6141  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2018-04-12] Coindesk - Bitcoin Breakout: Price Jumps $1K in 60 Minutes on: April 12, 2018, 07:46:48 PM
Ok supposing someone ir a group bought into bitcoin, how much would it take
to affect the market as we saw today $1000 increase in 60 minutes?
6142  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Application Blockfolio on: April 12, 2018, 07:33:34 PM
Blockfolio is kind of  facebook for investment, because it uses your personal data to make market predictions and get the feeling of what people are doing. It is much better not to use it.

I use blockfolio but they dont have my personal info. I have my full portfolio
listed there and they seem to be fully up to date any time I log in.
6143  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Forced to change on: April 12, 2018, 06:25:37 PM
I think for sure it will make them change and im sure they are working
away diligently on their blockchain solutions right now!
6144  Economy / Speculation / Re: Seeing Green on: April 12, 2018, 06:22:51 PM
Great to see green because it might reduce the amount of negativity around
here and put an end to the silly "when is it going to rise" questions, although
im sure it will be temporary and replaced with "when will it pass $15,000"
6145  Other / Meta / Re: Bitcointalk is changing on: April 11, 2018, 09:32:13 PM
Apart from the shit posts I think the forum is becoming really repetitive.
Lots of people asking the same thing.

When is bitcoin going to rise? and Should i buy now? sort of posts, the
boards are full of them.
6146  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: which altcoins are here to stay on: April 11, 2018, 08:27:48 PM
Everything other than Ethereum, Litecoin, Monero and possibly Dash and a few others like Zcash
are here to stay because they are already in full use and are backed.

Most others are still projects and are in the speculation zone. It is early days for those eventhough
they promise a lot.
6147  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Cryptocurrency app on: April 11, 2018, 08:17:34 PM
Looks and runs well. I use Blockfolio and your one looks like a good alternative.
Your next move is to get some marketing going to raise visibility and get people
downloading and using it.
6148  Economy / Economics / Re: Imagine a cashless society on: April 11, 2018, 05:28:59 AM
At present, China is in such a way to go out without cash, only need to bring a smart phone, and solve all problems.

People pay and transfer only using WeChat and alipay, but this digital currency is limited to China.

I think we need a digital currency that can be used around the world, such as bitcoin.

Presently in Europe I can spend as little as €1 or as much as i have on my
bank account by my visa debit card. I can pay others and pay utility bills
by bank transfer. There is never a time where I need physical cash, i
actually dont need it.

Bitcoin will never be used widely in place of FIAT and i really doubt if there
will be any global currency other than the unofficial, unregulated crypto.
6149  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2018-04-10]Wall Street Getting into Cryptocurrency Makes BTC Price Go Up on: April 10, 2018, 10:09:32 PM
Theres a lot of talk of this soros guy getting into crypto investments for
good or bad? that remains to be seen.

So I wonder is he getting in, as in future tense?
Or is he already in and making announcement to influence the markets?
6150  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: great believers that bitcoin will survive?! on: April 10, 2018, 12:29:45 PM
I also believe in the long term. I believe there will be greater adoption
From buyers and sellers and companies accepting it as payment.

If/when the FIAT financial system fails again there will be a further
acceptance of BTC and crypto.
6151  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is something you wish you had known earlier about cryptocurrencies? on: April 09, 2018, 08:32:56 PM
That in 2018 BTC would be where it is.

Further adoption globally by all types of people

Adoption by traders willing to accept crypto as payment

That other great projects would mushroom around BTC

6152  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Cryptocurrency was created to be decentralized on: April 09, 2018, 12:27:14 PM
Well it was BTC initially which was set up to be decentralised peer-to-peer
paymeny system. There is nothing to stop people from doing this. There are
peer-to-peer exchanges though I havent used one. We can also trade with
each other!
6153  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Look back after a year of altcoin ? on: April 08, 2018, 07:46:23 PM
What do you have after a while finding out about altcoin. Can we lose so much?

Well even at this besr market where btc is continuously spiralling down, the value of my btc today is still higher than what it was exactly the same time last year. We probably just got carried away from the 20k run but if you think about it, if you started a year or two ago, you're still up a lot.

Yup im in the same boat. Just over 12 months ago i got into crypto and
eventhough the markets are down in FIAT terms im still up.

So im calling it for this time next year the people that bought at $10k
and above will also be able to say the same.
6154  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will Blockchain also bring salvation to photographers?? on: April 08, 2018, 04:22:23 PM
From what I can remember BELA was targeting photographers but I havent
been keeping up to date on that. Is the question targeted at disrupting
Shutterstocks model? if so I cannot see why not. No need for a third party
to be involved when there is blockchain and crypto.
6155  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: It's time on: April 08, 2018, 02:39:44 PM
Well, are you people ready to make a great money? The market has turned back to the growth. It's time to buy, don't miss the really moment. It's going to be very quick. Does anybody doubt that market will see many fold increase?

Ok yes we are seeing green signals but whats your thinking?
It is very hard to predict what way the markets will turn and for how long.
6156  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Soros is buying crypto on: April 08, 2018, 06:46:35 AM
Im not sure George Soros getting involved in crypto is necessarily a bad thing.
There is a lot of talk of how he could ruin crypto, how?

The way i see it is that he was calling crypto a bubble in january, but we all
know we had a big correction, now he sees a potential where crypto can
rise bringing big gains.

If he pulls out and causes a correction it wont be any worse than this one
the people who believe in crypto for the long term will stay true.
6157  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Poloniex and Bittrex fishy activities on: April 07, 2018, 11:59:30 PM
I have heard of this before here on the forum. We have to remember that
we are operating in a decentralised world with crypto.

I have actually seen it with SIA also last year. There are rumours that the
exchanges are falsifying prices so they can in theory put any wallet into
maintenance mode to prevent the flight of a lot of tokens to a rival site.
6158  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2018-04-07] Retailer Adoption of Bitcoin is Growing in the US and Canada on: April 07, 2018, 10:23:38 PM
Very interesting to know Newegg adopted BTC back in 2014. I often
wondered in this volatile market how traders accepting BTC payments
manage them. Do they hold the payments or liquidate them immediately?

Anyway great to see big name companies accepting crypto payments
and recognising the purchasing power of BTC owners.
6159  Economy / Economics / Re: Blockchain and Economists on: April 07, 2018, 01:42:23 PM
The process will start by upgrading the local fiat currency to a blockchain based cryptocurrency, accompanied by tools like transfer, exchange, taxes, KYC, AML, reporting…

A currency as a cryptocurrency has many advantages and will — from my point of view — change economics fundamentally.

It definitely will. And not necessary in a positive way. Governments all over the world are trying to eliminate cash and shift residents to e-money (whether blockchain or bank-based). The motives behind these are simple
- Increased surveillance over what you do
- No leakage of tax revenues
- Implementation of policies like negative interest rate or demonetization

This is actually the diametric opposite of what decentralized cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin set out to achieve.

I agree, total centralisation. We are already on this path, bank transfers, visa debit cards
where if its less than €30 we only have to present our card to a scanner. Its all disguised
as convienience for us and a way to spend easier.
6160  Economy / Speculation / Re: I want to sell the house car and on: April 07, 2018, 12:19:54 PM
Is it time to shine to get bitcoin. more falls? I want to sell the house car and buy bitcoin Undecided

This is a big call, i understand your urge to sell everything into BTC but
IMO you have to be prepared to wait medium to longterm. We all know the
markets are volatile and they could go either way.

Here is an article from last year of a family in The Netherlands who sold
everything for BTC around I estimate October, im not sure at what state
his investment is now though, did he samell at 20k or is he holding >
