i tried the ignore button on AdamWhite just to get a sense of the feeling it would provide and i gotta say guys its like drinking your first coffee on a monday morning after having done some heavy drinking in the weekend before. The only thing i struggled with was perhaps missing out on his intelligent, witty and entertaining posts after hitting the ignore button once and for all

Anyone else notice strange behaviour with the latest Darkcoin client daemon.
On one service I run the response time for 'darkcoind getinfo', for example, is around 30 - 35 seconds (dedicated server with 32GB ram).
All other coins on the same server have response times of sub 1 second.
Also the client regularly seems to get stuck on blocks behind the main chain. For example the client is now stuck on 235905 where as the main explorer is showing the current block as 235924.
"version" : 110125, "protocolversion" : 70066, "walletversion" : 60000,
- pls upgrade to walletversion 61000 with Commandline option -upgradewallet (make a backup first !) - pls check in your debug.log for any of these errors ''ERROR: ReadBlockFromDisk :'' if you find such error then delete everything except your wallet.dat and darkcoin.conf to rebuild your blockchain.

Please community can we not reply anymore to Adam White and IceBreaker, they can't have a conversation with themselves, and quite frankly no one cares what the trolls think, so there is no need to correct them. They feed on attention and that is why they are here so lets not give them what they really want.
I will keep an official list of known trolls:
1. Adam White 2. IceBreaker
That will be enough for lurkers if that is what you are worried about.

So much fud and troll here, why not have an moderated thread?
yes very much this I am tired of scrolling thru each page and half of the posts say "This user is currently ignored." and this thread is so large the search function doesn't work properly new DASH moderated thread please! look at it this way : the bitcointalk forum serves as a lightning distractor : it will get the trolls focussed on one specific place while our other forums (darkcointalk.org / reddit) can gather strength. In the end we need to get new users from outside the bitcointalk forum and still get exposure in the bitcointalk altcoin section, keeping it here unmoderated gets us that.

Darkcoin : Eternalized in cyberspace

Darkcoins no longer exist; they are dead and never coming back. They are now DASH (DigitaltrASH) instead. Sorry you worked hard on your project only to have Dear Leader suddenly pull the rug out from under you, without the benefit of warning or discussion. QUICK, go make physical DASH so the same thing can happen again next time Dear Leader wakes up and unilaterally rebrands on a whim, with zero fucks given about the cost to anyone invested in the old name. Makes the pieces more collectible. Perhaps will make a physical Dash next year? You want to make physical version's of Digital Cash? Oxymoron anyone? Actully - when I 1st seen this - I damn near fell out of my chair laughing.......................... ......................"a little late to the game there bro" But maybe a 1st mover on Darkcoin nostalgia - hell who knows edit: What the hell is the back-side suppose ta be? Some made up shit? Or did I miss something? Hey guys, thanks for the feedback! Seems a bit of a hornet's nest around here atm. Thanks for the posting and with regards to the hornet's nest .. we are used to it, trolls gotta do what trolls gotta do. qwizzie Jealousy is bred in doubts. He had two choices : list the advantages of Monero over DASH/Darkcoin or fud/troll DASH/Darkcoin, seems that the latter is easier to do.
The first option would be off-topic, so thanks for the invitation to discuss the latter.
Let's start with Digitaltrash's trusted 2nd tier, aka PonziNodes or MadoffNodes.
Trusting 3rd parties defeats the point of Satoshi's proof of work breakthrough.
Trusted 3rd parties are a non-starter for anyone who takes security seriously. So is security through obfuscation, but we'll save that lecture for another day.
honestly, this clearly shows a mis-informed opinion about Darkcoin / DASH and its 2 tier network if you start your argument stating masternodes are trusted parties.

dash is a dumb name.
thank you for your input

So now the name change...How does this work? Is my DRK transferable into DASH?
It is just a name, nothing changes, same addresses same blockchain, same everything. The way it works is: when we are ready we change the name and the logo and that is it. In the meantime is business as usual, actually making the changes will take a bit of time and coordination. Not loving the new name, especially now that people are calling it digital trash. How long is it expected that the name change will take? And what should we expect as the floor on the price? Worst case scenario we see a giant panic sell. Although that gives us an opportunity to buy more. It seems to me that many people trade without understanding the inner-workings of a coin. So does anyone have a prediction for the floor on DASH? Once Otoh's wall is eaten or pulled you might be looking at 0.005 area for a floor IMHO. Lots of unhappy bagholders and the uncertainty about name change. sure, as soon as someone sells DASH / DRK wearth of 100 BTC only to find out Otoh has a lot more hidden DRK waiting to buy. He cant support it forever. what is stronger ? a big determined bullish whale known for his longstanding and upmoving buy walls and in full support of current dev team roadmap or the sell side of the market that seems to be deminishing per day ?

KNOWLEDGE AND WISDOM
Damn, What set you off? Seriousely? PS You can't discuss and ignore someone at the same time. Unless you're a hypocrite or surrealist who enjoys performative contradiction. Sure we can, its rather effective too. But lets be honest here, the real reason you are so upset is that you were exspecting this rebranding to break the Darkcoin / DASH community up and when you noticed we didnt you couldnt handle that and resorted to below the belt troll attacks on the Darkcoin / DASH forum.
