Bitcoin could not 'replace' Paypal—even in the long run—as a payment processor, mainly because of government backing and whatnot. Also, Paypal is a financial giant backed up by huge companies all over the world wanting to be a part of that big system.
You are right we have no competition in these both payment systems because one is really giant and have many governments back and second one is completely anonymous and running independently without any big back but we can say some healthy competition is good for both's health's They are both have unique features that actually needs by people if you are not fulfill in one payment method you can use the alternative one so both of them you need for online transaction or dealing to someone.. or if you want to buy something that cant buy in one payment method like in darkweb.. they are almost using bitcoin. or in amazon product you can use paypal because amazon still not accepting bitcoin. |

Will gonna see that price once again this feb. Or maybe ath is on the way to shock us all. Bitcoin can still hold the 900$ price if this price will not change ,im pretty sure that 1000$ by feb is possible.
There is no sign for now since the price is really playing in 900 level which is still staying at $910-$940 and i think it takes a long time to see the price increase back to $1000 much more possibility for my own speculation the price could be decrease this coming february.. |

You should cash it out when the price of bitcoins have risen a lot and invest them in mutual fund or you can uncest them in startups and u get benifit a lot .
Investing in startups can be a very risky decision, especially if there is not enough experience and knowledge to evaluate the investment. But if the individual realizes that there is indeed a good opportunity, a good study of the business should be done, and if there are doubts, it is better to consult a professional. I think it's also important not to go all in one. Bitcoin itself is already an asset that, in my opinion, can have positive results in the long run, so I would not dump so many coins to invest in something else. Online investments have become risky nowadays as we cannot judge which is the genuine place to invest our coins so in that I will never experiment with my coins by taking any risk of investing and will prefer to save them for the future and sell when price of bitcoins will give me reasonable profits. i think it its up to you and your experience, i think you should invest your bitcoin where you have good experience if you are good in gambling you can even invest your money there. and if you have good experience in trading alt coin then it is also a good option for you . Honestly what you are suggested are risky like in gambling if you lose you can get nothing but in trading it will be depends if how you are choosing the best altcoin to hold.. since many bitcoin are really stable in top 20 altcoin not good idea to invest in new release or ICO because theres high possibility that you can be lose. . |

Fiat money is still inevitable in our everyday life. The thing is that Bitcoin will probably never achieve that level of acceptance that it could completely compete with fiat. And I don't think that the whole world would change the mindset just like that so for a long time the financial systems would be depending exclusively on fiat.
However, if it adopted or made centralize money by your government you have to go as it is right! I think bitcoin will be centralized money in near future and then automatically we should go for it. Still fiat holds strongly in today's economy by means of everything that relies on it,fiat would still be widely use for those who are not still know yet the use of cryptocurrency.Even some places are still exchange their bitcoins to fiat in order to have money,and mostly establishments are accepting fiat instead of bitcoin.The widely use of fiat mostly simplifies that not everyone still have the knowledge to use the modern use of digital money. Yes and we cannot expect people from poor countries who are uneducated would have even heard about bitcoins or will start using bitcoins in future they will continue with fiat as they get paid in fiat and even they are not eligible for credit or debit cards and in that case fiat is the only option left for them. People coming from poor countries will rather prefer to avoid using Bitcoin as the fees are becoming too much of an obstacle for them. Including like $0.20-$0.30 as minimum fee is a costly amount for their standards. Especially when you consider that the amounts these people work with are only worth a few bucks in most cases. Pools will most likely ignore these transactions for quite some time where it will result in their precious money being stuck waiting for confirmations. It will only work against them instead of for them. It is well on its way to $2000. Will it get there before an exchange 'hack' is another story. I hope so.
There is a big chance that will touch 2000$ but only you need to think is the more faster it reaches and soon it falls down. Bitcoin should increase it's price slowly because now many people start using bitcoin, once suddenly it touches 2000$ may be some people who are showing interest will not use any more due to bitcoin volatile. I think the price may peaks well over two thousand dollars. I've seen some analysis in which the price can reach up to $ 3500, but obviously the price will not stay for long in that range. Maybe the $ 2000 range is the range in which the Bitcoin price will stabilize this year. Well, I do not know, to me in particular it seems a very high scenario, and I prefer to avoid making a statement about it, but even if it were maintained at current levels, it would already be an indication that it is a little more solid that before, and the conditions are more favorable and little by little its has been improving paulatively with the passage of time, so that where the balance is inclined there will be people who will make their own decisions taking into account his own experience to avoid any kind of surprises, what is certain is that nobody never know how high it will get or how low it can fall,so we will see where the balance is tilted. I think for bitcoin to reach $1000 AND STAY there will require some major event. It would have to be something like some positive/lenient laws passed regarding bitcoin or some adoption by a well-known commercial entity, for example in the way Steam adopted Bitcoin a while ago. Dark markets are never going to increas the price substantially and quickly.
I don't count the current price for bitcoin as so bad. Well, of course for me, a girl who living only with bitcoin's earnings, would be better if the price for bitcoin will cross the point of 1000+$, but I think today bitcoin is kinda chilling after this big suddenly fall in the beginning of the month. Bitcoin jumps around 900$ for some days already. This situation remains me September of 2016, when after big fall after Bitfinex hacking, the price seemed frozen on the price around 600$ for month. And then continued to grow. I think now it's happening something similar and after some moment bitcoin will continue to grow. If your main income is bitcoin then you must be aware that in case of price increase your potential wage is going to decrease, you will effectively receive less BTC. We are now in interesting period, right after Chinese leverage trading was disrupted and their fake volume is gone. China will need to learn how to trade with real bitcoin. It might take a while, but when it finally happens we will have more stable price and less volatile market. Those not fake volume on China market trading as the price still rise more than $1100, but some whales want to take advantage from it. They, who maybe pump bitcoin in the first place as the price rally seems too hurry, I just assume that as manipulation in order to get profits, but there's no evidence of who are did it. Bitcoin will reach $1000 again obviously and all we need is more real adapters, not some investors which cash out again if the price increase. I think most of the whales are the team in the trading site i do not if what site actually are the whales because they know what will be happen people can be panic sell since $1100 is a new 2013 price pump and i think we will nearly stay long in $1100 if we touch again in that level.. after we touch again that price make sure you have ready bitcoin just to sell your few bitcoin not all just partial and the rest sell it if the price continue to increase.. |

