It's surely not server class CPU's. I'm mining away on my personally owned rack server.  I think they're just detecting big cloud instances. Anyways, It's a great idea. No scumbag instamine!

CPUID checks. Hostname checks. Server specific information checks. It's not hard.

I'd buy one, but buying these would make my mining rig ROI go through the roof. :/

I'm pretty sure that hosting instances are nerfed in the release binaries so that nobody can get an unfair advantage with it. Tongue

Probability mathematics/physics is a really damn confusing thing.

What's the point of GPU mining anyways? It'll drive the difficulty up and we're stuck with an even higher hardware cost for mining the same amount of money. :/

No. It works everywhere. Just fine. Although the 64bit version when created can be faster.

Thats the first time someone actually sends a tip.

I've activated 3 cores, and my primespersec is a measly 6. Friggin' 6!!! My PC is not *that* old. Is the problem that it's an AMD?

Processor   AMD Phenom(tm) II X4 955 Processor, 3200 Mhz, 4 Core(s), 4 Logical Processor(s)

It's possible. I found that some software compiled with intel's ICC compiler runs very bad on non-intel chips. Such as the linpack benchmark. It achieved only 7 GFLOPS on an amd chip that generally is as fast as my laptop's processor, which achieves 14 GFLOPS in linpack.

Maybe the same happens with other stuff.

We'll have to wait for the community to get their hands on it, im sure theyre gonna fork it to be the most efficient thing you have ever seen.

Hey guys, how many blocks have you mined now? I've mined 3 so far. 61 XPM.

5 here.

3 on i5 3450, 1 on g2010, 1 on i5 2500.

seems about the same. my rig has the almost exact same performance as the i5.

Trust on who's part? The seller or the buyer? Because you don't need much trust as the seller if you're selling everything in your private key, and you later use a new private key.

Very dependant on luck it seems. A pool would distribute this luck more evenly/fairly.
