601  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Why do Atheists hate Religion ? on: January 12, 2016, 05:40:47 PM
So I see 2 threads of why islam hates people or why people hate Islam. I dont see the point of such a mundane debate based on religion any debate for or against religion would be stupid. Either you are stupid to believe what a prophet / god / divine entity said or you are stupid enough to believe you can change the minds of the bleak minded people who follow such a prophet / god / divine entity.

But since its fun let me initiate my own brand of 'why do' topic.

WHY DO ATHEISTS (like me) HATE RELIGION ?

Seriously what has to happen in a person's life for them to seriously give up hope on the one true everlasting brand (of religion) which their ancestors have followed for generations.

Everyone has their own story even I have mine, so lets hear some of it.

atheists dont hate any religion in this earth.. however all the religions hate atheists... this is paradoxial..
thats only partially true, there are undoubtedly fedora - tipping atheists (the stereotypical reddit kind) that are against all forms of religion and constantly try to dissuade the religious from their faith, ie antireligious. then we have the atheists that really dont give a fuck and are irreligious. however, the religious hate not just the atheists, but anyone and everyone whose ideas conflict or do not align with their own. that means atheists and others that do not follow their particular faith, and it may even include those that do not have the same interpretation of their faith or its teachings. the religious can be a hateful bunch. also, im fairly sure you dont know the meaning of the word 'paradoxical.' that's just how things are, its not a contradiction in any way.
602  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Study: Everyone hates environmentalists and feminists on: January 12, 2016, 05:29:56 PM
http://www.salon.com/2013/09/26/study_everyone_hates_environmentalists_and_feminists_partner/

Why don’t people behave in more environmentally friendly ways? New research presents one uncomfortable answer: They don’t want to be associated with environmentalists.

That’s the conclusion of troubling new research from Canada, which similarly finds support for feminist goals is hampered by a dislike of feminists.

Participants held strongly negative stereotypes about such activists, and those feelings reduced their willingness “to adopt the behaviors that these activities promoted,” reports a research team led by University of Toronto psychologist Nadia Bashir. This surprisingly cruel caricaturing, the researchers conclude, plays “a key role in creating resistance to social change.”

Writing in the European Journal of Social Psychology, Bashir and her colleagues describe a series of studies documenting this dynamic. They began with three pilot studies, which found people hold stereotyped views of environmentalists and feminists.

In one, the participants—228 Americans recruited via Amazon’s Mechanical Turk—described both varieties of activists in “overwhelmingly negative” terms. The most frequently mentioned traits describing “typical feminists” included “man-hating” and “unhygienic;” for “typical environmentalists,” they included “tree-hugger” and “hippie.”

Another study, featuring 17 male and 45 female undergraduates, confirmed the pervasiveness of those stereotypes.

http://youtu.be/G880gxjj9dI

environmentalists and feminists  has negative connotation  on people's mind because of their lunatic behaviours on subjects which they support . that makes them illogical human beings.
completely untrue. conserving the environment and attaining equal (emphasis on equal) rights for both sexes has nothing even resembling a negative stigma attached to them. both are reasonable and pretty good things to support. however, it is the manner in which the extremist supporters of these views act on advancing their respective agendas that the environmentalist / feminist movement gets put in a bad light. and 'makes them illogical human beings?' what? stop spamming.

that aside, there are perfectly reasonable methods in which the activists of said movements could further their agendas, but they typically get labelled as 'tree huggers, environmental terrorists, feminazis,' etc. and for good reason, some of the extremist supporters of these movements are completely insane.
603  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Europe, you reap what you sow... on: January 12, 2016, 04:34:44 PM
I think the original thought was genuine but how did they not think millions would come if you offer a free ticket? Now how do they handle it? what happens if the far right wins? all things to see this year.
I do think some thought should have been put into place and maybe an EU meeting discussing how to handle it BEFORE they said, "Sure everyone is welcome" would have been a good idea?

