6041  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: September 15, 2019, 10:04:28 PM

Yep, on the women's side it's very unpredictable.
This unpredictable women Tennis actually lost me lol
There was a time for Hingis, Henin, Williams sister. They performed consistently.

These days I only know few faces: Bencic, Andreescu, Osaka and few more :-P

LOL, those where the golden years in the last 90's and early 2000's.. Martina Hingis spend 200++ weeks as number one women's player. You can add to this list, Kim Clijster, Lindsay Davenport. But now, it's totally different, we have like different winners every tournament. LOL.

So it's really hard to bet on them and you could really lost along the way.  Grin. Another case is Stephens Sloane, 2017 US Open winner, peaked at number 3, unfortunately we haven't heard about her since then and she was out of the top 10 this year.
6042  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tyson Fury vs Otto Wallins on: September 15, 2019, 09:42:16 PM
I was wrong to say that it would be a walk in the park for Tyson Fury against Otto Wallins, that cut he received as early as the 3rd round gave him problems and aside from it he us stamina issues as well. He was lucky that the judges favored him with this fight and I think Otto Wallins' future became better because of this defeat and he is in the same level of the top pro world boxers we have, this only proves that his talent is not only good against European opponents. Now I'm more concerned on how the future of Tyson Fury will be specially if its true that a rematch will happen against Deontay Wilder now that he has shown a lot of vulnerabilities in his style of play the chances of him being knocked out by Wilder will go up if he doesn't change the way he box.

True, Tyson Fury's dad was furious on the team behind and blaming them on the performance of his son. He said that there is no power of Tyson's punch, because the team had Tyson reduce some weight. On the contrary, majority of the boxing fans lauded Otto Wallins in this fight and given his gutsy performance. And if Tyson shows this way against Deontay Wilder, there is a chance that he could be KO. I don't know if he or the team under estimate Wallins or the cut really affected his performance. But he should be 100% prepared for the Wilder rematch.
6043  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Shit Dev not shit coin on: September 14, 2019, 11:55:43 PM
i guess it is time to begin to publish the names of shit developers on the forum in order to do some justice to the crypto sphere.

You can obviously do that, but it's going to be cyclical though, and you may have pile of names that nobody cares. But then again, the market is overly saturated with ideas that get repeated all over again. That's why there are a lot of shit projects of today because if you are going to look closely, there are no fundamentals behind that project. Just another regular developers who just thinks of scamming investors or listing their tokens on another shit exchanges and then abandon the projects and this goes over and over again. So what we can do is just stop investing on this kind of project so that they will just die down.
6044  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: More good news for Waves and... on: September 14, 2019, 11:33:07 PM
Price doesn't show it.

Is cryptoworld dead?Manipulation?Accumulation? Huh Shocked

https://cointelegraph.com/news/alfa-bank-launches-bank-as-a-service-platform-on-waves-blockchain

It's not yet showing because the market hasn't reacted it. And I don't like this artificial pump happening in 24 hours. If we saw Waves jumping that way, it's simply manipulation, no other explanation for that.

But if we see that the price is slowly but steadily rising and that investors started to see the potential (fundamental or technical) then it could be good in the long run though. So let's just wait and see how it will do with this news. One factor as well to remember is that we are still in the bearish of bearish trend, LOL, so we also need to consider this as why the price is not pumping with this news.
6045  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Andy Ruiz vs Anthony Joshua II on: September 14, 2019, 11:05:40 PM
This isnt only applied on Boxing but in all sorts of sports. Its never been good to look down on someone specially to your opponent because
you wouldnt know if there would be some lucky punch would able to hit you.Even you do know your capability is much better than the other
side but these circumstances would really turn the table upsidedown. On the upcoming fight im pretty sure that Joshua will reclaim that belt.

Maybe Anthony Joshua was over confident that he can just blow away Andy Ruiz. And another factor I've seen for his lost though is that Ruiz is not his original opponent, it's Jarrell Miller. So he might not be pump or psyched for Andy Ruiz prior to the fight that's why his mind is not on this guy but the next fighter in line (Wilder). Anyway, there are no excuses, it's time for Joshua to get back in track and he is still the favourite to win despite the "infamous" upset.
6046  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How using Tor Browser increases bitcoin theft? on: September 14, 2019, 10:46:55 PM
On Tuesday the Localbitcoins published a warning on its website. The notice dedicated to Tor users stated that the use of a Tor Browser exposed them to risks of Bitcoin theft. It is unknown whether the message was visible to only Tor users or others as well.

it doesn't---no more than using firefox does.

i suspect localbitcoins is feeling very pressured by regulators (european commission, finnish government) regarding AML enforcement. i'm not sure if regulators are specifically telling them to clamp down on TOR (or VPN) usage, or if they are just trying to be proactive to please them. but this seems like an underhanded attempt to discourage IP address obfuscation techniques.

