It's happening, some major stake holder is simply selling every coin and the price of nxt on dgex is dropping fast.
We don't need panic machines like you around here, go to the quark guys or something.
622  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Nxt :: descendant of Bitcoin - Updated Information on: December 26, 2013, 08:43:52 PM
1,000,000,000 (1 billion) initial coins
73 initial adopters
so roughly 13.7 Million each (assume equal distribution)
at 21 BTC Total
0.000000021 BTC per coin

current market rate is about 0.00013 (6000x)

To those are who are buying these coins... most of the coins are being hoarded, so you can only buy them on the market for 6000x or 600,000% of what all of the 1 billion coins were paid for at genesis. The early adopters are being greedy, selling them at such a high rate for an unproven technology that hasn't been open sourced. Also, the exchange enforces a minimum order price. They're all already out in circulation, they collectively paid $3000-$4000 for them in September/October. And only a fraction is being sold on the market, at 600,000% premium.

Stop buying these coins so high.

The possibilities NXT offers are incredible.
That's what you pay for.
And a higher market cap then litecoin is much likely.

Taking into account that history repeats itself... At what mark will Nxt price go down?

If there are serious bugs in the foundational codes or assets exchange cannot be delivered for some reasons.

That and what's way more likely is that some big stakeholder cashes out, price will crash.

Anyone knows when will dgex start making transactions?

Made a request to transfer from dgex to my account on the 24th and still nothing.

up to 48 hours, it's normal
625  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Nxt :: descendant of Bitcoin - Updated Information on: December 25, 2013, 07:22:44 PM
Some transactions aren't added to the total balance of my account.
Yesterday they where... has that to do with a fork or something?
I run the 0.4.7e client.
Same thing in the blockexplorer...
626  Economy / Invites & Accounts / Re: WTS account name NXT on: December 24, 2013, 09:24:49 PM

PM with offers.

sent first or escrow else dont bother.

if you have nxt alias, then I will be interested. Account nxt here means nothing.
How can you even trade aliases?

People eating through sell walls on Dgex. We're going past 0.00006 soon.

So there hasn't been a new block for almost 2 hours now?
629  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Nxt :: descendant of Bitcoin - Updated Information on: December 24, 2013, 02:01:09 PM
So I bought some Nxt. But now when I go to localhost:7875 and unlock the wallet, instead of going to my original address, it seems like I create another one, with balance 0Nxt. How do I access my original address, to where I ordered to withdraw Nxt from DGEX?
With the pass-phrase you choose at the very beginning.

I already gathered quite some information about NXT and it seems absolutely impressive!

I set up my wallet and now I'd like to play around with a few coins and spread the word Smiley

637  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Jacob Appelbaum: "Bitcoin Prediction: Major bugs in the near future ..." on: December 20, 2013, 08:44:16 PM
March 2013, fork in the blockchain. His prediction was right.

I'm curious what his position would be now.

What bugs could occur in the bitcoin protocol?

Could there be a major flaw?