Simply get a job to make a money. But in terms of trading you can just deposit in trading sites and trade ut with ither altcoins. Buy low sell high and that is how it works. Furst try to invest a very small money to know hot the trading system works after that deposit large or all of your money and start trading ang make a profit. Don't buy dead coins just the legit one if you don't want to loss. Just buy low sell high and start making money. Trading is a good idea but this is not the only source that we can get more money.. If you can search more and learn more visit other forums this is not the only forums that you will learn and earn.. you can learn something much better to earn high. like someone who are making money in youtube or facebook marketing... If you can invest for your own study and learn new skill you can use it for ever and i think you can increase your earnings.. Trading is good if you study it well and if you experiment different methods you will get idea and start a new methods that actually that can gives you more profit or stable profit.. |

I don't know why would somebody said something like that, Bitcoin is not dead. In fact I have a feeling that more and more users are embracing Bitcoin, at least in my community. And Bitcoin market is very vivid recently so Bitcoin is very much alive and can't just "die" or disappear over night.
That's true mate. In fact bitcoin is becoming more popular than ever.. I think bitcoin will be forever and will still keep going bigger.. and we are expecting to have more users on the future. yes that is a fact that bitcoin is now already of the most popular currency of the world and hope that it will become more and more stable as time pass, because people are investing their money in bitcoin continously. Bitcoin still not so popular we are still few users of bitcoin.. because here in my country if i am talking about bitcoin with my friends and co-workers they didnt know about bitcoin so i think we are still just fewer but i hope we can get more impressions and more well known alternative payment methods so that more people will use bitcoin and more investors will come.. |