Perhaps the former, every law enforcement agency are putting pressure on crypto exchanges this year and those people behind are caving in that's why recently they require KYC.

So I'm not surprise by the announcement though, if they want to continue with their business I guess they're going to follow the same path as other trading platform today, obey or shut down.
6047  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin Halving Countdown and Other Data on: September 14, 2019, 10:30:39 PM
Are you sure guys that halving will pump btc?
Look at ltc nothing has changed

You can't compare BTC and LTC with regards to halving. LOL.

Based on BTC past performance, it is really a catalyst for a new All-time-high, it's just a question how big it is going to be and how long are going to achieved it.

First BTC halving, it took us, more than 500 days to reach a ATH. From $2 to $270, do that math how much gain we have.

Second BTC halving, took us 1000++ days, from $160 bottom to 2017's peak at almost $20,000.

So in a hindsight, a 12,000–13,000% increased from the last bottom of pre-halvening to the peak of post-halvening.

Have you try your local exchange?

[1] (https://www.coinhako.com/)

Or try LBC

[2] https://localbitcoins.com/country/MY

[3] Or try the community Currency exchange board: (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=53.0). Just as others are saying though, Escrow is a must here, here is a good list to choose from: (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5047302.0).
6049  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Coinbase UK Agrees to Return 60 BTC to Victim of Email Phishing Attack on: September 14, 2019, 09:32:31 PM
Wow!

That's an honest company. Unlike Poloniex which still hasn't paid back what it stole from its customers.

Read my lips: if you have to choose between Poloniex and Coinbase, don't hesitate a single second, go for Coinbase.

We can't really compare Polo and Coinbase as far as handling sensitive cases like this one. Polo doesn't care about who loses or who have been hacked, if we saw their names in the press, they do nothing that's why they have lost in the game since 2017.

While Coinbase wanted to remain on top and will do anything to protect the integrity of their platform and is willing to reimbursement any victims. As for the rookie mistake, yeah, not every so called hacker in this crypto verse is intelligent.  Grin
6050  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Shit Exchanges, an end to good projects. on: September 14, 2019, 09:19:43 PM
One reason is that projects is really testing the market first that's why they listed their coins in a shitty exchange, or maybe they get a good deal with the people behind the less famous exchanges. Or maybe the CEO of the project has a close relationship on the founder of an exchange. That's why you can't really blame them for listing it to that platform. This is a free market, developers have every right to do anything here, just like what traders or speculator do with their tokens as well. I'm not defending them, it's that it is also unfair to blame everything that's happening to the market to the project itself. We put pressure on them to get listed, and then when they do listed their tokens, we complain and bitch around.
6051  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: September 14, 2019, 09:59:29 AM
Trofo is right.

Grand Slam winners = 2,000 points
Runner-up  = 1,000 points
Semi finals = 720 points
QF = 360 points

Masters 1000

Masters 1000 winners = 1,000 points
Runner-up  = 5,000 points
Semi finals = 360 points
QF = 180 points

Master 500, 250 same point system just cut it in half.

So Medvedev can still catch up Roger Federer at the end of the year if he landed at last into the semis, runner up or winner to gain more points, so a 1,000 point lead is not enough.
Owe you here and thanks to both of you.

I was thinking about the huge gap between top two and third/fourth rank. But it seems like a good planning in a GS and executing it properly can rank up a player very quickly. It's much easier for a good player when their opponent (in the point table) eliminates early from a tournament. Like that happened with Novak Djokovic in the US Open.