Australia has a great way to handle people trying to put people's lives at risk by denying all asylum seekers who arrive illegally.  This will have to be the norm or 1.1 million will be a drop in the bucket for this year..
rather than genuine, it was more naive than anything. do some planning and filter the immigrants? thats fine, but just letting everyone in was a downright stupid idea. whoever made the decision to 'open the gates' is a sheltered fool who didnt consider any potential consequences and just assumed everything would be fine because there's no evil in the world in their minds. or something. either way, they completely disregarded any potential problems that might arise, even a child could figure out IS might try to sneak in with the immigrants (leading to the paris stuff) and there was zero consideration for the cultural differences that might lead to these sexual assault issues going on in germany. these people arent fit to run a country.
604  Other / Politics & Society / Re: What's your opinion of gun control? on: January 12, 2016, 04:24:13 PM
i hate to use a fucked up event as a sort of argument for this, but the events in germany with the taharrush (?) stuff is just a great case of why concealed firearms should be available for citizens should they feel the need for personal protection. whats going to stop a bunch of arabs from raping a lone woman? not the woman's own arm strength, thats for sure. unless that woman happens to be some gorilla - strength weightlifting UFC fighter or something. in most cases, a gun will probably do the job of deterring any attackers.
605  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Do you support or oppose the death penalty? on: January 12, 2016, 03:18:04 PM
I also oppose death penalty. State should not act like a GOD. They have no right to take anyone's life instead they should focus on fulfilling their responsibility by giving clean governance.
its quite ironic, its often the case that the ones who say that are the exact ones that want a more 'christian nation' or 'godly government' or something like that. basically they want more religious influence in the government at all levels.

that aside, im all for the death penalty. in the US at least, prisons are more often than not for - profit, and the execution of prisoners that are either too far out of touch with society for any possible hope of integration or those that have committed a crime beyond what should be considered punishable with mere jail time saves the state and taxpayers money. finances aside, its a fact that people who do not have a sliver of hope of remaining in normal society and never will exist; some are just too dangerous to exist, both for their own safety and the safety of those around them.

I scored a home run when i proved your hammer theory was a hoax.. Grin

You are religious if your searching for a god..So keep trying so i can smash all your theories out of the water..ITs FUN.. SO KEEP TRYING..TRY AND FIND THE HOLY GRAIL Cheesy..You might find it somewhere online Cheesy

At least PrikiNo.1 understands that there is a God, while you don't have a clue about anything right in front of you.

Science proves God. How? Complexity doesn't happen by accident. If you find anything that is complex, you will see that something caused it to happen. ...
Complexity is a concept that has no meaning.

Science does not prove God.  Only would it do so in the small minds of those who would constrict and order science to their views.

Remember, after everything you have said is proven wrong, and after every one of your arguments is shown to be wrong in premise, in argument, and in conclusion....

You still have your belief.

But you don't need to go shouting your belief to the rooftops, when it is denigrated by false thinking and lies.
REAL science doesnt prove the existence of a god. warped pseudoscience created by delusional minds does, within the confines of said delusional heads. religious people take a random phenomena, make the end result the claim that a god or the god exists, and makes up some stuff in between then says, clearly, we have here proof that god exists. and unfortunately, nothing you say or do can dissuade them because in their own head, their explanation is flawless and any argument thrown against it can be dismantled by more pseudoscience they conjure up on the spot. its an impossible argument in the sense that a sensible person can not possibly get through that defense of ignorance the religious create around themselves.

....
The Bible is the only accurate record we have for age of earth to date.
Hello, Pinocchio.

Do you get credits on you Go To Heaven Card for lying?

When any of those scientists take the stand to affirm that the earth is as old as they say, do they do it? Don't they always say something like, "To the best of my knowledge..." or "All the indicators suggest that..." or "We think that it happened this way...?"

Those guys are innocent liars. They don't know, yet they print up books suggesting.

What about the Bible? The Bible is a book that was handed down by a stubborn people... possibly the most stubborn in the world. Their stubborn tradition is that Moses was a man of power and truth. The records are eye-witness records that have traditional backing of a whole nation.

You want to promote the lies of scientific misinterpretation. Why not look at the truth and support it? The universe since the creation is less than 10 thousand years old. But, if it is more than 10,000 years old, even sound, factual science says that it is not any older than 25,000 at the outside.

Smiley

Young earth creationists use religiously motivated pseudoscience to support their claim. You've strarted with the premise that your interpretation of the Bible is a literal description of the development of the universe, you then find evidence to fit your warped perspective.

