permanent in registry. |

With a 8 core processor, should -t 8 or higher number be used?

The best approach is to test how it works on your hardware  If CPU is slow and GPUs are fast, "-t 8" may help. Otherwise it is useless. With t8 cpu load is 40-50%, now gpu load is 97% Not tried without t8 yet... When you mention we need to mine 24hours before speed is picking up, is that the flow of coins in pool, or the acual mining speed your talking about? If its mining speed, we loose alot of performance messing around with tuning the cards, and stock settings is a better aproach? Thnx edit: cpu load is 40-50% with -t 8 -ss 0 |