Right, if any of the top 3 is eliminated early and didn't reach at least round of 16, there is a good chance that he can rank up pretty quick specially if Medvedev is going to win every tournament he enters. I think 10 points is automatic to gain once you enter tournaments though, but it doesn't make any sense. You really need to be consistent rearching finals/semis to be in the top 3. So it is still a wide and open reach and Medvedev can really enter and break the top 3 this year.
6052  Economy / Speculation / Re: [2019-09-12] Bobby Lee Suddenly Makes $200,000 BTC Price Prediction on: September 13, 2019, 10:25:10 PM
So he is setting up 'a new cryptocurrency startup that will make it easier for the average Joe to spend crypto' , then he suddenly made a $200k Bitcoin price prediction; sounds to me like a marketing strategy. Just his way of stiring up interest and bringing in more investors as some investors are losing hope in the price of Bitcoin

I'm not saying that Bitcoin can't reach that price, it will certainly do, glad he didn't say it's the ending of the year like others did.

Pretty obvious that the guys really needs to attract some attention here by predicting exorbitant price and then at the end promote his wallet. And it's really not hard to spot though, specially if you have been in this market already and you have seen this kind of sweet talk to get beginners and noobs listen to him and then make a pitch about his product. Maybe next week we may see a tweet from him saying that Bitcoin is going to reach $1 million, like what John "gonna eat my manhood in tv" McAfee.
6053  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tyson Fury vs Otto Wallins on: September 13, 2019, 10:05:14 PM
I guess the idea is to give Tyson Fury the weakest legitimate opponent possible without the fight looking like a complete circus.

Tyson Fury is such an unpredictable guy that if they put up a threatening fighter against him, on an unstable day he might lose again,

which would prevent the title rematch and be a huge financial opportunity lost for the promoters...

But it's already looking like a circus already, he seems not taking Wallins seriously, IMHO.

And we also know that Bob Arum really knows how to protect his cash cow right now. We have seen him doing the same "weak" champion fight with Pacquaio before. So he really needs to careful select and cherry pick so that it would derail the multi million fight with Wilder later.
6054  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Holding Altar coins seems foolish ? on: September 13, 2019, 09:50:02 PM
Cry I had some investment. What I understand in a short period of trading.Altar coins are foolish to hold long.Whenever I hold coins, I lose.Is there any way to get rid of it? If you know please be benefited.

What the hell is Altar coins? or do you mean alternative coins, or altcoin for short?

Anyways, what can you except to hold those coins. We are still in the bearish market and it's really hard to make money with this kind of trend. Unless you are a experience trader and really knows how shorting really is. Although it is still hard to short altcoins to begin with.

Of course there are ways to get rid of it by dumping your altcoins. How long have been holding though? Most holders here takes years to hold their coin and wait for the price of it to go in a upward trend before dumping.
6055  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: September 13, 2019, 09:37:10 PM
I think reaching the finals in the US open, push Medvedev to the 4th position already and should be switching places with Thiem, ranked 5th now.

@Royse777 - him winning Cincinnati open put his name in our radar. Also he won the Sophia Open early February this year so definitely he has the potential to be the next future number one here.

Yes I think they switch places and depending on how well Medvedev does in the tournaments coming up as we could see him finish in the top 3 at the end of the year. Medvedev is just under 2,000 points behind Federer so I'm not sure if he can achieve a top 3 finish but with the form he is in I wouldn't count him out on winning a few tournaments coming up. I think if Federer wins one of them or makes the final then he would shut Medvedev out of a top 3 finish. I think its going to be a great battle to see who finishes in the top 5 with Thiem holding it down right now but Zverev is closing in on him and lets not count out Tsitsipas who is just 1,100 points from the 5th ranking.

It's possible that Medvedev can still land inside the top 3 at the end of the tournament depending on his performance in the next tournament and of course we will have to see how Federer will perform as well.

His Cincinnati win lands him in the top 5, and then his runner-up in US Open push him in top 4. And there are still a lot of tennis tournaments in the this calendar year. Hope he remains healthy though, as this is one factor that can affect his performance and slow him down.

Well if he is able to continue on with the form he is in then it is looking likely that he will end the year ranked in the top 3 thanks to the other members here posting how the points are score for winning and making finals in the up coming tournaments. It will be interesting to see if Federer will play in most of the remaining tournaments to try and keep his top 3 rank.

I hope so, he really need to keep that form by entering lots of tournament prior to the end of the year. At least he can have so much experience and there's nothing to be ashamed if he ever does not land on the top 3.

@Trofo, @TravelMug - Thank you for the explanation about the tennis point.
6056  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Rapidpay plan to Launch 1st All-in-one Cryptocurrency Platform Globally on: September 12, 2019, 11:00:24 PM
Is your coinrapid wallet open source?