Even flat earth people have the intelligence to spot how flawed your argument is.  Cheesy
Fancy being ranked lower than them.  Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

its not so much as 'finding evidence' than it is going from A to B and making stuff up to fill in the gaps. the religious - minded tend to do that a lot.
609  Other / Politics & Society / Re: 500 “Migrants” Break in German Nightclub and Sexually Assault Women on: January 12, 2016, 04:38:56 AM
Now let me see what the feminists are going to do about this.
They are going to run away, just as usual.
because they know their sjw oriented thinking on the issue led to this event. 'lets let a bunch of random people into the country, nothing can possibly go wrong because everyone in the world is nice and would never do anything bad ever!1!1'
if anything, theyll start shit and only speak up to try and push the blame onto others for listening to them or say 'they were kidding.'

Germany learned nothing in the 1940's.

no, some of the people did, the people who supported letting the immigrants in decided they wanted to disregard all common sense.
610  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Borrower Atomicat late repayment of 0.03 btc due on 07 january - DO NOT LEND! on: January 11, 2016, 05:11:00 AM
Bullshit.  Read what he wrote, and send him the collateral until you repay the loan.

why dont you give me this account as collateral as part payment of this 0.03 btc debt?
I gave Altcoin4life 0.02 BTC as part repayment for this loan and the due date for the remaining balance has been extended to the 12th of this month.
it kinda looks to me that you have intentions to repay at some point in the future, but consolidating a loan with another loan is just straight up dishonest and sketchy as fuck. its also just not a very smart thing to do in real life. also, why are you trying to make purchases on the forum when you have outstanding loans that you claim to have to 'liquidate assets' to repay? pretty suspicious if you ask me.

611  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Trump proposes massive one-time tax on the rich to pay off national debt on: January 11, 2016, 05:05:22 AM
I think it´s inevitable sooner or later. Interest rates will only stay low for so long. If nothing is done they´ll eat up most of the federal receipts eventually.
maybe, but maybe not. the US's consumerism culture plays a pretty large role in the world's economy, and if theres any real threat to that economy completely collapsing, the world powers will (reluctantly) scramble to keep it afloat. eventually though, with the country constantly weakening as it is, that probably wont be the hypothetical case anymore, and there might be a repeat of greece. hopefully the debt problem gets fixed before then.

Which world powers would that be? We´re talking Gigantic amounts here. Frankly, I think you´d need to call E.T. to bail out Uncle Sam.  Grin
anyone that would suffer from a US economic collapse, im not going to name what countries because i dont have to knowledge to claim which ones likely would, and i never said anything about them bailing out the country out of debt entirely, but i did say they would try and keep the country afloat, just enough to avoid a crisis.
612  Economy / Services / Re: [12dailycoin.com] ★Signature Campaign★ | Best Rates | Jr. Member - Staff [OPEN] on: January 11, 2016, 04:51:17 AM
I personally am on the fence with this neg rep for advertising a ponzi. Yes we know its gonna collapse, and yes we know someone is gonna get fucked along the line, but we are all adults(or at least supposed to be). So i dont see anything wrong with someone advertising and getting paid. Just because someone has a signature that says im a ponzi doesnt mean ppl will click it or are not informed as to what a ponzi is. If you know what a ponzi is or are too stupid to use google and find out and you still invest its your own dumbass fault. I do not see the point IMO in ruining someones acct because they want to make a few dollars.

Just my opinion take it for what its worth

same view as mine. i dont exactly know why they are against it if users only want to earn bitcoins from posting here in the forum, its just a signature campaign why not give the oppurtunity to most of us to earn with bigger rates than others. some of us are from a third world country which only rely on bitcoins for their expenses :/
I see shorena and mexxers point of view. Theyre trying to keep members from getting scammed. I just believe if the forum allows the ponzis to be here then the only ppl whom should get the neg rep are the owners of the ponzi, not the guys trying to make a dollar or 2

yes ofcourse we are there but the forum itself allows it that is why there is a section for the ponzis and yeah thats right, only the OP or the manager deserves to get red trust and not the participants coz they only want to earn bitcoins.
if the money that theyll get is all that matters, and that;s your own point of view, why arent you signing up? because you dont want red trust on your profile. its a deterrent against potential advertisers that would promote an obvious scheme just because theres a few dollars in it. and in addition, if a few dollars is all it takes for them to knowingly promote a ponzi that might lead to others losing more than just a few bucks, whats not to say that those advertisers arent willing to scam themselves? the negatives are completely deserved in my opinion, and your not joining the campaign after offering your stance on the argument (just wanting a few dollars) only serves EM / sho / mexxer / my stance.
on removing the trust rating, i think its fine to remove it once all forms of advertising are removed and if the participant pulled out fast seeing the red ratings. however, if they take it on themselves to stick it through to the end, and completely 'sell out,' im for leaving the rating on there. if negative ratings werent enough of a deterrent at any point in time during the participant's activity in the campaign, clearly a 'few dollars' is way more important to that individual  over the possible losses of others that may or may not sum up to a lot more than what they have to gain from advertising it.

