6101  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Hitbtc is not helping me to recover my fund nor catching the hacker on: November 25, 2019, 12:56:01 PM
I n the first place, the first suggestion that they've provided to you about reporting the concern to the local police is already a trash suggestion. Not all of the people in the world knows cryptocurrency. Police have many things to accomplish and they will not sit in a table studying how cryptocurrency works especially the transactions. They couldn't even make their own wallets. (Based from our country). Meaning to say that the exchange should solve the issues and they should know not all countries have their police sector who is busy studying cryptocurrency transactions frauds and crimes.

If this happens in my country police will have no idea how they are going to treat this case, Hitbtc has a lot of bad reports on their support, so you need to be very patient on how you are going to approach them, at least they are helping you, you can get a lawyer who knows Cryptocurrency, you can ask a lawyer to create a request under their office, if they refuse to address this issue so you can escalate it to a court but this is going to be expensive on your part but only do this if you want to pursue and these people are not doing something.
6102  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A whale transfers $310 millions worth bitcoins for a ridiculously low fee!!! on: November 25, 2019, 11:02:12 AM
Bitcoin Whales seems to be in action despite bitcoin prices going downwards, and this particular whale just transferred $310 Millions worth Bitcoins for 0.32 cents, and yes you’re reading it right just 0.32 cents. Now open your bank site or any other money transfer site and just input a few thousands or few lakhs of dollars you wish to transfer, the transfer fee will blow your mind out.

What I’m failing to understand is why are we subjected to higher transfer fees when we transfer with fiat, why can’t our banks charge us lower transfer fees? Is it not possible for banks to create their own tokens using blockchain, and allow us to transfer using those tokens and thereby allowing us to have the lower fees advantage?.

What are your thoughts on the transfer fees, have you ever taken it up with your bank?. Lastly I believe the time has come for these corporations to stop looting us, and give us fair transfer rates don’t you’ll agree with this?.

That's really mind-blowing, for the first time, things will get easy transferring a very huge amount, this is one of the reasons why I left my banks and discontinue using my Paypal, the transfer fee is just mind-blowing,  this is not the first time it happens, it happens to all traders holder and investors in Cryptocurrency, and this is one of the best features of Cryptocurrency that's worth promoting.
6103  Economy / Economics / Re: Can online platforms like Youtube and Facebook really be decentralized? on: November 25, 2019, 09:49:06 AM
thanks guys, but no reply really answers my question how this would look in detail Wink

I've checked all the post and your post so far you have not come back, to clarify if any of the answers suffice already suffice you, both social media have no hint to become a decentralized platform because they are successful on what they are doing, maybe in the future, this can change, once they faced a competitor that is using a decentralized platform, and this posed a big threat to their supremacy
6104  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin's Ups and Downs over the last 10 years on: November 24, 2019, 03:47:07 PM

I think that amidst all the market chaos that we're currently going through, it's important to remind ourselves that we've already been through hell and worse.

My top events:

2008: First whitepaper comes out by this random guy named Satoshi Nakamoto

2011: First big competitors such as Litecoin start to emerge

2013: First BTC ATM launches in a coffeeshop in Canada

2016: Steam videogame platform starts to accept BTC

2017: Bitcoin hits $19K.

What are your top/low moments??  Grin

I have so many ups and downs since I started here, but unfortunately, I have not recorded all of it, not only on Bitcoin but altcoins too, I have not completed the ten years since I entered the community halfway through but I did experience, it's the best time when Bitcoin hit it's all-time high, I guess this is everybody's favorite all-time ups so far, hopefully next year will present us another milestone.
I have
6105  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: It’s dying for the 378th time, so when’s the 379th? on: November 24, 2019, 01:12:38 PM
Bitcoin and leading cryptocurrency prices have taken a major hit over the last couple of days. As you might expect, there are no shortage of volunteers to deliver its last rites given the recent volatility.

Over the last 24 hours, Bitcoin has shed around $14 billion from its total market capitalization. This has brought the price down to around $7,180 at the time of writing.

Source link here

For the 378th time, Bitcoin is dying.

I’ve seen a lot of news over and over that “Bitcoin is dying for the XXX time”. I wish somebody from the press would actually have a different kind of headline such as “Bitcoin was resurrected for the 378th time”.

