They are down 9 cents and it will go down further we will see more of this news, they should address this issue ASAP or the losses will double, holders, will dump Ripple  SEC is just too powerful to ignore, remember they are the ones who stopped Libra from progressing, thi scould be the end of Ripple I hope not.
It will take time for them to handle this lawsuit. This isn't just as much and want to remove it, it wouldn't be gone easy. It has to go through the process and they need to take care of it. I haven't seen any news lately on how they'll handle this issue. But the sudden dump of XRP's price is the collateral of this news and lawsuit that they're getting. It really can continue if no good actions from them will be shown and made and more delistings coming. SEC is SEC and it's really a powerful part of the government that can take down and implement rules.

wow, didnt expect the price decrease will be this fast. xrp holders are cashing out as the threat from SEC is real. if in case this will be delisted while the case is active, this will be doomed for quite a while. XRP team should be doing something to avoid this panic from their xrp holders. just like bitwise - https://www.coindesk.com/bitwise-liquidates-xrp-position-in-crypto-index-fund-following-sec-suit-against-ripple. they liquidated their xrp position and bought other assets instead. though it is only $9.3M worth of xrp but the impact to other institutions holding xrp may be alarming. who knows, not only them but others are secretly liquidating their xrp assets? this is a mess going on...
It was fast that we can imagine because the news scattered quickly and it's a very serious news. Not just those FUD news that we see before and this time, this is for real. Two executives are having hard time right now to face this lawsuit. Even if Ripple will do something right now, they can't stop the panic that this news had caused. The only solution they can show to their investors and holders is to face and win this battle. That's all they need to show that they are serious with what they had started and protecting their investors.

6043  Economy / Economics / Re: Loans are cheap good time to use loans for Investment in btc on: December 24, 2020, 09:46:17 PM
It goes up If biggest Players want.
We dont know their plans.
One thing what we know when money is cheap the risk assets prices going higher.
Real estate doesn't have risk but it's an asset that still at high even with this pandemic. You're idea of getting loans even with cheap interest rates for buying btc will make someone assure that this investment will make him rich and profit because there's no volatility.
It happened in the past and just don't commit the mistake of others that took loans for btc. It's not that really good at all. If you want to invest in btc, don't ask for a loan, just use whatever you have but don't take a loan. A very high risk and high reward strategy, others can't attain to do it because it is not suggested.
6044  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Ripple XRP Price in 2021 on: December 24, 2020, 09:11:47 PM
The only solution for ripple to win against SEC. there's no another way for ripple to avoid this legal action for the company. If ripple can't win and we will not see ripple again next year.
Two ripple executives will be jailed too caused by that. Ripple is in a very difficult situation.
True. They need to deal with it and win against the SEC's lawsuit. It is their only way to reclaim themselves and make XRP price push back. SEC is very strict and they are also chasing other projects or those ICOs that have violated their rules. There are other projects that they are chasing. Note it that it has been 3 years since those projects were made and yet they're still going for them. That's why this is really a tough battle for XRP but with all the money they have, they can deal with the process legally and if there's necessary bail, they can do it or paying the fine that SEC will give them.
6045  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Snipie's gambling investment test on: December 24, 2020, 08:50:41 PM
Very right. Investing into casinos isn't like investing in crowd fundings that you'll get the most after just a couple of days that it has launched. This investment really requires a lot of patience and first weeks result aren't your best results, expect them to be wavy or even at loss.
That's why the longer term you'll be in this investment, the better progress you'll get.
Wont really be an assurance but somehow you are really on that advantageous side  since you are with the house which we know that it do always wins in the end.

This would really be a bumpy ride since not all days where house is taking advantage. There are players or whales that can wreck up on sites profits which would really
mainly affect investors money.

Some said that he should make up some take profit earlier? If you do go for short term duration then you would do that but if op's view will not matter into this
current gains or losses then its up to him on when he would make out such decision.
It is what you're with, you're in favor because you're with the house. That's already the advantage a bankroll investor should think of. It is the reason why it's best to look for it in the long run but if you think that's too much and very slow, don't invest on it.
Having huge wins made by whales, that happens for sometimes but not all the time. So if ever there's a whale that have won, you don't have to do anything and let it flow with the losses, as you also take loss with the house.