And yes, we want to know about the team behind this project as well. I can't find it in your website. Better put it there because crypto enthusiast want to be sure as projects turns out to be a scam and suddenly disappear and exited with tons of investors money.

Looks like you have a very ambitious projects in the pipeline, so best of luck!!!
6057  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tyson Fury vs Otto Wallins on: September 12, 2019, 10:40:34 PM
Presser/Face-off,

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jAJWut7fGZ4

Look at Tyson Fury, he seems to be enjoying every bit of it.

As for the undercards, guys the fight is part of the Mexican independence day festivities, so it make sense for Bob Arum to put mostly Mexicans in the card to make money.

Emanuel Navarrete will be defending his belt here so just take it easy. Maybe we can see some good and entertaining fights prior to the (boring) main event.

The Faceoff is very funny and very unusual, I'm thinking what Wallins pulls off an upset here, the guy has a knock out punch, no doubt he can even put a guy down with one punch, this video will prove it https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ST8YSPmZnhk

Although he does not have fast hands like Ruiz, if he can connect that powerful left hand he has a chance yo upset Fury.

Right, very unusual faceook and it looks like both guys like each other.

Deontay Wilder went full 12 rounds with Tyson Fury. That guy definitely is the best puncher we have in the HW division and Tyson was able to withstand it. So I doubt that Wallins can do damage to Fury. Besides Tyson also has a good head movement, hard to target if you are looking for that one punch KO. And Wallins can get frustrated and in the end Fury will caught him around the middle rounds.
6058  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Bull run 2019-2020 on: September 12, 2019, 10:16:39 PM
It is highly likely that the market will return later this year. Since reaching $ 10,000, bitcoin seems to be losing growth. The market faces the bear market again. Now is the time to store as many altcoins as possible and hope to get back what we lost.

I think you underestimate Bitcoin, it's slowing but it doesn't mean that it's losing growth. One good news is all we needed to, and then the price will go on another upward trend.

Yes, I guess the bull run will still happen this year 2019. I am still a strong believer that before the halving, the "All Time High" will still be reachable.
I thought that we're on a bull run now because bitcoin finally hits $13 but it fell down all of the sudden. But the timing is good and price is much higher than few months ago. We are maybe on the first phase of the bull run and the gains that we are having right now is a normal gain of the market and isn't brought by hype.

We have seen worst dump than that, $13,000-$10,000 is not that significant to Bitcoin market. We can sleep tonight and all of the sudden the price goes on a 10%-20% the next day, that's how Bitcoin's volatility is and this is not a cause for alarm.
6059  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why bitcoin is falling and when will it end? [ANSWERED] on: September 12, 2019, 10:00:16 PM
There is no big fall in price, the market keeps on gaining momentum for the next big price pumping. Based on the chart it is predicted for a chance of fall in value, to what extent this gonna happen is unknown. As we experience the price of bitcoin to be strong above $10000 we can expect growth even if there happens a drop in the price.

There is a big support around the $10,000 levels that's why the price tends to stay around or above that price. But it is still possible that it can go lower than that. We are just trading sideways, in the last month or so, a indication that demand is slowing down, but it doesn't mean that it can't go and reach our latest high around $13,000 this year.

I believe that the end of the bear market has ended as the market value of bitcoin has now remain steady above $9,000 for a long time now and I believe that the momentum will continue in an upward direction with look of the look of the current market chat as compared to the past chat history of the market.

We need some catalyst for the price go to up, maybe we have to wait what Bakkt's impact on the market at the end of the year to have a upward direction this last quarter of 2019. Maybe $15,000 could be target and then we look forward for the next block halvening.
6060  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Rare behavior in low liquidity tokens on: September 12, 2019, 09:42:58 PM
Probably it is a Bot.  The transaction is too fast for you to see.  There is also a possibility that exchange is manipulating the sales but it is more probably the owner of the token you are trading.  I also experience this kind of stuff but I just ignore it since I cannot do anything about it. I just set my sell order and leave it until the order is fulfilled.

Probably, but this let me ask myself: why? What did they win with that?

Maybe there is a pump-and-dump group behind using a bot trying to manipulate the price. And tell their members that they are indeed can control the price of this coin. Just simply some preparation for them to make it looks like they've holding majority of this coin and then one day push the price again followed by a big dump. Or just exchanges as well, its possible because we don't see what's going on from behind. There's a lot of things that can really happen that is hard to explain. You can event suspect that the project itself is doing some manipulation as well. There are so many angles to look, IMHO.