At the end of the day, you can’t kill Bitcoin. It may have died 378 times, but was resurrected 378 times as well.

It’s like we’re playing a Playstation “Bitcoin” game with Gameshark cheat codes enabling “Unlimited lives for Bitcoin”.

I can’t wait for Bitcoin to die (and resurrected) for the 379th time. Grin

The way how the market is moving and the way how people react, it could even reach 1000 times, I like that we have something like the Bitcoin obituary https://99bitcoins.com/bitcoin-obituaries/, that recorded the many times Bitcoin was reported dead and get up to make a huge comeback, it's a big testimony that Bitcoin is here to stay no matter what happen.
6106  Economy / Speculation / Re: Disturbing on: November 24, 2019, 10:43:54 AM
It's kinda disturbing how every major overhaul is a result (Probably) of China's action towards the crypto space. Last time when BTC jumped from 7.3k to 10k, there were talks that it was China's announcement regarding their choice to concentrate on developing blockchain technology. We've seen the gradual stabilization of 10k to 9k then dropping down to a bull run of 8k and at the moment, 7.1k. The progress from 9k - 8.1k took a few weeks to say the least, and yet, BTC suddenly took a drop from 8k - 7.1k, ever so closing into the 6k mark.

And at this point in time did China announce that they are vowing to ban all local crypto exchange inside their country. This isn't a result of them having majority of their local market for the crypto, but a genuine ban on it and instead said that they would focus more on blockchain technology instead.

source: https://cointelegraph.com/news/bitcoin-drops-below-73k-as-china-vows-to-dispose-of-exchanges

Since they have spoken we have need to get used to it that China will not accept Bitcoin only blockchain, but I highly doubt if they can stop it's people to hodl and use Bitcoin, they can do it in their jurisdiction, but we have Chinese already in Cryptocurrency and there are Chinatown or Chinese in every part of the world, and this is only for Xi Jinping administration, government come and go but Bitcoin will still be here.
6107  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Tete vs Casimero on Nov 30 on: November 24, 2019, 09:59:28 AM
No doubt that Tete is a strong one but his over self confidence will eat his own words. Let's see who will gonna eat.

"I have fully recovered from the shoulder injury and I will be testing it on Casimero's chin," Tete said.

He should rather save his confidence on the game.

He is already in England via a first class flight (is this a news lol) and they contacted a Filipino restaurant there for his nutritional needs.
Wow, that's a first! Lol!

Leave alone the self claims by Zolani Tete, the fact is that he played his last game in October 2018 where he defected Mikhail Aloyan, but he has not played any game in between and no one can be sure of his current form. Also only in the game it will be seen how well he has recovered from shoulder injury as Casimero will surely target his injured shoulder.

That's only a week to go and this is going to be an interesting fight, I almost forgot this, I'm still betting on Casimero, this guy knows how to win a very important fight and he is used to fighting in a foreign soil, he is motivated more when he is on his opponent ground, and besides his opponent is just recovering from an injury i will bookmark this fight.
6108  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Deontay Wilder Vs. Luis Ortiz II on: November 24, 2019, 08:48:25 AM
Like everybody is expected wilder knock Ortiz out and it was on the seventh round, Ortiz was actually winning the fight until that right punch,
The fight was quite boring heading to the seventh round, and Ortiz caught Wilder with a big punch but Wilder only need one punch to finish the fight.
One blow "BOOOMSQUAD" in round 7 ends this fight!
in the previous round, Ortiz looked so convincing in this match, but that one blow changed everything. maybe the age factor plays a role here, is it the time for Ortiz to retire?

