What is really giving "Tommy" and MS an even worse name is after shutting down mining (and BtC is at a high for recent years), telling VIP shareholders "see you next year" and that people that bought mining sheres were "overpaid"...... the shop on the site is still open......and since I have to assume that he would take your money (no way am I sending him more). This has quickly sunk to a new low even for cloud mining which he declared to be different. You're a liar and a thief "Tommy".  He seem like a nice person initially and very responsive in emails. Suddenly he closed down his farm. Maybe people will learn that nice emails don't make a successful bitcoin idea, but proof on the blockchain does. |

we are not asking for business secrets, we are asking basic questions about how the thing is going to work, and not nearly to the degree of specification that companies like Microsoft freely give to people that are investing in them, which is what people are claiing to do with ion. |

Ionomy Developed Games will follow the:
1/3 Profit Split Concept.
Games Developed outside of Ionomy But want to integrate with Ionomy will more then likely provide some form of profit cut to Ionomy to get the user base to use their game. No if that is effective or not is one thing. But the overall concept is sound. So a Independent Game Developer will not have the 1/3 Profit Split Concept. But might provide like X% based on the deal and funding they want to receive from the Ionomy platform. But again i am only assuming this is how this is setup. I could be 100% wrong.
Now feel free to discuss this and tell me if its a more sounds concept.
Why would a developer do that? What incentive is there for a member of ionomy's user base to spend money on the game? wouldn't they spend $10 on the market to get $10 worth of ION instead of $3.33 worth of ion, some value in the game, and less than $3.33 worth of product from the ion store? |

I think korvas is trying to say that 33% of purchases made from a game tied into ION is worth more than 100% of the purchases if the game wasn't tied into ION, and I have no idea why he would think that.
Why would an established ion user/believer make purchases in this game, wouldn't they want to get $10 worth of ION for $10 instead of $3.33?

OK, it appears I misunderstood the video. If I spend 99 cents on lives, I get the lives, 33 cents worth of ions (is that correct or do I get 33% of whatever is left after google/apple take their cut?), and a number of ionpoints to use at the ion store.
What happens if I never sign up with ionomy? Who gets that 66% of the money? Where does the actual cash that turns into ionpoints go? How are the products bought with ionpoints actually paid for? Who is making the profit on this part of the transaction? How does it help the regular ion holder?
And my motivations are simple, prevent people from losing money in this venture that looks like a guaranteed failure to me. Every step of the way I see tons of red flags, ask about them, get ignored, and then they move on to the next thing with more red flags. This happens pretty often on ventures I find on this forum that end up screwing over tons of people, if anyone sees one of my red flags and stays out of it it's worth it.
None of this makes any sense to me, especially the part where people that have money invested don't ask the obvious questions. At least some people are just flat out trying to pump and dump because that's what they do, so they can be ignored, but people who appear to be true believers make no sense to me because it's all bunk.

If this lawsuit actually goes forward there are some interesting possibilities. Will Fraser and Cantor Fitzgerald try to settle quickly, or will they blow untold millions on very expensive lawyers, or will they throw Garza under the bus. At the very least they should get some unflattering media attention. Sadly the 9/11 charity fraud doesn't seem to have made it into the complaint.

One thing i never understood with ion was why the ico for bitcoin etc? The xpy swap was just tactic to make it look like it was the big thing to make xpy buyers whole.
So what was the ico for with btc.. i mean.
- hosting doesn't cost much
- block explorer creation etc not much
- their dev work has basically created a coin clone with a few change, an unreleased flash like game gravity and a slack channel.
How is that worth 150k in sales?
Ponder this question.. if it was about making xpy holders whole why wasn't it a pure xpy->ion swap for ico, then a small mining phase to kick start the chain and introduce others into it? Adam Matlack could swap his 100k of useless xpy into ion and give him incentive to make ion work.
So any thoughts from anyone on what the need for 150k in bitcoin was for? Cause with the lack of transparency it sure doesn't look like there is much there.... any thoughts why not a pure xpy->ion swap? other than the obvious that is.
There is not enough volume on the coin for their only source of usable coins/money to be ION. If the developers needed to sell some of their zillion ions that they gave themselves to pay bills the price would crash and it would be over immediately. The ICo lets them prop up the price and vies them usable coins up front without ending things on day 1. |