i wont be posting again in here because i dont want to bump this thread.
and to yahoo, idk enough about what ore - mining is or what its about to make a stance on it.

Hello guys, how are you all. I am thinking about this thread, how long it will take, any suitable end of our posts or it is an infinity Smiley
ideas, when decentralized, are more resilient than anything. without the same influences acting on the majority and making a seeable change in thinking, ideas will never change completely, or even shift a significant margin. with this case, any debate concerning a religious idea is going to have multiple facets and multiple sides arguing for different points. i think its safe to say that a discussion like this one will last quite a long time, even if the IS crisis is left behind in history, that negative stigma will always exist.
615  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Trump proposes massive one-time tax on the rich to pay off national debt on: January 11, 2016, 04:34:41 AM
I think Donald has an excellent idea, the wealthy have been riding on the backs of the middle class for too long. Need proof wait until the CEO salaries are published, then you will see how they have been riding on the backs of their employees with their outrageous salaries.
its a great idea, but it isnt new or anything, no president has had the balls to actually push such a tax forward. its pretty clear that the most wealthy in the US dont need the entirety of their wealth in their lifetime, yet the disparity between them and the middle class grows every day for no greater cause. even if this tax doesnt repay the majority of the debt, its certainly a great start for many reasons.

I posted a new topic yesterday where I asked for funding a Bitcoin project. Why did it get deleted? Is it because I put an address there explicitly?

What's the policy?
it was deleted because the post probably looked like a begging attempt, which isn't allowed here.

619  Other / Archival / Re: Problem with swapping out a cpu on: January 08, 2016, 09:03:58 AM
Sounds like the new CPU is to blame. It might be faulty. To rule out other errors it would do a stress test on the system with the old CPU, e.g. using p95[1] and memtest86+[2].

[1] http://www.mersenne.org/
[2] most linux boot CD/DVD/USB Sticks, e.g. Ubuntu distros come with it.
oh right, this is the third (that's right, 3) cpu that I've tried with warranty replacements. I thought it was the cpu too, but 3 times in a row? nah.
and ive already stress tested it with memtest for a few hours (before each trial replacement), no errors. ill try running p95 for a few hours right now though.
620  Other / Archival / Problem with swapping out a cpu on: January 08, 2016, 08:21:44 AM
So ive been stuck on trying to figure out what exactly is wrong for a week or so now, im trying to upgrade one of my pcs with a new cpu but the system after swapping out to the new cpu is not stable.
what happens after inserting the new cpu: bios loads ok, i can configure all my settings fine, save, and exit. windows (8.1) loads fine, i can log in and see my desktop. however, within 1 minute of logging in, the system either (1) straight up crashes and reboots (no blue screen, screen turns black and just reboots), or (2) freezes. nothing can be done, just stuck on the desktop and cant even move my cursor, and i have to shut it down and reboot. the system is completely stable with the current cpu.

relevant specs (kinda important)
please note, this is an AMD system.
mobo: MSI 890FXA GD-65 (MS-7640) AM3 socket, AM3+ socket compatible
cpu (current**): athlon 2 X3 440
cpu im trying to upgrade to: FX - 4350 (vishera)

note, bios has been updated to the latest version already (18.9) and the system is stable (with the athlon). no errors with 2 runs of memtest either. windows sfc also shows no problems with windows, and its a fresh install. power supply is more than sufficient for the upgrade as well. event log does not show anything, as it only shows the kernel power errors from me having to shut down the pc or it rebooting when it crashes. system is very well cooled and dust free although its a bit old. with the current cpu, the pc has no problems with any tasks thrown at it, from gaming to video encoding. feel free to ask for info if ive left anything out.

any help would be appreciated, ive tried an extensive number of tests to try to get to the root of the problem, but im stuck on this one. and please dont spam in here if you have no idea what youre talking about.