He should be, I just knew it's a matter of time, Wilder is looking for an opening for the whole fight because he knows he has knocked this guy out and he can do it the second time, and on the seventh round just as Ortiz is gaining momentum he was caught by a straight punch.
You cannot really underestimate a guy with a power punch, because he will released it anytime and what a good timing
6109  Economy / Speculation / Re: How much can bitcoin cost in Future. on: November 23, 2019, 04:44:56 PM

“This is because as mass adoption of cryptocurrency grows, more and more digital assets will be launched – by organizations in both the private and the public sectors. This will increase competition for bitcoin and dent its market share.”
Green expects the bitcoin and wider cryptocurrency market will expand by “at least” 5,000% in the next 10 years — meaning it could be worth $20 trillion, up from $400 billion today.
Now bitcoin price 7282$

Damn this is a great figure, people are so positive and so right on the price not only by one expert but everyone who is analyzing it's potential, I have no doubt on it's potential, and I'm glad and excited that I have been reading all these kinds of stuff.
It's like I'm on 2012 and reading it's potential all I have to do is invest all I can and all I could, not only on Bitcoin but all the other top coins in the market.
6110  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you have control or not? on: November 23, 2019, 03:58:51 PM
Can you consciously and willingly stop gambling at any time?
If you can do the above, you have great control and discipline, of course you are not an addict and you deserve to gamble as much as you want.
If not, clarify your ways of stopping gambling.

The first thing you need to control is the amount of money you have to spend gambling if you can control the amount of money you will gamble then you can consciously and willingly stop gambling, you control your money, you control gambling and you are a disciplined gambler, gambling is money, control your money and you control your spending.
6111  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoiners now is your chance on: November 23, 2019, 03:26:55 PM
Bitcoin still dominates a very large proportion of the market. And I think Bitcoin dominance should fall, for increase in altcoin prices. Therefore, I think we should wait a little longer for altcoin prices to increase.

I don't think it's going to drop in the next two years, although I really love for the dominance to drop. next year we are going to have a halving and this will strengthen, Bitcoin's hold in the market, as history is our witness, Altcoins can narrow the gap if they can generate support from investors, and they continue their development so they will be adopted.
6112  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Deontay Wilder Vs. Luis Ortiz II on: November 23, 2019, 02:11:57 PM
'I'm coming for you baby... get the job done and meet me for battle': Tyson Fury warns Deontay Wilder not to slip up against Luis Ortiz

Fury is a funny guy  Grin Hope Deontay finishes Ortiz quickly and feels himself ready for next fight against Fury.

That's why Fury is likeable though,  Grin

@Darker45 - definitely we wanted to see 'upset' here as we have seen in the first fight that Wilder was tested but Deontay was able to stand up in that faithful 7th round. But just imagine if Ortiz win this and then Ruiz closes up AJ for good. It will really shakeup the HW division.

Then we will have Deontay and Joshua fighting as would-be challengers for heavyweight championship and it's not going to be the main event anymore and both fighters will fight with a much smaller prize since both are not champions anymore, and the heavyweight division would be very interesting, as two former great champions relegated to being challengers.
6113  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Bounties (Altcoins) / Re: Complete KYC to get Ultra coin tokens on: November 22, 2019, 04:20:23 PM
Earning free tokens has never been easier. Get a great start in joining Ultrablock, a cryptocurrency exchange platform that fuses the intricacies of trading with the fun of social networking and more. All you have to do is complete your KYC to get free Ultra coin tokens (UTL). Know more about the airdrop campaign by visiting Ultrablock.

Until now, there are still KYC in airdrops, whereas these airdrops are useless, and people are still participating in airdrops hoping that it will become profitable in the future, but out of thousands of airdrops, only very few are profitable, people should be aware of the dangers of doing KYC, from a project that does not have compliant to government.
But not all people do not know this, people are always attracted to anything free.
6114  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Paypal CEO Is a HODLr, but Only Owns Bitcoin on: November 22, 2019, 05:45:10 AM
PayPal CEO Dan Schulman, in describing why the payment company decided to withdraw from Libra, also revealed that he is a hodlr of cryptocurrency, but only Bitcoin.

Interviewed by Fortune magazine, he answered the question if he personally owned any cryptocurrency:

“Yes. Bitcoin.”