Since the start of this thread, the price has jumped up a lot!
Yea BTC can jump or fall any moment. I have accommodate few BTC mostly by selling and buying alts. I want save BTC to better future and have something for retirement in it. I think that all fiat money sooner or later will land in toilet, while BTC will grow problems sooner or later will be solved. You are right, since this thread, bitcoin price too much jumped, even i save my bitcoin and now recently i have sold them, because of highest price of bitcoin, and it really give me superb profit. I never did any hardworking with my bitcoins, i did only hold them, and sold them in a high price, I also suggest don't save bitcoins for a long time, sell them when you think it give you double price. That's why savings in bitcoin better than any other currency or gold. While fiat money facing inflation every year but bitcoin keep growing in value. I've managed to save a little bit btc for future planning, I think BTC3-5 every year is good enough. sometimes when you hold bitcoin large amount fee confused once the price hit the highest. you will think to exchange it for a while take a benefit on high price . to buy again later when the price dropped a little which make you feel like trading , so reinforce your plan to invest for long term then go save bitcoin as many as you can. Almost all people are doing this the same buying bitcoin and wait for the price increase if they are lucky that the price hit even 20% its a large profit if you invest large number of bitcoin.. don't lose opportunity every time you can seen the price was increase just sell your bitcoin 25% so that if the price will continue to increase you can sell the rest.. just to save your profit that is why you need a large amount of bitcoin so that you can manage and earn profit.. |

Baka nga bumaba pa ng sobrang baba yan. Baka ngayon na mangyayari. Nung sa 55k palang sana nagconvert na ako, kaso akala ko aangat pa. Mababa lang yun tinry ko lang maghintay kahit alam kong malabong mangyari. malabo yung sobrang baba na sinasabi mo unless magkaroon ng major issue ang bitcoin na matatakot tlaga ang madami pero kung walang major issue hindi bababa ng sobra yan dahil hindi magbebenta ang mga miners na maluluge sila. sa presyo nga ngayon sobrang liit lang ng kinikita nila e, di kapag bumaba pa baka maluge na sila. parang nag suicide sila kapag nagbenta sila sa paluge na amount. wala naman sa news na sinabi ng mga intsik na may mag bebenta sila ng bitcoin.. ang epekto lang is maraming nag papanic sell yung mismong humahawak ng malalaking bitcoin mismong sila ang nag bebenta ..mga galawan sa coinbase mataas parin ang presyo compare sa ibang exchange site sa mismong gdax. sa palagay ang isa pang naka epekto is yung coinbase ang mismong my issue hindi yung china.. dahil maraming nag cocomplain about sa credit card nila na bakit double payment daw ang nakuha nung biumili sila yung iba naman is bumili pero hindi pa credit saakin naman hindi nag credit ang send ko galing sa electrum ko not credit sa coinbase account until now no reply after 7 days.. simula nung bumagsak ang presyo from $1k.. sa palagay ko yung movement ng presyo ng bitcoin ngayun are parehas lang tulad ng dati.. kung icocompare mo.. |

This is just a normal movement of the price and i think china are not selling many people are just panic sell about the news their heard but i think better to be relax because the movement of the price is just like the same in the past movement last year..
And i think they don't let the price going to be low again because miners could not profitable anymore if it will happen..

Scared Chinese people are pulling their money out of OKC and Huobi in fear of government investigation into the exchanges and exposing fraudulent behavior. The price on OKC and Huobi is now more than $50 below the western exchanges while before it was the other way around. If you believe the Chinese government will not do much except make the exchanges promise them to be good and take a bribe or two then now could be a good time to buy and make some money.  Well, what if it gets banned in China after the investigations? What will be the implications then? Will we recover?  Yes this is the kind of fear that's making the market drop right now. You feel it don't you? Want to sell your coins right now? Its not a good idea to sell bitcoins right now the price of bitcoin right now is decrease and i think we are in 700 level back again. but i think the price can rise again back. i hope that it will not decrease more soon.. Bitstamp someone are still pushing the price up.. and i think if chinese are selling their bitcoin i hope there is other people are buying more bitcoin just to pushing up the price of bitcoin those chinese they are planning to centralize and they are attracting other to panic sell so if you sell you will just lose.. Go bitstamp traders go push back to $800 value above.. |

What's preventing Bitcoins from being accepted as mainstream payment forms? I'm working on a new blockchain and would like to learn what drawbacks of Bitcoin urgently need to be improved high fees and slow transactions. also im not sure if its true but some say transactions can be reversed now which means fraud is possible? until these things are adressed bitcoin will not go mainstream IMHO. there is also a lot to be improved in term of anonymity thats why coins like monero came to be I did not heard that bitcoin transaction right now can be reverse. so you mean they are added a reverse payment right now just like in paypal? The speed of transaction i think its fine and it is depends in your fee how much you want to to pay. if you are paying a small amount below default fee it your transaction can be slow.. so better to always pay above the minimum fee.. so that you can speed up your transaction.. |