6049  Economy / Economics / Re: Some Company are holding more than 10000 Bitcoin on: December 23, 2020, 10:26:46 PM
A holding game for most of us. If these big companies are holding then we should do the same. We'll get to notice if they will start dumping it at once, the price will definitely react.
But as of the moment, while most of them holds, we should also accumulate while they do. The supply in the circulation are getting lesser this time because they're also competing to take most of the newly minted coins and they are on a "keep on buying" process.
Honestly I'd love to know if how long they are already holding, and is there a way to verify their holdings like an address where we can check and monitor if we want. These are big companies who believe in bitcoin's potential, so they'll hold, but the question is, are they are into "HODL" or "HOLD" only?
They are not on the rich list because the highest that I've seen is 168k bitcoins on 99bitcoins. I don't understand the difference of hodl and hold, they're the same right or what's the context with that quote?
6050  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Ripple XRP Price in 2021 on: December 23, 2020, 09:52:16 PM
It has dumped today and this is the reason why.
And if this continues and won't be solved, we see a not so good 2021 for it.
^ The problem of the XRP is this, it is always regulated by the government and possible also it is manipulated by them. So, we can't really trust this coin if you are talking about worth HODLING them. Nevertheless, they are right, when it comes to transactions, it is easy to use XRP and mostly useful just like in a bank transfer, but when we are talking profit upon holding, I will say no, that is not worth it.
I don't think that the government(SEC) is just manipulating this situation. They won't file a lawsuit if they don't see Ripple done anything wrong. But here they are and doing things that are necessary and their job.
I agree that talking about profitability for XRP isn't a thing this time unless they will start mending this lawsuit and talk to SEC and set things correctly. The price will start to recover but how long? we don't have any idea how long it will take.
6051  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Africa's Bitcoin revolution is rapidly growing on: December 23, 2020, 09:32:08 PM
An article was published a few days ago, a country from Africa is the #2 largest market through paxful and other countries from the same continent too has large volume transactions.
Nigeria is now the No.2 bitcoin market on this fast-growing global marketplace
I started to see and was surprised when Nigeria started to adopt bitcoin, and then many countries in Africa started using bitcoin and even legalized it. I can't stop thinking if a country in Africa is even first to use crypto. but I am still confused on what basis they use it?
Registrations and stats through a platform like paxful, you can see it on the article I indicated above.
6052  Other / Politics & Society / Re: What's the propose of vaccine if countries keep on accepting flights on: December 23, 2020, 09:11:25 PM
The world had gone through several lock downs and international flight bans months ago. And that hit the entire economy for each country that did it big. That's why the whole world in the globe cannot just implement a ban altogether. Businesses are coming back and it has to relive the economy.
The main thing is that life goes on, with or without this corona virus, flights, transportation will keep coming back operational. Those flight bans these days will only be specific to those that has alarming cases although we need to take care, we can't do with that. Economies are mostly down and many jobs will be gone again if all flights will be banned.

6054  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoins and new all time highs on: December 23, 2020, 07:53:20 PM
I think that's a good timeframe for most projects. If they will stay up to 4 years then they will able to survive for the longer term. Most projects are only showing their goodness at the beginning but being forgotten what they've showed to their investors.
Real use is no longer appropriate to them as long as they deliver their token into an exchange and become tradable. That bear market on 2018 have extinguished a lot of tokens that really have no usable purpose.
They have survival certificates and senior investors know what to do when the altcoin season comes.

I never care of the goodness at beginnings. Every projects say good words about their products, development plans and future speculation. Real projects or scam projects, it is the words PR teams will do. What I pay attention on is after 3 months to 6 months, if one project shows activities and works, I will follow them more and might invest.
That's just the start with those span of months. True to it, that most projects will say such good things about themselves just to get the sentiment of their investors and soon to be investors.
This has been the circle of the projects at the beginning, they'll show some good stats and PR stunt moves which will move the investors feeling and will show positive sentiment towards that project. But after all of those for show, they will start to act different a little until they finally lie-low.
6055  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Snipie's gambling investment test on: December 23, 2020, 07:23:42 PM
I must say that I really noticed that you did not earn on the first few weeks of your investment. And if I were on your shoes at the time, I would have withdrawn my investments in a snap. It is a good thing that I have seen your list and I now realised that by making this investment with dice games, I would definitely earn in the long run. I have gained confidence and leaner to have faith to make such investment even if there would be no progress in the first weeks.

If you decided to withdraw your investment just in few weeks after you invested, you can't be an investor. Investing isn't make you suddenly rich or double or tripled your money in very short time. If you looking OP stats, he is only +5% from 18 weeks invested on Yolodice. Best way to invest your money, just invest your money and forgot about it

No one knows if they would still be existing after several years. You can compare these projects to the old ones that once became popular and then no longer popular in the current time.
Time is a powerful indicator for one project. If one project is able to enjoy a cycle of four year in crypto, survives and has good communities, volume on exchanges, it can be a good project. Although that project can be a good one, it does not equal to better than bitcoin. If any team try to seed their project is better than bitcoin, it is their advertisement and self assessment, that is unreliable. I enjoyed the market in 2018 and I saw many shit altcoins have prices higher than $50, $100 for nonsense. They are dead now or months ago.

After this news, a lot of thread came out asking for the reason of why XRP's price is going down. Just like this one - Any ideas on why XRPs price is fluctuating?
Having that said, it surely is affecting the price of this coin. While most of the cryptos have recovered from the bloody day that we had yet XRP remained to be at its current price at $0.4 and still going down.
6059  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Any ideas on why XRPs price is fluctuating? on: December 22, 2020, 09:57:51 PM
This is what I think the reason of what it shows lately. XRP holders are selling due to the fear of this news.

It has dumped today and this is the reason why.
And if this continues and won't be solved, we see a not so good 2021 for it.
6060  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Video Game Addiction, a very real problem. on: December 22, 2020, 09:24:44 PM
Now there is a whole new earning opportunities be it streamer, tournaments or betting. So they are not only money sucking machines.
You saw that too. Whenever there's a huge company developing a game like CDPR that just launched Cyberphunk 2077. There's a huge noise it made in the gaming world and many were interested buying it and it actually made a huge sales. Although there's some issues that they're facing right now due to the early release (it has been postponed many times). Still, this is one of the scenario that video games are serious business these days. Entertainment is one of the biggest money making industry in the world today. And out of these games, players can create content which can also make them money if that's what they intended to do. You see a lot of gaming content creators are making out videos and money from playing games. As I've said and you've said, it's a career these days.