He is holding it for profit, not for anything else he stated
Quote
It’s more commodity-like than it is cash-like right now
. I doubt if he will integrate it into their system, he did not have high regard for other Cryptocurrency, but there's a possibility that this guy might create a cryptocurrency for his company because nobody wants to be left behind.
When big companies are doing it, you cannot ignore it and become disinterested.
6115  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 30th South East Asian Games on: November 22, 2019, 04:55:20 AM
Thailand, Indonesia and Malaysia are the three countries that will continue to dominate the events based on their past performances in the last events combined, the Philippines can perform here they once lead the medal tally when it was held here, and besides they have the home advantage I see them as the darkhorse but unlikely to become number one here

6116  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Recent Data Breach: "1.2 billion people exposed" on: November 22, 2019, 03:20:34 AM
There was also a data breach of 1.19 billion confidential medical images in the last few days, including names, addresses, dates of birth, and social security numbers, as well as obviously the imaging in question, but apparently this is a separate breach and the numbers are just a coincidence.
Probably not. The same dude tweeted this:

Can't understand one thing, if it was data breach, company had to say that during 72 hour and if they are in silence, idk, such thing happens? It's serious breach.
I don't think it hasn't been 72 hours yet. The dude made a new tweet. I assume the new postponed release date is the 72-hour limit.

It's like an emergency button for us I hope it's not gmail I am looking on all my files and checking everything I am not into microsoft because I know how weak their security system is, and I'm very limited on all my social accounts, we may have to wait for this big announcement and see if there are casualties, I may rethink my options on keeping my files if I found what it is.
6117  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Have you ever been stolen or lost your BTC? on: November 22, 2019, 12:29:30 AM

You can't really assure your coins is safe even if you have installed the wallet on your desktop or your phone, since the physical characteristic of these devices can still be access by someone who had accessed your private keys, its these private keys that you need to keep safe. Some are just making sure they won't forget the 12 words in their mind and they can now travel everywhere in the world with just that and they can access it after crossing borders.

One incident that I lost my coins is I lose my private keys and I believe many of us experienced this too. I don't have much to the wallet but its still a good amount to at least make me live for a month or two.

That's the beauty of Cryptocurrency, you can travel anywhere in the world and access your coins, you should be aware of all the risk involving in keeping all your coins be it in your wallet, in your phone in your vault but the best protection is your mouth and whom you trust if someone you know, knows about Cryptocurrency and private keys and he knows where you are holding it, then you are in trouble
6118  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [Question] The First Digital Currency You Can Mine On Your Phone on: November 21, 2019, 04:02:38 PM

Is there anyone familiar about this coin?
There is someone send me DM on FB saying that it will surpass what Bitcoin have now.

Mining using phone is a great, but I think it will make our phone slow.

Please take a look at this :

White paper
https://minepi.com/white-paper

Website
https://minepi.com/

This post is not advertise the said coin, this post is only for sharing thoughts about it.

All my family are now part of Minerpi network we are one of the pioneers of this Minerpi network and no one among my family is complaining that their phones are slowing down because of this software, there are already over 1 million on Minerpi network and the rewards or tokens that one can mine are deducting each time they reach a new membership milestone, but I guess it will take time before they develop the marketplace or get this in exchange, distribution is not yet starting.
6119  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Cryptotalk forum payment issue and many more on: November 21, 2019, 03:38:27 PM
I've stopped posting in Cryptotalk since the admins and mods tried to be smarter than everyone else. Now what they do is to delete huge amount of posts so the users have to 'owe' the post counting bot. – And you've to make the same amount of posts deleted to balance everything up. In the process of balancing things up, Your posts would still be deleted. And the circle continues.

I didn't mention that they've tons of rules now in place which weren't there at first.

I have an account here when the forum was just starting out, and I do get payment in the early stage, I made a return here just yesterday and starting to post again, but to my surprise, after making 12 posts only 1 was credited, and upon checking all my post, not one of them is deleted, I can verify that they have issues with payment, there are so many complaints but still admin did not install notification if a post was deleted.

I dropped from time to time and it seems they are banning a lot of accounts and deleting a lot of threads, and because of these there are backlogs of payments, they don't have to delete all the threads created by those who account get banned, only retain those that passed their criteria, I understand it's their forum I hope they can fix all the issues once they do I will be very active there again I only post 3 to 5 posts if I find something interesting.
6120  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why Create a Cryptocurrency in 2019? on: November 21, 2019, 02:31:39 PM
If you launched your project in 2017, people will be in a hurry to support, join and invest in your project, they will sing hallelujah for creating a project like yours, but this is 2019, investors and bounty hunters are wiser now, they have seen enough, so many similar projects like yours, that failed investor's expectations, so many funds are invested in a non sense project, I doubt if your project is unique from all the project that come and go.
