603  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What happened to Bitcoin when 21 millions coins are produced? on: March 16, 2013, 08:44:41 PM
Probably too early to tell, we can already make a few assumptions which is quite good.

Anyhow, by the time we are there, bitcoin has grown either to be a success or failure. In case of success, the "issue" will probably sort itself out quite easily
604  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: HOWTO: create a 100% secure wallet on: March 16, 2013, 08:40:29 PM
What I do is cut and paste my private key on to a usb stick, take out the usb and insert it into an offline computer that I never use online, I then scramble my private key by swopping say the 15th character with the last character, copy the scrambled key onto another usb, swop the usb stick back to my online computer, copy and paste the scrambled key into my email, then email the scrambled key to myself on google mail, lock up the usb sticks and I got a backup in the cloud, I use btcbalence.net to keep a check my bitcoins

better safe then sorry i guess Wink
605  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Poker Site using Bitcoins - SealswithClubs on: March 16, 2013, 08:39:41 PM
It's still pretty small, often not too many tables running, but it's atm def the best bitcoin poker site out there
606  Economy / Gambling / Re: SealsWithClubs.eu | Largest Bitcoin Poker Site | No Banking | Fast Cashouts on: March 15, 2013, 11:48:25 AM
Interesting, might give it a try again. The main reason why i stopped playing on Sealswithclubs is that it gave me a lot of browser time outs, often in the middle of a hand, which sucked enormously sometimes as i often played on the higher tables
607  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is the world ready for all-digital currencies? on: March 15, 2013, 11:03:34 AM
The world is ready, the people may be, but they still need to be educated a lot

ps: nice pic Smiley
608  Economy / Gambling / Re: SatoshiBet - Bitcoin Casino - Play Casino War on: March 14, 2013, 03:24:19 PM
This in your TOS seems unfair:

"We reserve the right to shut down inactive accounts and relinquish their funds. As long as you visit at least once every 6 months, your account will remain active."

You also don't list the max bet amount anywhere.

The min/max bet is listed when you play for bitcoins in the top right of your screen. At the moment it's at 50mBTC. It's not there for play money right now, and that can definitely be unclear, I'll make sure to add it there too.

I feel the cleaning of inactive accounts is pretty reasonable, seeing the throw-away nature of our system. I don't think anyone is planning to use SatoshiBet as a way to store their coins long term. Even if someone decides to do so, not visiting your account for 6 months+ is going to be a pretty rare occasion. We just put it there to allow ourselfs to clean the database a bit of throw-away accounts when deemed appropriate in the future.
609  Economy / Gambling / Re: SatoshiBet - Bitcoin Casino - Play Casino War on: March 14, 2013, 12:54:10 PM
What's the house edge for war? Shouldn't it be even?

There is an even chance of winning on the first card. In the case of a tie, there is a slight house advantage.
If there is a tie, the player has the option of surrendering half of their bet, or going to war and putting up another bet equal to their original bet. If the player wins that bet, they win only on the new bet, and push the original bet. If the player loses, he loses both bets.

614  Economy / Marketplace / Re: So you think you're going to start a Bitcoin business, right? on: February 11, 2013, 02:47:28 AM
Those last 2 pages of OP's replies made the credibility of the content of this sticky kind of completely neglectable for me. How can I take anything that you say serious?
I think you are still in the mindset of bitcoin as pokemon cards to trade with your friends. I'm afraid we are past that, it's way bigger than this forum, and it's getting way above your head too as it looks like.

Anyhow, I don't believe in WOT in it's current form. But I certainly like the idea behind it. What a lot of industries have is (often non-profit) organisations that give out certificates to businesses that earned credibility in a specific area. If it would be taken outside the #freenode irc and presented in such package, I certainly can see merits in it.

We can keep discussing this all day long, in the end, I don't think it really matters, I believe 'the damage' has been done. WOT is useless as it is for businesses (because 99% of the consumers don't care). Whoever is in charge has to adapt or let it die.
615  Economy / Marketplace / Re: So you think you're going to start a Bitcoin business, right? on: February 06, 2013, 02:18:19 PM
I have to agree with SRoulette about WOT. I think it's something very hard to scale, and I'm afraid we're slowly going to outgrow it as the bitcoin popularity rises. It may have been effective in an earlier stage of the game, but it's getting outdated pretty quickly now as less of the consumer market will know/care about it and thus businesses won't either
616  Economy / Gambling / Re: Bitcoin MineField - 10%-2300% winings, fully automated, with cool technologies:) on: February 05, 2013, 10:01:30 PM
hold on, it might be because I lack 4 confirmations on my deposit? just noticed that note

edit: thank you for your quick reaction though, gives me a lot more confidence in your service Smiley
617  Economy / Gambling / Re: Bitcoin MineField - 10%-2300% winings, fully automated, with cool technologies:) on: February 05, 2013, 09:50:24 PM
I keep getting "invalid address" when I'm trying to withdraw. I tried with several addresses. I'm 100% sure these are working addresses. What's the matter there?
618  Economy / Gambling / Re: LibertyBets.com || New project of a Bitcoin Game on: February 05, 2013, 07:24:49 PM
Design is better than average, I like that. But don't present yourself like your a big shot company with investors and stuff while all you did is create a gambling site for an unregulated currency as a side project. It's so pointless Smiley
That said, good luck
619  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: SMS to Bitcoin UK - bitcoin-services.co.uk on: February 05, 2013, 02:51:54 PM
